I've just bought myself a high end pc. I've followed linus tech tips "building a pc" guide. Now my motherboard is plugged in the psu, aswell as the cpu and gpu. When turning on the psu, I get rolling rgb lights on the motherboard. But the cpu cooler and gpu fans dont turn. Also the rgb on the ram don't light up. Finally, I get no visual output from the gpu, neither from the motherboard.
I've tried to take off the cpu to see if I could've bent the pins on the motherboard, but they seem okay. What steps should I be taking? Should the cpu cooler and gpu fans be turning if they respectively get power?

A little backstory.
My mother had sever mental health issues and much of my childhood included emotional abuse from her.
After starting my own family, I made the choice to completely remove her from my life for my own mental health and the safety of my children. I have not spoken to or seen her in over 8 years and I have taken great care to ensure she does not know any of my personal contact information.
My Grandmother passed away last year and in her Will she left each grandchild a sum of money. For mine, there was a seperate clause that my mother had her put into the will which saw my inheritance to be put into a henson trust, which my mother is the special trustee of.
This was made before I was able to understand the level abuse I was experiencing, and before I became estranged from my mother and fits with an overall pattern of abuse I had to go overide her 'medical power of attorney' over my bank accounts when I turned 18 so I could go through the process of getting an apartment, because she never let me have access to them or my bank card, one of many ways she tried to keep me at home.
So I now find myself in my current position.
My mother has asked me to fill out a 'Trust Disclosure Form' because 'the lawyers need it for the bank'
This includes all of my personal contact information which I am not willing to provide her with. She has also sent me an email outlineing some scheme to use my trust (25,000) to shelter 130,000 of her inheritance so she wont get kicked off disability, complete with a 5 person board of directors to dispense funds ( only myself and 1 person of my choice, and herself and 2 people of her choice)
I am a perfectly capable adult with a wife and 3 children, one of whom has special needs and who would benefit greatly from this inheritance.
I genuinely believe due to previous history and previous communications that I will not be able to access this money without speaking or convincing my past abuser to give me small chunks of it at a time. (Her way of forcing me to engage with her again)
What do I do?

Purchased a home (Manitoba) and have been waiting a few weeks (4 now) for everything to finalize. Emailed my lawyer for an update and received this reply....
"With respect to the registration, we were advised by the Land Titles Office that the Power of Attorney used by the seller is deficient. We have sent the information back to the seller’s lawyer to have same corrected. It happens some time, but it’s the responsibility of the other lawyer."
I feel this is the responsibility of my lawyer as well, to make sure and review that everything is in order from the other lawyer as to avoid any delays such as this. Am I wrong to think that?
And does this mean that the buyer could potentially back out?

Saint Cyril, Archbishop of Alexandria, a distinguished champion of Orthodoxy and a great teacher of the Church, came from an illustrious and pious Christian family. He studied the secular sciences, including philosophy, but most of all he strove to acquire knowledge of the Holy Scriptures and the truths of the Christian Faith. In his youth Cyril entered the monastery of Macarius in the Nitreia hills, where he stayed for six years. Theophilus (385-412), the Patriarch of Alexandria, ordained him as a deacon, numbered him among the clergy and entrusted him to preach.
Upon the death of Patriarch Theophilus, Cyril was unanimously chosen to the patriarchal throne of the Alexandrian Church. He led the struggle against the spread of the Novatian heresy in Alexandria, which taught that any Christian who had fallen away from the Church during a time of persecution, could not be received back into it.
Cyril, seeing the futility of admonishing the heretics, sought their expulsion from Alexandria. The Jews appeared a greater danger for the Church, repeatedly causing riots, accompanied by the brutal killing of Christians. The saint long contended with them. In order to wipe out the remnants of paganism, the saint cast out devils from an ancient pagan temple and built a church on the spot, and the relics of the Holy Unmercenaries Cyrus and John were transferred into it. A more difficult struggle awaited the saint with the emergence of the Nestorian heresy.
Nestorius, a presbyter of the Antiochian Church, was chosen in 428 to the see of Constantinople and there he was able to spread his heretical teaching against the dogma about the uncommingled union of two natures in the Person of the Lord Jesus Christ. Nestorius called the Mother of God not the Theotokos, but rather Christotokos or “Birth-giver of Christ,” implying that she gave birth not to God, but only to the man Christ. The holy Patriarch Cyril repeatedly wrote to Nestorius and pointed out his error, but Nestorius continued to persevere in it. Then the saint sent out epistles against Nestorianism to the clergy of Constantinople and to the holy emperor Theodosius the Younger (408-450), denouncing the heresy. Cyril wrote also to other Churches, to Pope Celestine and to the other Patriarchs, and even to monks of several monasteries, warning of the emergence of a dangerous heresy.
Nestorius started an open persecution against the Orthodox. In his presence one of his partisans, Bishop Dorotheus, pronounced an anathema against anyone who would call the Most Holy Virgin Mary the Theotokos.
Nestorius hated Cyril and brought out against him every kind of slander and fabrication, calling him a heretic. The saint continued to defend Orthodoxy with all his powers. The situation became so aggravated, that it became necessary to call an Ecumenical Council, which convened in the city of Ephesus in the year 431. At the Council 200 bishops arrived from all the Christian Churches. Nestorius, awaiting the arrival of Bishop John of Antioch and other Syrian bishops, did not agree to the opening of the Council. But the Fathers of the Council began the sessions with Cyril presiding. Having examined the teaching of Nestorius, the Council condemned him as a heretic. Nestorius did not submit to the Council, and Bishop John opened a “robber council”, which decreed Cyril a heretic. The unrest increased. By order of the emperor, Patriarch Cyril of Alexandria and Archbishop Memnon of Ephesus were locked in prison, and Nestorius was deposed.
Soon Saints Cyril and Memnon were freed, and the sessions of the Council continued. Nestorius, not submitting himself to the determinations of the Council, was deprived of priestly rank. By order of the emperor he was sent to the faraway place Sasim in the Libyan wilderness, where he died in grievous torments. His tongue, having blasphemed the Mother of God, was overtaken by punishment -- in it there developed worms. Even Bishop John of Antioch and the remaining Syrian bishops signed the decrees of the Council of Ephesus.
Cyril guided the Alexandrian Church for 32 years, and towards the end of his life the flock was cleansed of heretics. Gently and cautiously Cyril approached anyone, who by their own simpleness and lack of knowledge, fell into false wisdom. There was a certain Elder, an ascetic of profound life, who incorrectly considered the Old Testament Priest Melchizedek to be the Son of God. Cyril prayed for the Lord to reveal to the Elder the correct way to view the righteous one. After three days the Elder came to Cyril and said that the Lord had revealed to him that Melchizedek was a mere man.
Cyril learned to overcome his prejudice against the memory of the great John Chrysostom (November 13). Theophilus, the Patriarch of Alexandria, and uncle of Cyril, was an antagonist of John, and presided in a council in judgment of him. Cyril thus found himself in a circle antagonistic to John Chrysostom, and involuntarily acquired a prejudice against him. Isidore of Pelusium (February 4) repeatedly wrote to Cyril and urged him to include the name of the great Father of the Church into the diptychs of the saints, but Cyril would not agree.
Once in a dream he saw a wondrous temple, in which the Mother of God was surrounded by a host of angels and saints, in whose number was John Chrysostom. When Cyril wanted to approach the All-Holy Lady and venerate her, John Chrysostom would not let him. The Theotokos asked John to forgive Cyril for having sinned against him through ignorance. Seeing that John hesitated, the Mother of God said, “Forgive him for my sake, since he has labored much for my honor, and has glorified me among the people calling me Theotokos.” John answered, “By your intercession, Lady, I do forgive him,” and then he embraced Cyril with love.
Cyril repented that he had maintained anger against the great saint of God. Having convened all the Egyptian bishops, he celebrated a solemn feast in honor of John Chrysostom.
Cyril died in the year 444, leaving behind many works. In particular, the following ought to be mentioned: commentaries On the Gospel of Luke, On the Gospel of John, On the Epistles of the Apostle Paul to the Corinthians and to the Hebrews; also an Apologia in Defense of Christianity against the Emperor Julian the Apostate (361-363). Of vast significance are his Five Books against Nestorius; a work on the Most Holy Trinity under the title Thesaurus, written against Arius and Eunomios. Also two dogmatic compositions on the Most Holy Trinity, distinguished by a precise exposition of the Orthodox teaching on the Procession of the Holy Spirit. Cyril wrote Against Anthropomorphism for several Egyptians, who through ignorance depicted God in human form. Among Cyril’s works are also the Discussions, among which is the moving and edifying Discourse on the Exodus of the Soul, inserted in the Slavonic “Following Psalter”.
Today we commemorate the repose of this great Father of the Church. He is also remembered on January 18, the date of his flight from Alexandria.

Unfortunately we're having to delay another announcement in order to make this one. If you've been anywhere on reddit the last week you've probably already seen other subreddit's announcing they are going dark for 48 hours starting Monday, June 12th. TexasPolitics will be joining them. It's taken us this week to wrangle together the mods and get everyone to weigh in, and that's why you're seeing us join the pack relatively late in the process.

How do these Changes Effect TexasPolitics?

By now, it should not be a surprise to hear that many of our moderators, moderate, on mobile. The biggest impact will the loss of access to our preferred third-party apps and tools that access reddit with moderator functionality. Moderating bots will be exempted but these standard commercial apps are not. I use Relay for Reddit side-by-side with the Official Reddit App, and that is largely because there are already features exclusive to the native app. 2 of our mods use Apollo, which will be unavailable at the end of this month.
In the short term, this means the community will likely get slower response times, and rule breaking (including site-wide terms) will remain on the sub longer. It's likely that some actions, depending on the amount of research, or attention, will need to wait until a moderator can be back at a desktop computer.
Right now, Toolbox, the tool we use to track rule-breaking behavior as well as a suite of other powerful tools will continue to be accessible, in part because they are a web extension that uses your active session, but please do check out their link above and support for the blackout. Pushshift which is another critical tool is currently working out a deal to stay up and is promised to be sorted in the coming weeks with some changes.
We actually do recognize Reddit's right and desire to charge for API access, but they've priced longstanding developers out of it being even a consideration for them. The internet should remain as open as possible, and many are reasonably upset with Reddit's advertising policies - which they will be subjected to on the native app, and the long awaited rumor that they are preparing for an IPO and need to become more profitable.
Beyond the pricing, the timeline is an issue. Developers have 30 days to handle the transition. Moderators are also lacking core functionality that many of these apps have provided that will not be added to the native app until the weeks and months following the API changes. We are actually really grateful for the increase of moderation tools over the last year or two, we've gotten a modmail profile card redesign, modmail harassment filters, native user notes, a revamped ban dialogue, better removal macros, subreddit karma hook-ins, revamped insights page, crowd control and many many more features. But to make the switch before your own native app is "feature complete" in your own eyes is not okay. The transition is rushed, and without a stated reason.
I'm actually not in the camp of the native app being the worst pile of shit. But there are some major problems. The first is that it's not easy to tell what has or hasn't been removed. In normal browsing removed comment are shown like normal comments, and only entering moderator mode do they show themselves as removed.... what? It's really difficult to click on a tiny orange flag that show's the report text. The app frequently "reconnects to the internet" and the chat which our mods main tool of communication is frequently buggy, not sending messages, or actually sending them but not showing them on the screen. Hell, I can directly paste a link to specific comment in the chat and it will transform the link to the thread as a whole - but the link is the same. I can long-press copy that URL and go to reddit on the mobile web and paste it and get the direct comment I intended to link to. Reddit, this is not great. Still, there is some good, removal macros are a time saver, and require less interactions than they even do on desktop. And we're genuinely interested in migrating form toolbox's user notes to reddit's new native system (despite being less customizable) which would give us a way to confirm when a user has racked up enough violation for a ban on the go, since Toolbox is a desktop web extension.

Is TexasPolitics going Offline?

We will be joining the blackout protest on June 12-14. During those 48 houses the subreddit will be set to restricted, and all posts and comments will be filtered. We'll do our best to make sure anyone missing this announcement ends up getting informed. There is no currently plan to re-open during that time even if there is breaking news.
After the protest TexasPolitics will re-open and continue to follow the protests. It is not on our radar to close this sub indefinitely as other's have stated they will. We will be closely looking at the AMA today for any future decisions, including the possibility of calling of the strike - but that seems unlikely since we have seen zero movement on third party app access or pricing rates. There's also plenty of behavior from reddit in their interactions with developers which has been astonishing to see, from claims that developers apps are inefficient without giving any metrics to self-assess, to even slandering the Apollo dev in public which they had to share audio tapes to clear their name.

A lot of people complain about Bleach that it had a lot of potential and could have been better but I don't see it. I think that Bleach is not build up to be a story like One Piece or have this huge world building which a lot of people expect from Bleach looking at the criticisms.
Another thing people complain about Bleach is that its just fights after fights which is a fair criticism but at the same time what else could have been done in Hueco Mundo except for fights. I agree that Hueco Mundo could have been cut short but it couldn't have had a better story than what we eventually got.
Of course people can criticize Bleach which I am not disregarding but at the same time I don't think Bleach as a story can have a detailed storylines, better worldbuilding or have better power system . At the end of the day Bleach was created for being a heavy battle shonen in mind rather than having an intricate story as people think it should.

I currently have a 2015 BMW 550 Xdrive with m-sport options. I really want to start to build a car that is more track focused. I was wondering if anyone had any experience or advice on tracking a “larger” sedan. I have put about 60k miles on it (~125k total) and I am thinking or maybe trading it in for a smaller BMW, possibly a 1/2/3/4 series but I do love the power from the N63TU (although it’s not the most reliable). I'm a Lottery (Green Card)winner initially assigned to Nairobi Embassy. But unfortunately, the Nairobi Embassy is performing very poorly with only 2 months left before the Fiscal Year ends. The US Embassy in Dar Es Salaam is performing very well and it's interviewing as many people as possible.
The major issue I'm facing is that my case has reached a point where the US government(Department of State) cannot transfer my case from one embassy to another embassy which means I'm technically stuck at the Nairobi Embassy & the US government doesn't want to transfer it. And if my case just stays at Nairobi Embassy, I might miss out on this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
The only option open for me is to now physically move to Dar Es Salaam and then request/convince the Dar Es Salaam Embassy to initiate the transfer of my case because I'm now residing in Dar Es Salaam TZ and "technically" deserve to be served. But the Dar Es Salaam Embassy doesn't also want to engage in those things because that's extra work for them. But if I convince them to believe that I'm a resident of TZ, they might consider transferring my case and serving me.
I'm in the process of moving to Dar Es Salaam on a Visitor's Visa. I will hopefully be in Dar Es Salaam next week. My big question is;

1. How can I convince the Dar Es Salaam Embassy to accept my case?
2. What would you do if you were in my situation?

I see a lot of posts about old focus trees that people are dissatisfied with old focus trees, but imo, the nations with simpler focus trees are more fun to play.
Hoi gamers are really out here thinking tank and plane designers are hard; and naval warfare impossible. But they are OK with reading a short novel everytime they are about to pick a 35 day soviet focus.
Idno man. I'd rather just pick a focus to get 2 factories in 70 days and focus on playing the game.
So I more often find my self playing nations like France where the focuses usually just do one simple thing, and I usually shy away from the newer focuses where I have to balance factions on the map and balance of power and civil wars and a million buffs to my nation's leader.

So basically never played a game like this before but I’m loving it so far but confused with a few things.
Basically I’m level 49, just finished act 4, and been doing a lot of dungeons/exploring.
I have some good aspects I want to apply but from what I’ve read online the aspect I remove from legendaries I can only use once, so I want to put it on a piece of armour I will have for a good period of time and not just replaced at my next dungeon.
All of my “item power” is around 560, so is now a good time to apply aspects? I read online that the max item power is 800 but I’m unsure if 800 is only available in tier 3/4.
So does tier 2 have its own separate item power max? Or is it 800, so I should keep grinding until I get item power 750 and then upgrade and use aspects?
Tried to find this answer online but couldn’t get a clear answer.

Our current strategy focuses on gaining as many signatures as possible with the petition ( www.change.org/ProtectThePorkies ). A petition may seem like a symbolic step, however it is the best way to represent public opposition. We reached 1000 signatures in the first week. This may not seem like much, but keep in mind that the closest town to the mine, Wakefield, only has a population of 1700. So far, we are making excellent progress. The more signatures the petition has, the more leverage it will have in gaining local and non-local news coverage.
Highland Copper Company Inc, the Canadian company developing the mine, has stated in the most recent news stories that they will not fully greenlight the project until early 2024. This means we have time –– not much, but hopefully enough!

Here is an outline of our immediate strategy with the petition:

1) Reach 2000 signatures --- at this point, we will contact local news
2) Reach 5000 signatures --- at this point, we will spread to non-local news and begin enlisting relevant organizations as signatories to give the petition more weight; ideally we will be able to inspire the Ojibwe Nation to join us, since the Presque Isle Scenic Area is their land historically and once was home to an Ojibwe village. Their voice would be a powerful ally.
3) Reach 10,000 signatures --- now we begin enlisting celebrities as signatories... maybe not Tom Cruise, but local names who are aware of the Park and are environmentally conscious

Other objectives:

1) Expand to social media -- Twitter, Instagram, etc. It would be fantastic to find a person devoted to the cause who could take on this role.
2) Organize an in-person Day of Action at the Park -- on a Saturday or Sunday in July, August, September and October, the Park is full of visitors. If we can organize an in-person protest, combined with media coverage, it would send a very strong message, especially since such events are not common in these parts
3) Documentary film -- showing the beauty of the area and the risks that metallic sulfide mining would pose
4) Other ideas?

This article updates a lot of the incorrect data floating around about bitcoin mining. The Cambridge data we’ve all been using has many flaws. Now that we have a more accurate reading of the energy mix, bitcoin mining looks even better.
Bitcoin mining is not primarily powered by coal based electricity. Apparently that’s not typical.
14% of the hash power comes from zero emmission off grid energy. That’s not in the Cambridge data at all.
There are 41 sustainable energy mining operations.
20% of global hashrate and 50% of US hashrate is in Texas on ERCOT. That’s good because Texas has a cleaner energy mix on the grid than the rest of the US.
