Idk.. Like 8 years ago this girl and I didn't work out.. It was constantly hot and cold with her. There was a lot but the main reasons she started the major fights was because I smoked pot living in Colorado, and she constantly accused me of lying to her, and if I proved her wrong, she'd be like "Oh well I thought.." and never apologize. She moved back to her home state, found a bf, got married within months. But in a way for like 4 years I thought I was an issue. We talked off an on. She'd sometimes rubbed it in that I should've listened to her (when I try) and now she's married and happy and says her bf smokes weed, but has a medical card so its okay but fuck me for ever smoking it just to chill. Cool. Well, she blocked me between year 3 and 4 because I had a gay pride post in support of my friends and has slandered me ever since. Never have we been cool since. Well fast forward to year 6. I was starting a business that failed and she catfishes me, I think trying to be snoopy because somebody told her I have a company now. I track her IP and that's how I knew it was her, and she put her real occupation on her profile. Well I blocked her and now we are at like year 8 and she created another catfishing account last week to message me posing as somebody else after finding out that i started another brand and am starting to see success. I told her i knew it was her and lifes okay and to have a good one and she left me on read. I then called her a narcissist and told her how I felt to her fake profile. But I feel kind of bad now. I really do care about her regardless. Maybe she's really not having bad intentions at this time but she's gotta feel lonely to be doing this 😔 Like me and her have similar pasts and they weren't good so I know she's gotta be feeling some kind of emptiness and maybe she wants to reach out to me to talk, which is why she left me on read. I can't speak for her but she never seemed to just love herself.. She was perfect I loved her ❤️😔 Maybe she's just doesn't have to confidence and her pride is too much to. Maybe her bf left but if he didn't I feel bad for him because this is not wife shit. I never check because I got exhausted. Idk I'm stuck if I should keep her blocked or ask if she's really ok. I really don't want a storm but I care and idk why I do at this point but.. yea 🤷🥺❤️

So I fell into a rabbit hole around the red light district/mobster history of MN. Read all about Kidd Cann, his stranglehold on the city and state government and the many murders he carried out on journalists who exposed his associations and crimes.
One thing I was curious about though was Sid Hartman's connection to Kidd Cann and the AZ Syndicate. Obviously Sid has come to know a bunch of famous people as a local sports reporter. He claims Cann and him were lifelong friends. In the book Sid! by Patrick Ruesse, Hartmann talks about being friends with Cann and associates as they were fellow Jewish kids from the Northside. Hartmann evens recalls how he almost got arrested with Cann on night at a Jazz Club but begged the police to let him go. Seems like a fascinating book which I unfortunately haven't found a copy of and only read snippets I found online.
However, Kid Cann's reputation and exploits were well known at this point in the 1930s. He was widely believed to have killed many journalists who campaigned against corruption. Including a high profile case involving mob ties between Cann and Governor Olson. He would remain a powerful force in liqour sales followingnthe end of prohibition and shady business practices for another 20+ years before being arrested on transporting a woman for prostitution over state lines. A sports journalist being close friends of a man who kills reporters seems like it would anger others in the profession, some of whom may have had associations with the deceased.

I was driving home from work the other night. Two motorcycles ripped past me like I was standing still. I was doing 80. A couple of miles down the road I saw brake lights. I pulled over to see if I could help. There was a woman standing on the shoulder on her cell phone. I could hear someone cursing at the top of their lungs. The bike was in the pines on fire. One rider laid on his side piled up. His body twisted. His friend was talking to him, I couldn’t hear what was said. I ran up to them. The crotch rocket was ablaze at the base of a tree. I had always heard that you shouldn’t move someone that’s been in an accident because you might injure them further. But the fire was growing. We had no choice. His friend and I lifted him and carried him up he slope to the asphalt. We laid him down and I put his helmet between my knees. He was broken. I could feel that he was broken. When the police arrived an EMT relieved me and I stood on the shoulder watching as they attended to him. After working 60plus hours at the refinery that week I was exhausted. The fire grew and grew and I was no longer helpful so I left. I wrote this poem over the next week or so.
