Explorer Spring Update
2023.05.31 05:32 No_Advertising4588 Explorer Spring Update
| Red Laces Pair were cleaned and conditioned a month ago. They have not yet been brushed today so are looking dusty. I generally brush them every evening after I get back from the forest, dog park, or beach. Yellow Laces Pair were conditioned 3 weeks ago for a military memorial service where I was permitted to wear civilian attire. Their last brushing was 2 days ago. The dog was cleaned and conditioned probably never ago. submitted by No_Advertising4588 to ThursdayBoot [link] [comments] |
2023.05.31 05:26 _Kat_5028 Have you seen my stolen white hyundai sonata? Life is falling apart piece by piece Buffalo, ny
My white Hyundai sonata was taken from the parking lot across the street from El Pueblo corner mart and Elcarajo sport bar. The parking lot is right on the corner of virginia st. and west ave in buffalo, ny. My car was previously broken into a couple months ago (rear passenger window completely smashed and ignition tampered with) but it was never stolen. I wasnt able to afford to put a new window in it so i covered it to the best of my ability with a plastic shower curtain and white duct tape. Fast forward to today, i walk out to my car so i can get groceries and its gone. I have a UAlbany sticker on the windshield (passenger side) and a green circle sticker on the driver side windshield that says “permit” written in red or white- ironically the sticker is, or at least was, my parking permit for the parking lot my car was stolen from. I attend Ualbany and im currently trying to pay off my last semester (5000$) before the next upcoming fall semester so i can attend. I cant go to work without a car, therefore i cant pay the 5000$ to attend college. And If i do find a job where i can commute via public transportation, all that money will be redirected into buying a new car because i commute about an hour and 15 minutes to college and without a car, what am i suppose to do? Take a 200$ Uber? The best part is i cant even get a new car without paying off my previous semester first. If i work just to buy a new car, i still have 5000 to pay off just so i can attend college. This is going to set me back, Im going to have to wait until the spring semester- which at that point i dont even want to attend anymore. Im sick of life treating good people badly. I had a stuffed bunny in my car, i had it since i was a baby. It was extra sentimental because i had gotten it before my dad passed away. Its the only physical thing i have that connects me to that point in my life. Whoever took my car, you took away the most important part of my childhood. I miss my dad everyday, you know he died in the bed with me and my mother? I woke up laying next to my dead fathers body, to my mom screaming bloody murder, red and blue lights bounced along the walls. I was a young kid, all i had after that was my stuffed bunny and you TOOK THAT. Please help me find my car, i need my stuffed bunny. Its the only thing i have from when he was alive. My mother also just got diagnosed with a rare brain disease which doesnt make this situation any better. In fact, it makes it 10000x worse. Now im 4 hours away from her with no car! All i want is to research cancer and help all people, thats why im devoting my college years to biochemistry and molecular biology, so one day, i CAN actually be researching cancer and helping humanity. Dont know if that’ll be possible considering i can never catch a break in life. Im a poor college student, not rich. My last 20$ that i was going to use for groceries was in my car. Im so so so done with life. Please share this post and If you see my car please let me know…

2023.05.31 05:25 genteelbartender MMH Purchased Luby's
Well, our worst fears have come true. MMH has purchased Luby's and instituted a new set of image improvement qualities, effective immediately. I spotted some of the below in the new training manual - Parking $40 (all spaces are handicap, but valet is mandatory). Valets must dress in class Luby's uniform OR wear church clothes.
- Tea ladies - It's time to bring this into the modern era. Dress: sexy librarian. Sugar is cubed only, brown or plain. Each glass contains a single cube of bespoke ice.
- Classic rolls supplied by Swedish Hill bakery @ $7/item.
- We no longer serve Jell-O , BUT offer edible foam. served by a duet of acrobats at the end of the serving line
- Don't worry, we're keeping the classics!
- Long Horn Cattle, acorn fed calf liver, Georgetown Farms spring onions
- Heritage Ranch Calf Shank, Swedish Hill bread leavings, Clark's oyster gravy
- Musk Ranch bouef roast, extraneous pepper, cost
- The classic cafeteria line we all know and love is in place, but as more of an example of how things could have been without our beefy servers.
If anyone else has insight into this development, please post!

2023.05.31 05:16 mossboss3 I’m turning 21 in a few months and still don’t have a drivers license.
(F20) I live in an area where I don’t have to drive to get around although I am semi reliant on rides from family. If I need to I get to where I have to go on my own. I do have my permit but I am practically terrified to drive! I was in two accidents in less then a year and I am still dealing with the trauma. I went most of my life with no car related incidents. My family is very insistent that I get my license but I’m two nervous to drive my dads car after I crashed it the first time. When I mentioned this he was very upset with me for trying to refuse his car even though I was afraid to drive it in the first place. I don’t have that much time left before I turn 21 and if I don’t get my license I never will. Am I just being to sensitive? Should I just suck it up and drive my fathers new car or is there an alternative option to practice driving.
Note: I’ve already taken and failed one road test. I was so nervous that I froze during a parallel park and had to stop the test due to my inability to function. I was very scared. In regards to the second accident I had smacked my dads car into a pole trying to pull into a parking space. I got nervous and hit the gas instead of the break, it was my first time try to park in a lot. Driving school is also too expensive and I can’t afford to pay for it even if my dad wants me to. We did it once with a set of 5 classes and while I learned it was not enough to prepare me for the road test and it cost way to much.
Anything would be better at this point I’m stressed and running out of time

2023.05.31 04:28 -Jagoff- Places to practice driving.
While my teenage daughter has had her driving permit for some time now... She has been given very little opportunity to practice and get her required hours in for a full driver's license. I was hoping to be able to rectify this, and take her to practice. At least on the weekends that she is with me.
Do you fine folks have any recommendations for a good location to start in the Peoria area? She is still in the parking lot/no traffic stage of learning.
Unfortunately, she never took her oppertunities to drive during Drivers Ed in school. They didn't enforce it either.

2023.05.31 03:53 JigSawDingus Parking on Campus
Hi there, I have been wanting to get a parking spot for the summer. I signed up on the site and I see that the parking under the libarary is only accessible after 5pm. Since they specified a set time for parking in the library garage, would I also be restricted to time slots to access the parking spot that I got a permit for or is it open at any time during the semester?

2023.05.31 03:36 criduchat1- Is anybody else already getting nervous about student loan repayments starting?
My rent in my VHCOL city is going up by $250/month this summer when my lease renews. My salary is certainly not increasing that much, plus my loan repayments will be around $300/month based on my IBR information according to my loan officers. So that’s effectively $600/mo I’ll be poorer in a few months compared to where I was at this year, and this year wasn’t exactly a walk in the park financially. While I wasn’t paycheck to paycheck, I’ve essentially cut everything extra that costs money (gym, eating out, even driving on the weekends to save gas) out of my life except my daily Starbucks to keep afloat. With all that, it’s hard to imagine I’ll be down another several hundred every month. I feel like I’m going to have absolutely zero savings when I leave residency.

2023.05.31 03:01 HopefulKnowledge1979 Tennis Permit Refund Hell
I bought a permit to play tennis in McCarren Park. It was massively raining that day. I'm supposed to get a free coupon to reschedule. I received nothing by email. I call Parks Department. They scream at me and tell me to call McCarren Park tennis directly. I call McCarren Park. They tell me to call Parks Department. I contact 311. They tell me to call Parks Department. What do I do now? Thinking of just moving out of the City.

2023.05.31 01:57 seasidedream Health Care Aides are becoming a regulated profession?
I’ve read a few things here and there about why they plan on doing so but very little information on when this will be implemented and how much this is going to cost each worker when they go to renew on the health care aide directory. If we have a big bill coming up, knowing the amount ahead of time would be nice!
I fully understand why the government feel that HCAs should be held to the same “standards”as LPNs and RNs, however, HCAs don’t “practice” restricted activities, only activities of daily living. This is NOT the same thing and the scope of practice is what separates HCAs from LPNs. And currently why one requires an annual practice permit and the other does not.
Money grab? I’d like to hear from you!

2023.05.31 01:38 Maggie7420 Eyesore help please
| Need suggestions please on how to mask this parking pad. My dad showed the “landscaper” what he wanted in regards to creating a pad further back in the yard; was in the hospital when the “landscaper” started so had no say in the final outcome. My mom is depressed with the expense (close to 9k) also they plowed over attractive landscaping to make this and is afraid someone is going to get hurt falling off the side of it. I was thinking some metal planters to use as barriers instead of plastic parking stops and would love some other ideas. Thank you and for anyone familiar with pads like this, do permits need to pulled or shouldn’t a structural engineer check it out? submitted by Maggie7420 to LandscapingTips [link] [comments] |
2023.05.31 01:37 that_one_rubik_dude Season pass renewal/upgrade
My wife and I have gold season passes but want to upgrade to platinum next year to go to other cedar fair parks. Would it be cheaper to upgrade this season and pay the renewal at the end of the season for the platinum, or just upgrade at renewal time? Or is that even an option and/or is there a difference?
