I used to write resumes for a living 5 years ago and back then, most ATS (applicant tracking systems) could NOT accurately parse multi column resumes and so those resumes were immediately dumped in the trash. I just looked this up and many recent articles still say this is an issue.
I'm making this post because I see so many posts here that say "I submitted 50-100 applications and heard NOTHING! Is the market that bad? Am I terrible? Do I deserve a job?"
Hearing absolutely nothing after 50-100 applications typically means your resume didn't even reach a human being, and the reason for that means it's because the format is bad, nothing to do with the content.
Best practices:
SINGLE COLUMN NO GRAPHICS. Don't put a needless picture of your face covering 25% of the page in the top left corner. Dont put graphics. ONE COLUMN (I cannot stress this enough). Keep it simple.
Don't just say "I did X". Say "I did X that resulted in Y (increased revenue, retention, growth, better visibility, whatever else)".
About me/summary should be about your skills, NOT your personal life and hobbies because honestly, nobody cares. They care if you know SQL, Salesforce, Python, any sort of management software, whatever else is relevant to your field.
One page. Unless you're super duper special, 99% of resumes can and SHOULD be condensed into 1 page. Pick your most recent, most relevant experiences (with minimal gaps) and pick only the points that are relevant to the job description.
Use buzzwords and other BS that's in the job posting itself, better chance of getting through the ATS.

Background:
I've been writing and playing songs for 4-5 years. I'm 19 right now and have finally found the right bass player and drummer to form a rock trio. We're going to play mostly originals that I've written and they knew that going in. I have a growing list of 40+ good songs (another 70+ that suck) that I've tested on multiple live audiences to good reception. We will be playing covers as well. Our sound is rock with a good variety of styles interspersed within it. So far we've been playing under my name which is a bit long and often gets misspelled so I've leaned into doing my first name with my last name initials (Mason FM). Though I like it and feel it would look cool on a marquee, I don't want to alienate the other guys by them not being recognized equally under a band name. Going by my name like that also feels a little arrogant but I've gotten a positive reception from it from local and professional musicians in my area.
We're starting to play more, I've been playing a mix of 70% solo events to 30% band events. With at least two things every week. I've been doing all solo for years so this is the dream for me right now. If the band were to not pan out I'd still be giving it 100% but there is a very high chance they're in for the long run. Finding the right name is like looking for a needle in a haystack and our variety of sound calls for something more neutral that doesn't send the wrong idea to a potential fan. There's distinct sides of the sound, one is more neutral catchy leaning stuff and the other is apocalyptic dark rock. There is room for creative freedom within it, however most of it is run through my personal vision. The bass player has 2 other bands and a hidden personal project and the drummer is very chill and is a guitarist in another band.

I've been in a relationship with my BPD person since late last December. A little context: I'm a 24 year old guy who has never had an ounce of relationship experience, not even a first kiss, so she was my first for literally everything. I am shy, mellow type too, and she is more, shall we say, strong in personality/extroverted? She is older than me too, 32. At first it seemed the age thing was gonna get in the way but with how we got along and connected right away it didn't matter at all. We come from totally different backgrounds though. She grew up with a rough childhood, with a father who emotionally manipulated everyone, including her and her brothers since they were little. Her mother dated abusive boyfriends who would all literally beat her in front of her throughout the years. On top of that, she was divorced, and the boyfriends she had between that and me were terrible to her as well. So lots of trauma, while I lived a pretty "healthy" and admittedly sheltered life with my parents.
Since we started dating she had her meltdowns, such as accusing me of "being ready to go since I now got what I wanted" the night we first got physical, all because I literally just adjusted how I was seated.
Broke up with me twice in February, one of the times blocking me cause she accused me of giving her covid despite me testing negative two days after she got sick, and going back and forth, saying yeah I had nothing to do with it, to saying you gave it to me, we were together right before, testing negative means nothing, etc. and sending me texts like "I lost you, I am disgusting, I will never have a family or be happy" etc. also sending texts like "you have absolutely destroyed me"
One night she melted down because I "didnt put my arm around her" at a show we went to despite showing plenty of affection, it must have been 10 minutes of me just sitting at one point simply cause I felt sleepy and spaced out for a bit, but she yelled at me the ride home saying I didn't truly love her or cared about her and was ashamed of her, etc.
Less than a month ago we had a nasty argument because we talked about moving in, and I said I needed some time realistically because I currently have no car to get to work (if we moved in it would be about 40 minutes from my job, where currently i am 5 mins away) she was in between jobs, I need to save more money, and of course it is a huge step so it would be best to be 100% ready and responsible about it. but she went from saying that was valid to, again, saying I dont love her, if I did I would want to move in right away, etc. sent WALLS of text about how I am not serious about her, that this isnt good, etc. before she blocked me everywhere. On one call a few days later I said I did not wanna continue cause that was a lot, and she cried but understood. But somehow we got back together because despite this she is special to me and I do love her and there is a sweet wonderful person there. She made it seem like she was not gonna jeopardize losing me again and I believed it so we continued. but she never actually looked for help professionally.
And last Tuesday she calls me asking if I want to sleep over her place that night last minute, despite having a plan for me to come by Thursday. I said Id love to but cant because I was already gonna use this evening to spend it with my family since I havent given them much time lately since I was going Thursday anyway it should be fine. She gave me passive aggressive answers like "yeah okay. its fine. you dont want to come then. okay." then sent that same barrage of text messages about how "this is not good, no partner would do this, you dont want me" etc.
I said stop and she actually did, and then we decided to cool off before talking about it. But she ended up calling later anyway and it was a disaster. It ended with her self harming, telling me on the phone while crying that she cut her legs, stomach, and "took three sleeping pills but stopped herself" and has said even though she said in the past she feels suicidal tendencies but would never act on them, that this time she "may and would go father with the self harm" This was what marked me forever. How disturbing and emotionally traumatic was it to hear her break down and say these things. She even sent photos of her cut up legs while on the phone too. It has been days and I have not recovered from this.
I sent her a long email the day after how this made me feel like shit and traumatized me, and she apologized a lot and how I "deserve better than her" and said this time she promised to get help, saying she "contacted mental health support groups, therapists, etc" but I dont know how to feel about this anymore. I gave her nothing but as much pure love as I could, saw her on all my weekends, bought her little gifts she loves, drew her stuff, always made her feel loved safe and secure. Yet I guess it was never enough.
I dont know where to go from here. Despite the insane stuff, the good times were SO good, cuddles, happiness, love, admiration, lovely dates, just... how? How does it come to this? She is sending an occasional text, about how I am doing and stuff but I barely answer. She now wants me to "let her know asap if I dont wanna see her anymore so she isnt blindsided" So I guess I should take advantage and end it but I dread it. I know it is right, but I also keep remembering the good times and I feel horrible. Gah.

I've got an OpenStack (KVM) server running and I've got collectd sending statistics to Graphite, which in turn is a datasource for Grafana. BUT, I know practically nothing about Graphite or Grafana so I'm way out of my depth here.
I've got 3 queries set up, which do give me the data I want to see (% of virtual CPU utilization), but only if I select the VM instance in question at the top. What I want to be able to do is see all my instances and their CPU utilization in a single panel.
Here are the three queries:
Query A:
collectd.$compute.$uuid.$virt.virt_cpu_total
This pulls the total CPU hertz utilization by the VM

This pulls the total number of vCPUs assigned to the VM and scales it correctly

The variables in question here are $compute, which is the VM host, $uuid, which is the VM, and $virt, which is also the VM (that's just how collectd sends in the data). If I select just one VM (at the top of the page, selecting a single VM $uuid and/or $virt), the calculation displays correctly. If I select 'all' for any of these, though, the calculation gets screwed up for obvious reasons.
So, the million dollar question: is there a way to display a summary chart that substitutes one VM for each entry on the chart without me having to manually select and view a single VM at a time? Thanks!

My wife and I visited 2 of our friends the other day. One of their daughters was on a TV singing competition like X Factor or America/Britain's got talent in the 2000s. During the visit, they decided to share one of their favourite performances their daughter did on this show, I did request for it out of curiosity.
The showrunners decided to split the last 6 contestants between the youngest and oldest and they had to perform a song together. Their daughter was in the younger group and they (her parents) chose this performance because of how energetic and vibrant it is and how much fun the girls appeared to be having in it.
Watching it, I was perplexed and slightly repulsed. Here are some of the lyrics from it:

There was also weird sexual whispering, the dancing was very silly and last but not least their daughter and the 2 other girls were 17 years old. Only thing that would have it more inappropriate would be if they were wearing revealing dresses. I don't know what demographic the show targeted but I presume if it was on main time TV on the national TV station the producers would know better than to do a song that inappropriate.
They asked for my opinion. I responded giving them some friendly advice not to share this performance with any other visitors. The dad asked me why and I listed my problems as stated above and I questioned why they aren't bothered by it and what the producers were trying to do. They replied saying that the girls chose or selected the song from a list. I said it never should have been an option for them in the first place given it was on national TV. One of them asked what's my problem with it?. I said that it makes their daughter look "sexual" and that for the visitors they likely usually get (they're older than my wife and I), it could be offputting and I advised them to pick any other song their daughter did rather than that. The mum basically told me to "grow up" and get a sense of humour. My wife noticed it was very tense so she came up with a reason for us to leave. Got a pretty frosty goodbye and here we are.
I wasn't trying to offend them or attack their daughter. I was just saying it's probably best they don't show that inappropriate stuff and show something better their daughter did on that show.
