My late uncle passed in 2001. He was born in 1980. He was 21 years old. From what my dad(the eldest son, his big brother) told me, my uncle Z had a persistent cough that would not go away. Several hospital visits later, he was eventually diagnosed with Stage 2 Lung Cancer. All the family was told was that it was malignant. He was doing fine and he did all of his chemos except he missed one session. His last. Then shortly afterwards he passed.

1. Can lung cancer just pop up like that? Back then, nobody in the family smoked. He didn't smoke.
   
2. Do you think if he didn't miss that one session - we could've had him any longer?

He had been taking medication for abdominal issues and he went to the ER because he felt pain around his area. Less than a day later, left the ER with a stage 4 colon cancer diagnosis which had already spread to his heart. He hadn't even gone through choosing whether to do chemo as he passed at home less than 5 days later.
Just. Ultimate question is:
I just want to know is there any possibility that they had a painless death? Or at the very least with minimal pain?
Is there some tests available to see if like my family just generally has a genetic predisposition to cancer?

I am generally against the existence of laws and law enforcement, but this is something I've been wondering. How do we distinguish between children and adults without laws? How do we decide when someone is old enough to drive a car? Or old enough to have sex? Or old enough to make major medical decisions? I am of the belief that there should be a hard line for some of these things. If there's no hard line then it's a very slippery slope to some fucked up things going on. Obviously children do not have the mental faculties that adults do. How do we distinguish between a child and an adult without laws and law enforcement? I am generally against law enforcement but I do believe that something like an age of consent law should exist. I'm not cool with just letting pedophiles do whatever they want. Or letting little kids drive cars. Or letting little kids make medical decisions that they don't understand the consequences of. How would this work without laws and law enforcement? And don't even fucking try to tell me that pedophiles won't exist anymore in anarchism. Just don't.

I started taking the pill about 7 months ago, I got very moody and depressed as well as starting to struggle with insomnia, so I switched to a different one- Yaz (called Dizminelle in my country). My mood improved at bit but the sleeping issues remained, so after only about a month on Yaz I quit completely. Slowly but surely my sleep has been improving. However, my acne is also returning (the main reason for why I started bc), so now I’m debating whether to start again. Does anyone have experience of sleeping issues on bc, and in that case, did they subside? I know the body needs time to adapt to bc, and many symptoms go away after a few months, but not sleeping is something I will have a hard time “riding out”. I’m also wondering if maybe I should’ve taken them in the morning instead of at night, to reduce the effect on my sleep. Any thoughts or personal experiences on which time of day is best?

The players consist of a fet weaveknight, a half elf cleric and a human warrior (it has flavor and uniqueness I swear). They are all a part of the adventurer guild called "the silver fox". The guild is gigantic: it has outposts in most of the world's cities, has lots of ties to the upper echelons, and has enough resources to employ a bloated "army" of willing adventurers, that are sent to deal with a variety of missions that can range from overseeing diplomatic events, to finding missing persons, or even just an ordinary beat-up of local thugs. Escorting a tavern owner: this bounty serves to create a bit of intrigue and politics: a local businessman bought a tavern in a neighboring city but the last owner just mysteriously vanished just before the purchase was made, leading many in the city to believe that something foul is afoot and threatened the tavern owner. The party is tasked with escorting the tavern owner to his estate, due to a fear that he may be ambushed and killed. Before heading out they will be met by a mysterious stranger that warns them from interfering. He will offer them half of what the guild pays them if they won't intervene, and double that amount if they kill the tavern owner themselves. If the players help assassinate the tavern owner they will be introduced to a group of vigilantes who will also provide them will missions, although they're on the more violent side of things. If the party escorts the tavern owner and protects him from the ambush he will successfully open his business, and will provide the party with rumors to possible side quests.
This is the general idea of what I have planned, I'm also working on "random" encounters for the players while they are traveling in the overworld, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

My LO recently turned 18 months but for past month or so it's been a constant struggle at each dinner time to get her to eat anything other than yogurt.
Last night we made PBJ which she loves and eats usually but she refused to put it in her mouth, even just to taste, just looked at it and decided not to eat it. She also didn't want cherries, qusedilla, any type of spread on the bread, pancake, biscuits, just nothing. And it if was once in a while, I would be ok, but no , this happens most nights. Whatever we cook or even offer , she looks at it and rejects.
And it's not like she wasn't hungry, she kept throwing tantrums and then cried coz she was hungry but just didn't want to eat. Finally she ate a lot of raisins and half a pouch puree , half yogurt cup. This after about an hour of ordeal.
We are at our wits end as to what needs to be done. We try so many things, eating dinner together, tiring her out before dinner, nothing works. My doc is not concerned as she says kids go through phases. My LO was never a picky eater, she used to eat everything and a lot when she was 13-14 months, she won't even look at those foods anymore.
And she does eat ok at daycare, it's just dinners are the battles. Any advice?

Sooo why the fuck.. am i leaving a friends house… I go to the gas station like 5 mins away from my house and it was this boy (prolly like 17, 18) and his pretty white pit bull INSIDE the station… i walk up but was about to walk away cuz im scared of big dogs… so i walk back to my car and the boy is like “nahh u ok.. hes good” so i go in…the dog is cool, smells me and keeps movin…thenn a man walks up behind me to go in and the dog GOES OFF… like crazy… The boy ended up holding the dog by the skin of his neck cuz he doesnt have a collar for him.. He looked so defeated… so does “RED” (his dogs name).
So me.. i remember i have hella extra dog stuff.. i tell him wait 5-10 mins while i run home to grab some things… I go home get a collar that i bought that was wayy too big for one of my babies, a leash, dog food, dog treats, bottled water and dog bowls & take it back to the gas station.. Along with a lil money for the boy.. he took it and thanked me… put the collar on Red and the dog drank the water like he was so thirsty… he thanked me, then i left..
Now im here sad cuz i wish i could help MORE….. like i know i cant… i am far from rich… Im just here trying to get it for myself… This made me realize why ppl get tired, and depressed, although their life doesnt seem bad from the outside..TO ME i think i over empathize?

It was this girl I feel in love with after knowing her for maybe a month. A week ago she came over my house and slept over for maybe 2 days. She made a little bit of insults but also suggested to me that I should move in with her and start over. Maybe start a new life in a new city for the time being. She asked me to be her roommate and move in with her. Mind you she was the one who packed my clothes and literally forced me to move in with her so I did thinking this might be a good idea since I’ll go to a new city. Once we arrived at her house I noticed her attitude started to change plus her other roommates are lesbians and I’m the only male figure in the house. Her roommates noticed how nice I was to her and they saw that from how I presented myself. On the second day she started to say so many insults to me that I never heard before from her. I was shocked by the things she said. Said things such has I don’t like the way you dress/walk/act/talk(talking proper). These are the reasons she said she wasn’t attracted to me which came from her mouth. The term that came out her mouth was she wanted a hood ***** not a gentlemen. I didn’t know what to say to her. I told her I use to act like that but I changed because it wasn’t getting me anywhere. Than she said maybe I should go back to acting like it maybe I could sell some drugs and get some money. There have been a growing number of people who have been affected by an impersonating moderator by the name of u/rustrlder. We felt the need to make an announcement, as there have been many, many users which have been falsely banned by this impersonator. In this announcement, we'll inform you of what’s been happening in the past few days, and how to not become a victim of this.
For a little more than a week, we have gotten multiple reports of a user with a slightly different username than one of our moderators by the name of u/rustrider. The impersonator simply switched the ‘i’ with an ‘L’.

The impersonator stated that the user was banned, and then proceeded to act like an absolute asshole, making stuff up out of no where. Our moderators on pokemon would NEVER speak to a user like that. We strive to be polite, kind, and fair while making decisions as a team.
So here are a few ways to determine if you are talking with an inauthentic moderator

1. When we issue bans, you do not see our username. You see that it was sent by the pokemon moderation team.
   
2. If you click on the profile, it’s a relatively new account with no karma/posts/comments.
   
3. They’re making stuff up which you have not done
   

If you suspect someone is impersonating a moderator, please leave us a modmail with screenshots so we can assist you. Do not reply to the impersonator. They are most likely doing this for attention, so we must not feed into it. Lastly, report the user to Reddit admins so they can take care of the account.

tl;dr My SO got uninvited from a holiday with my friends, so it could become a 'boys trip', should I still go?
One of my best friends is Korean and is planning a holiday to go home and visit family and suggested myself and another good friend join him. Somehow it got lost in translation, that my girlfriend (who they know well) was also invited. This was my understanding until a week ago, when they informed me they thought it was a boys trip and my SO joining would change the dynamic too much.
My SO and I have a very strong relationship and had been saving together for a holiday together and we were naturally very excited about this trip. Now she is obviously gutted that my friends don't want her to come but has since come to terms with it and is encouraging me to go (although I have my doubts) as I am desperate to travel like most 23 year olds at the moment.
I feel like I will regret not going on the trip in the months and years to come, however at the same time it feels a bit wrong booking the tickets given how it has all played out.

Recently I was hit on by someone way out of my league. She caught me glancing at them a few times and later approached me to compliment me.
