2023.06.09 17:44 Moopyflop Timeshift restoration to new laptop not working
Hello, I'm trying to migrate my system on my new (second hand) laptop by restoring everything with timeshift.Old laptop as a motherboard failure, AC is not working any more:
reddit post - old: Thinkpad T470 I3 128Go ssd 8Go ram Mint xfce 20.3 - new: Thinkpad T470 I5 512Go ssd 16GO ram I made the same partitions as on the old one, 30Go for / and 100 for /home, the rest of the new bigger ssd is for w$ dual boot. Then made a fresh snapshot including all files from root and /home and restored it from a live usb.
Problem: At startup I have the bug of the login going into a loop after I put my password, checked with the live usb and yeah / is full. Except on the origin laptop I still have 10Go free, on /home it's the opposite 40Go are missing.
Solutions tried: I tried with other snapshots excluding or including files differently, made another live usb using mkusb to get persistence and updated it but the problem is still the same.I also installed mint from the live usb then restored but the os doesn't want to start, I end up on a black screen with tty1 asking me to log in. When I do:"no directory, logging in with HOME=/-bash: impossible to create a temporary file for the "here-document" : file system read only accessible"checked with the live usb and again / is full and data is missing in /home.
And now the live usb can't access the snapshots partitions on the external hdd anymore:"error opening directory '/media/mint/saves linux': Permission denied"While it's perfectly working with the fresh and updated install and on the old pc.
I'm on it for days with other random issues happening like w$ not booting anymore on the new one (didn't touch it) or the boot order mysteriously changing on the old one after I created the last live usb... I'm getting mad, please help

2023.06.09 17:41 femmeadjacentpeach PSA for Anyone Locked Out of Their Account with No 2FA Access and No Backup Codes
I'm not sure if someone has already made a post about this, but I'm sharing this because I JUST did it after randomly thinking about it due to Meta's switch to Accounts Center. It literally took less than like 5 - 10 minutes to regain access.
Long story short, I've been locked out of my account for about 10 months because of a 2FA (Two-factor authentication) issue. I've gone back and forth with Instagram "support" using the steps in another post, but they just kept giving me the runaround. Here's how I got back in
without having to contact them again.
If you have a Facebook account and you have connected it to your Instagram through Accounts Center, go to
https://accountscenter.facebook.com . You may be prompted to log in with your Facebook account (I was already logged in). Once you're in you need to follow these steps:
- On the left panel under the "Account Settings" heading, click on "Password and Security"
- Then under the "Login & Recovery" heading, click on "Two-factor authentication"
- There will be a pop-up that shows you which accounts are in your Accounts Center. Click on the Instagram account that you are locked out of
- Click on "Additional methods" under the "How you get login codes" heading**
- Click on "Backup Codes" and you should see a set of five different 8-digit codes to use
- Use one of the codes to get back into your account. DO NOT close the tab/window yet, you may need a second code soon after***
**You can TRY to just change your 2FA settings in Accounts Center instead of using backup codes, but I kept getting an error message that said something like "Try changing your settings later"
***Once I logged in with the first backup code, I was asked to verify my information by sending a security code to my email or phone number and to change my password. After you do that it will STILL ASK FOR 2FA, so use a SECOND backup code to get in. After you're in your account, you can change your 2FA info and set up another 2FA method if you wish.
If you DON'T have a Facebook account connected to your Instagram, you can try to access Accounts Center by going to
https://accountscenter.instagram.com instead, but it does require you to log in through your Instagram, so it might not work. You can also maybe try to create a temporary Facebook account and connect them and then follow the steps above, but again, I'm not sure if it will work.
In a way, I honestly just got lucky that I connected my Insta and Facebook long before the permanent switch, so I already had one foot in the door so to speak, but I hope this helps!

2023.06.09 17:33 Psicoguana [FOR HIRE] Python dev here, coding bots and web scrapers just for you! Also simple websites
Hello!
I'm a programmer, mostly experienced in Python, making web-scrapers, bots and scripts.I can also create simple websites using React or apis with Node.js
Some of the things I can do: - Create a scraper using Selenium, BeautifulSoup, or an API. If you don't know about these tools don't worry! I'll pick the one that better fits your needs.
- Process excel and csv files.
- Work with a database (SQLite 3, PostgreSQL).
- I can code a scraper that can:
- Get data from any website really fast using asynchronous code.
- Write said data into an excel spreadsheet or a csv file.
- Login to a webpage.
- Download files.
- Code bots for Reddit (with the magic of PRAW I should be able to interact with anything reddit related).
- Automate stuff: If it's boring and repetitive, then it's the perfect job for a bot.
- Text manipulation: remove/replace a certain word or special characters, add lines. Pretty much anything as long as it can be predictable.
- File manipulation: you have a bunch of files that you constantly need to organize yourself? One of my bots can do that for you :)
- Code Telegram Bots.
- Bypass captchas like reCaptcha, hCaptcha, etc.
If you want to see some of the code I've written feel free to checkout my jobs
here and
one of my repos which received +100 ⭐ on Github. You can also check my portfolio
here Pricing I'm starting with $15/h. I can also do commissions
• Payment method: I prefer crypto, but also accept Wise and PayPal.

2023.06.09 17:15 AutoModerator RepWeidianSneakers Member Guide and Rulebook: Read Upon Arrival and Before Posting!
Hello, and welcome to
RepWeidianSneakers! Whether you’re a long-time member or someone new who just straggled in from one of the other replica subreddits, this
recurring post will serve as an introduction to or reminder of the subreddit rules. This group runs in several key ways that may be different from other groups to ensure we maintain a high-quality group where well-informed replica buyers can engage in constructive conversation regarding the best batches for various shoes, batch flaws of popular and commonly purchased batches, and QC posts of new and old products alike.
Please do your best to stay up-to-date on the latest subreddit rules and cultural norms in order to make sure that your participation in the group is in accordance with how we run things here! All sub rules are visible along the side bar if on desktop, and under the "About" tab if on mobile. We appreciate your attention and diligence to subreddit policies, and hope you enjoy your time here!
The following rules will be outlined in the following ways:
- Most Important Rule of the Sub
- Post Formats (QC, Find, Help Me Find)
- General Subreddit/Reddit-Wide Rules
Rule #1: Sneakers from Weidian, TaoBao only This one should be self-explanatory - QCs for shoes purchased from middlemen are not allowed on this sub. I understand that many users value the input from members in this subreddit specifically due to their reputation and credibility, but we want to keep this sub as pure to its purpose as possible. If there are specific people from whom you want input from, feel free to post in the other rep subs and tag them.
Additionally, when users ask for recommendations on where to purchase, make sure to provide links to Weidian or TaoBao stores, and not middlemen. Middlemen sell Weidian/TaoBao products at a markup for convenience -
always focus on the actual product. Rule #2: QC Post Title Guidelines: [QC] {Price in Yuan} {Batch} {Shoe Name} from {Seller Name} When posting your QCs or Finds, use the following format: [QC] {Price in Yuan} {Batch} {Shoe Name} from {Seller Name}.
Example: [QC] 400¥ FK Batch Travis Scott x Jordan 1 High OG Mocha from A GDJ Supplier The Group Automod comments on every single post in this group with a reminder of this title format.
If your title does not include each of the necessary components in the brackets above, please be proactive and repost with the correct format. If you don’t delete the post, a moderator will, and that or repeated infractions may result in a temporary ban from the group.
This rule exists to ensure the group is easily searchable to help make researching batches on your own as streamlined as possible. Rule #3: QC Posts need W2C Link:
If you are posting a QC, make sure to post the W2C link. If the listing link is dead, please post the link to the store where the shoe was purchased instead. No W2C link will result in the deletion of your post!
You are welcome to post Weidian links, TaoBao links, or links from any shipping agent except for PandaBuy, given that PandaBuy forces you to login to see the item, whereas the other agent links do not.
Linking a PandaBuy link and not an alternative link will result in the deletion of your post. Rule #4: Help Me Find Post Title Guidelines: [HELP ME FIND] {Shoe Name} + Picture of Shoe If you are hunting for a certain pair, your
post title must include the Full Shoe Name and Colorway as well as a picture of the shoe in question. If either is missing, your post will be deleted.
This rule exists to reduce the number of repetitive “Help Me Find” posts, as a user will be able to search previously posted “Help Me Find” posts for the shoe they want. Example: [HELP ME FIND] Jordan 1 High Chicago
Rule #5: Find Post Title Guidelines: [FIND] {Price in Yuan} {Batch} {Shoe Name} from {Seller Name} Okay, so you’re on WeChat, and a seller has posted a new product. You want to be the first one to post about it on Reddit, so you rush over and make the post. Great, pat yourself on the back. Just kidding. Don’t just stop there - put some thought into the post. How does this new find compare to other products on the market? Do they have potential? You don’t have to be an expert QCer, but give your general thoughts.
In short, were these worth finding? The hope is that with this general subreddit policy, it will encourage people to post high-quality finds and reduce clutter from low-tier finds that don’t add much to the group. Rule #6: Be Respectful of One Another Please be nice and courteous to one another. All rules of Reddiquette apply. Your membership in this subreddit is contingent upon your overall Reddit activity, not just limited to this subreddit. To put explicitly, this includes but is not limited to: harassing or disrespecting others in other subreddits, posting hate speech of any kind, or spreading misinformation. Any violation of this will result in the banning of your account and any alternate accounts you may be known to have!
Rule #7: No Cussing In line with the previous rule, no cussing on the sub, please. Often, on the rep subs, the only time people are cussing is to insult one another, spread misinformation, or speak illy in general. For this reason, an AutoMod is in place that will regulate posts and comments on the sub. Your post/comment will be deleted and you will receive a message alerting you if this happens. Bonus: Mr. Frosty can't post or comment without some sort of explicit language, so this simple rule (and the accompanying AutoMod) keeps the sub safe
Rule #8: Support Your Statements with Evidence Essentially, cite your source. Let's avoid being like other rep subs where people make up rumors or decide their opinions without any research or evidence.
If you comment saying a batch is the best or better than what has been posted, show us why. Link reference posts, rep vs retails, QCs, etc. Show, rather than tell, us why what you're saying is correct. If your statement is a good one, this shouldn't be difficult. As above, don't default to name calling if you can't support your statement. It is okay to have a well-informed opinion - it is not okay to have an uneducated opinion that you spread as fact.
If you run into issues with a member or members in the group that are not participating in this group norm, please tag a mod, and the situation will be handled accordingly.
Rule #9: No Seller Ads Self-explanatory. This especially applies to lost middlemen posting their fake QCs to try to gain business.
If you are a member and see this, please report the post. If a post receives enough reports, it is automatically removed and sent to the mod queue. This helps keep the group clean through community effort.
Rule #10: No WeChat Verification Posts I understand that you may want your WeChat verified in order to communicate with sellers or see their WeChat Moments. There are other subs for WeChat Verifications though. Please do not make these posts here. Use the appropriate subs. Posts will be deleted.
Rule #11: No Memes This group aims to be a research-focused subreddit. It prides itself on providing the most objective information possible. Please keep the memes or satire posts in other subs. This includes meme titles or captions such as "how fast do I need to walk" or "fire up the rep machines." These posts add little to no value and are often unoriginal anyway.
Any use of meme titles will result in a 14-day temp ban as previously announced, as will repeated infractions of posting other memes.
Lastly, this Group is Not Meant to Be a Direct Line to u/poncecatchemall Please reference his guides and resources linked below for answers to most commonly asked questions. He does not read chats asking repetitive questions, and mod mail is not meant to be used to ask specifically him questions, so do not use it for that purpose.

Thank you in advance to everyone for following the sub rules and for keeping this sub a great, high-quality sub to be a part of. If there are any rule addition recommendations, we are always open to suggestions.

2023.06.09 17:05 chillypie10 How I recovered my hacked FB account.
Learned my lesson of downloading dodgy software and running them on my personal machine... but anyways here is the story of how I recovered my hacked FB account.
In short, I woke up to my FB account's email and password changed and my phone number removed all in the morning whilst I was sleeping. What was even weird is that my password was a randomly generated ~12 character string and I had 2FA set up on my phone. Essentially the usual to what happens to most people who's accounts get hacked on FB.
Of course, I panicked.
So on my phone, I went onto the link given to my email before it was changed and tried to reverse the process in which FB asked me if the hacker's email was mine... which was funny because there was no option to SAY NO IT WASN'T MINE, so me being anxiety and panic ridden clicked the confirmation option which made this process EVEN MORE HARDER to recover my account.
So now my dumbass had now just confirmed the hacker's email and didn't know the password. BUT I was on the my FB's Meta account centre. Now being even more of a dumbass, I should've:
- Tried some fiddling in adding my email back in the personal details > contact information so I could have control again. As adding an email/ phone number to your contact information didn't require you to enter your password. Then from there remove the hacker's email and make my email as the primary contact email and from there reset my password.
- Log out of all other devices except the one I'm using.
- If I wanted to DELETE my account as FB has such shit privacy + I don't really use FB at all.
- BEEN ON A GOD DAMN PC/LAPTOP WHEN DOING THIS BECAUSE ATTEMPTING TO CLICK THE LINK AND RECOVER MY ACCOUNT ON A PHONE IS SO DAMN HARD AS THE INTERFACE IS SO BAD.
But of course, I love to make life harder for myself it seems and I DIDN'T do that at all and instead I finally went on a laptop and went to this:
https://www.facebook.com/hacked and the other useless FB online links. Which effectively logged me out of every single device so I no longer was logged in on my phone.
And as we all know I was put in an endless loop without the "not longer have access to these?" option, So I searched the web for any possibility to try and recover my account. From methods of:
- Using my friend's oculus serial number to contact FB human support from there.
- Trying to contact Microsoft support (hacker's email was outlook) to delete the email
- Attempting to email FB support
Which all didn't work. So
here's what worked for me: After a month, I went back to my parent's place which had a bit of an oldish (win 10, my laptop was win 11 and phone is pretty new) PC that is a trusted device. I thought why not try the recovery process again? So I went back to Facebook and tried to login with my old email and details, and what I saw is that my old email was still registered on the FB account. So I tried account recovery (
https://www.facebook.com/hacked) and ended up in the section of Reset Your Password, and finally saw the little prompt of submitting a new recovery email and ID was there, so I submitted my ID and a new recovery email.
I then also saw another method which was to SIGN INTO MY GOOGLE ACCOUNT TO BYPASS EVERYTHING AND CREATE A NEW PASSWORD as I created the account with a gmail. So I redid the account recovery process and signed into my google account, redid the 2FA that was apparently still set up on my phone? and finally changed the password and logged in. I then went straight to the Account Centre, added my email, deleted the hackers, essentially followed the bullet points on what I should've done and now my FB account has 2 authenticator apps connected to it and a 20+ character randomised password.
My advice once I had been through all stages of grief back and forth:
- Don't panic, stay calm
- Do the recovery process on a laptop/pc
- If you're logged in do everything in your power to get rid of the hacker's details and add yours
- Delete FB because of it's shit support.
I think the reason it worked on this PC was due to it being a trusted device + being on windows 10/ not being the newest version so the browser interface/functions was probably old? and I think I just found a loophole in general.
Anyways, for those who made it to the end thank you for reading this hell of a mess of a post and I hope it somewhat helps you. I hope you all manage to recover your Facebook accounts. And finally, fuck FB 😁.
tl;dr: If you made your FB account with a google email then use a trusted device with an old updated i.e windows 10 pc/laptop and try the account recovery process from there. Most likely the sign in with google account option is there to reset your password and bypass everything. Then delete the hacker's info. Alternatively the proof of ID button should show up and you can also try that process there. I did both.

General standard hosts cannot optimize their systems to one particular platform because they to need to be able to run lot of different types of software. When the lot websites will running on the same single server then it is not possible to optimize all of them at once. On the other hand, managed WordPress hosting offer a complete package to fully manage the WordPress sites. Managed WordPress hosting offer all the facilities from security to customization to operating system management. Managed WordPress hosting make site working more efficiently and performed pretty fast. Security is another sector where managed WordPress hosting works. It is probably very easy to develop the secured system when you know exactly all the inside and out of the platform and you know the exact needs and weak points of your system (in our case WordPress site). Host providers are well familiar with what action should be taken once an unauthorized person makes an attempt to login to your site with incorrect details, they can build specific tool in to the server that tops any malicious attempt automatically. As a result of all these services, you have more secure, fast and more stable hosting architecture. Managed WordPress hosting systems only need to be concreted on a single platform called WordPress. This allows to use maximum of WordPress strengths and cuts down the weaknesses. Benefits of managed WordPress hosting Here are some of the features of managed WordPress hosting: • It automatically manages the updates and keep system running smoothly. Managed WordPress can also have automatic security fixes issues. • It automatically backups the data daily or monthly available on site database. • Managed WordPress hosting offers complete support to fix any bug and issue appears on a WordPress site. • Managed WordPress hosting gives you more confident related to security issues. Host provider companies make sure that no unauthorized person can access the data and the complete data is being stored manually. • Managed WordPress hosting provide you fully tuned dashboards where you can all the things like provide you individual statistics on usage, you can see the visitor traffic statistics, updates you if you are using out-of-date plugins. • Managed WordPress hosting also offers automatic WordPress setup which allows you to run a new WordPress site in seconds. When you need a new WordPress site, all you need to do is fill out the short form with some site and admin details and a complete WordPress install will be created automatically. 2023.06.09 16:24 CISO_Series_Producer Top cybersecurity stories for the week of 06-05-23 to 06-09-23
Below are the top headlines we’ve been reporting this whole week on Cyber Security Headlines.
If you’d like to hear and participate in a discussion about them, the CISO Series does a live 20-minute show every Friday at 12:30pm PT/3:30pm ET. Each week we welcome a different cyber practitioner to offer some color to the week's stories. Our guest this week is
Joshua Scott, Head of Security and IT, Postman.
To get involved you can watch live and participate in the discussion on
YouTube Live or you can
subscribe to the Cyber Security Headlines podcast and get it into your feed.
Here are the stories we plan to cover:
AI-automated malware campaigns coming soon, says Mikko Hyppönen Cybersecurity pioneer Mikko Hyppönen began his cybersecurity career 32 years ago at Finnish cybersecurity company F-Secure, two years before Tim Berners-Lee released the world’s first web browser, and is now the chief research officer at WithSecure. In an interview with CSO Online. He states it is “mandatory for the cybersecurity industry to embrace AI technology…It will only be a matter of months before malicious threat actors use widely available AI source code to perfect their techniques for complete automation of malware campaigns.” (

US research agency examines cyber psychology to outwit criminal hackers A new project at the Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity — the U.S. intelligence community’s moonshot research division — is trying to better understand hackers’ psychology, discover their blind spots and build software that exploits these deficiencies to improve computer security. “When you look at how attackers gain access, they often take advantage of human limitations and errors, but our defenses don’t do that,” Kimberly Ferguson-Walter, the IARPA program manager overseeing the initiative, told CyberScoop. Dubbed Reimagining Security with Cyberpsychology-Informed Network Defenses or “ReSCIND,” the IARPA initiative is an open competition inviting expert teams to submit proposals for how they would study hackers’ psychological weaknesses and then build software exploiting them. Barracuda urges customers to replace vulnerable appliances immediately Following up on a story we covered last week, enterprise security company Barracuda has now warned its customers against using email security gateway (ESG) appliances impacted by a recently disclosed zero-day exploit and to replace them immediately. A patch for the vulnerability, which has been exploited since October 2022, had been issued by Barracuda last month to stop the exploit from allowing ESG backdooring. “The vulnerability existed in a module which initially screens the attachments of incoming emails,” the company had said previously. “No other Barracuda products, including our SaaS email security services, were subject to the vulnerability identified.” (

Clop blamed for MOVEit attack Microsoft’s Threat Intelligence team attributed the recent attack against the popular managed file transfer platform to the Clop ransomware organization. It found the zero-day used in the attack followed similar behavior observed with Clop in the past. The attacks used a vulnerability to deploy crafted webshells on servers, providing access to files and credentials. Bleeping Computer and various security researchers observed attacks in the wild with this exploit over Memorial Day weekend. No word on any ransom demands yet. Clop previously used vulnerabilities in the Accellion FTA and GoAnywhere MFT in the past. (

New ChatGPT attack technique spreads malicious packages Vulcan Cyber's Voyager18 research team described the discovery in an advisory published this week. Based on their proof of concept, researcher Bar Lanyado said the team identified a new malicious package spreading technique they called "AI package hallucination." The technique involves posing a question to ChatGPT, requesting a package to solve a coding problem, and receiving multiple package recommendations, including some not published in legitimate repositories. By replacing these non-existent packages with their own malicious ones, attackers can deceive future users who rely on ChatGPT's recommendations. (

Google Workspace gets passkeys Google added passkey support for Workspace admins, meaning they can now enable users to sign in to either a Workspace or Google Cloud account using a passkey, no password required. By default, Workspace accounts will still require a password. But even when not allowing passkeys as a sign-in, organizations can still enable them for 2FA. Back in December, Google added passkey support in Chrome, and last month it added passkey login support for standard accounts. (

1Password launches its public passkey beta Password manager 1Password has launched its public beta for passkeys, which will allow users to replace passwords with authentication systems built into their devices. 1Password users can now create, store, and share passkeys for supported websites by installing the 1Password beta browser extension for Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox, or Brave. Passkeys can only be created for websites and services that have rolled out their own passkey support. 1Password users will be able to vote on which sites and services they’d like to support passkeys. While it won’t guarantee those platforms will integrate passkey support, the hope seems to be that developers will be motivated to add the feature due to popular demand. (

Verizon releases its annual Data Breach Investigations Report (DBIR) On Tuesday, Verizon issued its 2023 Data Breach Investigations Report (DBIR). The report revealed that three-quarters of data breaches over the last year (74%) involved the human element, caused by employees falling for social engineering attacks, making errors, or using their access maliciously. Credentials accounted for seventy-six percent of the data compromised in social engineering attacks followed by internal organizational information (28%) and personal data. Finally, the report noted that ransomware events held steady accounting for about a quarter of overall incidents, however the median cost of a ransomware attack doubled since the prior year. Verizon noted that in order to rein in these key trends, organizations need to focus on employee security hygiene, implementing true multifactor authentication, and collaboration across organizations to share threat intelligence. SEC drops cases due to data protection failures The US Securities and Exchange Commission dismissed 42 cases due to its staff access documents only intended for judges. This came after a review that began back in April 2022, when it disclosed two other cases that broke similar legal rules. Due to insufficient safeguards within the agency, staffers could download restricted databases and share access through internal memos. The SEC said it found “no evidence that the control deficiency resulted in harm to any respondent or affected the Commission’s adjudication in any proceeding.” (

2023.06.09 15:41 reactnativeusa How can I ensure the security of my mobile app developed by a React Native company?
To ensure the security of your mobile app developed by a React Native development company in the USA, you can follow these essential steps:
- Research and choose a reputable company: Look for a reliable React Native development company in the USA that has a proven track record in building secure mobile applications. Check their portfolio, client reviews, and certifications to ensure they prioritize security.
- Conduct a security assessment: Collaborate with the development company to perform a comprehensive security assessment of your mobile app. This process involves identifying potential vulnerabilities, assessing risks, and implementing appropriate security measures.
- Secure code practices: Ensure that the React Native development company follows secure coding practices. They should adhere to industry-standard guidelines, such as the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP), to prevent common security vulnerabilities like injection attacks, cross-site scripting (XSS), and insecure data storage.
- Data encryption: Implement strong encryption techniques for sensitive data transmission and storage. Utilize encryption algorithms such as AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) to protect user information, login credentials, and other critical data.
- Authentication and authorization: Implement robust authentication and authorization mechanisms within your app. This includes secure user authentication methods like two-factor authentication (2FA) or biometric authentication, ensuring that only authorized users can access the app's features and data.
- Secure backend infrastructure: Verify that the React Native development company implements a secure backend infrastructure. This includes using secure protocols (such as HTTPS) for data transmission, employing secure servers and databases, and regularly applying security patches and updates.
- Regular security updates: Ensure that the development company has a process in place for timely security updates. Mobile app security is an ongoing process, and it is crucial to address any vulnerabilities that may arise from new threats or changes in technology.
- Penetration testing: Conduct regular penetration testing or hire a third-party security firm to perform security assessments. This helps identify any weaknesses in your app's security measures and allows for remediation before any malicious attacks occur.
- User privacy and permissions: Respect user privacy by implementing appropriate permission requests and providing clear explanations for data collection and usage. Follow privacy regulations, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), depending on your target audience.
- Regular security audits: Periodically audit the security measures of your app developed by the React Native development company. This can help identify any gaps or areas for improvement, ensuring that your app remains secure throughout its lifecycle.
By following these steps, you can enhance the security of your mobile app developed by a React Native development company in the USA and protect user data from potential threats and vulnerabilities.

2023.06.09 15:32 dooburt DawnCraft and Valhelsia Enhanced Vanilla EU: The Great Beyond!
I'm running a growing community of modded Minecraft servers called
The Great Beyond.
Currently, I - now becoming we - are running:
DawnCraft One of the most recent and fastest growing additions is DawnCraft. It is like Skyrim for Minecraft and is fiendishly hard, with 30+ new bosses, hundreds of new structures and a quest line. Oh, there is even a new fighting stance too (Epic Fight), which looks really cool.
If you choose to play DawnCraft, you can't be a wimp. It takes a good pile of determination. Prepare to die (it's easily done and happens a lot) and luck certainly favours the brave!
DawnCraft for us has been popular and we have seen a group of dedicated players on a lot. They've learnt the game and have been helping those who are new. They group up to build bases and take down bosses - and build the occasional bonkers mob farm. We've developed the spawn: we have a subway system to take you out from spawn, a chairlift - for laughs - and numerous bits and pieces to explore, considering it's early version DawnCraft, we're stable and have good pings and TPS.
You can join our DawnCraft server here:
dawncraft.thegreatbeyond.org:25575 Read more about us and DawnCraft here:
thegreatbeyond.org/dawncraft And join Discord here:
https://discord.gg/6dk62uR4tt We're running DawnCraft
1.21_hf. Get it from CurseForge here:
https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/dawn-craft If you see something about a Pineapple mod when you try to login; you're on the wrong version!
ChosenArchitect has just started a DawnCraft play through:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DnxHtB263Kc&list=PLSHY33Yr3-nzS5bA8GGG9Ad0lk-Wrs3l6&ab_channel=ThatOneGuy Suev managed 200 hardcore days:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NZ2XCx3zkLE&ab_channel=Suev Valhelsia Enhanced Vanilla Valhelsia Enhanced Vanilla has an RPG-style skill system, making it a tough pack to get started on. Mining types, machines, weapons and tools are locked behind your ability to use them and you have to earn the right to use them with XP. A lot of players find that early progression off-putting and don't appreciate the grind. This is not a pack for the light-hearted!
If - however - you aren't put off by tough start, the pack is hugely rewarding; filled with content such as Immersive Engineering, Create, Applied Energistics & Tech Reborn.
Not only that, the game sounds and looks beautiful (it comes with shaders as default).
You can join our Valhelsia EV server here:

https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/valhelsia-enhanced-vanilla We run on a completely dedicated box with a slab of RAM, a solid CPU for TPS and from a big EU datacenter, have a growing Discord community and a rather pretty website:

2023.06.09 15:22 Mean_Trick_1 What are your best SimpleLogin practices?
Hello
I have the free plan.
I currently have 15 aliases (@simplelogin.com, @aleeas.com, @slmail.me etc.) that are connected to my regular Gmail and Outlook emails.
I realise it may have been a bad practice.
The thing is, I've been creating this aliases completely randomly and using them randomly. Lost of websites require to create an account in order to access their content.
Now I have tons of spam on my regular inboxes.
I have deactivated most of my aliases but whenever I need to create a new account in a website, I have to reactivate the alias and that's when all the spam that was blocked arrives massively to my inbox.
I'm using the SimpleLogin Android App. I don't see any features to block contacts.
I know it may have been stupid to link the email aliases to my regular email but I can only click on "confirm this email" from my inbox (if I could do it right in SimpleLogin it would be better) and for commodity reasons I use the Outlook app which is connected to my normal address.
I don't want to buy a domain name. What do you recommend? What are your best practices in order to use SL smoothly?

2023.06.09 15:03 TGotAReddit Important information about the state of the subreddit - please read
Hey all!
So, I have some news to share. As many of you know, this subreddit has 2 moderators, myself TGotAReddit, and my comod, AllHarlowsEve (aka Harlow). Except at this point that isn't entirely true. As of today, Harlow hasn't done a single moderator action on the subreddit in 29 days per the mod log. Tomorrow will be a full month. Normally we don't exactly police how much moderating either of us do on any given time, and in the past Harlow definitely picked up a lot of slack for me for some extended periods of time when I had personal issues I was dealing with. But for the last month, I've tried reaching out to Harlow repeatedly and gotten no responses to any of my messages or DMs. So for the last month I've been the sole mod here and haven't been able to get ahold of them despite repeated attempts. I've had to make some moderator decisions that I would have preferred to not make alone, alone. As they were added as a moderator a day before me, they are the top mod for this subreddit so I cannot remove them as a moderator without going through reddit's admin top-mod removal process. That requires the top mod to not have activity for at least 60 days. If they were to come back now, that would be great but with the extended absence and complete radio-silence, combined with the upcoming killing of 3rd party apps for reddit, which I know Harlow relies on due to being blind, I do not anticipate them returning.
I did not plan to tell any of you this until those 60 days had already passed and the top-mod removal process already started or even completed. I had planned to just take on modding alone until then and just deal with the extra workload on my own. But there has been a lot of things happening on the sub lately that have needed modding and I've been spending between 2 and 6 hours a day every weekday on reddit keeping up with everything. It's too much for me to handle on top of everything else in my life. Additionally, with the 3rd party apps going down at the end of the month, I don't know if I'll even be able to continue moderating at all on my phone which is my main device that I can use to moderate. So my ability to moderate you all will likely be vastly less in less than 30 days time.
So because of all of that, I am opening up applications to be a moderator here. If you want to be a moderator and help out with leading this community, please fill out the google form I will link at the end of this post. I will leave the form open until the
18th which will get us past the blackout protest that is still happening from the 12th to the 14th, and the rest of that week where I will be busy as I have family visiting from out of town. That will give me a week and a half to onboard new mods before the app I use stops working and it gets harder for me to mod.
Preference for current or former AO3 volunteers will be given but it is absolutely
not a requirement.
For anyone who wants more information on the blackout protest or the 3rd party apps situation, see the previous post about the protest
here, and see information about the 3rd party apps situation at either
ModCoord or the pinned post on the subreddit for the app I use that was at the forefront of this entire thing
here Looking for the usual invite megathread that gets stickied here? Here is the link ->
https://www.reddit.com/AO3/comments/13lmpru/monthly_invite_link_mega_thread_may_2023/ tl;dr: Mod applications are open. Apply at this link:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScGfBL6yIosV9DXYMo-7Yw2_xjvX3Xdwy6-M8I1i-sNK_f6Kw/viewform?usp=sf_link Note: it will require you to log into your google account but it will
not collect your email address or give it to me. The login requirement is only so people can only submit 1 application each. Also, most of the answers are short answer or paragraph answer. I have not estimated the time this will take you to complete, but please set aside some time to do it as it may take you a little while. There are 23 questions total.
Please let me know if there are any issues, or questions you may have.
- TGotAReddit <3
P.S. Please be good to each other and patient with me and each other between the return on the 14th and the 18th since I won't be around much at all during that time period.

In this post, we'll discuss the top 3 methods for recovering funds from crypto scams and where to report crypto scam incidents. So keep reading if you want to learn how you can fight back against crypto scammers! Understanding How Cryptocurrency Scams Work https://preview.redd.it/4s1s2dfsiz4b1.png?width=965&format=png&auto=webp&s=5f6f90f73efaf048d0d646b582a27c80a99cb20d Cryptocurrency scams work by tricking victims into giving away their personal information or transferring cryptocurrency to the scammers. These scammers often use social media and other online platforms to lure in unsuspecting victims with false promises of quick profits or fake investment opportunities. One common type of crypto scam is the crypto investment scam, where scammers ask for payment in the form of gift cards instead of cryptocurrency. They may also claim that they need access to victims' wallets or accounts in order to make trades on their behalf, when in reality they are stealing funds. Another type of crypto scam is phishing, where fraudsters send out emails pretending to be from a legitimate company like a crypto exchange, requesting login credentials or other sensitive information. Once they have this information, they can steal users' funds and identities. It's important for individuals to stay informed about these tactics used by crypto scammers so that they can take steps to protect themselves and avoid falling victim to fraudulent activity. Educating oneself on how these scams operate and what warning signs exist can help prevent future losses. Different Types of Cryptocurrency Scams Cryptocurrency scams come in many shapes and sizes, but they all have one thing in common: they're designed to cheat you out of your hard-earned money. One type of cryptocurrency scam is crypto investment scam, Ponzi schemes, where investors are promised high returns on their investment but the returns are actually being paid with other people's investments. Another type of cryptocurrency scam is phishing attacks, where scammers impersonate legitimate crypto exchanges or wallet providers to trick you into giving up your personal information. Once they have access to your account, they can steal your funds. Fake ICOs (Initial Coin Offerings) are another type of cryptocurrency scam that promise huge profits for a new coin or token before it even launches. These scams prey on the fear of missing out and often involve creating fake websites and social media accounts. There are fake giveaways and investment opportunities that ask for payment via wire transfer or gift cards. These types of scams often promise huge profits for little effort, but once victims send their funds, the scammers disappear without a trace. It's important to be aware of these different types of cryptocurrency scams so you can protect yourself from falling victim to financial fraud. How to Report Cryptocurrency Scams If you have been scammed out of your cryptocurrency or suspect fraudulent activity, it is important to know how and where to report the scam. Reporting these scams not only helps you recover lost funds but also assists in preventing further financial fraud. One option for reporting crypto scams is through government agencies such as the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) or law enforcement. The FTC has a Consumer Complaint Assistant where individuals can report scams online or via phone. Law enforcement can also be contacted if there has been significant financial loss. Another option is to report the scam directly to the cryptocurrency exchange involved in the transaction. Exchanges may have their own protocols for investigating and resolving fraudulent activities on their platform. Reporting crypto scams on social media platforms can also potentially help prevent others from falling victim to similar schemes. Sharing information about suspicious accounts or transactions can alert others and bring attention to ongoing fraudulent activity. A new website called Report Scammed Bitcoin (RSB) was created specifically for victims of crypto fraud seeking assistance with recovering lost funds. RSB provides a step-by-step guide and resources for reporting scams, including filing complaints with relevant authorities and tracking stolen digital assets. Remember that reporting cryptocurrency scams not only protects yourself but also helps protect other potential victims from falling into similar traps set by cunning crypto scammers!
