I thought of this a few months ago and couldn't find somewhere to post it, but since I saw a post similar I'll post it here. I think it'd be a cool idea to add a church. Hear me out: Inside the church there will be normal rooms like children's rooms (music box spawn), bathrooms (mirror spawn), storage rooms (voodoo spawn), a kitchen, the worship room (terrot card spawn), an attic (ouiji board spawn), and a basement. Within the basement though there will be a small door that you have to crouch to get through and it will be unpredictable to find as it can spawn hidden anywhere within the basement. Through this door will be where summoning circle would be found and it'd be considered the "secret seance room". In the graveyard there would only be one optional place for hiding and it'd be in the tool shed (full of tools for upkeep on the graveyard and where monkey paw would spawn) making it difficult on harder levels with less hiding, as the ghosts favorite room could be in the shed or anywhere in the graveyard as well. Luckily there will be big and small tomb stones to hide behind (just not actual hiding spots) to help ya out so it wouldn't make it impossible to survive in that area, but it would be difficult (which makes it fun right?). That being said I've thought of a new special cursed object as well, but it'd only be avaliable on this specific map and would spawn randomly anywhere in the graveyard. It'd be a decaying head and the head would have a random amount of usable teeth that you'd pull out. Holding a tooth in your hand during a hunt would have major consequences, but also major benefits. Pros, holding a tooth during a hunt will make your stamina temporarily faster and last a maximum of 10 seconds longer for each tooth. It can be used for multiple hunts. Cons: every second you hold the tooth it takes away 10% sanity and other team mates not holding a tooth will not be able to run until the tooth/teeth are completely used up or you're no longer holding it. If 2 or more players are holding a tooth at the same time the effects work as normal, but anyone not holding one would not be able to run. When a tooth can no longer be used it will Crack down the middle. You will know how many you have that are usable within the head (maximum of 4) because any that cannot be pulled will be chipped or cracked and discolored and the ones that can be used will be perfectly healthy white teeth. Pros and cons: when the ghost isn't hunting, the teeth do nothing making this the only cursed object useless outside of a hunt. This cursed object is especially fun because you can collect the head (by picking it up and pulling your first tooth) and the teeth (by using the teeth completely) to show off in your lobby. This cursed object would stand out in your collection as it would be an entire head with hair and decaying flesh with a BIG smile full of 28 teeth when completed (or small depending on the amount of teeth you've used). I really think this is such a cool concept and wish I could submit this as a serious request, but if they don't take them I hope you all enjoy it in your imagination. Scripting The story comes to life through scripting. Additionally, it provides the story room and time to develop.

Create a video:

The creation of the video, which is afterwards produced and given life, takes up the majority of the following work.

One of my favorite episodes, not just of family guy but of all Tv, all-time, is “Brian and Stewie”. I feel like it’s so hard to have that novel-like existential conversation in a tv show without being cringey, but this episode hits the nail on the head. But then I looked up what people thought, and it seems to be mostly negative feedback. It’s, by far, one of my favorite episodes of television ever, one that I return to frequently - do people really hate this episode that much and I’m just too much like Brian too see it, or did I get the wrong impression?

You may or may not have heard of the Osiris Shaft. If you haven’t, it’s a place beneath the Egyptian pyramid where the public can visit. However, what less people know is what’s beyond the walls of the shaft.
I was with a tour group in the Osiris shaft. It was amazing. A once in a life time experience for most people, but for me, my experience was probably once in a blue moon. Maybe the first experience for anyone.
I broke off from the tour group to take some pictures. I wasn’t sure if it was allowed or not, but I didn’t want to leave empty handed. The wall that supposedly shielded off more to the public. I headed down that wall, snapping pictures along my way. I came across a section of wall which was different to the rest. It was a different shade of yellow. I looked around and noticed a tiny gap in the bottom corner of the discoloured wall. I looked back at the tour group, then into the gap. I carefully placed my camera through the gap and squeezed through after it.
I stood up. It was pitch black. I couldn’t even tell what was ahead. I slowly went forward down what I assumed was a tunnel. I reached a small shaft, surrounded by wooden beams. I could see dim light. I climbed down the ladder, shaking at what I might find. When I reached the bottom, I turned around. I tried filming with my camera, but after about one minute, my SD card ran out, and I didn’t have the spare on me. There were lamps along the wall, all connected to the same wire. What was this? I thought it must be something that maybe some geologists or historians set up for their work down here. I couldn’t be more wrong. I went on down the lit up tunnel, half hoping I’d come across a person. I reached the end of the corridor. I saw the most out of place door imaginable. It was iron, like the service doors you see on the tube. It was very rusty. I heaved it open and walked through it.
The other side was pitch black. Slowly and cautiously, I walked forward. Every step felt risky. One step. Two steps. Three Steps. Four steps. As I went for the fifth step, my foot met with something hard and I went over. As I was getting back up, I had the idea to use my camera flash as my torch. As I did, I directed it down to see what I’d tripped A rail. I looked directly at my feet. Another rail just in front of my feet. I was on a train line. “What the fuck” I said out loud. I went back into the door, thinking it was a modern subway. Then I realised, it could either be a modern subway or possibly a mineshaft railway with mine-carts at the ends. I decided to walk left. I walked slowly, keeping to the left side of the railway.
After a while of walking, I suddenly came across something. This is what changed my entire life. A train. It wasn’t moving, it looked abandoned. It was silver and looked like the Chicago Subway trains. The door and small windows on the front were boarded up with wood. I walked up to the front of the train. I climbed onto the small front step, and with my forearm and elbow, I broke down the wooden board. It fell apart like polystyrene. I walked into the cab. The technology was so advanced. It had a massive GPS system to the right hand side. I couldn’t be sure if it was modern or not some sort of advanced technology from Egyptian times. I went over to the massive GPS system. It was a map that looked like it glowed. What I assume were stations marked on the GPS, were all in Hieroglyphics. What the hell had I discovered? I busted the next wooden board that led from the cab into the rest of the train. The carriages were so different on the inside. The decoration down the walls above and below the windows was amazing. There were pictures of Pharaohs on all the seats and they appeared every meter or two along the top wall. In my mind, I still couldn’t escape what I was seeing. This is history that was widely covered up, but why? I carried on down the train. The doors were even decorated too. I eventually found a missing door and jumped through that. I walked the way I was walking before, on the left of the train. Suddenly, I reached a station. It was so different to the kind of things we had. The layout was somewhat similar to Tube stations. Their was one railway, then a walk way between the other platform where there was the railway going the other way. The station seemed abandoned, for sure. But was it an old part of a still in use station? I went up a set of stairs, which were decorated with the same designs again. I reached the top, and it was walled of. They’d completely sealed it. However, it didn’t stop me hearing the faint voices on the other side. Where ever I was, a certain life form lived here. Humans? Possibly. Alien forms? Equally possible.
I backed up down the stairs and jumped onto the same railway as the one before. I had to keep exploring. On my way to the next station, I came across another train, but passed by it. Suddenly, I came out of the confined tunnel. The tracks stopped dead as I did. I can never forget what I saw. There was an active transit system going in and out of this huge structure. It was insanely tall and wide. It had stairs leading up it, it had Egyptian patterns carved into it. It was taller than any pyramid. Suddenly, I was hit with the crippling feeling of being watched by lots of other… well… life forms. This definitely wasn’t human. The feeling grew, so I turned and legged it back down the tunnel. I could hear something behind me. I passed the second train, then the station. Eventually, I reached the first train. Not far to go. I reached the open metal door and ran in. As I was closing it, I saw white glowing eyes running at me at an inhuman speed. I slammed the door shut before it could get in and sprinted back into the Osiris Shaft. For me, I’m never trusting anyone again.

I was wondering what/if there are any paranormal or peculiar things/entities that live in ADK. I will also include a story if anyone could give feedback on it would be appreciated. Thanks In advance
Context- I’m a student boarding in Lake Placid and have often been running trails in the forest (alone) and I’ve had some strange experiences. I’ve had a conversation with a cafeteria worker and they said stuff about Bigfoot sightings.
Story- As I mentioned earlier, I would run trails. I always would go alone. I always felt a weird presence or like feeling every time I walked into the woods. So every day I would run up this trail (cobble hill for any locals) and go around a lake (mirror lake) then return back to school. It usually took me 40 mins or so. Earlier in the day I felt more comfortable on the trails but it’s such a weird feeling once the sun starts to set. It’s like the “golden hour” where you can see the light glistening through the tree branches. Regardless, when this would happen it’s like my gut gave me that feeling right before something bad happened. Usually I get this during the time I’m on the trail but it significantly worsened when the sun was setting. It was like something or someone was watching as well. I’m sure if that’s how to explain it. But it’s like that feeling when someone is staring at your back. You know they are but you can’t really see them. Additionally I would typically have earbuds or headphones in blasting music. I would constantly reassure myself that it’s just me and I bumped the volume up to pump me up. I also often shouted verbal phrases. Some were motivation (as I was trying to do cardio) and the others were like “go away” or “I don’t want to deal with this” etc. Since I had this strange feeling I often would shout those things or similar to I suppose scare it? Or maybe make me not afraid because I’ve heard of some stuff feeding off of fear so if I was fearless then it wouldn’t bother me? I’m not sure. I remember sometimes I either thought or maybe mumbled under my breath to “bring it on” etc. again partly to motivate and another to challenge whatever i felt was there. I also have heard sticks or leaves crunch behind me. However this could in just be me stepping on a branch and it moving further back or wildlife but still. I would always look behind me. I always thought something was there. Granted maybe this is the insane part of me but I would smile and laugh thinking it was funny and then just ran faster. If I stopped moving I felt scared. I would hear something. Maybe a bird or chipmunk and it would freak me out so I would always have to keep moving. But this one time was different.. I stopped to grab a drink of water and I swear I heard my teacher yell something along the lines of “hey what’s up (my name)” and “wait up.” Like the voice was so similar to what my teacher sounded like. It came from where I came from on the trail and I knew that I was the only one on the trail. Not many people do it and my teacher was either at home or at the school so I knew it couldn’t be. So I booked it. Constantly looking back and texting my friends about what happened. Like I was genuinely scared. I’ve thought about it over and over and can’t wrap my head around it. I know it sounds absolutely crazy but it felt so real. I was by myself and couldn’t record of course so it’s my word against everything but It was so strange. If anyone has any ideas of what it could be and proper steps that’d be amazing.
Another thing- my eyes were watering like crazy typing this. As soon as I stopped it went away. Could be explain but I feel worrisome

First of all, I'm not blaming the game design at all, this is purely my own gameplay at fault.
I come from FPS Tactical Shooter or atleast where the enemies are meant to be seen, not blend in with the environment, utility usage, small-scale teamwork, and aim accuracy and precision is the utmost importance. I'm talking Valorant, CS:GO, R6:Siege, Destiny 2 (PvP side), and Titanfall 2. I have no experience in the CoD franchise.
I only have small experience (that are miniscule in comparison with the previous genre) with Battlefield-like gameplay with big and open map that you can traverse. The only similar game I remember playing is Battlefield 1 on a friend's account which I did decently enough and Planetside 2 for ~20 hours and I can say for sure I suck at.
So, i'm curious as how should I approach playing this game. Where I can get shot from tens of angles just from peeking or leaning my head since that's all I remember vividly from my 5 hours of playing this game.

Valorant, CS:GO and R6: Siege: I can clear an angle one by one with mechanical movement technique (jump peek, jiggle peek, angle advantage, peeker's advantage, etc), listening to various sounds (gunshot, footstep, utility placement, etc) or by using my utility to disrupt my opponent's view, make them reposition, or simply gaining an advantage.
Destiny 2 (PvP) and Titanfall 2: I can go run and gun just fine and my utility is like an add-on (relatively minor compared to Val, CS:GO, and Siege) to my gameplay

So, How do i approach this type of genre? How can I not get shot 5 seconds in trying to reach a position? What should I be doing?
I think my main problem is visibility, where I seem to have been killed by enemies i did not even see. With Battlefield, atleast there's a ping mechanic where enemies are tagged with an icon in your vision and minimap.

Well, this is going to be a little different.
First thing I want to say is that Kev will be back. I’m not the type to sugar coat things, he’s in a pretty sorry state, but he’s going to pull through. He’s a tough bastard.
In case you haven’t clued in yet, it’s Mike, I might not be as much of a wordsmith as Kev but I think I can keep your interest.
She was about five foot four, pale greasy skin and pitch colored hair that was just about to cross the double line from shiny into gross. Early thirties I’d guess, but with the strange shit Kev and I have gotten ourselves into she could be a million, or put together yesterday for all I know.
She was a “ Shame Monger” which was as esoteric of a job title as it sounds, and the first context me and my little buddy had on our current assignment.
The place we’re in is an old, decrepit arcade, I’m surrounded by shadowy figures sticking to the dark recesses like insects.
Kev is somewhere deep within the place sticking his neck out with God knows what ( I mean, I do as well, but I’ll let Kevin relay shit when he’s up to it.), and I’m making small talk.
“You human? “ I say, she’s not offended but raises an eyebrow.
“Are you? “ She has an edge to her, human or not, she’s seen some shit.
I laugh, running a hand over the branded lines mimicking clown patterns Art left me with after that stay in his gulag.
“Sometimes I forget about the braille.
Yeah, %100 sadly. “ I lean on the counter as I speak.
“Me too, you haven’t been working with the watchers long, have you? “ She sounds concerned, “ I’d suggest finding a new job. They have a bit of a reputation. “
“Long enough. “ I’m wary now, information is a resource I’m not willing to part with easily.
I don’t think she’s wrong, mind you, every day I spend with these wizards by another name, I like them less and less. Being sent with Kev, Jr, and the voices in my head, wandering across the country to find something called “The Fleshsmith”, is the best case scenario in my opinion. Gives me some breathing room.
“How do does one deal in shame? “ I say after a long silence. The glitched beeping of the machines becoming grating.
“Not as spooky as you’d think.
You play airsoft? I’m Tori by the way. “ Tori says, lighting up a small black cigar.
“Never got the bug, but I’ve heard of it, and I’m Mike. “ I reply.
“Well Mike, I play, and it’s a great hobby. Lots of physical activity, lots of equipment to learn about, it’s got something for everyone. For the most part, it’s an exciting activity .
But, think of the factory that makes the plastic ammunition. It’s integral, but it’s cheap, easy to make, monotonous, and far removed from any of the interesting facets of the hobby.

She gives me one, it tastes of rose and a rich, almost syrup like tobacco.
“Sorry to disappoint. No, extraction is pretty painless, uses a kind of blotter paper. And to the best of my knowledge, ghosts aren’t a thing.
As I said, things are safe and boring. “ Tori says, taking a seat on a black waist high stool.
I let her statement hang for a moment.
“So what’s with the big guy trying to blend in, waiting for me to leave the counter? And why did he come with 2 friends and a running engine? “ I say, low but casual.
I can tell she’s annoyed at my insight.
“That’s nothing horror adjacent. Just a good old fashioned shake down, cost of doing business.
He doesn’t know exactly what goes on here, but him and his associates know it’s profitable enough they can squeeze ten grand out of me a month. “ Tori shrugs, putting out her cigar.
“You can’t give someone a discount to rattle their cage? “ I ask, curious.
“Listen to you. “ Tori laughs, “If your butcher asked you to get shot for them, would you jump at the chance? “
I make eye contact, I can’t help but smirk.
“I’ve gotten shot for less. “ My comment gets a sideways look.
“Mike, I’m seeing you, and I’ve got to say, kinda seems like you’re full of shit. “ Her reply is harsh, but I can’t blame her. I’m dressed like salesman, facial scars or no.
I don’t reply. I walk to the grimy, dim, wet floored men’s room.
Someone who chooses my line of work doesn’t get into it because they have great impulse control. And unfortunately, I’m not unique .
Since I’ve got here, I’ve felt scared, small, ineffective. I know you guys have seen Kevin’s point of view on things, and it makes me seem like some kind of wrecking ball, but that is 50 per cent showmanship, 30 per cent planning and 20 per cent not caring if I lose a piece or two.
But this situation, some low rent semi-connected asshole who thinks he’s Don Corleone? It calls to me.
The clothing I wear is designed to be reversable, and with a few adjustments, I’m no longer wearing a cheap looking used car salesman’s suit, but an antique tuxedo with a 1940s design.
The mirror is grimy as hell, I try to clear a spot, but the sad, octogenarian Esque flow from the tap isn’t up to the task.
But it’s clear enough to reflect him, standing behind me. I jump, and my heart starts to pound.
“Not the time for this. “ I say, pacing.
I try to look away, but there he is, in the corner of my vision, each time. I’d close my eyes, but that’s what he wants, he gets closer when I can’t see.
For a half second my vision is taken up by a crystal clear image of his face. That angular, pale visage inhuman by any standard, but haunting in it’s echoes of a past rooted in mortality.
I stumble backward, slamming into the wall. Panting, my eyes locked on his almost-there form.
He’s tall, wicked, and everything about him exudes power. He’s taken to looking like me more and more lately. But a twisted, malignant reflection, what I could be if I let this pulp novel of a corner of reality have it’s way with me.
“Fuck off Demi! “ I say, getting to my feet, “ I’ve got shit to do. “
Still don’t know if he is just another hallucination, or who he says he is, but Demi and myself are on pretty poor terms as of late.
I hear the bodyless old ghoul whispering what I assume are dark threats as I open a small tube of what I like to refer to as ‘Mike’s Mix’.
A combination of preparation H, topical anesthetic, and just a hint of clown white. Laugh if you want, but it stops a hell of a lot of incidental injuries in my line of work.
Demi starts to fade and I see what I can of myself in the dull mirror.
I’m a little too old for the phrase, but I’m sure a lot of you folks out there would refer to the cliché spook I’ve cultivated as “Cringe”.
I don’t disagree.
But, it’s the game I have to play right now. I’m not some invincible cursed killer, but you know what, I can certainly play one on T.V.
(Did I just try to relate to kids, then make a joke from a 40 year old commercial? This is why Kev does the writing.)
I walk out of the bathroom, reeking of fear sweat and tainted water. The foot and a half lucite rod is tucked up my sleeve, I tap the end of it against the wall as I walk.
The guy is six feet, easily, he’s fifty or so, but making up for it with trips to the gym and a few friendly doctors if I don’t miss my guess.
He doesn’t take the bait, just keeps talking to Tori, once he looks to me, I can tell he is asking her who I am, she’s smart, she shrugs after looking over.
I had an entire plan where I would embarrass the man, get him to send some guys, and make things so costly he just gave up on Tori. It’s a classic, but if it ain’t broke and all that.
But plans, like the people that make them, tend to fail at the worst times.
Once I get within striking distance, the guy turns, his speed isn’t supernatural, but a lot more than I was expecting. His punch lands well enough that I don’t remember starting to fall.
The second finishes the job before I can get my bearings.
The darkness creeps in and in it’s peace I realize how stupid it was to go in this half cocked. I was jonesing for a fight I could win so badly, I went in without a plan B.
I need someone to reign me in, back home it was Eli, here, it’s Kev. As the last bits of conscious thought leave me, I feel bad about leaving him alone.
It's the stifling heat that wakes me up, before my vision clears I smell hot, cheap leather, old vomit and years worth of attempts to mask the smell.
I’m soaked in sweat, the air is like a sauna. I’m sitting in the back of a car, I wouldn’t call it a limo, but it’s clearly built for comfort, in optimal circumstances. There’s a tinted glass partition separating me from the front seat, it’s cracked slightly, I try to tell if anyone is there, but have no luck.
“Can’t say this is a new experience. “ I say, to whoever may be listening.
I try kicking out the windows and the partition, they don’t budge a millimeter.
“If you are up for talking things over, I’m game. “ I try to pry the overhead light loose, and that’s when I notice it.
It's a note, in a thick plastic sleeve, wrapped around my forearm and stuck with some kind of adhesive.
The pain is horrible, made all the worse by the constant pouring of sweat literally putting salt into the wound.
Said wound isn’t deep, a few layers of skin down, enough to weep blood, but far away from pouring. But if this kills me, it won’t be exsanguination. Depending on how long, whoever, plans on keeping me in here, I worry about infection, necrosis, pretty much all the members of the Untreated Wound crew.
I take off the suit jacket, and tear it into strips to use as makeshift bandages, I have a feeling I’ll be needing plenty by the time this is over.
My left arm is slow and clumsy as I open the envelope. I hope it’s just shock, or swelling, not nerve damage.
It reads:

If I just went up to the guy with a threat and a pipe, I’d have either won or lost, and that’d be the end of it. But my genius self succeeded in convincing him I was scary enough to toss me… here.
It dawns on me that there is something obvious I haven’t tried.
As I pull the latch on the passenger side door, something inside me tells me to stop.
Visually, I can’t really describe what it looked like opening the door. The brief period before I saw what was beyond was the visual equivalent of trying to catch a greased pig.
I was left with a view, an identical car interior. The other car parked impossibly close, Their doors seeming to blend with their exteriors.
I enter, as a great man once said “Buy the ticket, take the ride. “, and my dumb ass need for assurance, bought me one hell of a ride.
Once I get in, the driver’s side door closes, and I find myself in the same sweltering heat, in the same backseat.
The damp leather sticks to my arms, I start to calculate how much water I’m losing by the minute, and the math scares the hell out of me.
I try going through the door a few more times, but the more I do, the more I realize, it’s the same car.
The fear becomes as oppressive as the wet heat, I’ve researched a hell of a lot of things from the watchers library, but infinite Oldsmobiles didn’t come up.
I’ve been disarmed, but left with my phone, and wallet. I’m kind of impressed they managed to find 99 per cent of the equipment I can hide in a suit, but hey, %1 is better than nothing.
The phone makes a useless bludgeon, I quickly retire the idea, and figure, even neutered as it is ( I find I can get online, but little else.), it’s better doing phone things than broken.
The good news is frighteningly slim.
I’ve got a few feet of polymar tarp, folded in the wallet, useful for a lot of things, but most important in my situation will be trying to get some kind of drinking water.
An emergency credit card knife, barely useful little thing, won’t do me any good in a fight, but might be a useful tool.
Three strike anywhere matches, a small hook and length of fishing line.
My lips are cracked and bleeding, it can’t have been more than an hour or two, but I’m starting to feel heat exhaustion set in.
I think I’ve found something when the knife sinks into the thin leather of the overstuffed backseat, but the shoddy blade encounters some kind of solid matter, and as I pull the knife out, the leather seals itself.
I stay still, trying to conserve energy, trying to formulate some plan.
He sits beside me now, his looming hunched frame bent in the confines of the car. His face is a blur, but I know beneath the shadows he's smirking.
“I’m way too tired for you Demi. “ I say, wiping what feels like a liter of sweat from my forehead.
His repeating, echoing laughter proves me wrong, I shiver, despite the brutal heat.
It can’t have been more than a few degrees, bit It feels like getting splashed with ice water.
The light in the car begins to dim, and with it, the soul crushing temperature of the luxury automobile drops.
I scramble to set up the tarp, I was banking on this, without some kind of temperature drop, the plastic sheet is useless.
Within an hour droplets have began to create a small stream, collecting at the cone shaped tip of the suspended tarp. Lacking anything to put it into, I catch the liquid in my mouth.
It's foul, and likely contaminated, but it’s my only option. If I’m stuck in here a week I can get by without food, brutalized by heat, I won’t make it 2 days without water.
I feel exhausted, wondering exactly how long I’ve been stuck here I check the time on my phone.
It’s almost random progression does nothing to comfort the surreal sense of dread that is enveloping me.
I don’t know when I passed out, but I wake up laying across the reeking leather, being dragged backward.
I feel fingers, dozens of them, clawing, scraping, trying to gain purchase. A crevice begins to open in the deep black leather, and I begin to be dragged into it.
I throw myself forward, landing painfully on the sticky, grime ridden floor of the car.
Fear, and the awkward ergonomics of my situation make turning around a slow, nerve wracking chore. Once I manage to, I regret the decision.
Hands, some small, some large, some seemingly cobbled together from mismatched scraps, slowly pull themselves from the crevice between the seat and back of the back seat.
They prod and crawl like insects, none ever giving way to arm, just a lumpen flow of calloused, wrist like structure, giving each an segmented, centipede like appearance.
I sit up, watching the macabre display, trying to make some kind of sense of it.
I actually scream when there’s a sharp, loud, mechanical ringing beside my head. The type of analogue noise that went out of style long before land lines did.
It doesn’t take me long to find the handle and pull out an ancient car phone, it’s a two part wood paneled brick of a thing, I pick up the receiver, “Hello” I say, a question as much as a greeting.
The voice is male, probably early twenties.
“Don’t worry about them. They can be an issue if you don’t sleep on the floor, but I’ve never seen one drag itself more than half way across the seat. “ He’s calm, but has a survivors hushed impatience.
“Who are you? “ I ask.
“I won’t lie to you man.
I’ve been in here a while, but now that there is someone else, I think I can get out. Call me Pol. “ I catch the hopeful tone in his voice.
“How? “ I say simply, still trying in vain to put more space between me and the hands.
“Not to sound cold, but if I tell you, there is a chance you just take the information and leave me here.
The first step is us meeting, you’ll know the plan by the time that happens.
I don’t lie. “ If nothing else I can say Pol seems smart.
“Fair enough, what can I do? “ I Trail off at the end of my sentence, one of the hands is pointing at me.
“You need to understand a few things about this place.
First, don’t travel at night. Nothing you are going to find is going to be any better than the crawlers.
Second, remember the numbers, 1, 5 and 9. I’m assuming you have a watch, or a cellular phone? If the time ends in one of those, you’re likely to find a new space.
Last, what’s outside of the car, on the driver’s side, pretend it doesn’t exist. “ The instructions are cryptic, but I’m in no place to turn down good advice.
“How do I know I can trust you? “ I ask, knowing the answer.
“Don’t see how I could be anything other than what I say.
Wouldn’t it be pretty obvious if I was trying to lead you astray? “ Pol’s response is reasonable, but a lifetime of being blindsided makes me wary.
“I guess so. What should I be doing now? “ I say, flipping off the hand like thing that continues to point at me.
“Get some sleep. Time, day and night cycles, they mean nothing here, and passing out in a hundred and fifty degree weather is a shitty way to go.
I won’t be able to get through during the day, so listen carefully.
If you time your travel right, you are going to be looking for two main things. The first is going to be a pillow mint, eventually you are going to starve either way, the human body needs more than just sugar, but you should be able to find enough to keep you going till malnutrition kicks in. The second is a soda can, it’s a sip, and it’s turned, but it’s better than trying to lick the droplets from the windows. “ I listen to Pol, hopefully memorizing his instructions.
Daylight brings with it reek and heat, I watch the hands scuttle back to within the recesses of the seats, shuddering a bit as I see wave like, movements in the cushions.
“God damn it. “ I say looking at the display on my knock off phone. About %50, for all I know I’ll be out in 15 minutes, but I’m not banking on it.
I watch the numbers flash by like a stock ticker, waiting to see if Pol is trying to screw me over or not.
I see 1:39 and crack open the passenger side door.
The same sweltering heat, the same basic backseat, but I know, at a glance, things are not quite identical. Part repetition from the day before, part a decade and a half playing private eye, but I can tell Pol was telling the truth.
Lipstick, smeared on the passenger window, an old handprint. It seems like something bad happened here.
The leather of one of the headrests is torn, I purposely avoid looking at the certainly not stuffing inside.
It’s like this place wants to tell a story, I can’t help but try and hear it.
I don’t find any soda, but I do find a single, red and white pillow mint, wrapper mostly in tact, sitting in a sticky patch on the floor.
I try my luck a few more times, using the cell phone as a kind of metronome, and while I do get a lot of repetition, every so often, there is a little change, or quirk.
I’ve collected two pocketfulls of mints, and found myself desperately hoping to stumble upon anything to drink. Another night of distilled sweat, dust, and God knows what doesn’t seem appealing.
I must have been too slow opening the door, I’d done it over two hundred times at this point, and the grey haze of this new variation set off every danger instinct in me.
It felt like I was being watched from every angle, despite the gloom the heat was worse, and seemed to bake a fungal reek into the air itself.
The door handle on the passenger side is mangled, the steel colored plastic twisted into a useless lump.
The leather seems slightly rotten, weather stripping peels, light fixtures are cracked and loose, it feels very, old.
I watch the phone, my eyes instinctively darting around, there are noises from the front seat and I doubt they have my best interests in mind.
I’m trying the mangled door handle but something is broken.
That being, said, with a car this old, the fish hook, with enough persistence could work,
I Peel back some of the stripping around the window, te hook begins it’s slow trek down into the mechanics of the door.
I scratch my wounded arm, it hurts, but that isn’t what concerns me. I feel a small, irregular lump.
I peel back my makeshift bandages, and what I see attempts me make to vomit stomach contents that weren’t there.
Small, brown grey mushrooms, a half dozen, about the size of a grain of rice. I feel a tingling in the wound, and panic sets in.
Opening a door like this requires a steady hand, but between the noises in the front seat, and the literally budding body horror on my arm, my nerves are shot.
I hear the partition begin to lower, and that rotten, fungal reek becomes nearly a physical force. My eyes water, my nose runs, and I hear a noise, like flowing sand.
I feel the hook dig under the proper part of the lock and pull up as I feel something wet soak through my shoe.
The door opens violently, not that I’m upset, I toss myself forward like I’m going for a touchdown, my forehead slams off of the armrest in the newest backseat I find myself in.
Before the passenger side closes I catch a glimpse of the mess that spilled from behind the partition. Rot and flesh, an aborted rotten attempt at life enraged at the universe that spawned it.
I actually feel relief at the blinding sunlight, and shining leather, and find myself relating to the monsterous mass I left behind.
I look at my arm, realizing I didn’t leave all of it behind.
“Oh, fuck me. “ I say, fumbling the credit card knife together.
The mushrooms had doubled in size, the cheap tin knife makes a terrible scalpel, I scream as I err on the side of caution, flaying a half inch around each.
I’m bleeding heavily, half of the makeshift bandages barely keeping the flow at bay.
My vision swims, I feel sick, and I fight the urge to break down into a mentally and physically broken heap.
That’s where I’ll leave everyone. Night is falling, and without a little more help from Pol, I don’t know how much longer I’m going to last.

lotsa negativity and complaining in dis sub, but also lotsa room for creative solutions. just dropping my 2 cents on how i think the current issues of the core gameplay should be addressed (organized by category)
MAPS: Broken MM on Crescent/Tharis:
- lower player numbers for every mode of play (solo - squad)
Uneven/Misleading terrain on CF/TI:
- smooth our your textures - devs actually testing their 2nd and 3rd map, SPECIFICALLY RUGGED AND UNIQUE TEXTURES
PLEASE NEW MAP PLS
MOBS: Heavy Striders/Mature Rattlers vs Marauder:
- why green mob beefier than blue mob ? -jeff used to actually be a threat people played around and actively tried to avoid aggro. is now big joke
Mob Aggro:
- new system is cool in theory, ass in practice - needs MORE tweaks
Number of Mobs in CF/TI:
- what the actual fuck - clown fiesta in almost every POI and transition choke point - mob placement is decent, "less mobs total -> few beefy mobs" for high danger zones
Howler:
- actually fuck this thing - paraphrasing Spoon's suggestion:
take howler off the map and give it alpha crusher treatment. replace with new mini howlers that act like a flying striders that free roam the map. Less HP than Marauder, more HP than rattler. big howler is now a dungeon mob the end
MOVEMENT:
Inertia:
- literally no one asked. not even the casuals were asking for this. - "personally i can't feel iner-" don't care + didn't ask + casual - i've heard people claim it was to help desync. desync is fucking awful this wipe. - remove.
Vaulting:
- ... what do i suggest here other than please fix.
Slide Jumping:
- stronger than any gun in the game so they made it weaker - remove inertia or tune it down, but make consecutive slide jumps cost MORE STAMINA
PVP BALANCE:
Gunplay:
- reverting mid-air accuracy for shotties would actually fix so many issues with the way the guns feel. please don't give up on your shotguns .. - Gap between low-tier -> high-tier guns is noticeable for some weapon bodies (AR's/DMR's/Pistols) and unnoticeable for others (SMG's/Shotguns) - Reduce mid-air inaccuracy. Initial slide jump should reduce precision, but stabilizing in the air should revert accuracy to somewhat normal. - DMG falloff + increased recoils on SMG's is another classic case of Jager double nerfing things. Revert the recoil.
MKII:
- laziest shit i've ever seen - just remove these at this point and actually balance some of the weapon assets from the Battle Royale version of the game - i've never seen a dev company so scared to try something new while simultaneously trashing their existing systems. incredible lose-lose to witness
Aimpunch:
- ruins just about every fight anyone participates in. - makes fight priority WAY too important (who saw who first, who lands first shots) - makes my screen shake worse than Howler shotgun dart explosion. REMOVE PLEASE
White Tier:
- nerfed to shite, but still somewhat viable. - Discourage the usage of "throwaway kits" in PVE. Purp/Exo guns have value because of their ability to deal with efficiently deal w/ PVE threats -- multiple clips of white guns should be used to deal with blue armor mobs like the Marauder used to be
Green Tier:
- goat tier weapons for PVP come ups - manticore damage still outperforms phasic - slightly reducing damage outputs from green guns to higher tier armors
Blue Tier:
- how far the chosen have fallen - ica guarantee ADS sound. why - phasic dmg buff - guarantee dmg nerf + fire rate buff - lacerator fire rate buff + slight recoil reduction
Purple Tier:
- practically the only usable tier for late game players (cost-performance) - advo is a weird weapon. either too good or its shit. rn it is subpar at best. needs either a slight dmg or fire-rate buff. - gorgon is the only purchasable weapon in the game with mid-air accuracy. for a purple hitscan gun, kinda an oversight.
Red Tier:
- brute horizontal recoil needs to be reduced. a complete guessing game compared to every other smg, when it's damage output barely scrapes ahead in PVP - kor is the best weapon in the game rn. nerf hs multiplier a bit. - basi needs damage buff. should headshot bodyshot purple.
Armor:
- feels notably worse than last season, by design. has upset many players. - overall durability for armors should increase while helmet durabilities should decrease. - quest progression should unlock access to PURCHASE REGULAR GREEN AND BLUE ARMOR. just like stims
ECONOMY/QUESTS
Ammo:
- price adjustments so it doesn't increase exponentially
Quests:
- some early quests were better this season and refreshing, some very very bad and completely thoughtless - need more unique quests that get you to interact with POI's on the map, not just delivering items - story driven quests. unique quest items. unique interactions. need more engaging quests, not delivery quests
Jobs:
- better job rewards, ie gear, purp/exo keycards and faction specific weapons - job re-roll - kill a player within/over x distance - kill x players in 1 raid - kill x players with throwables - heal x amount - travel x distance - deliver x random items. rewards scaling by item delivered rarity
ok that's about all i can think of off the top of my head. hoping that when the management of Jager finally chooses to listen to its player-base, it's while we're constructively suggesting and not mindlessly raging lmao thanks for reading!

I just randomly felt like writing down how I play just in case any other solos wanted some ideas since these days I feel like I'm consistently having good wipes and always stacked. Keep in mind these strats are made only for if you're playing solo and just trying to get blueprints on a high pop server. Obviously there are better ways if you have the man power.
So here are my main strategies as a solo for how to consistently get stacked:

Trio servers are by far the best solo experience you can have imo (Rusticated US Trio being my favorite).
At the start of wipe the very first thing I do is go to fishing village and do the fishing rod quest and fish until I have a small boat. Then I loot every tool crate on the way the way to my desired base location. Doing this stacks you up on bows, cross bows, pickaxes, salvaged picks, hatchets, sometimes a jackhammer as well as enough scrap for a tier 1 right off the bat.
I usually base in between a fishing village and one of the oilrigs (highly prefer small oil) and if that isn't ideal then I base in between a fishing village and underwater labs. Basing directly on the water is imo the easiest way to get ahead as a solo.
If it is force wipe then I will fish until I have enough scrap for a submarine and some torpedos to counter the first cargo off wipe since people are less likely to buy a mini to the first cargo. Theres a 50/50 chance they leave first cargo with a mini but I have gotten some pretty insane starts doing this. You just trail cargo until they drop down with the rhib and resurface the submarine and torpedo them. This works often enough to where its worth giving it a shot.
If you're based near smoil you can take it with very minimal gear as a solo (compound bow, crossy, nail gun). I will fish for a blue card and take smoil with the goal of getting the elite in the blue room and hoping for a gun (this is a force wipe strat and isn't that worth doing if you have bps already).
If playing on wipe day on some 500 pop server, going to smoil after someone has already taken it is very ideal because there are multiple crates that respawn decently fast and I would suggest camping smoil for roughly 20 minutes just doing this. I've never done this and not gotten something useful to bp once I get home because the crates respawn kind of fast when the pop is that high. Sometimes you'll get counters but I think this is still worth attempting on bp wipe.
A somewhat safe way to recycle as a solo when you are far from outpost/bandit is if the map seed has the harbor that has the recycler that is close to the water. I use submarine to drive up right next to the recycler. You can keep an eye out and if anyone shows up you can quickly loot the recycler and jump down into your submarine. I usually build bases that include a boat base that can fit one small boat as well as one submarine. If you don't have a garage door bp yet just use double doors and take them off and put them back on when you need to enteleave.
If the harbor method works well for you it isn't a bad idea to just focus on hitting barrels in the water and recycle until you have a tier 2 or even a tier 3. The fastest I've gotten a tier 3 with this method was 2.5 hours into wipe. If you have the patience you can also fish at fishing village until you have enough scrap for a tier 2/3, I find this really boring and don't usually do it ever but if you're decent at fishing you can expect 600-800 scrap every 40 mins doing this. I say every 40 minutes because that is how long it usually takes to break a fishing rod.
On force wipe I'm not too worried about getting raided so half way through the day all i have is a honeycombed 2by2. Since I'm on the water I make a farm base on the water in the snow and this is usually a 1by1 with an airlock and maybe even an extension to the base where i can safely keep a single boat. I bring basically all my tools to this base any jack hammers i have salvaged picks, chainsaws, ect. and just farm until I have enough to make a good sized base.
If all has gone well my base will be done and I will attempt to get a minicopter and start planning a raid. The best way to raid as solo is going top down with a mini since it is much harder for people to counter you.
While doing all of this you should have a minimum of 2 furnaces at home running metal the entire time you're out of base pretty much have them running 24/7. Use a third one to run sulfur but metal is a priority for a solo on wipe day so you can log off with a strong base. Aim to have a base that costs 24-30 rockets to raid, easily achievable with a bunker.
I usually strictly play solo because I really like the difficulty of doing all of this on my own but once I'm established I actually have a discord of like 30ish players I've played with over the years and if I need help with like a raid or something I'll just @ the entire discord and usually have 2 decent players for the trio server lend me a hand even if briefly just for a raid. If you play a similar way to me I recommend making a discord server with people willing to do this. I've played like this for years so it took a while to get a decent number of people who know the drill and will do this with me.
If having a bad wipe you can always resort to just farming the ocean barrels and the sunken chests but I find this really boring and just join someone elses wipe if it comes to this. Though, it doesn't usually come to this. Doing this is a super chill rust experience though if you don't mind it.
Contest every cargo even if you think there is a low chance of success. I will try to be the first person on and try to loot the elites and just leave if I get anything exceptionally good. If nothing good comes of the elites I will wait at the bottom floor and try to grub someone for a full kit and then leave with it if possible.
If you're based near labs I recommend doing the fishing village quest to get a pump shotgun and then go to labs and if anyone shows up to counter I would immediately camp a ladder and wait for them to come up. Its best to bring a shotgun or an smg to labs, a semi rifle isn't that great here. Side tip: you don't need a diving tank to get into labs. Just bring flippers and make sure when you go underwater you are directly above the moon pool, you can do this without taking any damage and it also makes it harder for people to hear you come up.

That's pretty much all. I'm sure I missed a few things but this is all that comes to mind. I consistently get stacked day 1 doing pretty much just all of this.
If you all have other strats for soloing I kind of want to hear them as well.
Edit: It isn't uncommon to get a supply signal from labs/oil so you should grab a diving tank and drive your boat off grid with it and throw it in the water.

Tried to scramble Storm Mountain today and could not find the trail. Both Kane and GPS map showed a trail 700 meters south of the Great Divide Fireweed lot, but at 700 meters there was no trail at all. Looked around a lot and bush wacked a bit but got nothing but scratched up legs. I did this about 20 years ago and had no problem, but not sure if this was where I started from. Anyone know of an actual route up Storm Mountain and where it starts?

Wolf in Sheep's Clothing: Your calculated strikes unleash chaos among the survivors, masking your presence with the fear of the unknown. Lose your heartbeat whenever you hit a survivor. Gain the ability to stun the killer for 3 seconds while aiming down sights. While aiming down sights you are slowed to 3 meters per second. After shooting you must reload. While reloading you are slowed to 3 meters per second. Reload takes 6 seconds. You can only shoot 6 times before your item becomes useless. Reload cannot be canceled.

The Desolate Sanctuary is a hauntingly eerie location, shrouded in darkness and mystery. It was once a sacred place of worship, a sanctuary of solace and serenity. However, the touch of the fog has corrupted its sanctity, turning it into a twisted and malevolent realm.
Main Building: Desolate Sanctuary. Main Building contains 2 generators, and when both turn on the main building gains lights. (Safety: Very Safe)
Side Building: An abandoned Market Building. Side Building contains 1 generator, and when it is turned on all the lights inside turn on (Safety: Safe)

Dusty Junction:
Type: Endless Dust
Dusty Junction is a desolate, Wild West-inspired town lost in time. It stands as a grim reminder of a bygone era, its once vibrant streets now empty and weathered. The town is nestled in a barren, sun-scorched landscape, surrounded by endless stretches of arid desert.
Main Building: Saloon. Main Building contains no generators, however it is possible to activate the lights. (Safety: Safe)
Side Building: Bank. Side building contains 1 generator. (Safety: Very Unsafe)
Side Building: Hotel. Side building contains 1 generator. (Safety: Balanced)
Once these two generators are completed the towns lights turn on. This includes the main building.

This is a relatively niche issue, hence me resorting to posting about it because I have not been able to find a single fix while searching several different sites.

Downloads:
As an avid Sims player, I often download loads of custom content, all of which is downloaded from Patreon, Google Drive, Mediashare, Dropbox, and my mortal enemy, SimFileShare. Nearly every file I download off of SimFileShare gives me the error message "Failed - network error" unless it is a super small file. It is usually not an issue with the usual custom content package files, because I can just resume it until it's finished. This becomes a problem when trying to download zip files, as resuming it a bunch of times obviously results in corrupt files after unzipping. These download issues also occur in other browsers!

Since I have been having these issues, I have upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11 and reset my computer from scratch several times. In fact, the screen recordings were taken directly after a fresh install and wiping of my hard drive. In talking to family members, we've deducted that it is not a true network issue since the download and video issues only occur on my pc but work on the other 3 pcs in the house.
With that, I have scoured every single "Failed - network issue" solution on Reddit, YouTube, Google, you name it. A few things I could tell you off the top of my head I have tried tonight:

Reset all settings on Chrome
Cleared all data on Chrome
Changed my download location
Removed every last Chrome Extension
Messed with my antivirus scanning/turned off firewall protection
Made sure my time/date was correct? (was a suggestion I found on reddit lol)
Made sure my Network drives were up to date
Flushed my DNS
Literally just unplugging and reinserting my ethernet cable...

It is usually not an issue with the usual custom content package files, because I can just resume it until it's finished. This becomes a problem when trying to download zip files, as resuming it a bunch of times obviously results in corrupt files after unzipping. These download issues also occur in other browsers!

Attempts at Solutions:
Since I have been having these issues, I have upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11 and reset my computer from scratch several times. In fact, the screen recordings were taken directly after a fresh install and wiping of my hard drive. In talking to family members, we've deducted that it is not a true network issue since the download and video issues only occur on my pc but work on the other 3 pcs in the house.
With that, I have scoured every single "Failed - network issue" solution on Reddit, YouTube, Google, you name it. A few things I could tell you off the top of my head I have tried tonight:

Reset all settings on Chrome
Cleared all data on Chrome
Changed my download location
Removed every last Chrome Extension
Messed with my antivirus scanning/turned off firewall protection
Made sure my time/date was correct? (was a suggestion I found on reddit lol)
Made sure my Network drives were up to date
Flushed my DNS
Literally just unplugging and reinserting my ethernet cable...
