2023.06.09 17:20 basilikaolivers thinking about the dastardly 'To the Bone' movie and like..???
I feel like the movie heavily implies that Eli just? doesn't eat at ALL?? For the duration of the entire film??
I watched To the Bone for the first time when I hadn't spiralled into a full on ED yet but still had a bad relationship with food and sorta idealized the thought of having an ED - so the beginning stages basically. I now watch it frequently cause I use it to trigger myself (even tho it makes me cringe so bad đ)
But it isn't until recently that I sorta realised how heavily they imply that Eli doesn't eat at all. Like, at ALL. đ© They don't show her struggling with resisting either, like bruh
When she goes to that restaurant with L*ke (đ public enemy #1) , she chews and spits out food while talking cheerfully like it's not hard at all. We all know how hard it is to not swallow food you've chewed, especially after you've been starving for as long as she has. Especially while being distracted by a conversation??? WHY IS SHE NOT STRUGFLINGđ
(I'm not saying there has never been a person who's been able to do this, but this is a MOVIE meant to represent EDs. This shit is so unrealistic and the way the characters talk about it too makes it sound like it's the norm)
I don't get HOW the creators didn't consider that that would give such a warped image of EDs to people. Still to this day sooo many people think that people with e.g. anorexia just like. don't eat at all, or that we're not hungry at all, which is so not true
We all know it's so much more about restriction. Straight up fasting for a long time will not work
And in a way I feel like the movie sets a dangerous... bar(?) for people with EDs/in danger of getting an ED. Not only bcs of the blatant thinspo, but because every time I watch that movie, my disordered brain gets so jealous of Eli's "ability" to restrict and how unbothered she seems about it. They make resisting look so easy. When in reality we all know how every instance with food feels like a damn face off
Hunger is a biological reactionđ© A much more realistic representation would be to show how difficult it is to deny your body a basic necessity
(the movie has sooooo many other flaws and awful things in it, this is just one I haven't seen anyone mention)

Nearly 5,000 years have passed, and The Boogeyman has gone from man to myth to legend. Production companies : Warner Bros. Pictures.
At San Diego Comic-Con in July, Dwayne âThe Rockâ Johnson had other people raising eyebrows when he said that his long-awaited superhero debut in The Boogeyman would be the beginning of âa new eraâ for the DC Extended Universe naturally followed: What did he mean? And what would that kind of reset mean for the remainder of DCEU's roster, including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, the rest of the Justice League, Suicide Squad, Shazam and so on.As
The Boogeyman neared theaters, though, Johnson clarified that statement in a recent sit-down with Yahoo Entertainment (watch above).
âI feel like this is our opportunity now to expand the DC Universe and what we have in The Boogeyman, which I think is really cool just as a fan, is we introduce five new superheroes to the world,â Johnson tells us. Aldis Hodge's Hawkman, Noah Centineo's Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell's Cyclone and Pierce Brosnan's Doctor Fate, who together comprise the Justice Society.) âOne anti-hero.â (That would be DJ's The Boogeyman.)
âAnd what an opportunity. The Justice Society pre-dated the Justice League. So opportunity, expand out the universe, in my mind⊠all these characters interact. That's why you see in The Boogeyman, we acknowledge everyone: Batman , Superman , Wonder Woman, Flash, we acknowledge everybody. There's also some Easter eggs in there, too.So that's what I meant by the resetting. Maybe resetting' wasn't a good term.only
In addition to being Johnson's DC Universe debut, âThe Boogeymanâ is also notable for marking the return of Henry Cavill's Superman. The cameo is likely to set up future showdowns between the two characters, but Hodge was completely unaware of it until he saw the film.
âThey kept that all the way under wraps, and I didn't know until maybe a day or two before the premiere,â he recently said The Boogeyman (2023) FULLMOVIE ONLINE

2023.06.09 17:04 MrArmageddonTTV I Made The Forbidden Behemoth Build More Broken (+video inside)
Hello Guardians,
First, I want to talk about a very new and unique interaction that makes Behemoths almost unkillable when played properly
. Now I previously did a post about the niche 3-Stack Behemoth strategy, which I called the âForbidden Buildâ (
HERE).
But in short, three Guardians run Behemoth, wear Hoarfrost-Z and continually create and break stasis crystals, thereby constantly farming overshields, all the while while advancing towards and then securing the zone.
But with Season of the Deep, Bungie introduced a very special weapon - the exotic Strand trace rifle from the new dungeon,
The Navigator.
The Navigatorâs exotic perk is that firing this weapon at an ally grants Woven Mail to both the user and the target - while also refunding bullets to the mag.
And thatâs when I asked myself: Is it possible for me to be more of a piece of shit than last season?
See, I discovered that Woven Mail actually STACKS with all of the Behemoth damage reduction buffs in PVP. Check out the video here:
https://youtu.be/pPshtZQFwtk Of course, as usual, I'll summarize everything below if you prefer to read.
---
Damage Reduction
Thatâs right⊠Behemoth now has THREE separate ways to reduce damage or grant damage resist, and they all stack.
- Whisper of Chains, which grants a 15% global damage resist when near a stasis crystal
- The Rime Overshield, which grants +100 HP when you have max overshield; and now
- Woven Mail which gives you 25% damage resist to body shots.
Stack these three forms of damage resist, and all of a sudden, you can literally eat a Jotunn shot to the face and shrug it off.
NB: Your Rime Overshield does not take less body damage with Woven Mail BUT Woven Mail + Whisper of Chains DR do stack once you're on normal shields/HP! You can see the first part of the video for demonstrations. â
Behemoth Buffs
Now I get it, you might be thinking⊠OK, you basically added Woven Mail to your last Behemoth Build. Thatâs clever, but is that it?
Nope. Not even close.
Behemoth was buffed across the board with Season of the Deep, and it seems like people still havenât realised yet. So letâs talk buffs.
- The Shiver Strike melee was buffed and now goes faster and travels further. This is noticeable in regular play, but it gets crazy when you pop super. The Behemoth shiver strike melee whilst in super is absurd - weâre talking Beyond Light stasis levels of movement and speed. Check it out for yourself.
- The Howl of the Storm melee is now easier to use and freezes in a wider cone, making it a reliable and absolutely nasty shutdown ability much like it was prior to the nerfs.
And lastly, Trials is no longer vanilla elimination, itâs Zone Control. In other words, not only was Behemoth directly buffed, it was also indirectly buffed because the main game mode of endgame PvP is quite literally tailor made for the Behemoth kit.
â
Build Overview
With the build that Iâm about to show you, youâll get:
- Three separate forms of damage resist
- Near infinite ability uptime
- Supersonic movement tools;
All of which, played in the Dominion game mode, where those tools have the most impact.
So letâs get to the build.
First things first, this is a TEAM BUILD - in other words, you NEED a 3-stack of Behemoths - so be sure to send this video to convince your friends to stack up together.
Also, whatâs devious about this build is that itâs VERY accessible. You do not need to be an insanely cracked PvP player to make this work. You know that saying that: âGod made man, but Samuel Colt made them equal.â
This Behemoth team build is the great equaliser, and when used properly, is so utterly broken and stifling that you will beat teams that you have no right beating.
---
Aspects and Fragments
So for the Triple Behemoth build, you need at least two other teammates running Behemoth and ALL of YOU need to equip:
- Tectonic Harvest; and
- Howl of the Storm
In terms of fragments, you will want to equip:
- Whisper of Conduction, which means that nearby stasis shards track to your position. This way you donât have to actually go and pick up your stasis shards, theyâll just float over to you and get absorbed. It also gives you a pretty nice stat boost of +10 to intellect and +10 to resilience. What a bargain.
- Whisper of Chains, which means that you will have damage resist when you are near frozen targets or a friendly Stasis crystal. It also grants you a very nice +10 to recovery.
- Whisper of Shards, which means that shattering a stasis crystal will grant improved grenade ability regeneration. Shattering more crystals will ended this effect. This fragment also grants you +10 resilience, yet another fantastic stat boost.
- Whisper of Rime, which means that collecting a stasis shard will give you a small amount of overshield which lasts 10 seconds. Collecting more shards adds to the overshield and extends the duration.
In terms of abilities, you will want to equip:
- Glacier Grenade
- Shiver Strike; and
- Rally Barricade.
---
Exotic Armor
As for exotic armour, for this specific build, you will need to use Hoarfrost Z, which you can get from farming Lost Sectors. Hoarfrost turns your regular barricade into a giant wall of stasis crystals. Remember to use the rally barricade for a lower cool-down, as thereâs no difference in the size of the wall when using rally barricade with the Hoarfrost chest piece. So itâs the same wall but with a lower cooldown than using towering barricade.
Alright, so remember how Tectonic Harvest means you create stasis shards when you break crystals? And stasis shards give you free over shield because of Whisper of Rime? And breaking those crystals gives you faster ability regen for more crystals cos of Whisper of Shards? Which in turn leads to more shards, and even more over shield?
Yeah.
See, three Behemoths together can literally produce an infinite amount of crystals by using their grenades, their howl of the storm melees and even their class ability when you use the Hoarfrost Z chest piece.
And infinite crystals means⊠you got it! INFINITE OVERSHIELDS.
But wait thereâs more⊠Those overshields also stack with the 15% damage resist you get when standing nearby any friendly crystals. AND with the new Navigator Exotic Trace rifle you can also stack a layer of Woven Mail on top of all that.
â
How To Play The Build
So this is how you play the build. You figure out where the zone is, and you basically build a gigantic fortnight palace of stasis crystals nearby and slowly creep closer and closer to the zone by expanding your sphere of stasis crystals. You literally want to be making and breaking crystals constantly, generating over shield and dominating the area that will eventually become the capture zone.
See hereâs whatâs brutal about this build and play style. It forces your opponents to engage while you are in your strongest position and they are in their weakest.
Your opponents are forced to push or the game goes to time and you capture the zone. But if they push, theyâre pushing into 3 behemoths with over shields, damage resist, and cover in the form of exploding stasis crystals.
Now when your opponents are about to engage, which usually happens when the zone becomes active for capture, get your teammate to give you all Woven Mail immediately before the fight starts which gives you:
- 200HP
- A 100 HP Overshield;
- 15% Global Damage reduction from Whisper of Chains; and
- 25% body shot damage reduction from Woven Mail.
Congratulations, you are literally unable to be 1-shot by virtually any single shotgun, fusion rifle or grenade launcher.
â
Weapons
Now, in terms of weapons, the most important thing is that ONE member of your fireteam runs The Navigator trace rifle. The Navigator doesnât really need be used in combat but rather as a way to self-buff your team before engagements.
And the nice thing about using this build is that you KNOW when the engagements are going to happen. Theyâre going to happen when the zone becomes active for capture, whether thatâs Trials or Survival.
Other than the Navigator, I recommend that everyone else uses Cerberus paired with either a Grenade Launcher or a Fusion Rifle.
Now you might be thinking, thatâs a weird combo, why those specific weapons? Well, Cerberus 1 lets you break crystals faster than any other weapon in the game and building then breaking crystals is quite literally the centerpiece of this build.
Grenade launchers are used because apart from doing huge chunk damage to the opponent, if the grenade launcher detonates next to a stasis crystal near your opponent, the stasis detonation plus the grenade launcher can basically 1-shot them. If you donât like grenade launchers, you can also use fusions to very good effect.
And Fusion rifles are excellent to use because you can literally just trade fusion shot for fusion shot with an opponent and youâll win 100% of the time. If they shoot you with a fusion, you survive because of your damage resist, but if you shoot them back, they die. Itâs like those old movies where two people duel with pistols - except in our case, weâre wearing a bullet proof vest.
---
OK guys, there's more detail/demos in the video, but I think that pretty much covers everything!
Have a good one, and I'll see you all in the Crucible,

2023.06.09 16:57 AutoModerator Watch âThe Boogeymanâ (2023) Free Online >Reddit<
Horror Movies! Here are options for downloading or watching The Boogeyman streaming the full movie online for free on 123movies & Reddit, including where to watch Stephen Kingâs horror adaptation movie at home. Is The Boogeyman 2023 available to stream? Is watching The Boogeyman on Disney Plus, HBO Max, Netflix, or Amazon Prime? Yes, we have found an authentic streaming option / service.
â€âșâ¶((>Wđąđ”đ€đ© On Reddit: The Boogeyman đđ¶đđ đđ°đ·đȘđŠ on Free Online< đđŻđ«đ°đșThe Movie)) âThe Boogeyman,â a horror-thriller from the mind of best-selling author Stephen King, opens June 2, 2023, in theaters nationwide. High school student Sadie Harper and her younger sister Sawyer are reeling from the recent death of their mother and arenât getting much support from their father, Will, a therapist who is dealing with his own pain. When a desperate patient unexpectedly shows up at their home seeking help, he leaves behind a terrifying supernatural entity that preys on families and feeds on the suffering of its victims.
The Boogeyman (2023) is the latest adaptation of the Stephen King classic. Hereâs when and where you can watch the horror flick.
Itâs not real? Keep telling yourself that! For the first time since 2022âs Firestarter, the legendary master of horror Stephen King, will have yet another one of his classic tales told with The Boogeyman. Directed by Host filmmaker Rob Savage and based on Kingâs short story of the same name, this terrifying story follows a young girl named Sawyer (Vivien Lyra Blair) as she is tormented by a malicious monster known only as âThe Boogeyman.â What first sounds like a simple case of a child being afraid of the dark to Sawyerâs sister Sadie (Sophie Thatcher) and father Will (Chris Messina) turns out to be anything but, as this childrenâs tale turns out to be very real and very dangerous.
Stephen King adaptations are infamous for their variations in quality. For every masterpiece like The Shining, Misery, and The Shawshank Redemption, thereâs an adaption less than stellar like Sleepwalkers, Maximum Overdrive, and Cell. In the case of The Boogeyman, it thankfully looks like weâre getting one of the better cases of a Stephen King story. Following its premiere at CinemaCon 2023, reactions to The Boogeyman have generally been quite positive, with Colliderâs own Chase Hutchinson describing the film as a âfrequently petrifyingâ adaptation.
The Boogeyman follows Sadie Harper and her young sister Sawyer after the recent death of their mother. Sadly, their father, Will, is not able to give them any sort of support through this as he is dealing with the death in his own way. A stranger comes knocking, claiming to need help from Will, who is a therapist, but what they allow inside their home is an evil entity.
With a strong start through decent reviews, The Boogeyman is bound to attract dedicated members of the horror film community. To learn more about how you can see Stephen Kingâs nightmare come to life, here is exactly where and how you can watch The Boogeyman.

How to Watch The Boogeyman
Thereâs been no official announcement regarding The Boogeymanâs streaming release date, though we know it will eventually be released on Disney+, rather than Netflix or HBO Max.
Since the movie was originally supposed to have a streaming release, we donât doubt it will become available on streaming services at some point, with the most likely being Hulu since that had been the plan to begin with.
That would be Hulu. Donât hold your breath on it, though! We strongly believe this is where the 20th Century Studios film will go, but this wonât be for a couple of months (or more) after the movieâs theatrical release. As soon as we learn more details, weâll update you!

When Will The Boogeyman Be On Streaming?
While no official streaming plans have been released by 20th Century Studios as of yet, given the recent release patterns of other films under the ownership of The Walt Disney Company, we can likely expect to see The Boogeyman arrive on streaming no more than ninety days after its theatrical release. Given that the horror film is a 20th Century Studios production and monsters eating children isnât exactly âHappiest Place on Earthâ material, The Boogeyman will likely be making its streaming home on Hulu rather than Disney+ (at least, for now).
Before we get into the various pricing plans for Hulu, we should also mention that The Walt Disney Company is confirmed to be planning a merge between Disney+ and Hulu, effectively putting all the massive media conglomerateâs content under one roof by the end of the year 2023. No specific date for this merger has been given yet, but the company has already begun purging their least profitable content to prepare for the transition. With that information in mind, the following subscription options for Hulu may not be valid for long, so be sure to be cognizant of that before signing up.
As of now, Hulu has two subscription plans: an ad-supported and ad-free plan. The ad-supported option offers most of Huluâs streaming library with limited ads for $7.99 USD per month or $79.99 USD per year. The ad-free option removes most ads for a higher price of $14.99 USD per month. There are also the Disney Bundle options, including Disney+ and/or ESPN+ in addition to Hulu, but these will likely be reworked or removed entirely in the coming months with the upcoming merger.

Is The Boogeyman on Netflix?
The Boogeyman isnât currently available on Netflix, but you can catch it in theaters from June 2, 2023.
However, there is a great selection of Netflix horror movies, so youâll still be able to find plenty to be scared of on the platform. And if you donât currently have the service, weâve got all you need to know about the Netflix price.

Will The Boogeyman Be On HBO Max?
No, The Boogeyman will not be on HBO Max since itâs not a Universal Pictures movie. Last year, the company released its films in theaters and on the streamer on the same day. However, they now allow a 45-day window between the theatrical release and the streaming release.

Is The Boogeyman on Disney Plus?
The Boogeyman isnât currently available on Disney Plus, given that itâs showing exclusively in theaters for now.
Itâs also probably not going to end up on there, since Disney Plus isnât well-known for its horror catalog. That said, it may end up being the option for UK subscribers since Hulu and Disney content often merge for UK-based viewers. There are also plenty of Disney Plus movies and Disney Plus shows you can get stuck into otherwise.

Is The Boogeyman on Prime Video?
The Boogeyman isnât available to watch on Prime Video right now, but weâll let you know if it does end up getting distribution there. If youâd like to see what else Prime has to offer, you can sign up for a free trial subscription here.

Is The Boogeyman Available On Hulu?
Viewers are saying that they want to view the new horror movie The Boogeyman on Hulu. Unfortunately, this is not possible since Hulu currently does not offer any of the free episodes of this series streaming at this time. It will be exclusive to the MTV channel, which you get by subscribing to cable or satellite TV services. You will not be able to watch it on Hulu or any other free streaming service.

2023.06.09 16:40 tfti2255 I (M26) met a girl (23F) at church, just being really friendly or into me?
I will preface this by normally being 99% sure this girl would be into me but whenever something like school, work or church is involved I get a bit skittish because I would have to see them every week after lol. Because she's a regular member of our church, I'm really unsure of whether she's just being really welcoming so I feel comfortable because I mentioned i'm newer to the city and that I didn't have too many good friends. Another factor is that we are both minorities (Korean) and one of my friends said its possible that's another reason why she's also being really friendly as there aren't too many who live around us. I've also not dated anyone since the end of college because I've been moving around a lot, which really contributes to my nervousness and uncertainty about the situation.
I've been going to this smaller church for a few weeks and apparently she's a regular member for years but had been out since this past Sunday. There was a barbeque happening afterwards until around 7 and while everyone was eating and playing volleyball and such, we sat out and just talked for a few hours with her and another one of her friends. Seemed like the vibes were good so I asked her for her socials. She mentioned she went to a local gym so I dmed her the next day asking her for details and it was just a short conversation, but then she ended up double texting me around nighttime about a topic we talked about during the bbq. I gave her my number and we've been talking every day since, anywhere from 2-4 hours a day. The conversations at night would always be me saying for her to let me know about something, such as if she were gonna be free the next day and she has been messaging me first around midday and just leading it into a conversation, where we would text intermittently while at work then nonstop around dinner til we both sleep. We met in person yesterday to gym together, then ended up walking to a couple cafes for a few hours just talking until I had to leave for another scheduled dinner. We were supposed to have a dinner today because I'm flying out of state until next week but she ended up having to reschedule for next week which was a huge bummer for me.
While that all sounds great, there's a few things making me apprehensive. For one, I just started attending the church just a few weeks ago. I didn't intend on going just to meet women, but the situation just sort of turned out and I really don't wanna look like the dude who just strolled in to "pick up chicks" and leave. I've been told a lot have the looks of a fuckboy which really doesn't help which is why I'm being cautious and it's a good community that I don't wanna start off on the wrong foot. Because of that, I would really want to be 100% sure before I start actively pursuing this, as I tend to get consumed kinda quickly by crushes and I wouldn't want myself to go through that for someone I misinterpreted feelings from. I also threw out some flirting fishing lines, like when mentioning upcoming movies or shows how I would love to watch them but didn't have anyone to watch with or when talking about drinking or smoking how it would be nicer to smoke with someone else but never really get the response I'm used to lol. She also brought up a her exes a couple times in passing which I felt normally wasn't an amazing sign (nothing crazy, just how we bumped into him at church and a couple funny stories).
However, I can't ignore how it feels like we're literally texting nonstop past 7 or 8 and she instantly replies and our conversations are deep and meaningful. We're both fit and fairly attractive mid 20s Koreans. Our meeting on Wednesday in person was a 1-on-1 at the gym where we saw a couple of our church friends but she insisted that we just work out with each other and didn't mind being seen working out together like that, and the cafes afterwards really felt like a mini-date though neither of us said it was and I was too nervous to go for a hand hold or anything like that because at that point I've known her for literally 3 days. She asks me about things normally I would associate with probing a relationship, like our astrology compatibility/mbti types etc, and has asked about my height (even though we've hung out in person twice by then lol).
What do you think of the situation, and also how would you proceed? Remember that we've known each other since literally just this sunday, and I don't wanna make it look like a hit and run at church but at the same time if there is something there then I don't want to just let it fizzle out because at this point in my life I'm hoping to settle down with someone.

2023.06.09 16:38 Nodicwallartcanvas How to Decorate a Large Wall Art in The Living Room
| Decorating a large wall art in the living room can be both exciting and challenging. It presents an opportunity to create a stunning focal point that sets the tone for the entire space. One option is to use oversized artwork or a large tapestry that commands attention. This can be a striking painting, a scenic photograph, or a vibrant abstract piece. Another idea is to create a wall of mirrors in different shapes and sizes. https://nordicwallcanvas.com/koi-fish-painting-original-feng-shui-framed-wall-art-red-orange-koi-light-blue-abstract-art-river-painting-large-textured-art/ For those who prefer a minimalist approach, consider a single, large-scale statement piece that captures the essence of your style. This could be a metal wall sculpture, a carved wooden panel, or even a decorative textile. Donât forget the power of greenery. Install floating shelves or wall-mounted planters to bring nature indoors and add a touch of freshness to the space. Weâve found great images to illustrate these ideas. Take a look and see if something sparks your interior imagination. Decorating Your Large Living Room Wall If youâre fortunate enough to have a living room thatâs larger than 15âČ x 20âČ, then chances are youâve got at least one big wall. But what should you do with a large living room wall? Weâve brought together a whole bunch of ideas for you to consider as you plan your wall decor. A Giant Painting One thing about a large wall is it gives you the ability to showcase one fantastic painting. Whatever your style, whether it be abstract or representational, a large wall is almost like a blank canvas for the perfect large-scale art. https://nordicwallcanvas.com/retro-classic-abstract-town-canvas-poster-and-prints-painting-sea-adventure-giant-shark-picture-wall-art-living-room-home-deco You may even choose to hang a large-scale painting that perfectly goes with all of the color tones youâve selected for your interior. In this case, a large abstract in shades of sage and white is the perfect complement to this natural-toned roomâs decor. A giant painting serves as an awe-inspiring centerpiece for any living room. Its grand scale captivates the attention and adds a dramatic focal point to the space. Whether itâs an abstract masterpiece, a breathtaking landscape, or a vibrant contemporary piece, a giant painting injects personality and artistic flair into your living room. It commands attention and sparks conversation, creating a visually stunning atmosphere. A Collection Of Plants If you love indoor plants, why not hang a series of floating shelves on your wall and fill them with gorgeous succulents or tropical plants. Match your planters to your furniture decor for a truly cohesive look. A set of floating shelves, like this one, bought in multiples will enable the perfect plant arrangement for the large living room wall. Donât limit vertical gardens to outdoors. This super cool vertically grown grass hangs in frames above the living room sofa. An Eclectic Collection An eclectic collection in your living room is an opportunity to showcase your unique style and personality. Curate a mix of art, decor, and personal mementos that speak to your interests and experiences. From vintage finds to modern accents, an eclectic collection adds visual interest and tells a story. Combine different textures, colors, and patterns to create a dynamic and vibrant display. One way to showcase your style is to hang an assortment of items you love. Here two prints and a shelf arrangement with plants show off the homeownerâs natural vibe. This urban space combines the use of bold graphics, and useful items turned art. Like the bicycle hanging in front of a large propped painting. Mirrors On A Large Living Room Wall Mirrors are a gorgeous way to reflect the room around you. This decadent, luxurious living room in sultry greys, silvers, and black utilizes a large-scale mirror above the mantel as decor. Matching trim on the wall repeats the mirrorâs pattern as a design element. This creates comfort in such a large room. https://nordicwallcanvas.com/10w-12w-18w-indoor-wall-lamp-simple-modern-style-home-decoration-led-for-bedroom-living-room-sconces-mirror-light/ This room, with its extraordinarily high vaulted ceiling, uses a sizeable black-framed mirror above the fireplace to draw the eye up while reflecting the nature outdoors. The mirror is a natural choice for this space. Additionally, mirrors can visually expand the dimensions of a room, making it appear larger than it actually is. By selecting mirrors in different shapes and sizes, you can create a visually interesting arrangement that adds depth and dimension to the living room. Mirrors on a large living room wall are a stylish and practical choice that enhances the aesthetics and functionality of the space. Get A Giant-Sized Television If you love watching the game or your favorite movies on a larger-than-life screen, why not use your living room wall? This beautiful space fills an entire wall for entertainment. Large loft windows take up the adjacent wall. Getting a giant-sized television is an exhilarating way to elevate your living room entertainment experience. With advancements in technology, larger televisions offer immersive visuals and a cinematic feel. Enjoy your favorite movies, TV shows, and sports events with exceptional clarity and vibrant colors. The expansive display creates a focal point, transforming your living room into a home theater. Gather friends and family for an unforgettable viewing experience. With a giant-sized television, you can bring the excitement of the big screen right into your living room, making it the ultimate entertainment hub. Another super interesting idea utilizes the beauty of the tree branch as wall art. This piece is 80âł x 80,â which means it has the heft to command an entire wall. Tree branches used as wall decor bring a touch of nature and rustic charm to any living space. These organic elements can be displayed as standalone pieces or creatively arranged to form unique wall installations. With their intricate patterns and natural textures, tree branches add visual interest and create a sense of connection with the outdoors. https://nordicwallcanvas.com/ashou-anime-scenery-tapestry-wall-hanging-aesthetic-tapestry-decoration-home-bedroom-wall-cloth-college-dorm-tapestry-wall-deco They can be painted, adorned with fairy lights, or combined with other decorative items to create a personalized and whimsical display. Tree branches as wall decor offer an eco-friendly and budget-friendly option to infuse your living room with a natural and artistic vibe. We hope these ideas have given you food for thought. Whether you want to buy something off the shelf, or cast about for something uniquely you, decorating a large wall is lucky. There are fun options. Decide on the style or vibe you want, then pick the right choice for that, and your budget. But most of all, have fun on the journey. submitted by Nodicwallartcanvas to u/Nodicwallartcanvas [link] [comments] |
2023.06.09 16:32 A_Common_Relic Why are people so much more comfortable with spoiling ATSV?
Most movies that come out in theaters, you don't see that many memes or anything about it for at least two weeks. But since like four days after the movie came out, Instagram and tiktok and stuff have been filled with plot points from the movie. Why is caution thrown out the window this time?

2023.06.09 16:30 Spectral42 Something strange is happening in LittleBrooke. Whatever you do, stay away.
If youâre reading this I am begging you to believe me. Especially if you have children. My name is Leon and I have been investigating strange disappearances for four years. I am not an official investigator or a journalist. Before I started this whole thing I did not believe in ghosts or the paranormal. For me to believe in something I had to see it with my own two eyes! Everything had to be factual and everything had an explanation.
At least this is what I used to believe until my wife was murdered four years ago. They found her at work completely skinless. She was drained of blood and was missing all of her nails. They told me the precision required to accomplish this was not heard of yet. I waited months for answers and they never came, so I decided to go get them myself. I had no idea where to start or who to speak to so I went back to the store to try and dig up as much information as I could find.
Her manager eventually told me that she had gotten into a fight with a customer that day and that he assumed she went home on time. When her body was found in the employee break room he was shocked. He had no idea she was still in the building. He said he told me exactly what he told the police. I asked him if there was any footage of the man she was arguing with but he told me the security cameras were not working that day. I vividly remember wanting to punch this guy in his damn face. He was no help and I was determined to solve my wife's murder.
I ended up searching for the guy for months. I asked every one of her coworkers if they saw the argument and a couple of times I even had a run-in with the cops. They insisted that I should let them do their jobs and that they had everything handled. There was no chance I was going to listen to them. I had to take time off from my investigation to attend her funeral and make sure I got all of the preparations right. In hindsight, I was not growing properly and I really should've taken some time to reassess.
So fast forward another month and I finally get a lead. Something I assumed the cops didn't have, this meant I could finally get some answers before being stonewalled again. I ended up finding this guy, Will Brookes at a fucken motel off of the highway about three miles from where my wife worked. I waited for two days before I saw him leave his room to get ice. Once I knew what room to find him in I knocked until he opened the door. He was rightfully pissed but not as pissed as I was. It took every ounce of willpower in my body to not kill him on the spot.
âWhy did you kill my wife?!â I snapped as I forced myself into the room and slammed the door behind me. He looked shocked.
âI did not kill her!â He screamed and tried to move around me. So I grabbed him by his shirt and slammed him into the wall next to the tv. This guy was not very heavy and not very strong. At that moment I was wondering how he could kill anyone.
âYou were the last person to be seen with her alive!â I barked. I wanted to push his body through the wall. I wanted to crush him.
âI was bringing her the papers she requested for a job offer she accepted in a place called LittleBrooke!â The man said. He was shaking so I put him down and pushed him to the side. âShow me the papers,â I demanded. My wife had told me twice that she had gotten a new job offer. I was extremely excited! I work from home and would be happy to live wherever she wanted. All she had to do was say the word and we couldâve left as soon as possible. But she never made it home to tell me the news.
I watched as the shaking man handed me a stack of papers and even a suitcase. âHere, take it and please leave me alone!â He shouted. âOkay.â I left the motel room and went right to my car. I put everything on the passenger seat and went home. Once I got there I sobbed in the driveway for over an hour before finally getting out and heading inside. I never got to see her body and I never got to say goodbye. Being in this house felt like I was walking into a damn shallow grave of sorts.
I went right to the master bedroom and packed up as many clothes as I could. I even took some of her favorite items, I donât know why. I took a couple of pillows and two blankets, and after that, I went around to search the rest of the house. Once I had finished in the master bedroom I went and grabbed all my items from the bathroom. After that, I went into the nursery. We were planning on trying to have a baby once she got her new job. I looked around the nursery and took some stuffed animals and blankets, nothing too crazy. I also made sure to grab our family photo album. Finally, I made sure to grab all of the savings from the jar we had plus anything I kept in the safe. I also made sure to grab our wedding video and once I had everything I thought I could need I left the house. On my way out I made sure to tell the building goodbye.
Once I got back into my car I decided to drive a bit. No way in hell was I going to the same motel as that guy so I drove until I hit a hotel far enough away from my house. I did not end up checking in though. Once I got close enough I backed up and just kept driving. I eventually hit a truck stop after a couple of hours and decided to rest my eyes for a while. I was exhausted and there were way too many questions rushing through my head. I knew if I kept driving in that state I would probably crash or something.
After sleeping for four hours I decided it was time to look through the papers and figure out what I was going to do next. I took the first paper from the stack and started to read it. For the sake of time here I will only tell you guys what I found that was interesting.
Paper One: You have been accepted to work as a store manager! Please review your employee packet for more information.
So as I am going over this first paper a couple of things stick out to me. Whoever wrote this was trying not to be specific. The whole paper was one big announcement for a new store opening up in a place called LittleBrooke. There was no state mentioned anywhere on this paper, I would later find out that this place was supposed to be in Washington D.C.
I decided to dig around and eventually found the employee packet. She accepted a job at a mega-store called BrightMarketZ. I thought it was a pretty weird name but what stood out to me was what they were offering to pay her. $22.00 an hour! I couldn't believe it. No wonder she said yes and didnât bother to ask any questions.
Paper Twenty: To find LittleBrooke please enter [REDACTED] into your GPS device. You will be staying inside apartment 307. All rent for your first month in LittleBrooke is covered by your employer. Please note that all apartments are two-bedroom only. If you have a larger household please speak to Sydney May at Town Hall for bigger accommodations.
After reading this I decided to just go to LittleBrooke and get answers. I was assuming that I would find out what the hell happened if I just went. I wanted to know what my wife died for and I wanted to know why this was some big secret in the first place. I went back to bed and as soon as the sun came up I put the information into my GPS and headed for LittleBrooke.
Year One in LittleBrooke
It took me three weeks to reach LittleBrooke and I could tell that something was wrong the moment I found the town. If I wasn't so damn desperate for answers I would've turned around as soon as I saw the library. The building itself wasn't big but the two huge lions on either side of the staircase gave me the creeps.
After that I passed a mechanic, the whole place looked run down as hell. There wasn't a single car to be seen but the sign said open. The man standing outside of the building waved to me so I gave him a slow wave back. He looked weird. At the time I couldnât place my finger on why but now I know itâs because he was not human.
The theater was kind of cool to look at in a vintage kind of way. They were not showing anything when I drove by and I made the decision early on to stay out of the theater altogether. After the theater, I saw a small building that said LittleBrooke Press. If anything else I figured I could write for the paper.
As I approached the apartment building a woman was standing outside. Her face was weird as hell. It looked like she had far too much plastic surgery like her face was threatening to pop at any moment. âHi, can I help you?â she asked me. Her voice was shrill, it was gross to even hear her speak. It sounded like she was putting on a fake voice just to speak to me. âHi, my wife accepted a job offer. Unfortunately, she has passed away. I would still like to claim the apartment left to us. I can work at any place that currently has an opening.â I offered.
âLittleBrooke Press has space for two more writers!â She smiled and handed me the keys to the apartment. She never asked my name and she knew exactly where I wanted to go. I thought it was weird but I didnât argue. Instead, I took the keys and thanked her. I spent that whole day getting settled into the new apartment. A couple of things, the front door had four different locks on it. I thought that was pretty weird. I also did not see or hear any other people until my third night in the apartment. I called the LittleBrooke Press about a potential job and they told me to email my submissions. There was no need for me to come in person and honestly, I liked this deal a lot.
For the first few months, I spent my time writing about whatever came to my mind. After that, I would send it in and get my money back. The editor never told me what to do and they never requested anything. It was sweet. As December rolled around I could feel myself slipping into a seasonal depression. At that point, I had made no progress in any of my investigations. I did not know the town well enough and frankly, I felt like I was wasting my time. That night I decided to check out the local bar. It was pretty hidden, you had to drive further into LittleBrooke to find it. Once I got there I was shocked! The place was packed. I sat down at the bar and ordered a drink.
The bartender was hot as hell, too hot. She was so even looking so perfectly symmetrical that it made me extremely uncomfortable. There wasnât a single hair out of place. âSo are you new in town?â She asked me. âYeah, I just got here a couple of months ago. My now-deceased wife accepted a job offer here.â I said bluntly and dryly. I wanted to finish my drink and go. It was like the bones in my body were screaming at me to leave. The woman looked shocked. âTell me, does that happen often? Do people accept a job offer in LittleBrooke and turn up dead a couple of days later?â I hissed. It was a genuine question but she did not take it too kindly. She took my drink from my hands and told me to leave.
As I made my way back to my car I could hear someone coming up from behind me. I turned around as fast as possible and had to take three steps back. It was the bartender, but she did not look the same. Half of her face was weighed down like she had no bones at all. Her eyes were bulging out of her head. She gurgled at me. âYou need to leave!â She finally snapped and swung her arm in my direction. I moved back before she could hit me. As her hand hit my car window it shattered like it was made of ice. I watched as her arm popped and clicked. I could see it slowly getting longer. Before I knew it her arm was dragging on the pavement! She lunged at me so I punched her in her stomach. She gurgled again and sunk her teeth into my jacket. I screamed for help as we hit the pavement. She was trying fucken eat me! I grabbed her by her hair and threw her backward as hard as I could. As I scrambled to my feet and looked at her I screamed again. Her skin was pulled back. Now hugging the bones on her face. Her eyes were completely exposed! I turned and dove into my car as fast as I could. I slammed the door behind me and sped out of the parking lot like a bat out of hell.
The next morning I received a letter under my door. âSorry, you had problems last night! Please accept our sincerest apologies.â -Mayor Brookes. There was $300 included with the letter. Now, I thought about leaving but decided I had to stay. Something was going on here and I had to find out what. I removed my jacket to see if the woman had injured me, she didn't but the experience was still terrifying. For the first time in a very long time, I was scared. But I also felt closer to the truth than I have ever been before.
Year Two in LittleBrooke
I spent all of January writing about the women who attacked me. I even contacted the police. I quickly learned that the police were going to be completely useless. My editor never sent the story back so I had assumed it was published.
At the end of the month, I left to shop for some supplies. Let me tell you, the grocery store in LittleBrooke is something else. They donât have any brands youâve ever heard of and at first, that drove me nuts. However, I quickly came to fall in love with the food here. It was comforting to have something to enjoy. Like always, I made sure to shop for two to three months at a time. Shopping was easy, I used the self-checkout to make sure I didnât have to speak to anyone.
Once I got home I put everything away and decided to look around the apartment building. My whole floor started with 301 and went all the way to 310. The first floor was 501 to 509. There was a technical second floor but none of the doors were labeled. It looked like someone was renovating the place.
I got to see some of my neighbors too. An older woman, two men, and I were living next door to a lady the whole time. I had never seen or heard from these people before. It seemed like everyone wanted to keep to themselves too. I wanted to try and talk to someone but every time I approached them they turned and walked away. For what it's worth they looked completely normal.
So I left the apartment building and ventured around the property. There were no other apartments anywhere close to the one I was staying at, or so I thought until I found one about thirty minutes away. It was so out of the way you wouldn't find it unless you were looking. Against my better judgment, I opened the doors to the building and walked right inside. The place smelled like rust and soot.
I went to explore the first floor and was shocked to find blood trails on the floor and the ceiling. I followed the trail and made sure to look at the numbers on each door. This floor was numbered 1-10. Most of the doors were locked and I wasnât going to try and knock anything down. I opened the door to apartment 10 and walked right inside. There was just enough light from the sun to illuminate the place. It looked like the whole place had been ransacked. I checked the tables and cabinets before heading into the bedroom. I searched the dresser and under the pillows before finally checking under the bed. When I looked under I spotted a black box. I grabbed it and that is when I got the feeling again. The hairs on the back of my neck stood up and I felt something sharp dig into my shoulders.
I screamed as loudly as I could, my face slammed off of the carpet and I clenched the box with one hand. Before I could figure out what the hell was happening I was tossed backward. I went into the bedroom door and rolled a couple of times until I reached the torn-up couch. I slowly lifted my head and to my horror what I was looking at was way too far from human to be real.
It looked like a dog ape thing. It was mostly skinless aside from some skin on its torso and face. The creature had thick, long claws and was standing on its hind legs. It barked at me. Its fangs were huge! I quickly scrambled to my feet and rushed out of the door as fast as possible. I could feel the blood running down my back. Never once did I consider letting this box go.
âHelp!â I screamed as I burst through the apartment complex doors and started to run back to the main road. My heart was pounding, I could feel my chest getting tighter with each step. I could hear the beast behind me, it was screeching. I thought I was going to die for sure, there was no way I could continue to outrun this beast. Thatâs when I heard a car and before I knew it I could see it! A woman was waving me over, she was just up ahead! I had to push a little harder. I had to be just a little stronger.
When I felt the embrace of the car door I ripped it open and dove inside. She sped away and I looked out of the window. The beast did not follow us any further. âAre you insane!â She snapped at me. Thatâs the last thing I remember before passing out.
When I woke up I was laying on my stomach on an extremely comfortable couch. I could smell someone making pasta with meat sauce. My stomach was going insane. Everything hurt though, especially my back and my left side. I figured I had hurt my side when I was tossed across the room.
At this point, I did not dive into the box yet. I could barely move. âHi.â I heard a woman say from the kitchen. âThank you,â I replied before trying to sit up. I was so concerned that this woman would be another monster. When I saw her though I knew she was normal. She didn't look so damn perfect and that was a breath of fresh air.
âWhat's your name?â She asked me as I watched her prepare two bowls of food.
âLeon,â I said before closing my eyes. âYou heard me screaming?â I asked her seriously.
âI did. Iâm pretty sure everyone in our building did. You got hurt pretty badly, I did my best to patch you up.â She paused and laughed. âMy name is Ashley.â
So I ended up crashing at her place. During this time I tried to focus on recovering. Sleeping became hell, I was having constant nightmares. I also spent a lot of time working on articles. I ended up giving Ash the keys to my apartment so she could get my laptop. It was a big move to trust anyone here but I am glad I did.
Year Three and Four in LittleBrooke
During my recovery, I spent most of my time writing. I wanted to write about everything I have seen and experienced. I had a lot of questions and way too much time with my thoughts. Ash and I got to know each other too.
I told her about how my wife had died mysteriously. I eventually opened up about her being skinned and drained of her blood. Ash told me she had come to LittleBrooke with her older sister. Her sister went to work one day and never came back. She was working at the theater. Ash had told me that she was stuck here, she didnât feel right leaving with her sister still missing. Every time she would try the cops would meet her at the town line.
It was during this time that we both shared that we had never seen a police station. We talked about the monsters too. Her first run-in with one was at the grocery store. I told her about what happened to me at the bar. She told me that she heard rumors of the beast living beyond the apartments. The first time she saw it was when it was attacking me.
As I started to recover more we discussed a couple of things. First, the neighbors here suck. She could hear me screaming and came to help but no one else did. Second, neither of us has seen any families since we moved here. It was at this point I decided I wanted to leave and I offered to take her with me. We could both get out come hell or high water. She agreed but there was something I had to do first.
I showed her the box I had taken from the apartment.
âYou almost died for a box?â Ash asked me. âYes,â I said seriously.
I opened it and blinked. I found a picture of a girl with black hair and bright green eyes. It read, Stephanie. I found a missing persons report too. This girl had been missing a year before I got here. I decided that my last article would be about her. I had written about a couple of missing people before this. For example, the old lady in our building vanished and her apartment was rented out two days later.
I also found a badge inside the box. It read F.O.P.P. and there was a name! Jack Bridges. We tried to look up the organization's name but we came up empty-handed. I ended up writing the story about Stephanie and the next day Ash and I got packing. We decided to take my car since the cops know what hers looks like. I packed up the essentials all over again and we piled into the car. âWe should check the other direction. Before we leave.â I suggested. Ash knew about the bar already but neither of us knew what was beyond that point: This suggested changed the course of our lives forever.
So we started driving in the other direction. We passed the bar where the woman had tried to eat me, we passed a convenience store I didnât know this town had and we just kept driving. Eventually, I could hear Ash speaking to me, âHoly shit! The police station.â she pointed out. I couldnât believe it either. I did not stop driving though but I wish I did.
Eventually, we saw a sign that read, LittleBrooke High. Go Bears!
I started to slow down a bit until the school was in view. The place looked run down as hell. There were holes in the walls and leaves growing up the side of the building. The parking lot was massive and full of buses. I pulled the car into the parking lot and told Ash to get into the driver's seat.
âYouâre not serious?â She asked me. I could tell she wanted to go but I said, âThis is it! This is the last place of note in this fucken town. Just take the wheel and I will be right back.â I said as I jumped out of the car and went to look around.
As I approached one of the buses I grabbed the doors, they were already open a crack. I pulled them open and was hit with a horrible stench. I had to step back and puke and no I am not going to describe what I saw in that fucken bus. At that point, I decided I had seen enough and it was time to fucken go.
âHelp!â I heard someone cry from a couple of buses over. âPlease!â I heard again. I wanted to slap myself because I knew better. I had already decided it was time to leave but I went to investigate anyway. I went to the bus and pulled the doors open. It smelled like stale piss and blood. âBack here!â A girl screamed out to me. I made my way to the back of the bus, stepping on school jackets and over backpacks. That is where I found them. Two teenagers are tied to the leg of a bus seat. They looked horrible, caking in blood and sweat. They were both injured. âStephanie?!â I exclaimed as I bent over to free them. I recognized her face the moment I saw it.
âCan you move? I asked the blonde girl.â As I started to let her go. âEverything hurts.â She told me. I opened the emergency exit and called for Ash to pull the car over. It took her a second to hear me but she came as fast as possible. âI am going to get you guys in the car and we are going to get out of here, okay?â I told them. I wanted to tell them everything was going to be okay, but I couldn't. It felt like that would be a huge lie.
Ash stepped out of the car and helped get the girls into the backseat. As I stopped to look around I could feel the bus shift in weight. I turned around and inhaled sharply. Standing before me was a creature wearing a jacket that said COACH on it. He looked sickly, and pale, and his veins were protruding from his face and hands. As he ran at me I jumped out of the emergency exit door just in time to feel something slam off of the back of my head. I looked down to see a barbed football. I could feel blood trickling down my neck, I stumbled forward and felt a hand grab my arm. Ash was shoving me into the car. She slid over me, closed the passenger door, and backed the car up. I thought she was moving like lightning.
At this point, everyone was screaming. My heart was threatening to jump out of my fucken chest. I was so sure we were all going to die here, just like everyone else I had seen on the buses. But no, Ash sped out of the parking lot. The coach chased us to the school limits but for some reason, he did not follow us anymore.
I know we should've stopped to see if the kids could find their parents but we didn't. Instead, Ash just kept driving. Eventually, we could hear the cops behind us but that did not stop her. It took us six hours to finally see the You Are New Leaving LittleBrooke sign! I couldnât believe it. This place was not that big at all.
So listen, if youâre invited to take a job in LittleBrooke. Donât take it. Itâs not worth your life.

Itâs not worth your
life.

2023.06.09 16:27 Whokneewankenobi Santa Fe movie culture
Weâre a couple in our Mid and late 20âs. Personally I love going to the movies, have since I was young. Iâd say I watch too many movies and have taken deep dives into âSo bad itâs goodâ territory countless times. The Room and Troll 2 were peak. Other than that I try to make it to most major releases.
How is the general Movie going experience?
Iâm not a fan of commentary during films, I try to pick theaters or times that arenât generally packed. Really like ordering ahead of time online.
Does Santa Fe show out say for Marvel films? Is there an underground film scene?
Thanks ahead of time.

2023.06.09 16:08 Cookies_n_Cream33 Need help reading into the situation.
Yesterday, I went out with someone I met on the Hinge app. We went to watch a movie together and ate afterwards. We are around the same age (Iâm 22 and heâs 21) and weâre both college students entering our senior year.
The day of the movie he messaged good morning to me and we talked for a little bit. When I got to theatre I saw him and we both greeted each other. We made our way to the seats and he wanted to buy me something but I kept saying I was alright because the lines were super long and if we both went, no one would watch our stuff/potentially take our seats. So while sitting down, he asked me about my job and I explained. He said I was a sweetheart and also said I smelled good as well. I think we just watched the movie after this.
After the movie, he was super stunned (he really enjoyed it) and we talked about it for a bit as well as what I enjoyed about the movie. So I think atp, we were heading to a food court at a mall nearby.
Once we got to the food court, he saw something he wanted and I agreed to get it as well. He paid for the food we ordered and found a seat. Now, at this point there was some silence between us. I jokingly asked if it was still the movie and he nodded yes. After we sat down, I started eating but he didnât like the food he ate. I felt bad and there wasnât anything else around he wanted either. There was still a lot of silence even though I talked a little about where I go to school (which he asked me about) and the journey to where I am now. He said I was smart smart and then asked if I had any questions for him. The only question I asked was about his job and I said I was really impressed by him. Other questions didnât come to my mind even though I was trying to think of some. We also talked about music tastes for a bit, which I blanked a little on, and then anime. He then wanted to go home and I agreed. He wanted to drop me at my bus stop I got lost a little so we just hugged goodbye.
After I got home, he texted me saying that he enjoyed our movie date and thanks with a thumbs up emoji. I responded by saying that I also enjoyed it and if he was still interested in going out with me and where this goes to let me know. He reacted with a thumbs up emoji.
Honestly, I feel like heâs not that interested in me because there was a lot of silence and his message after I got home. I canât really pinpoint it but I felt like he was way more interested in the movie than talking to me. But then also feel like I could be reading him wrong.
What I can say is, whichever girl he really likes and wants to be serious with is very lucky.

2023.06.09 16:00 QuetzalNightShade16 Found out my boyfriend was planning to break up with me but hasnât done it yet
I (25 F) saw a chat from my boyfriend (38 M) to his mom that he was planning on breaking up with me today.
for context, he is going through a depressive episode since his abusive grandmother came back to live with them for a week. since then he refused to leave his room in protest of this. We havenât seen each other throughout the week and i know that it has been eating through his sanity. He was saying to me that it was better if they just left him to die when he tried taking his own life a couple of years ago (before we met) and i said that i was uncomfortable talking about his death since we were making plans for the future. He became quite after that and we made plans to see each other this afternoon. He let me borrow his phone while since we were gonna order food and i saw that his messenger chat with his mom was still left open and i saw that chat.
He said that he wanted to break up with me since he thought that he was a burden to me and that his outbursts are stressing me out. his mom dissuaded him. he then proceeded to say that we were gonna meet today and it was fun while it lasted.
I spent the whole day with him like nothing was wrong and we watched movies the whole day, we talked out the problem with his grandmother and cleared out that there was no problem between the 2 of us. but i didnât bring up the chat that i saw.
i just got home and i dont know what to do. I feel weird, should i bring it up?

2023.06.09 15:55 AugustusKiraClover Translation of recent interview with Gakuto Kajiwara (Asta's VA) and Nobunaga Shimazaki (Yuno's VA)
| PS: I used DeepL so there might some errors here and there, I'll link the original blog at the end. Photo by Kounosuke Yoshino, Animedia magazine When the film adaptation was announced, there was a huge response from fans. How did you two feel about it? Gaku: This is the first time that a work I have appeared in has been made into a movie, and I was really happy when I heard that it was going to be made into a movie. Actually, one of my goals was to see my work on the big screen in a movie theater with good sound. That came true with my first starring role in a Black Clover film... I was very excited! Nobu: I am honestly happy as well, I was feeling very sad when the TV anime series, which had been running for three and a half years, came to an end. I am very happy to be able to be involved in Black Clover again as a voice actor. However, the initial report only said that "a movie will be made," so I was a little worried that Yuno might not be in the movie (laughs). I was a little bit worried (laughs). I am glad that he was able to play an active role! In the film, an original story that does not exist in the original story unfolds. What was your impression when you read the script? Gaku: I was looking forward to acting in the film, because while it retains the "Black Clover" style of the original work and the TV anime series, the battle scenes are more epic and the themes dealt with are larger than ever in a theatre production. I felt that the story of Asta having to fight against the "magic emperor" that he has been striving for, the conflict of having to defeat what he has been striving for, and the clash of justice between the two sides, made it an appropriate story to depict in a movie. Nobu: The story, the production, and the voice actors are so gorgeous. There are four magical emperors that Asta and Yuno have been striving for! The stronger the opponent, the more the challenger shines, and the more desperate the challenger is, the stronger the members of the magic emperor become. When I read the script, I hoped that we, as actors, would be able to create such a synergy and enhance each other's performance. In relation to Asta and Yuno, who both aspire to become "magical emperors," what do you both aspire to be as voice actors in the future? Nobu: I want to be an actor who people can look up to for my vocal expression and acting, but I also want to be someone who can provide something better for the work in other areas. I know this may sound extreme, but even if you are a good actor, it would be a disaster if there were people around you who would harm others in the field. I want to be an actor who expresses himself well in front of the microphone, but who also has a positive impact on the work. Gaku: I think so too. I want to be someone who makes people think, "This person makes the play easier to perform. Of course, I want to be able to play a role in the play, but I also want to be a cog in the wheel of the production in that aspect. Were there any such people at the "Black Clover" site? Gaku: The "Black Clover" site was amazing! It seemed like almost everyone was like that. Nobu: Yes! They were all like that. There were many senior staff who set an example for us, saying, "This is the kind of person who will take charge of the work," so they became our goals as well. Gaku: At the beginning of the project, I was under a lot of pressure as my first starring role, and I made a lot of mistakes, but I never once felt that it was difficult to do. The seniors created such an atmosphere for us. Any seniors who have been particularly helpful to you? Gaku: That would be Nobunaga-san. We had been recording together since the TV animation started, and he took me out to dinner afterwards. At the time, I was really worried about my work, but Nobunaga-san's advice helped me feel better. Also, Mr. Jun Fukuyama (who played the role of Finlal) supported me on the technical side. I often had to stay behind to record, and he was always behind me, teaching me so much, from the basics to emotional expression. He is my greatest "master. Shimazaki: How about Suwabe-san (played by Junichi Suwabe as Yami Squehiro)? As a junior member of the office, he seemed to care about you a lot. Kajiwara: Suwabe-san is the type of person who speaks with his actions. He taught me a lot through his acting without using words. Did you have such seniors in the field so far? (speaking to Shimazaki) Nobu: For me, all the seniors I have worked with have been like that. Like Mr. Fukuyama who gives us words and Mr. Suwabe who speaks with his actions, each senior has his own way of looking after his juniors. Some give me advice directly, others show me through their performances, and I have studied and analyzed their performances on my own. Finally, please give a message to those who are looking forward to the film. Nobu: I hope that after watching the film, you will feel the positive energy to "challenge something" or "take a step forward". I hope that those who became interested in "Black Clover" through the movie will be inspired by the "Black Clover World", which includes the TV animation series, the original story, and the game that has also been released. Gaku: Ever since I started working on "Black Clover," I have wanted to live a life like Asta. I learned a lot from him because he is a character with different characteristics from myself, and he gave me the spirit of never giving up, and the desire to be strong and good at what I do. The movie is even stronger in these elements, so if you have a place to aim for or are on the verge of losing your mind, please watch the movie and get that feeling from Asta.
