I've been living with my grandma since 2018, except for a year where I tried living with my ex and it all went down in flames.
It seems that her aspiration in life is only to COMPLAIN. Nothing is ever good, nothing is ever enough.
She hates how her boyfriend treats her, how he only comes over to wash his clothes and how he always avoids responsibilities with the dogs they share, how he wants sex and a maid and she doesn't want that, but does she break up with him? No!
She hates how the dogs fill the yard with poop and pee, how they bark loudly at flies, cats on the roof, birds, sneezes, nails getting clipped, blenders, and even the little cleaning robot. Does she train them, or pay someone to walk them, or even re-home them with my parents? Absolutely not!
She's been freaking out over her job, that she only took because she wants to avoid a bad credit score over my parents not paying the loan or the credit cards she lent them, but does she stop and reconsider things, maybe check how she spends her money? No, she says I should have dinner ready by six when I work from home. Because I am obviously not working, not like she does.
I'm at the end of my patience with her. I told her I'd live two years with her, so she could help my parents, but instead I'm seriously considering bailing out and letting her figure herself out because she's so insufferable. She complains about my clothes, my room, how we throw the trash out too late for her (trash collection is at 22, we throw it out by 18), how we eat too much meat and too little rice, everything! It's pissing me off!!
She even complains that I buy slightly better cuts of meat and chicken, because god forbid I eat something nice after busting my back at a stressful job. I buy every single brand she likes for groceries, I pay every single bill, I fill the tank of a car I barely use, I buy appliances she wants, she is spoiled with everything I get for her but still complains I don't care about her when my boyfriend buys me some cheap sushi to cheer me up.
I can't even make a weekly schedule of dinners, or say "hey let's maybe start washing our towels every two weeks" because she'll freak out over how I'm taking over the house. I should do things always her way, because she's older and wiser (sike).
I'm tired. She wants to talk tomorrow because "she's uncomfortable in her own house", and I'm considering telling her that we do everything her way, her style, and she's never happy, so we'll bail out and she can figure it out herself. I finally understand why NO ONE in our massive family does anything for her, and it's because she's a penny pinching, egoistical hypocrite who's lucky to be the youngest and have inherited the house from her parents.

Hello,
I am having a problem where I click on the Windows tab and the search bar and get a large loading screen where I am unable to do anything but alt+tab out since I would be unable to do anything otherwise. Waiting did not work for me either. Every part of my computer is functional except the Windows Button and the Search Bar. Help would be greatly appreciated to solve this problem.
What the loading looks like whenever I click on the search bar. It is the same for the Windows button, but I am ultimately able to see the Windows pop-up under the large loading screen albeit very fuzzy and left unable to interact with the menu.
System Model: GE63 Raider
System Type: x64-based PC
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8750H CPU @ 2.20GHz

Hi,
So, backstory is that on Saturday night I noticed I had a bit of pain in my neck, thought nothing if it. Went to bed and woke up with a sore neck, with stiffness etc.
I then went to bed on Sunday night and found it very difficult to get comfortable and to sleep. Today it seems to have gotten a lot worse so I think.
I've not done any strenuous activities, weights etc. I don't have a temperature or feel unwell in any way, simply just pain in the rear neck area.
There is throbbing that has recently developed, it seems to follow my heart rhythm and is slightly uncomfortable
I also tried to lie down and that was severely painful, though it is just about bareable if lying on my side
I have great difficulty in turning my head side to side and to tilt up and down.
Swallowing also is painful, as is opening my mouth. It doesn't feel sore like a sore throat etc, it just hurts the back of my neck. (As if the muscles that are involved have issues)
I've applied 10% ibuprofen gel to the area as well as taken a full course of tablets (8mg codeine, 500mg paracetamol and 50mg caffeine) I have taken 6 of these tablets (2 tablets every 4 hrs. But the pain still persists.
There is no rash, redness or temperature around the effected area
I feel I've had this pain about a decade ago. And was pretty bad, no idea what it was. But I feel this time might be a bit more painful.
To add, I have the same mattress as I've had for a while, never having this issue, I also have a simba pillow, about a year old, has been so comfy, so I have doubts it has anything to do with my sleeping.
I plan on getting seen tomorrow, but I'm ever so curious as to what this could possibly be, so suggestions and reasoning is welcome!

I've been a server at a restaurant since October 2021 and I found out some of the servers who started after me got a pay bump to $10/hr while I was at $2.13/hr. (Not sure when exactly but a server who started in October 2022 began with $9/hr) The General Manager bumped me up to $10/hr last month, said everyone was making 7.25/hr so he was doing me a solid with $10/hr.
But this week, a new girl that started in March 2023 got health insurance and when I inquired to the GM about why I didn't have it he said I needed full availability and to work at least 5 days. The issue with this is my availability is already 5 of the available 6 days we're open. On top of this, during the slow season my shifts were cut down to 3 days a week against my choice and last year when it got back into the busy season new servers were hired, multiple servers lost shifts and we began fighting for shifts. When I started I was told by the owner I'd get PTO and health insurance after 6 months (this never happened). After that I found out the same girl started at $9/hr I was furious and had a chat with operations manager and he said he'd give me both PTO and Health insurance in addition to apologizing for how the business had treated me as a server. There is also the case of how our tip pools works. There were several times servers who worked the same hours as me and had more on their paychecks. I brought it up to the GM, who said it was a glitch in the system/the numbers didn't carry over from the system->excel-> payroll and he paid the difference every time I caught it but I'm not sure how many times they paid me incorrectly.
My question is there a case for me to receive backpay starting from when the wage increases started to April 2023 when I got my raise, back pay on the health insurance/PTO I'm owed, and an audit to see if there were anymore paychecks I was not paid my fair share on? I know for a fact it wasn't based on performance as when it came to sections, I was given the highest volume sections every night and generally averaged the most in tips/tip %.

I like this girl. We've been going out a lot recently and have been talking a lot. But haven't talked about where we could end up..(I know.. I gotta grow some balls and just have the talk). Help. I am concerned. For the last 5 days, I have been continuously losing weight. I was 117 lbs, and this morning, I weigh 110, which means I lost about 7 lbs. That was only 5 days. Moreover, I am bulking so this does not make any sense. What could this mean?

I slowly peek out and see that my mother's favorite vase had been thrown at the wall and everything on the counter had been flung off into the kitchen as I walked over I saw my father outside smoking a cigarette and my mother is cleaning, so I not knowing what to do I help clean, a few minutes ago by and he comes in saying that I shouldn't help her clean her mess all I tell him is that I want to help so the house is clean He doesn't respond to me but instead yells at my mother more and she yells back and I don't know what to say or do so I stay silent and clean up, He goes into his room and I finish cleaning with my mother, so I'm not sure what to do so I just go to hangout with my sister we talked and she cried for awhile and we had the dog in her room with us because she didn't want to be neer either our parents. So after awhile we take the dog out our mother comes out to clean the porch and we talk and I ask what the hell happened, she told me they started to argue a bit and she got mad and hucked a thing of peanuts at him hit him on his cheek so he got mad and yelled calling her a whore and a cunt and flipped out and flung everything off the counter and threw her favorite vase at the wall hitting my nieces toys with dirty water, "I cleaned them all up they are all good" and he took off his wedding ring and threw it at the floor at her and said he wants a divorce and her being already really pissed said sure that she would call her dad to get a check to do it, she started to cry telling me and my sister so my sister hugged her for a bit then they started cleaning the porch again and I sat on the bottom steps with my dog as my father came out to smoke, they start yelling again and stop fast after they tell about divorce again and finally realized there are kids and parents next door who can hear them he goes in we sit out for a bit longer and then go to my sisters room again with the dog, as I'm writing this my sister is on the top bunk reading her book while I'm laying down on the bottom bunk with the dog. I just don't know what I should do about all this.

I need help finding a wattpad book I read once, last I read I think it was getting officially published so I'm not too sure if it's still on wattpad but this is what I know:

-The main character eventually finds out that a weird sorcerer dude is his uncle, said sorcerer dude has his mouth sown shut and speaks telepathicly directly into your mind. It turns out that this was because the guy had made a deal with a(or was it the?) Devil where he would receive power but if he ever spoke a single word his soul would be forfeited.
-We meet Sam the doppelganger chained up in his vampire 'brothers' basement. Turns out the original non doppelganger Sam was vampire dudes bro but he died from I believe touching a cursed statue. Which brings up the question in the book about what a doppelganger that could not kill and devour the original would do if I remember right. The vampire brother sees doppelganger Sam as a monster and does not consider him his brother which the doppelganger really doesn't give a fuck about.
-pretty sure that after a little while the main character and the doppelganger actually develop a good relationship even if vampire bro continues to see Sam as a monsterous abomination.
-Theres some weird Skyrim level tomb shit going on underneath the 'brothers' house.
-At one point later into the book the vampire brother finds another vampire who he begins to look up to, but begins acting like a complete asshole because it's a very high and mighty vampire he idolises.
-The majority of the start of the book takes place in the vampire and Sam's house

I went to a rave last night with some friends. I got really fucked up they took me to the ER. I felt scared and I wanted this guy to come and get me. We are close, he’s told me that he will take care of me. He really didn’t want to come and get me. I had to beg him to pick me up and I offered to pay him, he tried to logic his way out of not picking me up. But he did finally start driving when my friends came back and were going to take me home. Was I asking for a lot? Does this show that he’s not a ride or die?

For a bit of background, I've been recorded minor ice hockey games for many years, the past 5 or so have been on a Canon G30 which I've been very pleased with overall.
This past year I upgraded to a Canon G70, and for the most part the whole experience has been very good, especially with the 4K recording quality.
I am posting this as I am curious if anyone else has had any Canon G70 autofocus weirdness.
A handful of times, the G70 has lost focus mid game and struggled to re-acquire in my experience until the next start/stop. Now ice hockey arenas are notoriously bad place to video, but I will admit anecdotally my G30 did not have this issue.
This lost focus is not a frequent occurrence, but I am curious whether it's specific issue with my unit, or something with the G70 model mechanics, software etc.
I probably wouldn't have noticed had I not had years of experience with the G30 (and HF M40 before that...).

I am 17 and currently work at a bakery and have a pretty close relationship with my boss because I am one of her two employees. It is an up and coming bakery, so it doesn’t have a store front or sales right now, it’s just being developed. I help her make recipes that she comes up with and get paid $12/hr for this. It is a great job and I plan to be loyal for the remaining year of high school, but I haven’t really been making a lot of money. I have to pay for my car insurance, rent, gas, and other bills so it’s a lot as a teenager and I only make about $300 a month. I have been secretly looking for second job because money has been so tight. Now that it’s summer I have so much more time. I found a position at Sonic and before you attack me, there isn’t many options that are close to me and I don’t want to waste gas. I was hired and I told my other coworker and she told me that it was wrong to take a job and not tell my boss. - My character is captured during the war. Your character is a nurse at the POW camp that helps him and they escape together and go on the run.
- Set in the late 1940s in the wake of WW2, my character returns from war to find that his fiancée/girlfriend, is engaged to another man. Perhaps my guy was declared MIA and the girlfriend/fiancée thought he was dead and moved on?

Hello guys, I hold a master's in accounting and passed level 1 and level 2 of the CFA on my first attempt. Am I required to provide an alternate place for my tenants after flooding?
I’m freaking out. I’ve never been a landlord and I just achieved my dream of moving to another state and decided to rent out my old home. I’m now out of state and the house flooded 4 days after the tenants moved in. The cause is still unknown and apparently the entire house flooded in about an hour. (It was not raining so that is not the cause) Now a contractor is telling us the floor in the whole house needs to be replaced, the kitchen cabinets and the bathroom cabinets. Basically the entire fucking house needs to be remodeled. I don’t understand how an entire house could be flooded in an hour and leave no trace of its origins. This is a one and a half year old house btw, so my mind is blown.
Anyway am I supposed to re-home them? The house is in Texas. We decided to use my father in law as a property manager because he owns several properties, but has proven utterly useless.
I wish I had just sold the stupid home.
