Future-proof your life. If you use only AA batteries and you want 3 spares, you only need 3 spares. With 5 different batteries, you need 15 spares plus chargers. With AA you can carry it all in your pocket. AA-compatible devices can include AAA, AAAA, C, D, F, 14500, 18650, 21700, 26650, 32600, 32650, etc. Right to repair was first lost from tolerating proprietary batteries, pay per charge, and self-destruct explosions. To regain right to repair, you need the right to put in standard batteries.

2023.06.09 15:40 Important_Biscotti K10 won't switch on
Hello,
I bought my K10 Wireless a year ago. It has been working great so far, then suddenly 2 days ago it stopped working out of nowhere.
When I connect cable I see green LED light so I am assuming it isn't a battery depletion issue. But just to be sure I plugged the board with a wall charger and kept charging for ~8 hours. Unfortunately, no luck.
I reached out to Keychron support but they are saying since I am out of warranty there is nothing they can do.
Tried to flash the firmware but the tool doesn't even recognize something is plugged in to the computer.
Has anyone experienced this issue? I would really like Keychron support to at least help me diagnose it but they have been no help so far.

2023.06.09 13:14 Vowsss CPU Clock Speeds keep reducing to 0.78ghz
The clock speed of my laptop frequently drops to 0.78 GHz making the laptop unusable, as well as frame drops. It will go down, then go back to 1ghz, and so. Then manage to boost to between 2-4 GHz. Then drops back to 0.7 to 0.9 after a while.
- I have checked temps. Due to the CPU slowing down, CPU temps are not high. But I did a vbios flash, allowing my GPU to run at 115 watts. Could that be a cause?? The GPU ran originally at 90 watts. Also, If I was to leave the laptop for a while and it cools down, it usually works for a while. And oh, I also limited the clock speed to 1500 MHZ in afterburner, but even now, it is not maintaining 1500. It is on 1260, but temps are pretty high. Around 77 degrees with 0 utilisation, according to the task manager.
- It happens frequently when I am at school. Every day for the past couple of weeks. As I am typing this Reddit post, windows is having a complete stroke. But at home, it happens less. I don't know if it is the school's electrical wiring, which would be odd since it only happens to me. Well, it also happens at home, but for a couple of minutes or seconds, then returns to normal.
- Also, a faulty charger could be an issue. But I used the charger of my friend and had the same problem. The wattage of my charger is 230 watts, and his is around 185. Because before, I would use his charger, and everything was fine. I don't know if that causes it, but I wanted to point that out.
- It happens both on charge and battery. On battery, it becomes inconsistent, but not the inconsistency is apparent when charging, which is surprising. I do not know what to do. I have tried several things. I was even told it was a Windows issue, so I reinstalled Windows with a clean install, and this issue persists. Any help will be appreciated.

2023.06.09 08:39 A-Real-Schtibly Differences in 40v and 18v tire inflator?
I’m a red tool guy currently living in Japan, where Milwaukee is very limited, and Makita is way less expensive.
I need a tire inflator and I’m wondering if there’s any difference in the 40v inflator and 18v one? On the outside they look the same, and have nearly identical specifications.
I’m leaning towards the 40v one just because I have a plenty of 18v Milwaukee tools, and also a couple 18v Bosch. I don’t want another set of 18v batteries and chargers.
If I’m buying a new company, I might as well get a new system… right? It will open up the world of 40v Mikita tools to me. Whereas the 18v ones almost all have Milwaukee counterparts already.
The other option is to get the 18v inflator and use it with a battery adapter, but that just seems weird to me.
What are your guys’ thoughts?

2023.06.09 08:33 digicamenthusiast nikon coolpix s560 does not take photos in flash mode and flash never fires
i’m a novice to digital cameras and i just purchased my second, the nikon coolpix s560, from a buyer online. everything works perfectly except it refuses to take flash photos. the flash hasn’t worked once but i love the color, it’s in excellent condition and it was a great deal so it would be a loss to return it. but i really wanna be able to take flash photos and i’m not sure what the issue is here or how to fix it. it came with the battery shown in the 3rd pic that i recharged with the charger shown in the 4th pic thinking it was a battery try level issue. maybe i need a complete battery replacement or an original nikon charger but i don’t even know if that’s the issue here. if anyone knows what’s wrong or how to fix it please let me know!! submitted by digicamenthusiast to VintageDigitalCameras [link] [comments]

2023.06.09 02:51 pow22 Did I make out like a bandit? or did I get scammed?
Picked up a silver X-T4 with a 6700 shutter count, Fuji XF 35mm F2 WR lens, Viltrox 23mm F1.4 lens, Viltrox 85mm F1.8 lens, 1 OEM battery, 2 Wasabi batteries, a wasabi dual charger, and a Sandisk 128gb extreme pro memory card for $1200 off Facebook Marketplace with a local pickup. From what i can tell the sensor on the X-T4 body is clean, the jacks are all fine, the battery compartment shows no signs of corrosion, the dials and everything work fine, and the batteries are all healthy and show no signs of bloat or anything. I’ve taken it out a couple times and it shoots great/doesn’t have any issues from what I can tell. The glass on all the lenses are clean and the aperture rings are functioning. The only thing I haven’t done is throw a flash on it to make sure that works. I’d been shopping around for a used X-T4 as i was outgrowing my X-T30ii and from what I can tell this is a really good deal. Most used X-T4 bodies seemed to be going from anywhere between $1100 and $1300 so I hopped on this right away. I guess my question is am I missing something? Is there anything else I should be wary of/look for as I shoot more with this thing? Or did I actually make out like a bandit? It seems too good to be true… submitted by pow22 to fujifilm [link] [comments]

2023.06.08 22:52 Affectionate_Ad_9380 Yocan Buyer Beware!
Hey all,
I am a big collector of e-rigs and pens. When I want to buy something new or get a new device I will often check out these and similar Reddit subs to learn about the product. You usually have three types of people. The ones that are there to troubleshoot or have a problem, those thinking of purchasing and wanting to learn more and then those who got one recent enough to enjoy that devices content.
I have several Yocan products. Recently I purchased a Yocan Rex from LighterUSA. I wanted to try out the e-nail after seeing a YouTube video. When mine arrived, I immediately put it to use and fell in love with the function of it. After several cycles through the device it started to give me a series of flashes (3 white) and it showed in manual and online to be atomizer problem. Device came with two so I tried the second unused for troubleshooting, cleaned, etc. Long story shorter, it was a bad device so I sent email to LighterUSA and Yocan. LighterUSA apologized but only returns new unused devices and said all sales final. Then the communication with Yocan begins.
In my initial email I sent all the information you would need. My personal and contact info, the purchase date, the company of purchase, I included the receipt, I explained what I did and how it reacts as well as what LighterUSA said. I then spent a straight week of waking up to a email asking for a piece of information that was previously included. Then I was asked for video. I was told it was a short circuit and that I would need to contact the retailer as they do not hand warranty items directly. After reexplaining they had me fill out a form for warranty and then said they would contact LighterUSA to explain their warranty process. Days go buy and I contact them back for an update. The update was they are offering me a 30% off coupon to their site. I
went to the site and the device with shipping and coupon used would cost me more than I paid for original device to the house!!! Because its 30% off MSRP! So that's the 90 day Yocan warranty, spend weeks jumping hoops and get a coupon code in exchange for a device that died on day 1. I see sites online that sell the battery to the REX which is the guts that are broke for $18 and they are making a profit on that. So Yocan has chosen to not honor the warranty on a item that cost them peanuts. What if this happened to the Yocan Black series devices I was eyeing up? $150 device DOA and you get a coupon code for money off next? Well that stupid decision to refuse me a warranty replacement on a $18 item will cost them far far more with me and that's before I save and share this where prudent or when their brand comes up in discussion.
People deserve to know!! Stuff happens to devices and sometimes you need support. I have a large collection and over the last few years I have had to reach out to Loohak, Ispire and Puffco. Lookah and Ispire took care of me and rolled out the red carpet. Yocan is flat our refusing to honor warranty with no reason given other than they are a big company and don't want bothered. That's not ok and I will make it known. So if getting a bunk device is a concern for you when you make a purchase., know that Yocan comes with no support and no warranty and that's a first hand account from someone with all the receipts, video and email trail to share.

2023.06.08 19:45 UltimateAutismo Building first PC, it won't POST
Finally decided to build a PC after I started having issues with my laptop, however, I can't seem to even get it to POST.
I have: Gigabyte B660 DS3H AX DDR4 Intel i5-13500 2x16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200 DDR4 Nvidia 3060 12GB Be quiet System power 10
When trying to boot with CPU+stock cooler, 2 RAM sticks and GPU it powers on and the CPU fan spins, the GPU fans spin for a second or two and then go off and the CPU and DRAM LED's light up red alternately. Nothing comes up on the display. After leaving it for a while it switches off, and then reboots, but the same happens.
When trying to boot with CPU+stock cooler and 2 RAM sticks the same happens.
When trying to boot with CPU+stock cooler and 1 stick of RAM, the DRAM LED is solid red. Nothing comes up on the display, but it doesn't switch off again like it does with 2 sticks.
When trying to boot with just the CPU+stock cooler the CPU and DRAM LED's light up alternately again. It then switches off, reboots and the same happens again.
I am building outside the case for now as I wanted to check it worked before putting it in, but it doesn't seem to.
I have checked the pins of the CPU socket and none are bent.
I have tried reseating everything multiple times but that hasn't changed anything.
I have checked that the 20+4 pin and 8 pin CPU power cables are connected properly, and tried using the 4+4, pin but that doesn't change anything.
I have tried using Q-Flash to update the BIOS, as I read that may be the cause. When I do this the Q-Flash LED flashes for a while, then goes off. It doesn't reboot, but I'm not sure if it's supposed to.
I have tried resetting CMOS by jumping the pins and by taking the battery out for a while, but again doesn't change anything.
I even bought a set of 2x16 GB Kingston Fury 3200 DDR4 which is on the QVL, and the Corsair RAM is meant to be compatible but isn't on the QVL, but the same happens.
When the GPU is in I have tried both DP ports, and the HDMI port, as well as the DP and HDMI ports on the motherboard when the GPU isn't in.
Sorry for such a long post but I thought I should try and include as much detail as possible and explain all of my steps. If anyone knows what the issue might be please let me know, because this is day 2 of trying to get it to work with no luck.

2023.06.08 18:47 Asleep_Onion Garmin knocked the ball out of the park w/ Epix Pro 51mm
I've had a Fenix 7X Sapphire since launch day last year, and have absolutely loved it the whole time. It's a fantastic watch, and the battery life is ludicrous. I always felt a little bit of FOMO for that beautiful amoled screen, but the limitation to 47mm case size and 6 days of always-on display just didn't cut it for me.
Enter the Epix Pro 51mm. As soon as this came out, I knew I had to give it a try. Maybe not as a complete replacement for my Fenix 7XSS, but perhaps as a new daily-wear watch for everyday life and single-day activity recording.
I'm blown away by how good this watch is. First of all, it's already running firmware 13.22, so it's had 18 months of solid R&D into it, you won't be buying a watch with barebones firmware full of bugs. This firmware is solid.
So I thought I'd put together a list of pros and cons to share of the Epix 2 Pro 51mm versus the Fenix 7X Sapphire Solar, along with some of my thoughts.
Pros: - The flashlight is WAY brighter than the 7X non-Pro. It's at least 2x as bright. Turning them both up to full brightness and pointing them at the wall, the 7X flashlight pales in comparison, it's not even close. The new Fenix 7 Pro models do also have this brighter flashlight upgrade.
- The maps are GORGEOUS! With so much more detail, beautiful gradients and very clear contents. The weather overlays are nothing short of a game changer, and they look absolutely spectacular on the Epix screen. While this feature is also coming to Fenix, I can't imagine it will look good on a 64-color screen, and most likely I won't even try to use these overlays on my Fenix because it will just muck up the map and make the whole thing hard to read.
- The "dim" mode when the watch screen goes into standby in AOD mode while you're not looking at it, is still quite bright and much easier to read than a Fenix indoors.
- Garmin finally perfected "gesture" sensing. I never used gesture backlighting on my Fenix because it always did a terrible job of sensing when I was actually looking at my watch and when I wasn't, but they nailed it with Epix.
- I never really disliked the buttons on the Fenix 7X, but they've done something on the new Pro models to make them feel MUCH better. I'm not sure what they changed, but the buttons feel a lot more "crisp", if that makes any sense. The 7X buttons always felt a bit sloppy to me, although it never bothered me personally. The Epix Pro buttons are a lot more satisfying to press.
- I'm surprised by how readable it is under direct sunlight. This was my biggest worry with an Amoled screen, but they've made the screen capable of going so ridiculously bright that it can easily overcome direct sunlight. I think Fenix might (barely) have it beat, but honestly it's very close to being as good as Fenix outdoors.
- "Red Shift" mode eliminates most concerns about the bright amoled screen wrecking your night vision. It's very easy on the eyes, and great for checking the time in the middle of the night. You can have it automatically enter Red Shift mode during your sleep window, which is a nice feature.
- Epix Pro 51mm Sapphire looks and feels exactly the same as Fenix 7X Sapphire. I mean, apart from the screen itself, they are basically identical. I got both watches in Sapphire, with the same gray color, and even the same nylon straps, and they look and feel identical. This is a good thing for me, because it means that whenever I switch watches there won't be any noticeable change, nothing that feels odd or different, nothing I need to get used to.
Cons: - I don't like that the screen turns completely off when you're not wearing it. There doesn't seem to be any way to change that. It turns completely off, black, when you take the watch off. The reason that this sucks for me is I like to hang my watch on a hook in the shower, and be able to see the time and notifications while it's hanging there, but this isn't really possible with the Epix. I don't really cycle, but many cyclists who mount the watch on their handlebars complain about the same thing. On the plus side, I can tap the screen and it'll turn on, so it still sort of works for my shower scenario, but the Fenix wins here with its screen that is always fully on whether you're wearing it or not.
- Garmin doesn't fully take advantage of the higher screen resolution as much as they could. For example, its capacity to show data on activity datascreens is basically the same as the Fenix; even though they could definitely cram more data or detail into the screen by using smaller fonts, etc., they just don't. That's probably fine for people with bad eyesight who need larger data, but my eyesight is great and I would love having more detail and data on my datascreens even if it meant everything had to shrink. It would be nice if Garmin gave us the ability to choose whether we want to shrink everything and cram more detail onto the screen or not, but for now we're basically only stuck with one display style.
- The obvious elephant in the room is battery life. It's got very good battery life for an amoled screen, but obviously it comes nowhere near Fenix 7X. That being said, it's got excellent battery life for what it is. I charged it 24 hours ago, and have been spending quite a bit of time screwing around with the watch setting it up the way I want it, and 24 hours later it still has 94%, which is pretty darn good. But the Fenix would probably still have 98% under the same circumstances.
- "Red Shift" mode, for some reason, doesn't work in activities. It works everywhere else, but as soon as you start an activity it turns off red shift mode, and I don't know why. It even stays off after you leave the activity, until you turn it back on again. I assume this is something Garmin will address in the future, but for now it's a limitation that might be important to know about.
- Weather overlays on the map are, oddly, only available in the Weather widget. They're not available on maps within an activity yet. I suspect this will be added soon though, as I'm certainly not the first person to point it out or complain about that limitation.
- It still only has 32GB of storage. WTF, Garmin? It's 2023, and we've still got the same storage limit as Fenix 6 did in 2019. With modern data storage density technology, they should be able to easily cram 64GB or 128GB into these watches, so I don't understand why we still don't get enough storage space to store worldwide topoactive maps.
Summary: As I expected, it's not going to be able to fully 100% replace my 7X, for my own use case. However, it will definitely take over as my daily-wear watch, and my typical daily activities like running or dayhikes. The Fenix will continue to be my go-to watch for longer activities like backpacking and overlanding, but it will most likely live in the sock drawer when I'm not using it for that.
If I didn't already have the Fenix 7XSS, I might have strongly considered
only owning the Epix Pro 51mm, and making it work for everything by just bringing a charging cable and power source with me on longer adventures. It does 95% of what the Fenix can do, and if you bring a charger and battery pack with you then it can do 105% of what a Fenix can do. But sometimes I just don't want to
have to recharge, and so the Fenix will continue to be a part of my kit for that reason (and that reason, only).
TLDR; If you're
considering picking up a 51mm Epix Pro, do it! You definitely won't be disappointed. This is, in my opinion, the best outdoor watch
anyone has ever made.
And a side note about using multiple Garmin watches at once: This is a new concept to me, I've been using Garmin watches for about 5 years now, but I've only ever used one at a time. Whenever I got a new watch, it always immediately replaced whatever watch I had before it. So I thought I'd write a little bit about this for anyone else who might be curious how this works.
I don't think it was always this way, but as of now Garmin makes this process really seamless and easy. "Physio TrueUp" is no longer even a thing that you have to turn off or on or configure in any way, it's just always on, and there aren't even any settings for it anymore. It just works, always, by default.
When you add a second device, it asks you if you want to make it your primary device or not. In my case, I did make my new Epix Pro the primary device. What this does, is it tells Garmin to always use the data from that device whenever there is a conflict with data from another device, such as steps or HR that were recorded at the same time. But any time you're only wearing one device, regardless of which device it is, it'll use the data from whichever device you are wearing. It's quite seamless and very well done.
The Connect mobile app even communicates with both devices at the same time. Whenever a notification comes in, it pops up on both watches at the same time, and when I clear the notification from one watch it clears it on the other one at the same time. The whole experience is very well done, Garmin clearly put a lot of thought into making their ecosystem work well for people who own multiple Garmin watches.
I have heard that some things won't sync completely between devices, such as I think body battery and maybe some of the training readiness metrics. I haven't really played around with it enough yet to know for sure what the limitations are, but on the surface so far everything that's important to me seems to be pretty well synced up between the two devices.
And with that... hopefully this info helped someone! Feel free to post any questions and I'll try to answer them as best as I can. Cheers!

2023.06.08 17:54 Tubadude246 Stalled beyond a red light- will I get a ticket?
Today, after recently passing my driving test, I was driving my car (for the second time ever) to my MOT test. I stopped at a red light at a large intersection and when it turned green, I began to drive and promptly stalled. As the car had been unused for a few months since it’s purchase, I couldn’t get the car to start quick enough (as the battery was struggling). The lights turned red again and I was well over the line. Unable to reverse because of the person behind me and without having enough time to cross without it being dangerous, I stayed where I was. The junction was large enough that I wasn’t obstructing anyone, but I was still wayyyyy over the line. There were cameras at these lights unfortunately, but didn’t notice a flash.
Will I get a ticket? If so, do I have a leg to stand on when it comes to disputing it?
My only consolations are that I crossed the line while the light was green, was stationary when it turned red, did what I thought was safest given the circumstances and was on my way to my MOT to fix mechanical issues which potentially contributed to my stalling and inability to get it going again…
If you read this far, thanks!
