Describe the purpose :
Merhaba!
I am Taha Can Sarı and I’m writing on behalf of the DeFiChain Team from Turkey. We all are invested in DFI for more than 1 year. While there was no CFP, we tried to move the DFI Turkey community forward as much as we could. With this CFP, we aim to grow the DFI Turkey community even more.
Our goal is to explain DeFiChain in the best way possible to Turkish-speaking people and teach them the excellence of the DeFiChain ecosystem.
Who are we?
DeFiChain Turkey Team
What have we done so far?
Since July 2022 we have been preparing DeFiChain related content for DeFiChain Turkey website. We are preparing unique blog posts on topics like MN, liquidity mining, weekly updates, MetaChain, as well as translating content, that is being posted in the English blog.
defichaintr.com (Design Update Coming Soon)
We have published nearly 20 articles so far and we continue to increase them rapidly. We are actively publicising these articles on the DeFiChain Turkey Telegram Announcement channel and are receiving very positive feedback from the Turkish community.
![img](un9c5qg1105b1 " 1 DeFiChain Turkey Community
")
We also actively manage DeFiChain Turkey Twitter account. Here, we both address DFI investors and explain DeFiChain to potential people who will be new investors in DFI.

DeFiChain Twitter
We also manage a YouTube channel for the DeFiChain Turkey Community. Here we produce video content for both potential new investors and educational content for the existing DeFiChain community.

Every Friday, Betül and I (Taha) are hosting DeFiChain News Turkey to discuss the latest developments in the space and keep our Turkish community informed.

We also manage the Instagram account of DeFiChain Turkey Community. Here we produce content for potential new investors in DeFiChain to the audience interested in cryptocurrency. Short videos are the best content of recent times, so we know that we can reach more audiences over time.

All links to the Turkey community : https://linktr.ee/defichaintr
We held our first AMA recently. We will continue to expand the DFI Turkey Community by making appearances in more communities in this way. Furthermore, we are already in contact with many Turkish communities and are in the planing stage of our next AMA’s.
https://preview.redd.it/6kb5g87i105b1.png?width=975&format=png&auto=webp&s=7fd84e00b5774c7849ab806111ffff24f73ade1e
As DeFiChain Turkey team, we want to be the first point of contact for the Turkish community. Our plans to achieve this are as follows
• Telegram 1k+ members • Twitter 1k+ followers • Instagram 1k+ followers • YouTube 1k+ subscribers • Website, better SEO and more traffic
We believe that our work adds value to the overall DeFiChain community by providing understandable, ready-to-use resources for everyone, enabling new investors to join the DFI ecosystem, and increasing the decentralisation of the project.
As many of you will know, the more investors we reach, the higher the value of DeFiChain will be. The higher the value of DeFiChain, the higher the price, which will benefit the community the most.
We believe that you will support us and contribute to our projects as a community. <3
Summary of our current stats: • Telegram 469 members • Twitter 195 followers • Instagram 69 followers • YouTube 87 subscribers • Website: 21 unique blog posts
How will the fund be spent?
To grow a community, you need to create great content, and it takes time to create that content. Everything we've done so far has been paid for by our own budget.
We are asking for community support to cover the maintenance expenses for all the platforms we have created for DeFiChain Turkey and to reward the time we spend on the content we produce.
We are asking for 45000 DFI because we believe it will be a good boost in our efforts to grow the Turkish community.
20000 DFI will be used to set up a masternode. The rewards will be spent to sustain general expenses. Another benefit of creating a masternode, is that we will be able to deliver the first up-to-date step-by-step guide in Turkish on how to create a masternode, freeze the funds and cast a vote on the upcoming DeFiChain DFIP/CFP voting rounds through on-chain governance.
20000 DFI will be spent over time on community expansion in form of AMA’s, collaborations and local partnerships.
5000 DFI will be shared within the team as a reward for their time and efforts for DeFiChain.
We are a highly motivated team, that has a great chance to move the Turkish community to the top regionally.
How does this CFP benefit the DeFiChain?
Turkey is a gigantic market for Cryptocurrency, and we think DFI is underrepresented in Turkey. By enabling us to create content in the Turkish language, we will be able to remove the language barrier and build bridges to the already existing huge crypto community in Turkey. At the time of this CFP presentation, we managed to grow our telegram community to 465 members. With the support of the international DeFiChain community and the backing of the masternode owners, we believe that we will grow the Turkish community significantly.

2023.06.09 16:13 kirilale DataAnalyst.com - I launched a niche job board with hand curated data analyst jobs. Here's the summary of how it's going after the fifth month

Hi all,
on Dec 19th I launched DataAnalyst.com - this is the fifth (May) update of hopefully many more to come.
Want to make sure I document the journey, and keep myself honest, so each month I will be making a post about the statistics, progress, some thoughts and what are the next steps I want to be focusing on.
While the main purpose for the post is to bring everyone along on the journey, I do think that members of SideProject might benefit from the site, especially those looking to start their first online project.
If it's not something that belong here, have absolutely no issues to take the post down and / or keep the updates to a different subreddit.
So, just a reminder that early stages vision is to become the #1 job board for data analysts - hand-picking interesting data analyst job opportunities across industries.
Let's dive right in:

1. General Observations

Stats

DataAnalyst.com has been online for just over 5 months and we've brought over 1,250 hand curated data analyst jobs onto the site - all of them including a salary range.
There's now 1,200+ people subscribed to the newsletter, and I can't thank you enough for your support and for joining us on the journey.
While in April the site grew to just over 5,000 monthly visitors across 26,000 pageviews, in May we've been able to cross the 5,000 visitors yet again, with over 28,000 pageviews - not only that, we registered approximately 4,500 data analyst applications being started from the site!
Additionally, I've also had multiple people reaching out, both in comment section of my previous updates, but also in DMs, sharing that they have found the site to be extremely useful in their job search, and that they were able to get interviews and onboard new roles through the site - I absolutely love this, and even if the venture doesn't end up being commercially successful, I'm super happy to hear that it has indeed helped people when needed.
Google impressions are over 50% up, albeit the amount of people clicking through to the site remained flat.
On the positive note - the site has finally ranking for all the major target keywords:
"data analyst jobs / data analyst job / data analyst / data analytics jobs"
Pumped about this, as having multiple channels is crucial to long term growth and protecting the site and traffic from algorithm updates.

Things that happened

a) Expired Listings - There's feedback regarding some of the jobs on the site already expiring and leading to non-existing listings. I am trying to come up with a solution where visitors would be able to upvote/downvote and thus highlighting status for everyone else. For now, I went through job listings and marked those roles no longer open as "Expired".
b) Product Hunt launch - Early last month I decided to share DataAnalyst on Product Hunt. The idea wasn't necessarily to try and rank up to the top, but mainly get the site out there, and gain a backlink from ProduntHunt that's going to help the site's authority. Overall the voting process is extremely cumbersome, but we did end up with 36 upvotes which was more than I expected.

Expecting a summer slump

With summer, there's typically very little hiring happening / it's extremely slow as people are taking well deserved time off. I'm expecting activity on the site to decrease, and my main goal for this period is getting together a plan of action to start reaching out to companies in Q4 and Q1, educate them about the site, the value proposition and hopefully get a few partnerships on the books.
What that will look like, I honestly have no idea, but experiment, iterate and go again.
Some of you may have noticed that I've also recently launched BusinessAnalyst.com - where I'm looking to replicate step by step what I've done over the last 5 months with DataAnalyst. The overall idea is to create a network of sites, benefiting from the same infastructure, serving and helping different career paths, and making a collaboration with organisations much more appealing (afterall, most companies who hire for data analysts also look for business analysts and vice versa). Arguably, this might not make much sense seeing that DA still hasn't brought any revenue in, but on the other hand, I can reuse the whole tech stack and structures already in place, halve my cost per project, while doubling the surface area to catch me some luck. Anyways, how this will work out is a case study for another time.

2. The Salary Guide

On a monthly basis, we've been utilising the data available to developing and sharing Market Insights - a deep dive into the data analyst job market, where we can have a look at the job openings and provide you all with insights on the latest hiring trends in the United States.
With these insights I'm trying to bring answers to questions such as: Which industries are hiring the most? Are we seeing any salary increases? And what about the remote working trend?
With that in mind, I'm excited to share that the first five months of insights were consolidated, and the Salary Guide has now been published.
The data analyst salary guide provides the overview of salaries in various industries - and now also shows a more detailed view on each industry page, with a deep dive into how much entry level, senior and lead data analysts can earn depending on their experience.
This is only based on job opportunities on the site, and no external data sources are utilised. The plan is to have it updated quarterly, with the next update in September.
For the US, we've also released the May edition of Market Insights, you can see the full report here.

3. "Day in the Life" - a series of interviews with data analysts sharing their experience, thoughts and advice.

The third interview from our series has been published. In these interviews, we aim to share stories and experiences about the route to becoming a data analyst, keeping up with the skillset, recommendations to aspiring data analysts and much more.
Tisha, who is a data analyst at Tesla, has shared some fantastic insights, and I'd love to highlight couple of my favourite quotes from the interview.
On what she loves about being a data analyst:
"For me, the most exciting aspect of being a data analyst is the opportunity to unlock meaningful insights from vast amounts of data. I enjoy the challenge of uncovering patterns, identifying trends, and translating complex data into actionable recommendations. The ability to make a tangible impact on business outcomes and help organizations drive growth is incredibly rewarding."
On her advice for those aspiring to enter the industry, she shares 6 points that everyone should focus on:
  1. Acquire a strong foundation in SQL. This is an essential tool for data analysis and manipulation.
  2. Familiarize yourself with data analytics tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Alteryx. Demonstrating proficiency in these tools can enhance your employability.
  3. Seek out internships, projects, or volunteer opportunities where you can gain hands-on experience with real-world datasets and analytical challenges.
  4. Continuously enhance your skills by staying updated with the latest trends and best practices in the field. Online courses, webinars, and industry conferences can be valuable resources.
  5. Showcase your skills and projects through a portfolio or personal website. This allows potential employers to see your capabilities and the impact you can make.
  6. Network with professionals in the data industry through events, online communities, and LinkedIn. Building connections can lead to valuable opportunities and mentorship.
We've also touched upon the Question of the Year: Is AI/Chat GPT a threat to data analysts?
Highly recommend reading the full interview.

2023.06.09 16:09 EternallyTidus A Fate Written Before Time - FF8 VW Ultima Weapon cap team - Dark element

Hello everyone :)
I finally managed to cap today myself and thought I'd share my setup. Upfront: I had been toying around with other ideas but finally went with the one u/Chipofthehead69 used which was based on one u/Resnaught shared. I never looked at any videos though so I'm not sure how similar my setup really is :)
I do not have the World Ender VC, am using 2x Sweet Friendship VCs though. If you do not have said VCs the team can still work but you'll have to adapt (-> chain Olive's SLB with Esther's LB on the kill turn; Rinoa's damage will suffer quite a bit though). The World Ender VC makes this a whole lot easier.

Team gear:
https://imgur.com/a/sqxKldn
Ilmatalle - passive provoke + evade, a source of Nethicite, paralysis resistance; doesn't really matter how you achieve that, it's easy. EX level doesn't matter either.
Ibara - base form needs some help with MP as she will be using Bardarkja A LOT. BS form is just pure LB damage against machines. Mine is EX+2 (lvl 130).
Esther - now here's a build I never thought I'd share. Let me explain: Her base form is built to squeeze out the last bit of damage I could find. She did ~50 million which is... something (especially when you miss the cap by 32 million :> ). Her BS form is built specifically to have enough Spr to manage the incoming damage (my setup takes a little over 4k damage total). Both forms have at least 100% earth resistance.
Rinoa - base form Zidane's STMR + full LB fill (12 stones + as much LB fill rate as you can). BS form full magic damage against machines with Diabolos equipped. Mine is EX+1, her mag stat doesn't reflect properly on the builder (it's 1.5k too high, maybe counting the weapons twice?).
Dark Rain - laziest unit in this team. Full LB damage against machines.
Olive - full magic damage against machines.
While equipping for damage, the order of importance is Ibara > Rain > Rinoa > Olive.

Turn by turn:

Turn Ibara Rain Ilmatalle Rinoa Esther Olive Boss actions Seals needed
1 3x Bardarkja Guard Power to Destroy Nethicite I wanted to go with you! (Start in BS) Electromagnetic Shield + Storm Guardian + Energizing Bunny Brilliant Splash AoE Gravity (seal/reflect); 2x AoE Phys; 1x Fixed AoE Magic damage 1
2 3x Bardarkja Guard Power to Destroy Nethicite Singing Base LB Brilliant Splash AoE Gravity (seal/reflect); 1x AoE earth magic (reflect); 1x AoE Phys; 1x ST Phys 1
3 3x BS chain 3x BS chain Power to Destroy Nethicite Singing 3x BS chain (in base form) Whipped Cream Garden 2x ST Phys; 1x AoE non-elem Mag (seal), dispel (seal) 2 (or 1 and get dispelled)
4 Bardarkja + Wish of Vengeance + Endarkga (after Rinoa) Guard Power to Destroy Nethicite Base LB BS LB Guard AoE Gravity (seal/reflect); 1x AoE earth magic (reflect); 1x AoE Phys; 1x Fixed AoE Magic damage 1
5 Base LB One and Only Ruler Power to Destroy Nethicite Summon Diabolos Power to Destroy Nethicite SLB AoE Gravity (seal/reflect); 1x AoE Phys; 2x ST Phys; 1x AoE non-elem Mag (seal) 2
6 Bardarkja + Anun + Tsukiyo Elemental Burst - Dark + 2x Magic Boost+ 2x Machina Rune II (Olive + Rinoa) BS LB Power to Destroy Nethicite Breaks + killers + Fire Cannon Fire AoE Gravity (seal/reflect); 2x AoE Phys; 1x Fixed AoE Magic damage 1
7 BS LB SLB 2x Machina Rune II (Ibara + Rain) 4x Apocalypse Whipped Cream Garden Whipped Cream Garden
I hope that's readable when I'm done...
Three specific things I want to mention:
I willingly take the dispel on turn 3. I don't have anything up at that point that I need and it removes the earth imperil, making Esther's build easier.
I did all of this without macros. Turn 3 is my 100 chain turn, it's 3x triple BS + 1x quad BS, I never failed that. BS chains still the single best thing Gumi ever brought to the game. And as for timing Rinoa's Apocalypses: Count to four while she casts/flashes, then back down from 5 in the same rhythm (so 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1 - 0). Send Olive/Esther at 0, then Rain/Ibara right after. That way Rinoa's first hit lands around ~20 hits on the chain and the last one right at the end. It took me two or three tries to figure out the timing and it was pretty easy from there.
This does rely on variance. It took me exactly 20 tries to get a 18.47b roll (18.03b needed). Before that, I did have a 17.99b roll, too. So there is some leeway in the damage requirements but not a lot and any worse builds than the featured ones mean you'll need more luck.

If anyone has any questions on that, feel free to ask.
I hope this helps some more people cap this for the sweet 10k Lapis price :)

2023.06.09 16:03 DynastyRizz My problems with Jahmyr Gibbs

I wanna start by saying I do think Gibbs will be good and the lowest I would let him drop is 1.03 or 1.04. But he may be better in real life than in fantasy.
  1. His comp being Kamara doesn't make a ton of sense for fantasy. While his workload should be very similar, he is 15 pounds lighter and clearly not as strong as Tennesee AK on tape. This could mean Gibbs doesn't get goal line/short yardage carries in the NFL. While this doesn't mean much for the Lions because guys like Jamaal Williams and now and David Montgomery can just punch it in from inside the 5, Gibbs might never reach elite TD numbers, which is the reason Kamara was an all-time great fantasy back instead of just a good one.
Once again, I think Gibbs is a great player and this concern is strictly for fantasy purposes. But if it's between a RB that doesn't have league winning TD upside and a WR in JSN who outproduced Olave and Wilson on the same team and who could lead the NFL in receptions in a few years, I can't help but think JSN is the smarter dynasty pick.

2023.06.09 15:03 HenballZ My honest take on the SFH:R Demo

As you all know, the demo has been released yesterday. The moment I learnt that the demo is out i rsuhed to steam and downloaded it. But after 2 hours of playing (completed the campaign and challenges) I'm more dissapointed.
The game says that it's an alpha build so I guess its not so long after the switch to unity from unreal. And I hope this is the case, because if they want to release it this Q3 and won't be fixed, I am not going to buy it.
The UI at moments looks and/or feels weird. For example the end screen of the match. It looks cool and all, but still feels weird to me. I've also noticed that switching the resolution and graphic settings doesn't really work? V-Sync is also impossible to turn on. The controls are good imo, but I lack the option of being able to switch the weapon when pressing Q on my keyboard.
The gameplay is the same as original for me, AI T-bagging their prey is funny but happens a bit too often imo. There are issues though that make it not so good. One of the issues is when you try to get on some part of map (let's the end of the cargo plane) it kinda clips the player through that but in the end the player is fine. Another issues is the gas perk, whenever enemy uses it, for the rest of the match the other team (the one that was gassed) will have those debuffs. There's also optimalization issue, for no reason the game will randomly drop from 60fps+ to like less than 30fps. There are many more issues (such as 3d cube visible on one map, or stats not being counted correctly after ending match) that I hope to get fixed soon.
Another feature that I feel there should be, is a text in pause menu that tells you what music is playing right now. Transitions to some stuff is also bad, like the sound ending as soon as i click the button without any transition to it (not even a screen transition). Some voicelines sound pretty bad, they also sometimes mute all music that is playing. 0

TLDR: the game demo is pretty buggy, but also enjoyable enough, that I'm concerned about the release. I wish the devs all the best and hope for a stable release.

2023.06.09 14:49 lunchboxthegoat 99 players / 99 days: #78 Bruce Smith - Virginia Tech

Counting down to the beginning of the season I'm going to attempt to post one player per day for the last 99 matching the days left to their jersey number. The players will be random. Use this thread to celebrate and Talk About Some Guystm
Bruce Smith did not play football until his sophomore year of high school. By the time he graduated he was all state. By the time he finished at Virginia Tech - he would change the position forever. He was 6'4" - 275lbs and ran like a linebacker. He made pass rushing an art. Even though sacks were not an official NCAA Stat until 2000 - Bruce Smith was one of the all-time greats at sacking the quarterback. He had 22 sacks during 1983 - his junior year - and was named a first team All-American. He followed that up with a senior season that resulted in him being named a first team All-American a second time and winning the Outland Trophy. During his time in Blacksburg he amassed 71 tackles behind the line of scrimmage (46 would be considered sacks).
After his incredible run at Virginia Tech he went onto be #1 overall pick in 1985 and have an equally legendary NFL career. He was an 8 time first team all pro, 2 time second team, 2 time defensive player of the year, 11 time pro bowler, a member of the 1980 and 1990 NFL all decade team and part of the 100th anniversary all-time team. He had 19 NFL seasons where he finished with 1+ sack and 13 where he had at least 10. He is still the all time NFL Sack leader with 200 over a 19 year career.
He was named to ESPNs 25 man All-Time All American team in 2019. He was inducted into the Virginia Tech Sports Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility. In 2005 he was elected to the State of Virginia Sports Hall of Fame. He was elected to the college football hall of fame in 2006, in 2008 he was inducted into the Buffalo Bills Wall of fame and in 2009 he was enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2009, his first year of eligibility. In 2016 his #78 was retired by the Buffalo Bills.

2023.06.09 14:46 Radiant-Map8179 I'm in the market for a 2h/thrower hybrid. In my humble noobish opinion... he's a bit pants...or is he redeemable?

So I hired a beggar for 30 crowns (3 a day) on the off chance that he may or may not be good. I really want a 2h/thrower hybrid in the team and this is the 1st time i've found a bro with 3 stars in both M and Ratk...could this guy fit the bill?, or has he got too many important stats to patch? I have a drill Sergeant, and plenty of money for training, so 10 good fights should get him to a respectable level...but he is squishy and has next to no defence...
