So I have Transmission running in container station, but can’t seem to be able to find/choose what folder the file downloads to. I then can’t move the files to the right folder as it can’t seed the file. It also won’t let me delete old files. They go to the downloads/complete folder that I was able to just put in the overall Plex media folder. It’s messing with my organisation and I’m pretty new to this on a NAS coming from a Mac server system.
On a side note, I also wanted to learn how to upload a torrent in transmission to my tracker but don’t see an option for that like I do on Mac transmission. I feel like the NAS one is far more simple and has less abilities.

I’m tired of hurting my own feelings when thinking about how time and people move on. I’m tired of feeling like something is wrong with me when I try to make friends in life or in a job type situation. I’m tired of feeling lonely when I see my friends post their friends when we haven’t spoken in months. I’m tired of feeling lonely when no one really seems to want to talk.
I don’t know if I’ll ever be a person comfortable with feeling like the outsider to everyone who says they are my friend, but I do know that I can’t continue to punish myself for it. Understanding who I am and how I don’t need to do anything different is hard. Understanding loneliness takes time. Sometimes feeling lonely for a bit is better then hurting my own feelings for a while.
Understanding loneliness is getting to know myself again. Getting to know myself is the hardest thing I’ve ever done.

I work in a community mental health setting. Multiple times other service providers in case conferences have asked questions to myself and clients that I am working with as to who their therapist is or if they are in therapy or telling my clients that they need to get therapy, knowing full well the program and organization that I am part of. Its so frustrating having decade of post secondary education plus experience, to be not seen as a therapist. I pursued graduate studies because people didnt take my knowledge, skills, and experience seriously. And here I am with multiple degrees plus extensive experience and others in the field undermine me within the profession. I also wonder how much my race and gender and the way I look impacts their perception as I am racialized queer femme and I look quite young for my age. I have worked so hard to get to where I am and I feel like I have to continue to work super hard to keep re-establishing my authority within the field. I constantly initiate and take up leadership roles in multitude of areas in the local mental health sector. And not being seen as a therapist shatters part of my professional identity and confidence. Have others encountered this and how have you navigated? Thanks for taking this time to read this.

I believe that we can find our soul family groups via numerology.
I believe the people we have the strongest if not the longest connections to have always been meant to be in our lives.
Each struggle we have with one life path shows up in others. We have people that are meant to heal our connections in both familial, friendship, and romantic relationships.

This is the case for me at least!

I am designing a rules-lite narrative TTRPG for my gaming community that is borrowing ideas from a number of other systems including Freeform Universal, Forged in the Dark, Fate, Core Micro and even some lighter weight trad systems like What’s Old is New and Savage Worlds.
I have been struggling a bit with coming up with a simple abstract system that combines the concepts of Wealth, Status/Reputation and Experience (XP). The only currency in the game are Wealth Points, and wealth is used for everything including:

• healing and recovery of wounds during downtime
• the time and resources required to improve skills and abilities (character progression)
• the time to research, locate and acquire gear and equipment (or craft)
• bribes and information broker fees to acquire intelligence information
• travel and other logistical costs
• investing/donating to allied factions to create beneficial future effects for the party
• improving relationships/ties (theoretically by doing things like spending time with them, buying them gifts, wining and dining, etc)

So, as the players adventure in the world, they acquire Wealth Points, which they then have to decide how they want to spend. Got beat up in that last Boss fight? I guess you have to decide to spend some of your Wealth getting patched up instead of improving that gear item or leveling up some skills. Need to buy the schematics for the building you need to infiltrate for that time-sensitive mission, I guess we put off buying that cybernetic arm to replace the one you just lost and you have to suffer a disability until you can earn more WP.
I am pretty happy with the overall concept I have described above so far. I like that players will have to make difficult choices about how they spend their wealth, and it will compete with their desire to keep making their characters more powerful, and even the level of risk they are willing to take during encounters. (There are other resources like Stress and Grit that can be used to deal with consequences as well, so I think tying wealth to recovery will only add a small additional consideration with regard to risky behavior during play).
So, the part I have been struggling with is wealth inequality and scale, particularly with regard to the cost to acquire things (gear, information, etc). The significant difference in wealth status and potential cost of various items from the mundane to super expensive, etc. With regard to gear, there is also the consideration of gear specializations and quality, etc., that I could have as both a mechanical and narrative impact.
So here is an idea I would appreciate some feedback on. Mundane common just have a fixed WP cost, and characters can acquire them easily without making a roll.
Anything that is specialized is given a Wealth Rank based on a step dice strategy:
D0 - Destitute (you can’t buy anything) D2 - Poor D4 - Lower Class D6 - Middle Class D8 - Upper Class D10- Wealthy D12 - Rich
Items you can acquire (physical or conceptual) have a quality rank of 1 to 4:
1 - Poor 2 - Mediocre 3 - Good 4 - Very Good
To acquire specialized equipment, first the player needs to roll a check to see if they succeed in finding the item to acquire, then they roll for cost/quality. They roll the Wealth Rank dice associated with the item X a d4 for the quality of the item they will receive.
The result randomizes both the quality of the item they will receive, and its relative cost. Since the cost is a multiplication factor, they might get a deal, or they might get squeezed on the overall cost which scales up.
The item is tagged with the quality ranking in their gear list and will be used when including the gear in action rolls for advantage/disadvantage. The GM can use the quality of the gear when determining position/risk and effects, and consequences for failures etc (weapon misfires, barrel explodes, expired security card alerts security).

Hey guys, looking to benefit from the communities' wisdom here and possibly spark a bit of discussion.
Short version: does anyone know if the training time of CPU implementations of tabular learning algorithms (XGBoost, LightGBM, TabNet) depend on RAM speeds?
Longer version. I recently switched from an i7 12700KF CPU to an i9 13900k. Doing a somewhat heavy AutoGluon training (most time spent in the algorithms above) that takes 4 hours I got a 1.6X speedup from the newer processor which is great, training now takes 2.5 hours so more trials per day of work). My RAM is a 2x32GB kit of DDR4 memory that can work overclocked at 3200MHz. However while installing the new CPU it defaulted back to 2133MHz. At that speed, training was far slower, I don't recall the exact figure but something like 50% as fast. After overclocking to 3200MHz, the 1.6X speedup.
There's thousands of RAM benchmarks for games (where RAM speeds have a limited impact) but I've found none for ML. Closest I got was this video from LTT https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-WFetQjifc where he shows for some productivity apps it has a major impact but none of those are ML applications.
So my question is: are these algorithms training times sensitive to RAM bandwidth? More so for CPUs with higher core counts?

Hello, i bought the elgato ring light and the multimount i got with it got jammed, so i cannot adjust the height. I didnt damage it or anything else, once i adjusted it, tighten it, couldnt get it back... Not because of overtightening, because is still waggle a little bit, so i can move it to the left and riught, but i cannot loose it. I need to return the whole product, because i wasnt able to pay it fully... got any tips, how to loose it?

Hey guys, sorry if this is a repeat i saw some older unanswered questions regarding this topic.
Im curious if there are any recommended mods or tips to improve the controller experience for valheim. I mostly play at my desktop but a lot of the times i wanna play in bed via controller.

I noticed the bindings were horrible until i changed the controller setting to console mode. However my issue is that valheim sorta expects you to be extremely accurate all the time. Picking up/interacting with things on controller, even with too high/low sense is giving me too much trouble.
I find that ill go around getting materials, only to have half of them roll down a slope either to where i cant get them, or to where running after em isnt always worth it. Really wish i had some sorta aim assist almost.

What may be worse though is that when a stone for example is clicked on, i then have to move my cursor again to click on the item on the floor which takes forever. I find that i spend far too much time aiming to said item. I feel it should just let you hit A to pick said item when within a certain radius/distance.

Another issue that im not sure about is when using controller to pick berries, they fall into the bush a lot of times, and you cant get them out unless you break the bush for some reason...

Idk it’s so funny how people don’t understand that if you pay with cash the only proof of purchase is the f receipt. Howdy all! I’ve been pondering for a while about how to use the color pie for better understanding and creating characters (even other humans, infinitely complex and disserviced by such simple heuristics as we are), and I wanted to propose a different way of viewing color pairings than we usually seem to take.
Most of the time when we analyze color philosophies, we try to squish together different phrases that give apparently equal footing to both colors (Selesnya is peace through acceptance, Mardu is freedom through self expression, Bant is gradual progression through order), but I wonder whether these do a disservice to the different valences that color philosophy can take. Every color combo has heroes, villains, and civilians involved—so what might be a better way of approaching things?
One approach (perhaps with more to come!), I think, is to consider color combinations through principles and purpose of a character’s alignment—the for what that adds complexity to their way of doing things. Instead of thinking about colors matching through their methods or aims, we think from the reverse—what gives further grounding to their feelings?
We can take, for example, Green-White. GE is one of my favorite color combos, and I think often limit think of through phrases like “peace through acceptance” or “harmony through law.” It sounds right in principle, but if we think of the range of GW characters—Ajani, Sigarda, [[Cadira, Caller of the Small]], [[Danitha, New Benalia’s Light]], [Bess, Soul Nourisher]], [[Kaherra, the Orphanguard]], and many more—these phrases start to feel less sufficient. Does Ajani have Green’s ambivalence about change? Does Bess seem to have white’s emphasis on order?
Mechanically, we can think of this through centering—Ajani, for example, is centered in White. Indeed, centering has appeared in the MTG storyline in really productive ways—I’m thinking of Rootha’s and Killian’s stories in Strixhaven, which revolves around characters who had enemy colors but ultimately centered in one (Rootha in Red and Killian in White). But centering falls by the wayside in our usual formulation of color philosophy: if I say that Ajani is GW centered in white, does that mean he believes in peace through acceptance but cares more about peace? Something seems askew there.
But if we think about Green-White as a complex expression of principle and purpose, we might arrive at something different. Green and White provide lenses for one another, principles that answer the question for what? A mono white character might labor for the law because they believe it to be good in itself or because their highest aspiration is peace, but by adding green, they gain a special emphasis on the principle beneath the principle, the idea behind it: life, or existence itself, or the natural goodness of people. A green-white hero might believe in justice (White), not for its own sake but because of what they believe the world to be (Green). This sheds some light, I think, on why Green-White has as many humane caretakers as self-abasing members of Selesyna. Ajani, for example, believes in uplifting the meek, fighting tyranny, and embracing others in community (white) because he believes in the power of each person’s truest self (green). It might go in the reverse direction: Maja, Bretagard Protector is interested in harmony, but ultimately for the sake of preserving peace and order.
The idea, ultimately, is to consider how a second color might represent deeper motivation, an actual hierarchy of values, rather than a perfect blend of idea and method.
These are just some ideas I’ve been percolating. Would be interested to hear everyone’s thoughts!

How are disagreements about interpretation settled and who gets to decide what the official canon and meaning of each verse is?

As part of my PhD research project at Applied Artificial Intelligence Institute of Deakin University, we are investigating the challenges that software engineers face when working with machine learning (ML) models in production. Moreover, we explore how to enhance our proposed solution to better meet the needs of these engineers.
The objective of this study is to pinpoint the areas where software engineers need more support and resources to effectively work with ML components in production. It also aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a proposed protocol to improve software engineers' productivity and enable them to work more effectively with ML components in production environments.
With the knowledge gained from this investigation, we aim to improve our solution to empower software engineers to incorporate ML models in production. In addition, helping software engineers develop a comprehensive understanding of these models' behaviour, leading to the development of more resilient and efficient ML-enabled software systems.

I've now played 2 big pots where I had AK with an Ace high board. No flush or straight. Both times they had a set.
How do you think about folding AK in this spot? How often is this a fold to aggression? Or is this just one of those cooler situations?

I know the saying is something like ‘if you watch me I charge you double’. But how do you politely tell a client/customer not to watch you work?
I work as an electrician that does service calls. Some of my clients feel they have to watch over my shoulder while I work. I’m not sure why they do this?
Sometimes accidents happen that can cause an arc flash. I would hate for them to be looking at the device I’m working on and it blows up.

I mean experiments like checking something that you won't be able to know while APing and then in real life you get it right.
For example, someone posted here that they made an experiment with a D20 (rolling it without looking and checking the number while APing) and almost got it right.
My goal with AP is to do that. Have anyone tried that? Was it successful? How many times? Is there any chance that it is just coincidence?

I heard that matter happened in PEI.

• A Chinese family spent $200,000 on an immigration company and an employer in PEI. They paid the money to the employer first and then the employer pays back the salary to them.
• I know their name and some information. I emailed to PEI immigration office. They asked for the employer's information. Unfortunately, I don't have the employer's information.
• The principal's spouse and child are living in Ontario now. Actually, they never want to live in PEI. It's just an "immigration pathway". They bought a property in Ontario and the child attends a private school.

I thought PEI officer can find the entire immigration profile even if only the name provided. I don't know what I can do. It really makes us indignant. Fraud immigration happened anywhere.
