The CSV evaluation tool has been updated with a parameter that allows ignoring selected columns from the dataset. This enables some experimentation with the predictive relevance of those columns/features.
What is it?
It is a tool that provides an easy and quick indication of the predictability of a CSV dataset. Is the content of a column (target) of the CSV dataset predictable using the other columns (attributes/features)?
The tool provides an answer by comparing the accuracy of the prediction with a random baseline. If the accuracy improves, the target has a degree of predictability. You don't need to worry about the nature of the attribute columns; they could be numerical or multi-valued categorical ones. Missing cells are not a problem, and even the presence or absence of a heading is ok.
However, the target column should be categorical, as the algorithm is a multi-labeled classifier. More details about the usage can be found at:

The classifier used by the tool (deodel) is a new algorithm that is robust and designed for mixed attribute usage. The accuracy is good out of the box and provides a solid baseline.

Of course, to improve accuracy, the preprocessing of attributes should not be skipped, and other classifiers should be considered.

So all of this started back in Christmas 2022 and jeez it’s been a long 6 months. I want to include as much info as possible to not be bias but I also don’t wanna rant so I’ll try to be concise 🙃.
I (25f) have been with my partner (29m) for almost 4 years now, living together for 3. I used to have a pretty decent relationship with MIL and FIL we’d spend Christmas and birthdays together and whilst I didn’t particularly like them as people, it was never an issue and we all got along great.
Fast forward to Christmas 2022 (sorry if this bit gets confusing also it’s important to note we have a cat who I don’t trust with anyone other than bf and my mum). I was set to fly out of the country on Boxing Day so we had arranged the following plans; leave our house with our cat Xmas morning to visit my mum, spend Xmas morning/afternoon at my mums, Xmas evening bf travels to mil and fil with cat, I stay at my mums Xmas night and fly out next day, bf stay at his parents with cat to return home Boxing Day evening.
These plans were agreed upon as I really don’t like taking my cat out of the house for extended periods of time. Fast forward I’m on the plane 35,000ft up and I find out bf didn’t take the cat home after repeatedly telling me he would. I have audhd and I got extremely overwhelmed as I had no control over the situation, I was angry and worried about my cat suffering more stress not being in her normal surroundings and that he didn’t stick to the plans we made. I lashed out and accused his parents of manipulating him into staying another night. This isn’t new behaviour for them and they’ve manipulated him in the past into similar situations. His mum read our messages and started texting me from his phone saying how I’m no longer welcome in their home and to fuck off. The rest of the time I was out of the country we didn’t really talk and had another fight new years as he left our cat home alone to go to his parents whilst fireworks were going off. He wanted to take the cat but I didn’t want her enduring anymore stress so I said no and he left anyway.
Once I got back in the country bf and I managed to patch things up. I found out he was suffering from a tooth infection and was in a lot of pain and that’s why he was acting the way he did. It’s still a sore spot but we’ve moved on and we’re stronger than ever (apart from this issue haha).
Over the past 6 months I’ve made numerous attempts to apologise to his parents and ask to meet to talk things over and move on. fil doesn’t really care all that much, but mil has refused to have anything to do with me. Bf has asked her to talk to me and again she refuses. Whatever I can deal with that, but she’s now gone further and has accused me of stealing his money, controlling him and even going to far to say I’m the reason he has mental health issues. She refuses to believe he suffered before he met me despite being diagnosed with bpd literal years before we met. There are other things, I’m convinced she’s the reason I was fired from my job (my ex-manager is bfs uncle) but I can’t prove it so I won’t go into that. But still demonstrates the type of hatred she has for me.
It all came to a head this morning. It’s his dads birthday today and he made a remark this morning about not calling him whilst he’s with his parents because the last time I rang him while he was with them (I had a bad therapy session and was crying in my car) his mum accused me of ruining their day. Idk the comment just didn’t sit right with me, I’ve apologised to them I’ve tried to speak to them and make amends and they just don’t want anything to do with me. Why am I being told I can’t ring my boyfriend bc his parents will get upset when they’re the ones refusing to mend things?
I had to leave the house and cry in my car for 20 minutes this morning and I realised I just couldn’t cope with their shit anymore. In the past 6 months they’ve made me cry and breakdown multiple times. I love bf and I want to marry him but I can’t be in a relationship with someone’s whose parents hate me and accuse me of horrible things. Bf doesn’t want to cut them off or set boundaries or anything and yes he does defend me when he’s with them, but it shouldn’t be happening to begin with.
I just don’t know what to do anymore. He’s out with them at the moment and I’m in bed binge watching bones :( he did come and kiss me goodbye and say heA loves me before he left and I know he feels bad for everything that’s going on and he is very angry at his parents. Is there any way out of this situation without ending the relationship?

So firstly. I have the nose of a blood hound and also am super paranoid.
I live in a crappy rental that still have a fuse box and outlets hanging out of the walls and stuff, I hate this place. Thankfully the building is being demolished in a few months so we're out of here.
Untill then i got 2 weird smells i cant figure out, and im gonna be honest, its throwing me into panic attacks.
First one is a weird smell coming from our bedroom vent. Now as far as ive been told this vent isnt even hooked up. Its a strange staticy dusty smell. I dont know what could cause it, but the staticy part freaks me out. I did stick my head in the crawl space above the ceiling and can't smell anything up there. It's literally like this grey gravel sand mixture up there and the only wires I could see were to lights we never use. And as far as i can tell from my father in law working on the lights, if the switch is off there is no power to them.
I also smelt a sweet smell for a day but also my neighbourghs place smelled similar so i think maybe she made something, i havent smelled the sweet smell in 2 days.
Also the heat is shut off cause when it was kicking in I smelt a kinda burnt smell for the first second or two of air if that's relevent. .
Second smell is in the living room. Its a warm plastic smell. Not hot or burning plstic but warm, it's in one corner that has no outlets or anything, maybe a little across the front wall where there are outlets, but strongest in the corner with none.
Now my neighbourgh has a portable AC, it's right in that corner up against that wall that we share, its only flimsy drywall seperating us. It smells like its strongest against that wall and i assumrd it was just her AC but it smells wether she is running it or not.
Anyways landlord is apprently an electrical engineer and said that if anything was wrong electrical wise if would smell like burning plastic so idk.
I'm just absolutly freaking out and want to just call the non emergency fire department but my fiance says that this place isn't up to code and he doesn't want them to kick us out.
It also doesn't help that other people don't seem to really notice the smell, my fiance did say he smelt something weird once but that was it. I would say I'm crazy but I don't smell these things anywhere else just in thr bedroom and living room.
Any help is appreciated cause I'm at the point of breaking down for the thousandth time over this nightmare place. Also im near Toronto if that matters for code or anything.
I'd have our own electrician come out but we cant afford it sadly. Any help would be awesome.
Also the lights flicker in here alot, but it's the whole place. So idk if that has anything to do with it, but I don't smell anything from the fuse box, I'm a little too paranoid to open it right now.

Hey thanks for reading. I have a couple questions and I wanted to try and keep things in one thread so I don’t have to create multiple so thank you in advance.

1. I’ve never put any particular time into fighting games. I’ve used an arcade stick , I got at a good price, and a game pad so I don’t have any real habits yet to speak of. Consider me completely green. If I wanted to play on a hit box style would this be the best time? I’ve always liked the style more.
   
2. As far as in person tournaments go I have some local events that happen and I know I’m gonna get waxed, just gonna use it as a learning tool until I can actually clutch some wins. What’s your experience with learning the game and getting good enough to actually give someone a run for their money? Not what I should expect just your personal experience.
   
3. There’s so much street fighter content out there between creators and podcasts and articles. I know the name of some pros but who has the best content as far as information between those platforms? To flip that who’s the most entertaining to watch regardless of skill level?
   
4. My friend group doesn’t invest into fight games too much. We are more MMO and MOBA. I’m the only one really hyped for this game , as well as the other fighters releasing especially MK1, if your friend group needs someone to beat up for a bit in the evenings let’s talk!
   
5. This is kinda easy but I’ve read varying things, I’m well aware I’ll never play in a pro tournament unless it’s like an open event to anyone. Which I’m actually gonna go to the next EVO but as a fan but that’s another thread. Is there any drastic difference between pc and ps5 as far playing?

Hello to you all this is for my cousin Claudia Valle Alfaro who lives in La Ceiba, Honduras. My cousin was diagnosed with aplastic anemia which doesn’t allow her body to produce enough red blood cells. Due to this illness it resulted in Cerebral venous sinus thrombosis as well. In order to treat the latter illness , we must get the medication to treat the aplastic anemia first. The medication she needs is called Revolade 25mg (Eltrombopag) which will increase her hemoglobin and blood platelets in order for her to resist the medication for the thrombosis. We already got one box and she needs 5 more. Unfortunately the medication is very costly. About 40,000 honduras pesos which approximately $1,600 per box. My cousin family has nowhere else to reach out more money to pay for the rest of the medication and that’s why I’m asking you to help her. At a very young age she’s just 38 years old with 3 children and I don’t want her to leave them behind. They need her more than ever. And us in the family need her here as well. I'm not entirely sure where to start. Been together 1.5 years. At the beginning this was a relationship we've both waited our whole lives for. But as time goes on you get to find out things and sometimes you can't help but question everything.
Ive always been the one in the relationship that supports harder, understands better and has more patience when things aren't all rosey. An empath. My partner's had a lot of stress in her life which seems to follow her everywhere. Her 13 year old kid has undiagnosed adhd which also brings stress, but that can be totally managed with love and patience (the dad has never ever been around). But like I say, I picked up the slack with everyday things, lightened the load and the burdens which I was always happy to do. I felt like if roles were reversed she would have supported me the same way.
Things started getting rocky when I found out she was a secret smoker and sneakily hiding it from me, but hiding it mostly from her kid. I had an inkling about it anyway but it was never confirmed until a few months in. I'm against smoking but can understand if people need a stress relief. It wasn't a big deal but the sneakiness of it all effected me. I let her know this and we had arguments about it but she never really budged. She did quit for 3 weeks but gave in and refused my help and support so I had to get used to the idea. I did. Because I told myself i love her.
Anyways a few months later things went further south. Her phone started going off at all hours in the night. I confronted her and she just said it was Instagram notifications. I believed her. But it kept happening. One night in bed it woke me up as it buzzed like 6 times in a row. I snooped (no lectures please I already know it's bad) and saw that it was a guy she used to date basically booty calling her with messages on Snapchat (queue the Snapchat haters brigade. Kids and drug dealers use it a lot- more on that later). I also saw that there was a half naked picture of her saved in his chat from a week after our first date. My senses left me and I replied as her, asking when was the last time they spoke. Months ago apparently. But I still felt betrayed. She woke up early that morning, walked the dog and obviously knew what had happened. She said nothing though, because her mother was dying and actually passed away that afternoon. This was January, not very long ago I know.
This obviously shook everything to the core and became the number one focus. Despite my feeling about what I found I only had focus on supporting her. So I did and learned to get over it in time by throwing myself into being her rock. It's been an obvious harrowing time since. But I showed up every day, offered her space, picked up the slack at home (we don't live together but I've stayed over almost every day of every week since), covered bills and food, took care of her kid and dog and all despite her attempts to push me away.
Now here's the part in having trouble working out.
I set my boundaries and early on. Drugs, cheating and lies are all deal-breakers. She understood this. In February I began to feel in my gut that she was taking coke. Her ex was a dealer and I know she used to do it with him. She told me she had been free of them for a year when we got together. These gut feelings wouldn't budge. Having never taken drugs or been around it i did some research/asked friends and some things added up. So I went looking. And found a bag of coke, a bank card and rolled up paper in a jewelry box under her nightstand. When confronted she said she didn't know it was there and it was from before she moved house a year ago. I didn't believe her but she gaslit me (didn't recognise this at the time please go easy on me) into thinking I was wrong for snooping and not trusting her. She brought up me going through her phone too, said she knew all along and was gonna let it go until I went looking. We sorted it I forgave her (gaslit) and she told me she got rid of it.
When I snooped her phone the first time, I saw messages to her friends asking to buy drugs. Never knew it was that at the time. A codename was used and I didn't really understand what the codename meant until way later when it was referred to as cocaine on some twitter post. Given her sneaky behaviour and what I found I snooped her phone again a few weeks after finding the coke. Confirmed she wanted to buy them the night before (the night i first snooped on her phone) and within the few weeks that her mother died. I also found that she had changed that guy's name on her Snapchat and was still talking to him. After she said she'd deleted him and the picture. Wounded. I was definitely ending the relationship after this.
But yet again she got that torch out and made me feel like I was equally to blame for going through her phone again, says it's a form of domestic abuse and we are both in the wrong. She admitted speaking to the guy, I told her it was emotionally cheating and she obliterated my boundaries but she said she never ended up buying the drugs. After a long talk we agreed to put it behind us. On my part she was still grieving and I know it makes people do things out of character.
Fast forward a few weeks. I hear her and her kid in the kids room acting suspicious. A lot of hushing a lot of laughing and a lot of coughing as if someone has inhaled something too quick. They're vaping together. I know it. We were out in the car and stopped by the store before hand. The kid definitely asked for a vape via text. The kid says to me let's drive around the corner to hide, but what she really did was make sure i dont see her mother buying vapes. I confront her after hearing them locked in the bedroom. But she lies to my face. I stew in silence. I can not be apart of a relationship where she's giving her kid a nicotine addiction. I confront her again. Gaslight. How dare I accuse her of doing something like that when I snooped through her phone twice. The next day we made up. Some pattern huh? Even writing this I can't believe I've put up with it.
For the last 2 weeks all this betrayal has consumed me, along with the lies and everything else. This is where I've figured out about the gaslighting. Not at the time unfortunately but just in the past couple of weeks. All the while supporting her through grief and domestic duties to make sure nothing is a burden too much. Mostly without thanks but I do it because I wanted to be here. The best thing ive done was encourage her to go to therapy which she has been doing. But I'm running on empty here. I'm close to breaking down and when I try and say I need space to myself or even express that I feel like a doormat at times I'm not listened to. My feelings aren't important. I mean they're not as important as her grieving but I'm pretty sure I'm important too right?
Why am I staying with her? Because she's going through hell after losing her mother, something I'm yet to feel or even fathom out. And despite her shit treatment of me I cannot give up on someone who is on their knees emotionally on a daily basis. But I'm close to breaking point and I'm not sure how I can support her further after constantly disrespecting my feelings. I'm not sure if I can trust this version of her.
So basically, have any of you guys experienced anything at all similar when it comes to grief or their partners grief? Do I stick out the storm and when it's less raw will things start to improve? Or am I fighting a losing battle? Remove the bad times since her mother passed and it was great. We wanted to settle forever. But now I'm only still with her sold on that future and because I know grief is absolutely incredibly awful and it's not her for the most part. Don't get me wrong, I'm not perfect and am to blame for some of the things we argue over. But I feel like I'm instantly accountable and want to make it right a lot quicker than her. Currently arguing over her lack of basic communication skills that I ask for but she never updates me on.
I'm too old to be having this sort of relationship anxiety. I'm booking myself into therapy this week before things become a lot worse for my MH.

Florida

A 54-year-old Black man died after Florida jail officials refused to give him medication that kept his body from rejecting his heart transplant.
Dexter Barry was arrested for misdemeanor assault in November 2022 after allegedly threatening to beat up a neighbor during an argument over wifi access. No actual physical fight occurred. According to body camera footage reviewed by The Tributary, Barry advised an officer at least seven times that he needed his medication to survive. He was booked into Duval County jail, run by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s office.
The next day, Barry reiterated to a judge that he desperately needed his medication:

“I am on medication,” Barry told the judge. “I just had a heart transplant, and I haven’t taken my medicine all day since I have been locked up, and I take rejection medicines for my heart so my heart won’t reject it, and I’m almost two years out.”

Barry also told jail officials while in police custody; they made note of it, but never gave him the drugs.

The medical records, initially obtained by Jacksonville civil rights attorney Andrew Bonderud, show that Barry also told the jail’s healthcare providers about his medications. Barry only received his blood pressure medicine and a drug for cholesterol and his prostate, according to the medicine log.
Bonderud said he believes the jail not giving Barry his anti-rejection medicine “was entirely driven by profit and a profit motive.” Bonderud, who is representing Barry’s family, explained, “Generic cholesterol medication probably isn’t that expensive. But the heart transplant medicine is very expensive.”

Barry died at home three days after being released, having missed at least five doses of the anti-rejection medication.

Dr. Maya Guglin, an Indiana cardiologist on the board at the American College of Cardiology, said organ transplant recipients have to take anti-rejection medications because their bodies view the new organ as an invasion that must be fought off.
“If you just drop those medications, everyone is eventually going to reject that organ,” she said.
Even if medication is restarted, it will be too late, Guglin said.

South Carolina

A South Carolina man is suing the York County Sheriff’s Office after four deputies shot him nine times during a mental health emergency.
Trevor Mullinax was in his pickup truck on May 7, 2021, with a shotgun. His mother, Tammy Beason, was beside the truck talking to him. A family member called 911 to request a wellness check, reporting that Mullinax was suicidal.
Body camera footage shows the moment that deputies arrived on the scene, opening fire within seconds of leaving their vehicles.

“Prior to arriving at the Plaintiffs’ location, Sheriff’s deputies failed to plan, choosing instead to ride in like cowboys from a John Wayne movie, defaulting to using deadly force, immediately, without attempting to deescalate the situation, in complete disregard for State law/regulation, Sheriff’s policies, and/or County ordinances,” the lawsuit states.
According to court documents, the deputies fired almost 50 rounds at Mullinax, striking him approximately nine times, including in the head. The plaintiffs’ attorneys allege this happened despite Beason being in the line of fire and Mullinax having both his arms raised.

York County Sheriff Kevin Tolson has defended the deputies’ actions, claiming that Mullinax picked up the shotgun in his truck and the officers feared for their lives. Three of the deputies who shot Mullinax are still on duty.

“I tell all of my deputies that their goal is to serve the citizens of York County and then to go home safely to their families. Mr. Mullinax chose to put these men in danger by pulling a shotgun. These deputies responded appropriately to the threat as they were trained to do. Had Mr. Mullinax made different choices that day, deputies would not have been required to use force,” said Sheriff Kevin Tolson. “Our ultimate goal is to ensure the safety of the public and our deputies. Regardless of the outcome of this lawsuit, we want to reassure our residents that we will continue to provide high quality and professional law enforcement service.”

Mullinax survived numerous gunshot wounds, including three to his head. After shooting him, the department charged Mullinax with allegedly pointing a gun at them.

Plaintiff Mullinax, who somehow miraculously survived the horrific shooting, has maintained his innocence of the criminal charges brought by Sheriff’s deputies. Plaintiff Mullinax denies pointing, brandishing, or presenting a firearm in any threating manner at Sheriff’s deputies, and Plaintiff Beason, who was present and standing directly beside the vehicle in plain view of Plaintiff Mullinax, maintains Plaintiff Mullinax did not point, brandish, or present a firearm in any threating manner at Sheriff’s deputies.

Louisiana

The U.S. Justice Department filed a court statement accusing Louisiana officers of violating the civil rights of an autistic boy when deputies pinned him to the ground until he died.
Eric Parsa (referred to as E.P. in court documents), a “severely autistic” 16-year-old, was at a Louisiana laser tag event with his parents on January 19, 2020. As the family was leaving the venue, Parsa “began to experience a sudden sensory outburst” in the parking lot.

E.P. began to slap himself in the head, a behavior which is a common physical trait for many persons on the Severe Autistic Spectrum Disorder and is a readily observable manifestation of the person’s disability and anxiety.
Along with other repetitive motions, this repetitive head slapping is sometimes referred to as type of “stimming” and can be an attempt by the person with autism to calm themselves when confronted with frustration, anxiety and/or inability to communicate. It can also be used by the individual as a self-calming or self-soothing technique to try to avert or mitigate the severity of an outburst or as self-injurious behavior. It is a visible sign that the person may be experiencing or is about to experience an outburst.

During this outburst, Parsa began physically struggling with his dad. The manager of the laser tag venue called the police to report there was “a man with his autistic child…in a confrontation” in the parking lot.
Parsa then slapped the first officer to arrive on scene; he was taken to the ground and handcuffed. Deputies kept Parsa in a prone position on the ground, shackled, using their own body weight as a restraint.

The physical restraint of E.P. in JPSO custody began with a 6’3”, very large, over 300-pound deputy taking E.P. to the ground, striking him and then sitting on E.P.’s back, holding him face down, for approximately seven minutes. Eventually there were a total of seven JPSO deputies involved, sitting on, handcuffing, shackling, holding down, or standing by E.P. as he was restrained and held face down on his stomach against the hard surface of the parking lot. The final application of excessive force against E.P. involved a deputy using his forearm to place a choke/neck hold around E.P.’s head, shoulder and neck, as he lay in a prone position, with a deputy on his back, and other deputies holding down his arms and legs, while he was handcuffed and in leg shackles.

Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s deputies sat on Parsa for more than nine minutes, only releasing him after “his body had gone limp and he had urinated on himself.”

9 minutes and 6 seconds. This is how long this extremely dangerous, lifethreatening and forceful prone restraint, involving the use of the deputies’ body weight and holds, mechanical restraints, choke/neck hold, following a period of physical exertion, was applied to an unarmed, obese 16-year-old severely autistic child in the midst of a sensory outburst or meltdown.
During that 9 minutes and 6 seconds, there were several clear and distinct opportunities, when E.P. was secured, was calm, was not actively resisting, when the JPSO deputies failed to de-escalate, failed to appropriately reduce the use of force against E.P., and failed to intervene to prevent the use of excessive force by other deputies.
Once E.P. was handcuffed, they did not roll him onto his side. They did not sit him up or stand him up. They did not secure him in a vehicle. They did not continuously monitor him. Instead, they continued to hold him face down, on his belly, while applying unreasonable and excessive force, resulting in his death. It wasn’t until his body had gone limp and he had urinated on himself that the deputies rolled him into “recovery position.” By then it was too late

Parsa was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead. His parents filed a lawsuit against the Sheriff’s office, arguing that the deputies violated Parsa’s First, Fourth, Ninth, and Fourteenth Amendment rights, as well as the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Last week, the DOJ filed a statement of interest agreeing with Parsa’s parents:

Here, the record is replete with facts showing that several Defendants knew about E.P.'s disability before or on arrival to the scene and that others learned of his disability during the encounter…Plaintiffs have also put forth evidence that the deputies, who knew they were responding to a call for assistance with a child experiencing a behavioral health crisis, used force inappropriately to respond to a child’s known disability-related behavior…
Critically, nothing in the briefing suggests that E.P. had a weapon, that officers ever reasonably suspected he had a weapon, or that there was a threat to human life… because abundant facts show that Defendants were on notice of E.P.’s disability, a reasonable jury could conclude that Defendants should have reasonably modified their procedures in restraining E.P.

I am not too concerned about child tasks although that would be nice to have, but our tickets are full of related items and it's a muddle.
