I feel nothing these days when I hear about the latest woman whos body has been desecrated and chopped up by her angry lover. I feel nothing. I am sick of us , our complaceny , I want so much more for us. Real justice and equality but fuck. I don't know how to get it when no one else cares enough to be angry.

I have SEVERE ptsd. I endured almost total amnesia(one 10 second flashback for 6 years before i recalled everything) for many years as i was brutally tortured twice in this lifetime and therefore peace of mind to me is rarer than unicorns so i use a vast array of drugs so that i dont self destruct or possibly just finally say fuck it and obliterate the people that tortured me and get a one way ticket to prison. SA too as if torture wasnt bad enough.
My main addictions are with stims, dissos, opioids, cannabinoids, tryptamines, gabaergics and whatever else helps stop the chronic distress.
Basically im either on a drug or coming down from a drug almost everyday for the last 6 years since i remembered everything in great detail. I never(excl weed) use the same drug for longer than 3 days in a row so as not to develop significant tolerance, side effects, withdrawal etc.
I was off drugs(excl weed) for 3 weeks but yesterday i relapsed on amps, opioids and alcohol and im currently in no mans land stuck between being high and coming down.
I hope this is the end of my foray with abusing stims and alcohol especially as i tend to get arrested, crash cars, ruin relationships, end up hospitalized, etc.
I attended rehab 10 years ago and they preached total abstinence.
My all time favourite drug induced state is on a combo of 2F-DCK and O-DSMT. I buy one gram of each once per month at the very most and snort the fuck outta them for three days straight and have a fucking amazing time just floating through life laughing at everything. Its total bliss for me. When i run out i use kratom at 5g's thrice daily for one week to alleviate the withdrawals from the O-DSMT as for me there significant.
I know im an addict that engages in escapism in an over the top way that a sane person would deem unhealthy.
So people tell me this. Can i continue to use my fave combo once per month or do i have to quit all drugs to get better?
Anybody else here abuse rc's and regular drugs to combat severe mental health issues? Anybody do a combo like that w/o it fucking up your life? One problem is i do feel somewhat close to relapsing on heroin after 12 years of abstinence as i can get pure afgan heroin number 4 thats uncut. Im even considering fent and zenes. I fear that O-DSMT will lead me back to that but i wonder and also just hope that i can maintain the self control to not do that.
Does a person like me just have to quit all drugs to live a healthy life or can i indulge without ruining my life?

This post aims to explore the hypothetical connection between Fearful-Avoidant attachment (FA) and the INFJ personality type. It is important to note that this connection is purely speculative and not supported by established correlations.
Furthermore, the FA attachment style is a terribly complex issue that should not be taken lightly. Initially when FA was identified, it was recommended that people with FA should not be in relationships at all. The harm they could cause to themselves and especially others was simply too much. It is only recently that there has been progress in ways in healing FA. As a consequence, it is now able to be fully healed through therapy.
The purpose of this post is to stimulate discussion and spread awareness of this problem. Oftentimes people who experience FA are aware of some of the effects it has, but not all. It is wise to know the full extent with which FA is affecting you so that you can move forward from a place of acceptance rather than confusion or worse, delusion.
If after reading this post you suspect that you might be someone with FA then it is very wise to seek professional help and other resources.
I will link a really in depth video in the comments below that obviously will be WAY more helpful in understanding every context, nuance and implication of the FA attachment style. I highly recommend watching it, because even though you think you already know what FA is, the style is so complicated that you will highly likely be surprised.

Emotional:

• Emotional sensitivity: INFJs tend to be very empathetic and sensitive to emotional clues. They also have a heightened awareness of others' feelings. Sometimes they might even be deeply affected by the emotions of others. This is a beautiful thing, but can also cause issues. Your sensitivity and empathy makes it so that you can very easily understand others and quickly feel involved. This can, in turn, make you highly attuned to potential rejection or abandonment. This fear of rejection or abandonment aligns with FA. Individuals with this attachment style can be extremely sensitive to signs of potential rejection or abandonment and can anticipate these outcomes even in relatively stable healthy relationships. Even when there is zero reason to suspect the other person would leave or reject them.
• Emotional volatility: INFJs are very emotional people. If they also have FA then they will very likely experience intense emotional highs and lows in relationships. On top of this, your emotions will likely feel very inconsistent which makes decision making very difficult. Say you crave intimacy but fear commitment, you follow your heart but lack strategy so your rational and emotional side are in constant conflict. Lastly, you ricochet between over and under taking responsibility. FA people often believe that the extent to which they feel bad MUST reflect the situation they are in, but this is not true. However, because they do not realise, they can act it out on others by insulting, gaslighting, pathologizing or manipulation. Obviously, these are things you should definitely try to avoid.
• Emotional depth: INFJs tend to experience emotions intensely and have a rich inner world. They are introspective people who often also take pride in their own self-awareness and understanding of emotions. In the context of FA, but I guess also with people in general, this can make someone appear delusional. Sometimes when people believe and want to believe in their own self-awareness so much, they reject the possibility that reality is different as a means to protect themselves. Furthermore, because INFJs feel so deeply and have no trouble analysing emotional contexts it can also make them feel afraid of showing vulnerability. In people with FA this is a lot more extreme. They will probably have a love-hate relationship with intimacy and desire close connections but also become anxious if it gets too close. When they feel threatened or overwhelmed by this closeness or vulnerability they will distance themselves.
• Tendency to self-sabotage: Something common with FA, but not necessarily INFJs, is that of self-sabotage. When someone who is FA fears intimacy or potential rejection so much, they can engage in self-sabotaging behaviours that create distance or lead to the end of (healthy) relationships. Eventually they will probably see that they are the common denominator but because they do not understand their own psychology they will blame themselves and thus will not feel deserving of a healthy relationship. This is an incredibly sad process. Especially also for someone who is genuinely good for them. Imagining the trajectory of the life of someone with FA, the struggles they will go through because they do not see clearly is terrible.

Idealistic:

• Disappointment: INFJs love thinking about the future and the ideal way to get to their envisioned future. As a consequence, they are the type of people to invest significant emotional energy into relationships. Obviously, when reality turns out different then you had hoped that will be a disappointment. Where someone with FA differs here is that they know this too, but instead of trying to make things work they hesitate to fully invest in relationships due to the potential negative outcomes. What if this or what if that. When idealistic expectations are not met it can further reinforce the belief that they need to take more care and invest less. That, paradoxically, amplifies their fears and avoidant behaviours.
• Disillusionment: As mentioned before INFJs love idealising and create idealized versions of relationships in their minds. They seek deep connections and intimacy where they can feel their idealism is being exercised. However, when faced with the realities of imperfections and conflicts, they can experience a sense of disillusionment. This, again, reinforces the fear and anxiety of individuals with FA.

Conflict Avoidant:

• Avoiding conflict: If you have spent any time with an INFJ you will know that they do not like conflict and probably will do their absolute best to resolve it when they can. Otherwise it will keep being a stressor. This is different from other personality types who after a certain point just stop caring about what an argument was even about. INFJs really seek harmony which means maintaining peace and avoiding confrontations. Interestingly, majority of INFJs seem to have had a childhood where a lot of conflict was present. I guess that creates further incentive for peace later on in life. Similarly, people with FA also fear conflict. The difference here is that for these people the fear controls a large part of their mind and actions. They fear that if they somehow cause any disturbance or conflict that the other person will reject them or get a negative reaction. For someone with FA this feels super intense and incredibly bad.
• Emotional withdrawal: Consequently, they will do everything to avoid confrontations or conflict. Even if that means giving up parts of themselves, holding back, closing up, etcetera. It does not matter if the other person would accept them no matter what and says this too. For them it is a way to protect themselves when they feel overwhelmed or afraid. In essence we all do this but not to the extent of someone who is FA. They might close off entirely (0 emotion) to shield themselves from potential emotional pain or rejection even if there is absolutely no reason for that. The only way for someone with FA to realise this fully is through therapy.

Strong Intuition:

• Deep Understanding of Others: Previously it was mentioned that INFJs possess a natural ability to perceive and understand the emotions and motivations of others. They are skilled at identifying hidden meanings and underlying patterns in human behaviour. They have a strong intuition. This is a great thing and can also be quite attractive (maybe I am biased). The difference here between an INFJ that has secure attachment and one that has FA is that the FA is not able to understand a lot of emotions and motivations of a secure person. They understand people who have unhealthy attachment styles, but not secure people. Take the idea of unconditional love for example. They understand what the concept is, I mean anyone can google a definition, but they do not know what it effectively looks like or is supposed to feel like.
• The problem: The issue with this is that people with FA think they do understand everyone. They pick up on subtle clues, sense potential threats and dangers, but fail to realise that some things are just false flags. Maybe they are quirks, maybe they misspoke, maybe they misjudged or maybe it just was not their day. However, when someone who is secure tries to argue that it was a false flag, it can very much be an indication for the FA person that they are trying to be manipulative. Essentially, people with FA are not always aware of ‘reality’. Obviously you can see how this is a shitty situation to be in.

Self-sacrificing Nature:

• Struggles with Boundaries: Judging by the amount of posts asking how to establish healthy boundaries it is apparent how much of an issue this is for INFJs. They find it challenging to establish and maintain personal boundaries due to their empathetic nature and desire to help others. Find it difficult to say no and do you to get in situations that make you feel uncomfortable? This is why. They willingly put the needs of others over their own. This can obviously lead to exhaustion or feeling overwhelmed.
• What about FA: Similarly, individuals with FA can struggle with setting healthy boundaries, oscillating between a fear of closeness and a desire for connection. Furthermore, they have incredible difficulty expressing their needs and emotions. Some do not express it when asked even if it is their partner. The combination of these two issues makes it so that people with FA tend to neglect their own needs to prevent potential rejection, abandonment or being judged. In some cases the person with FA might even blame someone else for this, for them feeling this way. Obviously, this is incredibly unfair and destructive.

Private/Reserved:

• Inner World: INFJs in general are very reserved. They keep to themselves including their inner thoughts and emotions. It is a very complex and profound inner world, which I am guessing (I am ENTP, I do not know everything) is the reason why they do not want to share it with everyone. It just probably feels a little too special. This makes sense. However, in people with FA there is more to it. These INFJs also have a rich inner world except the reason they do not share is a lot more complicated. They fear vulnerability, showing your inner world, showing you, that is a vulnerable thing to do. As a consequence, they have a tendency to keep emotional distance from others to protect themselves from potential pain or rejection. FAs can make you feel like you know a lot about them, but ultimately when they do not allow you to enter their world every now and then, then how well do you actually know them? Besides, they want other people to be vulnerable before the other person, that way the scales remain in their favor and the vulnerability scale does not go haywire. Again here, the only way as a FA person to healthily open up is with the help of therapy.
• Overthinking and Analysing: Besides a rich inner world INFJs also have a tendency to overanalyse situations and be in their heads for long periods of time. Specifically in terms of relationships and for a FA this can cause further issues. Relationships require trust and that is notoriously difficult for people with FA. If you combine that with a fear of uncertainty and anxiety it can cause the FA to overthink and overanalyse every single detail. This consumes their life. Asa result they stress themselves out so much that they might want to end things. Then when the feelings calm down again they might change their mind again. A cycle of push and pull and emotional highs and lows. For both sides of the relationship this is obviously terrible.

Perfectionistic:

• Self-Criticism: INFJs are very perfectionistic people. They are very critical of themselves and so hold themselves and others to a very high standard. In itself this is not a bad thing. However, in the context of FA, this perfectionism can amplify the fear of rejection, as they may feel inadequate or flawed and fear that others will discover these perceived imperfections. Again, here it sometimes does not matter whatever the partner says or does, it might very well be impossible to convince a FA otherwise. Then again, even if you tried they would likely find it too much. They believe they do not deserve all of the support and love at times. So it can be a really difficult time being in a relationship. Lastly, it can also go the other way. The person with FA might actually believe that because they feel so bad, repulsed, disgusted or other by the partner as a consequence of FA as well, the partner must be the reason for those feelings. However, that is often not the reality. What happens is that the FA got triggered somehow by something, often as a trauma response, and they project that onto the other person. Someone who is secure is able to recognise these things, someone with FA more often than not cannot, which is why these issues happen in the first place.

If you have made it to the end of this post then it probably means you felt it resonated with you. If that is the case then you need to know all of these things are not your fault. You are not a broken person who cannot be healed. You have had an unfortunate childhood with traumatic events that have molded you in who you are today. The fact that you have come this far with all those things means that you are strong and you are brave.
Realise that it is not your fault, but also that you can do something about it. The past is the past which you can only accept, but the future is yours to determine. Therapy will be able to help you in ways that you never even dreamed of. You will be able to have a secure attachment and for FA to not have an influence over you ever again. Good luck.

Recently Reddit has announced changes to their API which, if enacted, will shut down many, if not all, 3rd party apps that a large number of Redditors use to access and enjoy their favorite communities.
Critically, this also completely guts access to Reddit for visually impaired people as screen readers are 3rd party apps.
One of the most critical changes to the API is that it is moving from a free to a paid model, resulting in expenses that developers of 3rd party apps simply cannot afford. To put the price change in to context, Apollo, one of the most popular 3rd party apps for Reddit, is looking at a cost of US$1.7 million per month to continue operating. That's a cost of US$12,000 per 50 million API requests. In contrast, Apollo pays Imgur US$166 for every 50 million API calls.
This means popular apps like Apollo, Reddit Is Fun, Narwhal and many more will have to shut down, permanently.
Even if you're not using a 3rd party app yourself, these changes are likely to impact the communities you enjoy as well, with the vast majority of moderation teams relying on 3rd party or self-made tools, that utilize Reddit's API.
Additionally, if you are a member of a community that uses bots - those will also cease to function.
And on top of all that, it paints a bleak picture of what is to come for those of us who use other tools, like Reddit Enhancement Suite and old.reddit.com.
Here's a little TLDR on why this is important.
So what are we planning?
On June 12th, we and a growing number of other subs - large and small - will go dark. During that time, you will not be able to view or post any content on BravoRealHousewives. BravoRealHousewives will go dark on 00:00 EST June 12th.
This action isn't something we take lightly.
We understand that Reddit is a company that has to make money in order to offer us a place to be the community that we are - but killing 3rd party apps is not the way to do it.
We are not asking Reddit to provide a paid service for free - we are asking for reasonable pricing for apps that people have come to love and depend on to participate in their communities.
We can't tell you that the blackout will solve the problem, because we simply don't know. But we have to try.
What you can do to support this
While subs going dark is one thing, regular users can help as well.
Reach out to Reddit via the channels available to you: Modmail reddit, comment in relevant posts regarding the API changes, submit your comments via the contact forms.
Spread the word about the changes and the consequences where you can. It doesn't have to be on Reddit. The important thing is getting it attention!
Participate in the communities that highlight this issue: Save3rdPartyApps, apolloapp, redditisfun, getnarwhal
And finally stay off Reddit completely from June 12th to 14th. The blackout is one thing, but users staying away from the site entirely will send an equally important message.
But please don't forget: Be civil. As frustrating as this is, being toxic or aggressive is not the way to go. Remember the human on the other side of the screen.

I got a call last night from a sister in the congregation I belonged to a few years back. This is one of those overly zealous, very indoctrinated, outspoken older sister in her 60’s. She called me to confirm about the passing of my niece. This sister used to study with her, and was close to her at one point. After talking about that she went on a rant …complaining about her elders, the brothers, and how the CO is visiting and she told him how bad things were in the congregation. Still…she feels that Jehovah will fix things eventually. (sound familiar?)
Then she asked how I was doing. Then she asked if I was going to the meetings. I said “no”. She got all emotional about it… why not? This is the truth! You know it is…you were an elder at one point…yada, yada. ( I was a pioneer and very "zealous" when we used to be in same congregation)
She asked why I wasn’t attending meetings. I said that I’d rather not talk about it. She insisted...”did you cheat on your wife? Did someone stumble you? “
I said, well sister, if I tell you the reason… I could be labeled as one causing division. The elders (where my publisher card is now) have already threatened with a judicial committee; what I have done is ask questions that cannot be answered…I looked, I asked…nothing. They basically don’t want me to ask. And it is only elders I have shared this with. “
Then she asked…are you an apostate?
I stayed quiet.
I didn’t know how to respond. I AM an apostate, from their perspective. Then she asked…”are you labeled as an apostate by the congregation?” I said no.
I went on to share how the recent Splane video shows how we should not even listen to apostates. She said...”that’s right!”.
Then I said... but the bible says that we should not respond to a matter before we listen to it; how can we shut people down and not hear what they have to say?
"During Covid.... I did some research. what I found out about the organization, its history, its current policies....is enough to make your blood curdle.
I didn’t go any further. She was very nice and told me that I could always talk to her about anything.
Bottom line, I am on the elders radar and they are currently building a case against me for "causing division". I believe I have a strong defense. I was an elder for 20 years and I have their elder book. We all do. I have not been an open activist (aka apostate…causing divisions). In fact, I plan to use this sister as a witness if needed. I did not try to convince her of anything. I only shared my concerns and how my questions have gone unanswered.

I'd never really thought about this comparison before but I saw a comment recently that pointed out the two, conceptually speaking, actually do have a lot in common.
Both, at the time of their original stories, were brand new villains for Batman to face. The new hotness that's come to Gotham to f**k up his day, with a big part of the plot being the mystery of who The Phantasm/Hush is, with the reveal being...the only other new and significant character introduced for the story. Both Andrea and Tommy are retconned into Bruce's past and made very important to him (one being the woman he loved, the other his childhood best friend), with said past being shown to us in flashbacks throughout the story. And both serve as a dark reflection of Bruce himself.
With these similarities, why is it that I find one works way more for me than the other? Especially when I grew up with both these stories.
I'm definitely a bit in the minority here but I've never really gotten the hype over Hush. That's not to say I don't like the Hush story, just that Hush/Tommy Elliot specifically is just kind of...okay to me at best. Not bad but not one of Batman's villains I feel a strong attachment to or feel a lot of excitement over when he's going to be in something. I never feel the same as others when they say they want Hush as the villain for a movie or that he should have been the main villain of Arkham Knight. I could certainly believe a good writer could get something good out of his concepts, but as he is, as he was in the original Hush story, the story most people know him from and that put him on the map, he's just...okay.
But then there's Andrea, and while I don't think she really needed to appear in other stories after Mask of the Phantasm, since like Tommy it feels like a case of diminishing returns, I do still find myself a lot more attached to that character and feel like she was very well done despite conceptually being so similar to Tommy. With Hush I don't want him to be in anything more after his initial story because I didn't really care that much about the character, whereas with The Phantasm I didn't want her to be in anything after her initial story because I didn't want them to ruin what I felt like was already done near perfectly and wrapped up.
I think the difference comes down to two big things: Framing within the story, and characterization.
Both stories center around the mystery "Who is The Phantasm/Hush?", but the execution of both mysteries, the pay-off to them, and Andrea and Tommy's place within those narratives is handled very differently.
Hush, in my opinion, is interesting almost solely because of the mystery around who he is and how he manipulates events and Batman's villains to strike at him. When we get the reveal that he's Tommy, not much is added that replaces the mystery in order to keep him interesting.
Why did he do all of this? Because he resents Bruce for being able to inherit all of his parent's wealth as a child while his own attempt to gain the same was foiled by Bruce's father saving his mother's life after Tommy deliberately tried to get his parents killed. In regards to making Tommy a dark, twisted reflection of Bruce, this does work. While Bruce loved his parents, was deeply scarred by their deaths, and he'd have given up that entire fortune and more just to have them back, Tommy was willing to kill his just to get his hands on their money and hated his mother for surviving. But as the big conclusion to this big story spanning most of Batman's rogues gallery and all the manipulations and planning and gaslighting the villain had done, this motivation feels too...mundane. It's too petty.
Don't get me wrong, pettiness does not make for a bad villain motivation in the right context. My favorite supervillain of all time is Lex Luthor and half that man's plans are fueled by pure spite for Superman for daring to make him look bad by being a good person. But for all the build-up and everything that was involved this answer just doesn't feel satisfying. Even things like Tommy's mother always comparing him to Bruce or Tommy creating a new face to look like Bruce to steal his identity and fortune wasn't a thing until later stories. In the original Hush story, Tommy is purely just after revenge on Bruce for getting inherited wealth as a child while he had to wait until he was an adult.
This isn't helped by how little we really get to know Thomas Elliot and Bruce's attachment to him before the reveal.
I think one of the things that works best about Batman: Hush, more than the mystery around who Hush is, is that the whole storyline feels like a semi-celebration of Batman and a love letter to the character. It showcases a lot of his big name villains, shows Batman's connections to his allies, from the Bat family to Huntress to Gordon to Superman, marks the start of what, in my opinion, made Catwoman a genuine contender for being Batman's best romantic relationship rather than just another love interest, goes into Batman's history, from Jason Todd to Harold and even his childhood before his parents were killed, and all while throughout we're getting the narration boxes of Bruce's inner thoughts, going in on what he thinks of himself and everyone around him. It's one of those stories where if someone wanted to get into Batman comics for the first time or needed an introduction to the character (weird as it is to think that when the character is everywhere these days), Batman: Hush would be one of the ones I'd point out.
The story has a lot going for it...and Thomas Elliot gets lost in it all. We get to somewhat know what he was like as a kid, so much of which doesn't apply to him as an adult in the present because so much time has passed since then, and what we do get to know of him as an adult gets put into question once we find out he's Hush since he more than likely was putting on an act every time he interacted with Bruce. We don't even get that much interaction between him and Batman after the reveal of his identity is made in order to get to know the real him, nor does he even take off his bandage mask to fully confirm it's Tommy. He gets shot by Harvey Dent, falls from a great height, and then f**ks off until he can be brought back in an eventual sequel.
This is part of why I wasn't really that upset when the animated movie adaptation of the story had The Riddler be Hush instead of Tommy, who basically was the real mastermind behind everything anyway in the original and was the more impactful twist. He's the one who figured out Batman was Bruce Wayne, being the one to present that information to Tommy, and was the one who got all the villains to cooperate with the plan. Most important of all, I have a feel for who the Riddler is. But Tommy? He's...smart. Apparently. And petty....apparently. What is Tommy's actual character beyond "guy who wanted his parent's money"?
Let's compare all of this to The Phantasm and Andrea Beaumont.
Like with Hush, the main mystery Mask of the Phantasm centers around is "Who is the Phantasm?" but the scale is more simple. The Phantasm isn't after Batman but rather is knocking off members of the Valestra crime family and, intentionally or otherwise, is getting Batman framed for the murders.
Like with the flashbacks to Bruce and Tommy's past with each other, we get flashbacks of Bruce and Andrea's own past together. However, not only was it a past relatively more recent, and thus we get a better feel for who Andrea is since she's already an adult in the flashbacks, but the flashbacks are more central to the movie's plot and don't have a million other more memorable or iconic bits happening around them to take the attention away, in part because these flashbacks show us Bruce's own history with the Valestra mob. The flashbacks with Tommy often didn't have a lot of relevance to the mystery around Hush or what he was doing beyond the fact that they involved Tommy It was mostly Bruce reminiscing about his childhood. While the flashbacks with Andrea also served to give insight on the people the Phantasm is targeting and why someone would want them dead, Andrea especially. Even the Joker, who is brought into the movie to help spice up the climax, used to be a hit man for the Valestras, and in fact was the one who was sent to murder Andrea's father. He ties into the main plot of the mystery while all the rogues used in Hush were mostly there to just wear Batman down or throw him off Tommy and Riddler's trail.
We also get Andrea and Bruce interacting in the present, greatly aided by her quickly figuring out that he's Batman and the two being able to speak frankly to each other, and interacting after he figures out she's the Phantasm. And when we get the reveal that she's the Phantasm, her personality doesn't really change that much, meaning that while she was hiding the truth from Bruce she wasn't putting on a complete front. Unlike Tommy, who we honestly aren't sure if we know anything real about, we feel we understand Andrea quite well. While what we saw of Tommy prior to the reveal helped cover up that he was Hush, what we saw of Andrea had it make even more sense that she was the Phantasm after the reveal is made.
Why is Andrea doing all this? She wants revenge on the Valestra mob for forcing her to flee Gotham, keeping her from marrying the man she loved, killing her father, and basically ruining her life. It's a very simple motivation but the build-up to it is more appropriate given the size and scale of the story and thus that simplicity doesn't feel like a big let-down. And even more so, it makes her a good dark and twisted reflection of Bruce. A normal life upended by crime and corruption unchecked, Andrea took on a terrifying alternate identity to bring justice in a way no one else could/no one else would, but along the way became consumed by the same need for vengeance that Bruce has always had to keep himself from falling into, to the point there's nothing else for her. A sympathetic motivation isn't inherently better than a petty one for a villain. It depends on its context and how it's executed. And Andrea's sympathetic motivation works here because of the parallels with Bruce and how much of a tragedy it's written as. Bruce almost never became Batman because he was so unexpected happy being with Andrea, but the crime Batman was intended to fight against tore him and her away from each other, destroying both of their lives yet again, and ended up corrupting the woman he had loved so much, turning her basically into...well...him.
TL;DR: Despite their similarities and how obvious their mysteries are when you think about them even a little, Andrea Beaumont as The Phantasm works better for me than Thomas Elliot did as Hush for the following reasons:

• We get to know the real Andrea better than we do the real Tommy, both before and after the reveals are made.
• Andrea's motivations feel more appropriate to the story being told with her than Tommy's were.
• Andrea being a dark, twisted reflection of Bruce ties in better to the story thematically than Tommy being a dark, twisted reflection did.
• Both the Phantasm and Hush start off cool and interesting because of how mysterious they are. The more of Phantasm's mystery is revealed, we get enough backstory and characterization to replace it to still keep us invested. The more of Hush's mystery is revealed, the less interesting he becomes because there's so little to take its place.

I wanna know why I didn't really feel anything. Was our relationship not close enough? Did I not realize yet that he is really dead and I won't see him again?
It can't be the fact that I'm not emotional at all, because I do have to cry when a character in a film dies for example.
I just feel extremely guilty, because I SHOULD feel sad. Someone of my family died. How can I not be sad?? I don't understand. It also feels like I'm alone with this problem. Like I'm the only weird human being feeling like that. Because everyone I know isn't like that. At least I wouldn't know if they are

First things first, it’s not just you.
Because the reasons why many relationships today are very fragile and don’t last long or do last long but turn toxic or very unenjoyable after a few years are as follows:

1. It’s easier to start a rebound relationship than to genuinely work on and improve oneself. Because of this, many people suck at working through their past emotional baggage and aren’t fully aware of how that baggage greatly influences the quality of their relationships and the kind of people they attract. 2. People greatly underestimate how much working through this baggage and letting go of/healing it will lead to transformation and drastically improve their life and relationships. 3. Many people want the honeymoon phase (which fades at the 4-6 month mark) to last forever without having to build it and without having to put in the work to sustain it with their partner. 4. Because they don’t want to put in this work (or never learned how to do so) most, if not all of their relationships are very fragile and end in less than a year. 5. The world isn’t ready for true love as it works in real life. It really isn’t. Because right now we are in a time period in human evolution where people are just now slowly learning the significant differences between love and attachment. Of the negative effects of the bad social conditioning that went on for centuries. That certain old outdated values and ideas about love and relationships are no longer viable and never worked well in the first place. 6. Many people believe that love is something that’s found and just falls into our lap. When in reality, true love is something that arises out of mutual respect and something that’s build and sustained. You don’t randomly stumble upon it like how you would find a 50 dollar bill on the ground.

Dear Ryan,
In this former analyst’s humble opinion, you are failing mightily at GameStop and it's costing average investors major money.
Do better. Way better. This is painful to watch. You have a handpicked board of directors — mostly comprised of people you worked with at Chewy. At Chewy, you created an online retailer that millions of people love. Yet, the magic you found there hasn't fixed GameStop. Some would say the business has gotten worse!
First quarter 2023 sales: down 10.3% year over year. First quarter 2023 net loss: $50.5 million versus a net loss of $157.9 million a year ago.
In 2022 and 2021 combined, GameStop lost $694.4 million according to your latest annual report. You failed at picking a management team and developing them based on the turnover under your kingdomship.
For all his miscues, how couldn't a former Amazon exec in Matt Furlong find some form of success at GameStop? One good quarter maybe? The CFO you picked was canned in July 2022 after about a year on the job.
While I am at it, why isn’t there any list of C-suite executives on the GameStop investor page? Showing these bios are standard practice for public companies.
All of that's on you as a leader, Ryan.
The company remains structurally challenged because of increasing digital game downloads. You still have more than 4,000 retail stores open globally despite more people buying goods and services online. Your push into NFTs failed. Your move to open more fulfillment centers has arguably failed due to top line pressures that aren't going away.
Sales of collectibles — a key focus area by management — plunged 22% in the first quarter.
There is still no reason for the non-gamer to enter a GameStop store. That's a problem, in my view.
Of course, I have not created a huge business like you did at Chewy. Nor have I sold a large business to another company like you did when selling Chewy to Petsmart in 2017. I also haven't taken a company public, as Chewy went in 2019.
I commend you on putting in the late nights to make these things happen. I am a fan of heart and hustle stories.
I also don't have the vast wealth — which you earned through Chewy! — available to me, and that means I am unable to overthrow a public company's board of directors and treat a company like a personal playground. Which is what has happened at GameStop, in my view.
This bank account means you have more influence in public markets than I do, and could push around your weight. And have. Your past moves in Bed Bath & Beyond and Nordstrom — and bizarre tweets — show you are willing to put your money where your mouth is to make a point.
It's your money, and you may choose to do with it as you see fit. We live in a capitalistic system, after all.
But you are failing GameStop.
And perhaps your biggest failure is the lack of communication to the average investor community.
A series of 8-minute-long earnings calls the past two years led by Furlong, with no Q&A? Are you kidding?
Not a single investor-focused event detailing your grand plan?
I get being cryptic for competitive reasons, but you are a public company executive. Investors deserve to know about the vision for a company controlled by you personally and your handpicked board.
The average investor has placed a ton of faith in you, Ryan. They have spent hours upon hours reviewing GameStop's financials, supporting you on social media, and the comment sections on Yahoo Finance, among other places.
It's time you show them the respect they deserve. The Ryan Cohen we talked with at Yahoo Finance in 2019 seemed to be someone that would at least entertain the thought of caring about the average guy. Be that Ryan Cohen again. Investors deserve it… and have earned it by supporting you blindly for two plus years.
