Hello everyone, I really don't know where to start since I'm at a loss. I (F26) live in the same building as my parents, but on a different floor. I visit them sometimes to say hi, or WfH, if my neighbours are being too noisy.
My dad was diagnosed with lung cancer almost a year ago. It has also spread to his brain, but the prognosis is fairly good. He's resting well to the immunotherapies, and the doctors seem positive. However, since he started his meds, he's changed. He's become more angry, irritable, he shouts a lot, talks down to my mom, etc. He was never the perfect person, he has given us the silent treatment when I was younger, and he has even slapped my mom once (or twice, she says she's not sure). At some point we were living in the same home, and he had quit talking to my mom for 3 months, and to me for 1 because we had "offended his nephew". Don't ask me exactly what had happened, I was 9 and cannot remember, I'm not even sure I was in the room when the altercation took place.
So far, he has not been violent with me. He had cornered me once or twice, and raised his hand, but never actually hit me.
This morning, I went over and had some sort of disagreement regarding my cat. He doesn't want her inside my house, I want her inside my house, that was the disagreement. Maybe I should also mention that the building is in my mom's name, and my house is in mine.
I left the room to go turn on my work laptop, he followed me, while screaming at me that I never shut up and first grabbed me by the hair, then by the neck, and when I told him to get away from me or I'd call the police, he told me to "call anyone you want", and then slapped me twice. In the meantime, my mom had woken up and was trying to stop him, but she couldn't even move him. I gathered my things, and as I was leaving their house, I'll admit that I told him that he has been teaching me all these years not to accept this kind of behaviour from any man, but he turned out to be trash as well, and that I'm deeply disappointed I'm associated with him.
Maybe I should also mention that while my mom has also fought cancer (from 2013 to 2017, she's not cured and cannot be cured, the illness is lying doormat, and I hope it stays that way), he keeps telling her that he is the one who is sick, that she doesn't get it, and he doesn't want her near him because she has nothing to offer him.
I feel more disappointed than I ever have. This person, moneywise, has offered me a lot, especially a good education, food on the table, etc. (along with my mom, my dad was just always earning more), and in a single moment I started feeling that my love for him was gone. Maybe I'm still in shock, but I think of him, and feel that he is a stranger.
I know that cancer and the fear of death looming over you, must be terrifying. But is that an excuse? Was there always an excuse? How do I move on from this? At first I felt scared and now I feel nothing. I've cried so much, nd tried to cheer him up throughout his battle, and I have apparently failed. He is also not and never willing to see a therapist.
Tl;Dr My dad who also suffers from cancer, slapped me for the first time in 26 years. How do I move on from this?

So as the title says that I came out two weeks ago and just wanted to share a bit about my experience. I’m AMAB
So I’ve been going through my gender crisis for about a year and half now. When I finally came out to some of my work mates it felt amazing (one is non binary and the other uses he/they) they both were super accepting and supportive, ever since I gradually told the rest of my work place (they all are very accepting and supportive) they have been using they/them because these are my pronouns and it is the most euphoric feeling ever, I truly feel like I am me in the first time in my life.
About a week ago I tried on a few skirts and felt that same euphoric feeling and earlier this week I tried on a whole ass outfit and had the same feeling. It’s amazing the feeling of freedom of finally becoming your true self.
I’ve also noticed how much of a cis society we live in. Like my social media is filled with ways “men” and “women” should act and it makes me feel a bit uncomfortable because in my head “I’m like ewww I’m neither”

My husband and I are in our mid-30s and living in Knoxville, Tennessee. We moved here 5 years ago from New Orleans and have enjoyed the surrounding nature and laid-back living. However, now that we have a daughter (only 3 mos old atm), we're considering finding a new place to settle down. The politics of Tennessee, the health care, and the school system are among the things pushing us out. We'd like to move somewhere where we still have access to nature and "big city" things as well for weekend adventures, but somewhere we can actually be a part of the community and not feel like outliers for believing in a woman's right to choose.
Our combined HHI is in the 120k range. Can we afford to be in a decent area of town? What neighborhoods/areas of town are best for families with littles?
We'd like to visit sometime later this year to scope it out ourselves too, but there's only so much you can learn from driving around. I'd appreciate any insight, esp if you're raising a family in the area.

I may have read a very gushy moment in {Fake Dating Zac Delavin by Skyla Summers} where FMC stayed over the night at MMC's place because they were wasted “celebrating” as MMC's divorce has been finalized.

And because of that, I am begging for people to send over books with moments were the FMC borrows/uses MMC's shirt and sleeps in the same place, much better if shared bed (forced proximity trope lovers i'm begging) 😭 Would love it more if MMC goes feral/crazy/horny/protective/needing once he sees the FMC in his clothes!

So there's a ton of context to get into this situation, and I don't know how much of it matters, but oh well. I (23M) met this girl (23F) through Tinder a couple years ago, but we had both definitely seen each other around since we went to the same college before I ended up graduating 6 months before that. We messaged back and forth on Snapchat after the logistics of setting up a date failed a couple times due to her school schedule and then her going back home all the way across the country over the summer. After some small talk here and there and some really good converations, but still all over text. Eventually, I just forgot to respond one day and then the conversation stopped there because I just never followed up.
Fast forward TWO YEARS to about a month and a half ago. I saw that I totally dropped the ball and decided to message her again on a whim. Well that clearly worked because we basically got back on where we left off and things felt really enthusiastic and natural. Again though, we couldn't set up a date right away because she was busy with classes, but we did set an actual date this time for like three weeks later. Here's the kicker though. She then tells me that she's moving to the next state over, two hours away, in a couple months following graduation and going back home for a month after that. Damn it. Relally kicking myself for sitting on this one for two years. Oh well. "We'll have even more fun now because there's no pressure" were her words, and the mindset I tried to approach it with.
Lots of conversation leading up to the date, lots of flirty banter and teasing because we were going bowling and are both really competitive and then the actual date goes super well. Lots of great conversation, some hugging when one of us got a strike, and then we even extended it past the bowling by getting dinner after. I learned here how cool she is and how much we have in common. We then planned to go mini golfing, but that fell through because she got held up at work on the day that the place was open, so she suggested we go see a movie the next day instead. We do that and it goes even better! She smuggled in snacks that we shared and there was lots of hand holding which turned into basically cuddling by the end. Between dates, I got her a simple graduation card and some local touristy stickers, so I gave her that at the end of the date, which clearly she liked because we kissed and she was telling me about how she's coming back in mid-June for about a week and really wants to see me then. She'll then officially be moving away after that week. Conversation since then has been really great. I feel like we're getting to know each other really well and I definitely really like her.
It seems like a pretty good sign to me that we have tentative plans for several weeks out, which annoys me even more than if this had just been one fun "no pressure" date because now I feel like we're having so much fun and getting really close despite knowing there's going to be an annoying two hour distance between us. It's an amount of distance where I wouldn't feel horrible about saying "Let's keep this going" but also I don't want to push too much since it's only been two dates with a third on the way and that might not be worth driving two hours for someone you've been on only a few dates with, even if we've been getting to know each other for much more time surrounding those few dates.
I don't know what exactly I'm asking here. I don't know if I necessarily need advice, but maybe writing all of this out will help me figure out how I feel about this whole situation. I really like her and I wish it could be as simple as continuing dating and seeing where things go. I wish I could just continue to get to know her, naturally learn about her views and meet her friends and all that stuff that would come with taking our time to get to know each other. It feels bad to just let this go, but there's either going to be this whole new level of effort to visit someone or it just has to stop after all the great momentum. For now, I'm just going to stick to our plan and live in the moment. Enjoy it while it lasts, and figure things out when the time for distance approaches. Thoughts, I guess? I know I'm for sure overthinking all of this, but what do you think?

Social
We put a lot of emphasis on the social aspect of the game. As well as an active Discord server, you will find us running Mythic+ dungeons with numerous alts, organising tranmog/achievement runs from previous content, even playing other games or just hanging out. We also run a social raid once a week, which anyone is welcome to join.
If you enjoy progressing through current content, leveling 67 million alts or jumping around on turtle mounts around the fountain in Valdrakken, that’s fine with us! Raiding
Founded in 2014, we've been raiding since the latter part of MoP. After progressing through to the second floor of mythic Hellfire Citadel, the guild has settled down to raiding at the heroic level and while we like to see bosses die, we like to have fun while we're at it.
We have a tight-knit group of raiders that all bring something to the guild's atmosphere. While ilvl and experience is important, when applying to the guild, we are looking more at you as a person rather than your progression/item level.

I currently don't have a title, but I had this anime idea for quite some time. Well, here you go:

• It centres in a world where humans a monsters coexist. The monsters are from 8 Elements (Magic, Fire, Water, Earth, Air, Mecha, Life, and Darkness). I headcanon Studio Trigger being in charge of it.
• The main character is Hiro Tsunako, a 14 year old orphan who is the first human/monster hybrid (heterochromia, cat ears and stripy tail). His human mother died when he was 3 while his monster (later confirmed to be a Magic type) is declared missing in action. He lives with his guardian Bertha and has the ability to speak to monsters. One day in the first episode, he discovers a Starmaker.
• Starmakers are Magic reptilian monsters that come in many sizes and are said to create constellations with their crystalline heart. This is a shock to Hiro as Starmakers were supposed to be extinct over 10 years ago. He takes him to his apartment and dubs him "Leefee" while attempting to bond with him. After tumbling down a staircase, Hiro discovers a journal by his late mother, Haruka Tsunako; she wanted to make a paradise for all monsters big and small. Bidding farewell to Bertha, Hiro and Leefee set off around the world to contain a DNA samble for every monster to fulfil his mother's wish.
• Other characters include Hiro's only human friends Janet (his childhood crush) and her partner Skita, Kyo (fellow glutton genius) and his partner Spywire and the recurring Venom Gang, who are determined to steal any monster they can for money. Hiro's primary rival is Dante Ironside, the condescending heir to his father's company, Ironside Industries. His presence serves as him being Hiro's sitcom arch-nemesis that also demonstrates their hatred against each other. It's serious at times that they outright refuse to save the other.
• The Venom Gang work for their mysterious superior Professor Paradox, a deep-voiced overarching mastermind for the first 2 seasons. He always lets out the booming line of "MORTALS, GROVEL BEFORE ME!" when contacting the Venom Gang. He orders them to bring him strong monsters and corrupts their minds for nefarious purposes. When finally confronting Hiro, it's revealed that he's a diminutive brain-like monster.
• A movie or mini-arc has Hiro and Leefee go undercover to foil a barbaric underground bloodsport hosted by crime queenpin Kylina.
• The final season builds up Hiro's coming of age when he discovers that his monster father is still alive, a Trapanther named Xyroque of the Magic Element. Throughout the anime, Hiro himself began using certain monster attacks. Xyroque has spent years living with hellish survivors guilt after the death of his wife. It's revealed that a man named Armados murdered Haruka and ordered mass genocide on the Starmakers, considering all monsters "vermin". He was once in love with Haruka before Xyroque impregnated her, thus kickstarting his racial hatred to monsters. He first attempted to kill Hiro as a baby and frame his mother for it. Armados spitefully argues that "She sinned against nature!"
• At that same time, Leefee crosses paths with a female Starmaker nicknamed Luna and that Starmakers can make portals. With Hiro's help, he attemped to court Luna using sheltered mating rituals. Eventually, she was being used by Armados to retrieve Leefee and use his DNA to make an army of clones called "Slashade" to exterminate all monsters so he can kill them all and look like a hero. The Big Badass Battle Sequence takes place in the Narendra Modi Stadium with Armados unleashing all the clones of Slashade and have them fight all the monsters in the anime.
• 5 years later, Hiro walks down the isle and marries Janet with all their friends, allies, monsters and the rest present to watch their union. Another timeskip later, Hiro, now dubbed Dr. Tsunako, wakes up to unveil the grand opening of his Monster sanctuary with his wife and children. There, he reunites with Leefee, who has sired 3 hatchlings with Luna, and they all do a family hug, ending their story.
• The Stinger, one Slashade (unknown if its the original or a surviving clone), calls in a cave and discovers a hidden haven for surviving Starmakers.

Hello all! Been loving my steam deck. Recently picked up Age of Wonders 4 and grabbed some mods from the workshop for it. They download and function fine on my desktop, but I can't seem to get them to work on Deck. I'm sure I'm just not looking in the right place or something, and would greatly appreciate any assistance. Thanks!

TL:DR.. Ranked system need a bit of love and attention soon before it's too late, the second you lose your "casual" player base that's when a game really dies down fast, like really fucking fast.

Firstly, I know most of you read / sick of reading around this topic but I honestly feel this is something that need to be constantly spoken about for it to change for the better.
Here is just a quick breakdown of the main elements of playing Ranked or Apex in general.
Solo Q Something I would say majority of the player base do, as any BR the experience isn't great when playing solo regardless of skill level and it was mentioned around multiple times how solo Q in ranked was a horrendous experience. now this experience is significantly worse and here's why:

• the system they added that supposedly try and match you with other solo's clearly doesn't work, you are still constantly facing three stacks
• Ratting, and this by far the biggest problem with ranked, join the ship and at least every 1 in 3 games your teammate or even both will jump solo and hide in a tree, underground and anywhere far far away from you. so you are left to literally play solo.
• Now when you combine that awful system with the awful system of PUBs matchmaking you got a cocktail of absolute shit.

Ranked Matchmaking
We are told it's hidden MMR, nothing to do with your rank but purely how you perform regarding kills, damage and placement throughout the game, the way it determine this by placing you in random 10 games and see how you fair versus multiple different levels. and boy oh boy this is terrible MMR system, here's why:

• You can have 0.8 KD and avg dmg of 500 in the ranked playlist but you can match #10 current predator stack, or even multiple high level master players. how is that even remotely fair?
• You can match a top #500 predator while being in Silver 4, but can't play with your friend who's in plat 4? make it make sense.
• The point system simply don't make any sense, you can finish top 7 with 6 kills and only get 30 bonus points. if those kills are valued so little because the players are a much lower level, why are they in the lobby with me?

Smurfing:
I mean why even try to smurf, you can just do it from your own account..

Overall Ranked Experience
We all seen the changes and thought "Finally, an end game that means something, the great chaos of a battle royal" where in reality it created a much worse flow to the game.
You don't have "end game fights" anymore, you simply have 7 squads left in zone 4/5 and 5 of those squads are solo players ratting in a tree, the other two squads fight and within seconds it's down to 2 squads. Everyone simply run as far as they can from fights because of the way the point system work.

Solution - Short turn / Quick wins:

• Immediately fix the out of bounds areas, why can someone literally hide under the map? above banners 100m high? glitched inside of a rock? - make these area out of bounds and will instantly improve the flow of the game.

Solution - Long term:

• The point system really need reworking, I understand the entry cost is the same across the board as the point needed to go from bronze 4 to bronze 3 is the exact same point tally you need to go from diamond 4 to diamond 3 (1000) but something need to be done around a threshold of rank you can't face. regardless of MMR a predator shouldn't be in a gold lobby. we are seeing predator streamers going into a predator lobby and getting 5k damage with 15+ kills.
• The balance between points for kills and placement really need to be far more balanced, the goal of battle royal is survival, but the game concept developed so much from what the genre was 6-7 years ago, hence all the new abilities, weapons, attachments etc.. a fine balance between making placement key but also kills count as something. I am not saying land, kill 6 people and place 17th and get lots of points. but you shouldn't get 6 kills and top 11 and get -10.. again remember, top 10 because there's about 7 players in a tree somewhere.

I'm just some ugly short incel. Nothing will ever change. People will never respect or like me. I can never have a social life, sex, a family. I'm stupid, dumb, a bore, unsuccessfully, a loser. People want me dead. There is nothing I can do, I only have bad qualities. I don't even enjoy life. I should, I must kill myself.
There is no point in trying there is no hope. I'll always be last place. I should have been aborted. There is no point in interacting with others. They all want me dead anyway. They might not say it, but they don't want someone like me to exist. I don't think I want to live anymore. There's nothing I can do except ending it.

Prior to marriage/pregnancy, I have a good relationship w mil - not that we are super close but we are on normal talking terms. Generally she’s a nice lady, only thing is she likes to give comments on things, even if it’s not her business.
So things changed aft I got pregnant, towards my 3rd trimester she starts giving comments like “your bump is so small”, “smaller than when I was preg”, “a lady I saw downstairs, about same trimester w you but her bump is so much bigger” “you are not eating nutritious stuff so ur bump is small” etc which really start to annoy me. We moved in together to our new place before I gave birth - and honestly I was more than ok to stay w her before the baby comes into picture, and partly because my husband is her only relative here in this country.
When the baby arrives, things got worse, no boundaries, 0 privacy - going in and out my room as and when she likes (even when we are not around), always asking for the baby when she’s awake. Even though she has never really taken care of her son when he was young, I still left my baby under her care when I have to run errand. But when baby was 7 months old, MIL left her alone in the hotel room sleeping, to go downstairs to chat w her friends, with no baby monitor and also the room access card was passed around, we Dk who will enter the room (we had an event that day at the hotel). She also didn’t stop my baby from chewing on a toy that was already chewed by my dog. She doesn’t have basic hygiene as well, I don’t expect her to change her living habit but at least practice some good hygiene before touching my kid. She doesn’t respect me as the mother, when I told her not to do certain things w the baby, she still did it behind my back and lied about it
With all these things added up, I have never left my baby unsupervised with her, even though we stay under 1 roof. On days I can’t take care of my baby, I will bring her back to my parent place.
I really can’t stand living w her anymore, but I feel guilty because my husband is the only son, and should I be feeling bad that my parents who are not staying w us get more chance to take care of the baby rather than mil who is staying with us?
