I've been attempting to set up a new modlist, and when attempting to sheathe and unsheathe weapons, my character will perform two different animations in succession: initially using those of my chosen mod (Extra Drawing Animations) and then following it up with another (which I think is from Simple Dual Sheathe? Or potentially Immersive Equipment Displays? I'm not sure)
Has anyone else dealt with similar issues? I'm not exactly sure how to counter the issue if I can't override the unwanted animation.

2023.06.09 22:34 extraspookyy I need help on whether I’d qualify for a first class medical

OK! I want to get a 1st class medical to be an airline pilot. But I faint. I think I was diagnosed with dysautonomia, but I’m not sure. I’ve had this issue for a while, to me it seems like a clear vasovagal syncope, but my mom doesn’t like that and wanted me to get an “official diagnosis”
So I’m a 16 yo male and I have fainted 5 times. I have an explanation for ALL of them… except for 1
  1. I got my fingers crushed
  2. I was in too hot of water for too long
  3. I was running around outside in the heat way too hard
  4. I was in class and had a really bad virus, so I wasn’t drinking enough water and fainted
  5. Idk what happened I was just in class and fainted (this was when I was like 8 or 9)
I’ve had an ekg and it was all good, but it was a long time ago
The last time it happened was a 2 or 3 years ago
Here’s what I got from the faa website
The applicant should describe the event(s) to determine the primary organ system responsible for the episode, witness statements, initial treatment, and evidence of recurrence or prior episode. Although the regulation states, "an unexplained disturbance of consciousness is disqualifying," it does not mean to imply that the applicant can be certificated if the etiology is identified, because the etiology may also be disqualifying in and of itself.
And this:
An unexplained disturbance of consciousness is disqualifying under the medical standards. Because a disturbance of consciousness may be expected to be totally incapacitating, individuals with such histories pose a high risk to safety and must be denied or deferred by the Examiner. If the cause of the disturbance is explained and a loss of consciousness is not likely to recur, then medical certification may be possible

On importing my 1.4 project into 2.0 I have very few problems, but one of them is that this check stops working right:

In broader context, this is the code that prevents buildings from being built on top of each other. Some factors here: the code is inside a script, and the objects being checked are parent objects that have parent objects, and none of the objects or their children have collision masks, since due to the efficiency requirements of the game I'm checking collisions by distance instead, typically using distance_to_object. So this check was effectively checking if the origins of any other buildings were within the specified rectangles.

I’ve been reading through the thread and know there’s some mixed attitudes towards this season/how it feels different from the rest/the family is not as tight-knit. I’ve been loving it so I was browsing through episodes to compare and realized how intentional the show is! (Maybe I’m late to the game) Season 1 episodes are titled after Chase’s activities, season 2 it alternates between him and Pat as Pat becomes super famous, finally now in season 3 it’s alternating between Brooke and Cary, who we all know are pretty self-centered, so it’s unsurprising how insufferable they are as their time in the ~industry~ and spotlight goes on. spoiler alert I’m so happy Curtis dragged Cary…Cary’s reaction makes me feel like something worse is coming and I can’t wait. Maybe next season (god willing bc they haven’t announced season 4) it’ll be “The Dubeks…” if they all come together like they did after Pat’s breakdown. This show is incredible and I wish more people watched, I could watch it forever….give it up for the Barbacado family!

2023.06.09 22:20 Secure_Village_5747 Every season ranked

Hey guys, so I just finished binge-watching the entire series last night (after six months) so I figured that i'd give you guys my opinions

11). Double Feature
pretty basic last pick but it was really the best one. The two plots themselves were pretty good and if they were there own seasons they would've been higher, red tide in particular was really clever and pretty good. That being said, it was all just too rushed. Red tide felt hollow, it felt like it had to be rushed to a conclusion with no time to make it satisfying. Death valley was that x10. The season wasn't bad but it wasn't good, it was just nothing
10). Hotel
I really really don't like hotel, it felt like they tried to do too much with it and it wasn't captivating enough to pull it off, I personally just didn't find it all that interesting. The whole season felt like I was finally getting into it and then it jumped to something else totally random. There were many positives (for example, I liked more characters than I hated, even though I hated a few HARD) but I lost interest like 2/3rds through.
9). Apocalypse
Apocalypse would've been such a great season if they'd stuck to the original plot. After they killed the bunker crew off they spent far too much time on Michael's backstory, in fact they spent so much time on it that when the season ended I literally said to myself "wait, that's it, the seasons over?" They didn't need the coven or the murder house cast back and I would've much rather seen what they did with Tim and Emily or Ms. Venable. What really turned me off for this season was Michael's death, that was the most anti-climactic death I've ever seen and he's the son of Satan. Would re watch but not right away.
8). NYC
This was a fairly good season, it took a while to get the ball rolling but once they did the show was pretty good. The season had a lot of dull moments but also a lot of really climactic moments, my personal favorite was the hospital chase between Patrick, Gino, and the Mai Thai killer. The season also avoided a regular theme of AHS which is a week ending, the requiem is one of AHS' strongest endings.
7). Asylum
I like this season but not nearly as much as the fan base does. It was a really good, efficient, and fun season but it didn't quite jump at me like that. I thought the characters were done very nicely, the plot was entertaining, and overall it was very enjoyable. This season is a safe pick but it didn't stand out to me like some others did (except for the Thredson plot-line, OMG!)
6). Freak show
The hate this season gets doesn't feel totally deserved to me. Yes, the season did decline as time went on but not significantly enough to warrant that much hate. I loved the atmosphere of this season and everything felt like it fit. Overall, solid 7.5. Get's the bump over asylum because it feels more unique.
5). Murder house
Spectacular way to start the series, this season had me constantly wondering what was up with the season and I loved it. Constant twists and turns kept you on your toes and the characters were likable enough to enjoy (I mean some were, really disliked the Harmon parents and Larry). Great series start, loved it and it had me wanting more
4). Cult
This wasn't the perfect season by any means, i'll agree that the season is far too heavy-handed with political ideology and yes the Valerie Solanas episode was hot trash. Other than that though, this season is crazy good. Personally, I love shock horror so this season was a really good one for me, I was constantly shocked by what I was seeing and on top of being incredibly captivating, just made this season so good. Also, Kai Anderson is Evan Peters crown jewel of AHS (just saying).
3). Coven
This season made me feel invested in the way the previous two hadn't, this season totally hit on most aspects. The characters in this season are some of the best in the show's run, the plot was not only entertaining but also interesting, and I was genuinely unnerved a decent amount this season (which I love). Top tier season, no doubt
2). 1984
1984 was an homage to classic horror fans everywhere. The season was just so good and captivating, I loved the characters, I loved the cultural recreation, I loved the theme, and I loved the twists. I'm usually one to predict twists before they happen but the Margaret Booth reveal totally got me. Such an entertaining watch, I was sad when it was over.
1). Roanoke
There is no season quite like Roanoke, the season didn't focus much on atmosphere which I do think is very important but the scares made up for it. The season is the most investing and was honestly what I expected when I started watching the show. I was on edge a lot this season and it truly was just such a great experience. My favorite shot in this entire season is when Rory stands up in the hot tub and faces the house, completely unaware of the army of torches through the woods. Nobody notices and this placement has no payoff but it still sent chills down my spine, it's just a reminder that they are there and watching, waiting. I loved this!!
Let me know what you think, I know I've got weird opinions but I think they're fun.

2023.06.09 22:14 RomanDeltaEngin33r A Reasonable "Run it Back" scenario; Make Harden the 5th Option & Make String Changes

TLDR at bottom but don't bitch unless you read my reasoning.
The more I think about this, the more I think the large majority of our failures comes down to poor string construction, and poor role designations / scoring option hierarchy. Harden may be washed from a Scoring/Hero standpoint, but he's still the best playmaker there is. If I am Morey and Nurse, I make three very cheap but effective small moves in FA, change role assignments, string construction and run it back under Nurse.
I bring Niang back because 40.1% from the 3 is elite, and I still maintain game 6 would have been a one possession game if Doc wasn't stupid and benched him red hot. I bring in UFA Javonte Green, who has a defensive rating of 108.9 (DPOY defensive rating is 105.3), shoots 37.1% from the 3 and 57% from the 2. He's hitting FA off a 1.7 million salary. I bring Reed back and he gets regular minutes all season long. Reed has a better defensive rating than this year's DPOY, but the sample size is obviously too small to give him DPOY over Jarren. I keep Tobias at least until the trade deadline, because depth is not the problem right now; String and Role Designations are, and trading Tobias is only going to get you depth pieces. Harden has proven he's unreliable as the 2nd scoring option, so losing Tobias right now isn't the right call in my opinion considering we can't replace him for a similar scoring option.
I make Harden stop trying to be the 2nd scoring option and focus solely on playmaking. He also stops driving to the basket; It's like watching slow motion now and he's not getting the calls he used to, which results in turnovers or blocks. Basically the 5th option is the stepback 3 when the shot clock is almost up (unless he's hot). PJ moves to the bench because we need to replace Harden's firepower on the nights he has it. Granted, he still has 30 point nights, but more times than not he is an assist machine and gets you 10-16 points in the process. The question is how many failed shots did he take or turnovers driving to the basket or fumbling the ball between his legs did he cause to get those 10-16 points?
I start Melton at the 2 and Tobias at the 3 because both are good defenders and both are shooting close to 40 from the 3. I start Niang at the 4 because he's shooting a little over 40 from the 3 and with Embiid, Tobias and Melton's defense, we can afford to do that. Tobias as a shared 2nd/3rd scoring option with Niang (whoever's open) will get you his usual 20 points per game. You can't expect him to get you 20 points a game as the 4th option on an average of 9 ball touches per game. Somehow he still managed just shy of 15 ppg this past year though, so he's getting bagged on a bit unfairly (save the 2 point playoff game where he really could have stepped up).
Off the bench I play Reed at the 5, PJ at the 4 (who by the way is shooting 40% from 3, he just doesn't get enough ball touches to get the points as the 5th option on 1st string), McDaniels at the 3 (DRTG 113.6, which is OK, and 40% from the 3), Javonte Green at the 2 (108.9 DRTG and 37.1% from the 3) and a full season of Maxey at the 1 so he gets comfortable in that role and becomes prime Lou Williams on crack. Besides Maxey that's a defensive fortress 2nd string, everybody can shoot, and Maxey has the ball in his handles, which is where he is best.
TLDR:
Bring Niang and Reed back. Sign UFA Javonte Green (DPOY-worthy DRTG & 37.1% from 3) for 3 mil.
Harden focuses solely on playmaking and stops driving to the basket, dribbling between his legs or looking to be anything higher than the 4th scoring option.
Tobias and Niang share the second scoring option on the 1st string, with D-Melt as the third.
Maxey runs the bench in his native position with a shit ton of defense and shooting around him.
Scoring option order:
1st String: Embiid, Tobias/Niang, Melton, Harden
2nd String: Maxey, Reed, Tucker, McDaniels, Javonte Green
Bet you that's ECF minimum.

Hello, my name’s Arizona…or Silver-Exit5688.
I first watched glee in 2019 but only really started liking and paying attention to the episodes in 2022.
Glee is definitely my favorite show ever, I love the songs, the characters, the storylines, the actors, etc.
But, as much as love glee I also dislike a lot of things, such as:
•the season 4 newbies storylines having an start but not an end (ex.: Marley’s ED, Jake and his race/religion, Ryder’s dyslexia, etc).
•characters adding nothing to the story (Matt, Lauren, Alistair, Myron, etc).
•the disrespect with the Glee Project winners/runner-ups (Samuel having no solos, Damian only appearing in one season, Aylin not even appearing on the show, meanwhile Blake was the winner with the most love of the creators and Alex literally having more songs in glee than Samuel, Damian and Lindsay combined)
Anyways, I was thinking of how i would change glee if I was the creator, and then I remembered I can change, obviously not actually changing glee but rather publish how I would on the internet.
So basically I’m thinking of rewriting glee and post my changes somewhere, at first I was only thinking of writing on my diary but I’m planning on writing on Word and either publish in Tumblr, Ao3 or here on Reddit.
I’m Brazilian and I’m on my second year of high school, and here we’re having a thing called “new high school”, which means I have 20 school subjects and barely have time to breathe, so I would only be able to write this during the school break, which are the last 2 weeks of July, the last 2 weeks of December and all of January, basically I could only focus on this project in the end of the year.
Anyways, that’s basically it, a project my 16 year old ass is planning to do someday
In case you enjoyed this idea what would you change on glee if could?
Also, sorry if I wrote something wrong, English isn’t my first language and although I consider myself to be fluent in English I never wrote something so big like this fully in English.

My thesis was on particles in the atmosphere and their impacts on waterways and plants, and along the way I picked up an awful lot of other information on air pollution impacts to growing plants (my postgraduate project was sponsored jointly by the meteorology and the agricultural colleges at Penn State).
After the past few days (June 6-9, 2023, and maybe a little bit next week) there have been dramatic air pollution events all up and down the East coast of the US and Canada. Once people address their personal health concerns, it is natural for gardeners to have questions about their plants. With my advice here, please understand the world is complicated, and I am not trying to address all potential wildfire issues everywhere in the world at every time; this is just for us folks affected by this specific event in June 2023.
The two most important things to know about this particular event is (1) the particles are very small, 2.5 um or smaller, and (2) the origin of the particles is Canadian forest fires. These two facts both impact how the plants will be affected and also what to do about it. It's also late spring/early summer here which also affects which plants are impacted and how much.
Q: What do I have to do now for my vegetable garden?
A: Once your air has cleared out, go out and water your plants using well water or city water. I would not use your rainbarrel water right now. Of course, if the AQI is still bad (over 150), stay inside and don't exert yourself. But once it has cleared out, go out and give your plants a good watering, being sure to wash down the leaves, especially for lettuces, leafy greens, and herbs.
Q: Anything else I should do later?
A: This sounds unusual, but *after the next time it rains, go out and wash everything down again. Think about how after you go swimming in a pool, you take a shower afterwards to get the chlorine off. The next rain will bring down some more contaminants out of the sky and you should wash them off your growing plants. Wood smoke combines with water to make a very basic solution (you can make lye from wood ashes) which can damage leaves. So after the next time it rains where you are, go out and give everything a good rinse.
Q: Should I just throw out my lettuces, leafy greens, and herbs?
A: No. While those plants are very sensitive to atmospheric particles, because those parts of the plant are what we eat, you do not need to throw them out. The air pollution has been very bad, but in good news for plants, the particles are super small and mostly stay in the air. That's why they have travelled hundreds of miles from the fires to our areas, they don't settle out of the air very much. However, when they do, they settle directly on to the lettuces, leafy greens, and herbs in our gardens, so it would be good to give them a wash with clean water.
Q: What about my strawberries, sugar snap peas, and other things that are ready to eat now/soon?
A: Wash off the plant when you are able, as stated above, so the pollution will not harm their development. Wash the food before you eat it, though, to eliminate any surface contamination.
Q: Any impact to things like potatoes, carrots, and radishes?
A: No. Just give those plants a wash with clean water as stated above as soon as you are able, and after the first rain. The potentially corrosive (basic) nature of the wood-fire particles and next rainfall will be buffered by the natural minerals and components in your soil, so no worries there. But you do want to prevent the leaves from being damaged by the potentially corrosive pollution.
Q: The rabbits are eating my whole garden, will this stop them?
A: Sadly, no. But if it makes you feel any better, they're eating my whole garden, too.
