So,u need to buy something online and theres no time for it to get to your place because you’re leaving for another city,but if u send it to that city u r guaranteed to get it.
[1] So how does one go about doing this? Are there general places throughout the US u can send orders to,to pick up? Im gonna guess these r ups & fedex stores? Could u use the post office?
[2] Do u just put the address of the facility in your shipping details and u’ll b good? Like will they even really take it and/or hold on to it when it gets to them? Do u have to call and let them know before hand? So many questions. Like geez what do u do? Pls help

Which is understandable, I would never blame anyone for asking rent on their 20 year old lazy son (in this case they took me in at the age of 6 and now take care of me and my 2 siblings, so even more reasonable)
for about the past 15 years I've been glued to my computer, lazy, only did my chores if I was told to, spend all my money on Games/Toys (which I guess if I HAD income in the first place that wouldn't be an issue) I had worked about a year ago, but I was a tag-along with my aunt's boyfriend at a tree company making about $40 an hour, and in the span of 3 months I had spent my entire salary on fishing gear, games, toys, and other non-productive hobbies (just to put my priorities into perspective)
About 2 years ago just before covid started I had broken up with my girlfriend of 2 months, and since then I stopped going out aside from Fishing(alone) and hanging out with my best friend and his girlfriend (which consists of the 3 of us playing computer games next to eachother, lightsaber sparring and boxing... so basically not going out)
I just lost any motivation to Find a girl, or go out in public for any reason that doesn't benefit my entertainment/enjoyment, I realized that I only need my hobbies to keep me happy, but due to that, it's been 2 years since I've willingly talked to anyone other than my 2 best friends, which from my perspective is fine, Why should i go out of my way to meet new people when I already have the people I want.
I feel super uncomfortable talking to anyone that I don't know, Walking into a random store, to hand a random employer my resume, seems impossible, I've tried applying to several places online (cabelas, canadian tire, tim hortons, bass pro shops, and several more via indeed, but no avail)
I also signed up for a youth employment agency, I got paid to learn how to work, got heights, and first aid training I needed for roofing/tree work, but after checking with several companies near me, none have called me back.
I also fear that when I do Get a job I'll get fired within weeks, to explain I dropped out of high-school because I simply hated it, I skipped every day until I got kicked out and then tried a second school, and same thing happened, I Want to work but I know if I don't get hired at a place I don't like, I'll end up not being motivated to go to work, and then get fired.
TLDR:
Honestly hard to put it all into a short summary, but basically, I've lost all my social skills after a breakup and 2 years of not going in public, My priorities are my hobbies, and even though I've tried to change that, I can't just drop my hobbies.
I Dropped out of high school for skipping too much, and so I fear if I do get a job, I'll just get fired due to me not being motivated to go, I have worked once as an arborist, but I was able to choose if I went to work in the mornings or not, but I know a real job will not let me do that.

I just lost any motivation to Find a girl, or go out in public for any reason that doesn't benefit my entertainment/enjoyment, I realized that I only need my hobbies to keep me happy, but due to that, it's been 2 years since I've willingly talked to anyone other than my 2 best friends, which from my perspective is fine, Why should i go out of my way to meet new people when I already have the people I want.
I feel super uncomfortable talking to anyone that I don't know, Walking into a random store, to hand a random employer my resume, seems impossible, I've tried applying to several places online (cabelas, canadian tire, tim hortons, bass pro shops, and several more via indeed, but no avail)
I also signed up for a youth employment agency, I got paid to learn how to work, got heights, and first aid training I needed for roofing/tree work, but after checking with several companies near me, none have called me back.
I also fear that when I do Get a job I'll get fired within weeks, to explain I dropped out of high-school because I simply hated it, I skipped every day until I got kicked out and then tried a second school, and same thing happened, I Want to work but I know if I don't get hired at a place I don't like, I'll end up not being motivated to go to work, and then get fired.
TLDR:
Honestly hard to put it all into a short summary, but basically, I've lost all my social skills after a breakup and 2 years of not going in public, My priorities are my hobbies, and even though I've tried to change that, I can't just drop my hobbies.
I Dropped out of high school for skipping too much, and so I fear if I do get a job, I'll just get fired due to me not being motivated to go, I have worked once as an arborist, but I was able to choose if I went to work in the mornings or not, but I know a real job will not let me do that.

I work as a cashiepacker at a grocery story in my city and yeah interacting with people is something I inevitably deal with everyday, the only reason I haven’t quit yet (which im still considering) is because it pays better than any other job I worked at and being a packer is so much fun for me because I get to organize people’s shopping carts like tetris and bag their items in silence without having to talk or look at them. The only part I hate is replacing a cashier when they need one (because they have to train all of us in case this happens) because that would mean I would have to constantly have a smiling face and make small talk with customers (which this is unavoidable because everyone likes to say something or make jokes with the cashier). Not only that but confrontations with customers is also something that happens and I absolutely hate it, most times I just avoid it and sink into my shell to let someone else deal with it. I also have to worry about people giving me cash which I suck at counting and math, the only reason why I passed was because we were allowed calculators in school!!!

I myself don’t even notice it sometimes. Sometimes I even feel myself disassociating because im so locked into autopilot mode I hardly remember much that goes on in the day.
Despite that, one of my supervisors and I once were discussing how Im working and all (because everyone gets evaluated on how well they do at work) and he mentioned that I could try to do more promotions and stuff. I told him with a smile and thumbs up “I will try my best to fix my social anxiety for this” and he smiled back telling me “In service, there is no social anxiety” and I gave him the big eyes, the fact he wasn’t joking I simply couldn’t hold back a silent scream of pain. He seemed confused because he said “You dont seem like you’re socially anxious” and I told him “Probably because its a mask” and he responds saying “Really? But you have such a big personality!” and I honestly didn’t know what to respond I think I shrugged at that point because he wasn’t lying. At work I always showed up being energetic and happy to be there a little more than the rest of my coworkers when the truth was I dreaded being there and every moment leading up to going to work too. This situation just made me realize how good I am at telling people what they want to hear instead of telling them what I actually wanna say or think. Kinda sad that it’s all fake but at the same time its the only thing that actually pays me so I gotta tough it out😅

AITA for uninviting my daughter to our Christmas gathering?
Bear with me, I am on mobile.
I am a mother of 4 children. Two older sons and two younger daughters. All of them are adults and have moved out a long time ago.
I have always been close with my daughter Sally, while Penny has always liked to have her own space. Which I don't mind, theyre both beautiful talented young women that I thought I couldn't be more proud of.
We're having early Christmas this year. First week of December I was inviting everyone around for Christmas Dinner, gift giving and the lot.
When I Phoned Penny yesterday to clarify a few things she mentioned that she and her husband would not be coming.
When I asked she said that they had seperated for now as he had cheated. I said that it was surely better to spend time with family if this was the case and maybe she should come home for some time.
She ummed and ahhd but then eventually she told me he had an affair with Sally and they had been seeing each other for the past 2 years.
I felt sick. For the past 6 months in our talks, Sally has alluded that she had been seeing someone and was typically girl-in-love.
I uninvited Sally to the Christmas gathering and blocked her. I don't know if I'm able to deal with her before Christmas but this is family time and family can't hurt each other like that. I'm at a loss in all honesty. Penny is now coming which is good because at this time she needs stability of people who love her imo.
The problem is that Sally naturally thinks I'm in the wrong. It's none of my business and as her mother I can't block her and remove her from the family.
My sister thinks I shouldn't get involved in their personal lives which I think is bs. My daughter needs us right now. But then she tells me "I have two daughters to think about". Which I think isn't true. Sally has forfeited that right atm.
Thankfully my husband is liaising with Sally atm but he is also in solidarity with me.
So are we in the wrong for uninviting a daughter for Christmas??
Edit: my husband showed me that this had gotten a lot responses. Too many for us to answer them all but we will be reading through before bed.
A small update: Penny's MIL found out. While me and her have only spoken a few times, she did dote on Penny and I know Penny got along well with her. I haven't spoken to her personally, but I know she phoned my daughter and was really supportive and crying.
My sister said that if Sally isn't invited then she isn't going either. Which is fine by me - she wasn't invited in the first place due to the pandemic. Otherwise I've been working and doing some crochet so it's been quiet :)

Hello all! My Christmas gathering was yesterday and my son & husband wondered if I would post an update for you all.
It's been rather uneventful, but I've been equally surrounded by warmth and love while also feeling heartbroken and lonely.
So first of all, since my post, my husband has been teaching me to use reddit! I've really enjoyed being in some craft communities 😊
My daughter Penny has been staying with us. She works from home. My husband and eldest went to get some more of her stuff from her old house. Pennys mother-in-law (Jane) was there and was very helpful and sweet. She also bought some mint hot chocolate for our penny and Christmas candles. I know they're her favourite.
From what penny has told me, Jane is having similar feelings to me. A lot of guilt over our children's decision to hurt people we love. I think at this point we have to accept that we did our best raising them, but they're adults now so we can't beat ourselves up.
Penny and Jane are going to stay in touch. I think Jane truly does think of penny as a daughtefriend 😊😊
Onto some more negative things. I wrote my letter to Sally during this time. I expressed that I was extremely disappointed and also disgusted. While I will continue to have a relationship with her, she won't be welcome to any family gatherings with penny present unless penny has met a point in her life where she feels comfortable. I told her what some of you had said, that not taking a side would be a side and that she had for all intents and purposes, already uninvited herself when she was so cruel to her sister.
Sally had apparently come up on Friday and knocked on the door. I was out shopping at the time. My husband spoke to her. Apparently, Sally and Michael (my son-in-law) are going to continue their relationship. I will not support it in any way or form. She may be my daughter but that man is not welcome. I am supporting penny through the divorce, and if Sally ever expects money for the wedding or a house then she's a very naïve girl. My husband sent her away, after which Sally said we'd have to get over it someday.
Otherwise, the Christmas gathering was lovely. It was strange not getting drunk and playing boardgames due to covid, but still a pleasant time. My hip hurts from the cooking 😭 but husband and penny did the cleaning up so who's the real winner?

I hope this message finds you well. A lot has changed since I last spoke with you all, so I would like to update you because I am finding things a bit difficult right now.
First of all, Penny is doing well! She met someone new about a year ago; they're incredibly supportive and sweet, and they made such an effort in getting to know me and my husband. Penny was still living with me when she started seeing them, so I got to watch their relationship develop - and although Penny is a grown woman I couldn't help but be reminded of when she was a child and having crushes. It was very endearing and I'm glad I got to witness firsthand the smile her new partner gives her. Penny also got a new job and has moved to Ireland with her partner.

Finally, my husband passed away 9 months ago. He fell while on a walk and hit his head, and was there for some hours before someone found him. It's been a difficult transition, to put it mildly. Being a little bit on the older side, I've lost a fair few people in my life and while I did grieve, I always had the strength to continue. Losing my husband made me realise how much I relied on him. Not just to take the bins out, or pick me up from choir practice, but all the times I was angry, sad, and overwhelmed and he was there for me.
When other people passed away at least you get moments of respite in the grief, where you just sort of "forget" they've passed. With my husband, there are only reminders. Every time I wake up alone, when I now have to take the bins out, when I have to cook a meal just for one person. There's not really a moment of peace in this grief and I have found it very difficult to deal with. It's his birthday at the end of November, and there was another moment of grief as I had to get rid of my notes for birthday gift ideas in my notebook. Everything has just been so painful to deal with and I just cannot stop crying even after all this time. I just can't even stand to think of the good moments I shared with him because it just hurts too much. I know there's not a correct way to grieve or time-limit, but I just feel like I've got to get up and start looking after myself for everyone around me.
I really want to thank any of you that read this. It's been incredibly helpful just to be able to share my feelings a little bit. I hope you all have been doing well.

AITA for uninviting my daughter to our Christmas gathering?
Bear with me, I am on mobile.
I am a mother of 4 children. Two older sons and two younger daughters. All of them are adults and have moved out a long time ago.
I have always been close with my daughter Sally, while Penny has always liked to have her own space. Which I don't mind, theyre both beautiful talented young women that I thought I couldn't be more proud of.
We're having early Christmas this year. First week of December I was inviting everyone around for Christmas Dinner, gift giving and the lot.
When I Phoned Penny yesterday to clarify a few things she mentioned that she and her husband would not be coming.
When I asked she said that they had seperated for now as he had cheated. I said that it was surely better to spend time with family if this was the case and maybe she should come home for some time.
She ummed and ahhd but then eventually she told me he had an affair with Sally and they had been seeing each other for the past 2 years.
I felt sick. For the past 6 months in our talks, Sally has alluded that she had been seeing someone and was typically girl-in-love.
I uninvited Sally to the Christmas gathering and blocked her. I don't know if I'm able to deal with her before Christmas but this is family time and family can't hurt each other like that. I'm at a loss in all honesty. Penny is now coming which is good because at this time she needs stability of people who love her imo.
The problem is that Sally naturally thinks I'm in the wrong. It's none of my business and as her mother I can't block her and remove her from the family.
My sister thinks I shouldn't get involved in their personal lives which I think is bs. My daughter needs us right now. But then she tells me "I have two daughters to think about". Which I think isn't true. Sally has forfeited that right atm.
Thankfully my husband is liaising with Sally atm but he is also in solidarity with me.
So are we in the wrong for uninviting a daughter for Christmas??

A small update: Penny's MIL found out. While me and her have only spoken a few times, she did dote on Penny and I know Penny got along well with her. I haven't spoken to her personally, but I know she phoned my daughter and was really supportive and crying.
My sister said that if Sally isn't invited then she isn't going either. Which is fine by me - she wasn't invited in the first place due to the pandemic. Otherwise I've been working and doing some crochet so it's been quiet :)

Hello all! My Christmas gathering was yesterday and my son & husband wondered if I would post an update for you all.
It's been rather uneventful, but I've been equally surrounded by warmth and love while also feeling heartbroken and lonely.
So first of all, since my post, my husband has been teaching me to use reddit! I've really enjoyed being in some craft communities 😊
My daughter Penny has been staying with us. She works from home. My husband and eldest went to get some more of her stuff from her old house. Pennys mother-in-law (Jane) was there and was very helpful and sweet. She also bought some mint hot chocolate for our penny and Christmas candles. I know they're her favourite.
From what penny has told me, Jane is having similar feelings to me. A lot of guilt over our children's decision to hurt people we love. I think at this point we have to accept that we did our best raising them, but they're adults now so we can't beat ourselves up.
Penny and Jane are going to stay in touch. I think Jane truly does think of penny as a daughtefriend 😊😊
Onto some more negative things. I wrote my letter to Sally during this time. I expressed that I was extremely disappointed and also disgusted. While I will continue to have a relationship with her, she won't be welcome to any family gatherings with penny present unless penny has met a point in her life where she feels comfortable. I told her what some of you had said, that not taking a side would be a side and that she had for all intents and purposes, already uninvited herself when she was so cruel to her sister.
Sally had apparently come up on Friday and knocked on the door. I was out shopping at the time. My husband spoke to her. Apparently, Sally and Michael (my son-in-law) are going to continue their relationship. I will not support it in any way or form. She may be my daughter but that man is not welcome. I am supporting penny through the divorce, and if Sally ever expects money for the wedding or a house then she's a very naïve girl. My husband sent her away, after which Sally said we'd have to get over it someday.
Otherwise, the Christmas gathering was lovely. It was strange not getting drunk and playing boardgames due to covid, but still a pleasant time. My hip hurts from the cooking 😭 but husband and penny did the cleaning up so who's the real winner?

I hope this message finds you well. A lot has changed since I last spoke with you all, so I would like to update you because I am finding things a bit difficult right now.
First of all, Penny is doing well! She met someone new about a year ago; they're incredibly supportive and sweet, and they made such an effort in getting to know me and my husband. Penny was still living with me when she started seeing them, so I got to watch their relationship develop - and although Penny is a grown woman I couldn't help but be reminded of when she was a child and having crushes. It was very endearing and I'm glad I got to witness firsthand the smile her new partner gives her. Penny also got a new job and has moved to Ireland with her partner.

After uploading all documents and choosing a bank, we received a lending estimate pending a credit check. When we suggested that we might approach another bank ourselves for another pre-approval just to shop around, the Aussie broker strongly suggested that doing so will harm our credit score.
My questions are: Does submitting multiple home loan applications harm your credit score and/or affect your borrowing capacity? Is it not in my best interests to shop around for a loan?

This is something I have quietly noticed over the past 6 months which I am surprised has not garnered more attention. I’m not sure why, maybe there are many more of these individuals than I previously thought. Maybe I am the minority in this. Maybe it has became so normalized that people have become desensitized. However, it is causing the game to be almost unplayable for those who choose to play honest and fair. If you are a duel server regular in NA you probably already know what I’m talking about. However, for those who are not you may be thinking I’m talking about hacks, macros, or lag switches. No, this is much worse then all of those.
It first started around Christmas time in a typical east Wardenglade server. I was getting my ass beat by a low level who claimed he was not smurfing. I was surprised by this because he was playing very well. Quick reaction time, hitting every counter, even when I would 360 quadruple feint (a recently removed exploit allowing a basically unreadable attack). Now these were extremely difficult for even the best duelist to counter. Naturally I called him out for being a Smurf seeing as he was only level 96. He swore he wasn’t so I asked “how are you doing this.” He replied “I’m cracked bro.” “yea yea but actually if your not a Smurf how?” thinking he might be using some sort of auto counter program. He said “no bro I’m literally smoking crack right now” At the time I thought this was just a shitter joking around like any typical multiplayer game. However, in retrospective this was just the beginning.
Several weeks later I was going though the low viewer twitch channels. I came across someone who it somewhat known in the duel servers who I will not name for obvious reasons. They were just doing typical duel streamer activities, however, every 10 minutes or so they would turn their camera off for a short period. I was somewhat confused why but just assumed they were smoking marijuana. After maybe 30 minutes or so I assume they forgot to turn their camera off because I saw what they were really doing. Smoking crack. You may say oh maybe it was just a marijuana pipe. No, I know my way around different types of pipes seeing as my uncle Ron would consistently have me working at his tobacco shop when I was 9. Once realizing he didn’t turn his camera off you could tell he felt embarrassed, but tried to play it off like he didn’t do anything. He was playing incredibly well during the course of this stream, dying maybe once or twice in 40+ fights. I didn’t think about this too much after, there are degenerate drug addicts in every game.
Now this is where I started to notice this was a problem. A while later I was in a voice call in the training ground discord with several very good duelist. They were helping me out giving me tips and overall we were having a good time. 20 minutes in one of them said “crack time?” And the others replied “crack time.” Somewhat confused I look at my 4th monitor to see their webcams and they were legitimately smoking crack. I asked “are you guys really smoking crack?” One replied “you have to if you want to be good at this game.” I was shocked and left the call after this.
Since then I have noticed more top level duel streamers smoking it. As well as seeing “crack time” typed in the chat often. This is something a casual Xbox player who is not as involved in the discord would never even notice. However, it is starting to become rampant in the community. I love this game and try very hard to become better because the mechanics feel so good to me. There’s too many options! I would love to hear if anyone has had experience with these, or others. The only place I won’t go is Iron Brush, two of my friends went, and the line work on both tattoos was horrendous.
I’ve been to so many shops too, that aren’t the best at actually drawing my inspiration for me, so that’s a must.
