2023.05.31 06:16 Sciatica-Alignment Alignment, sciatica, SI Joint
Hi everyone,
Sorry for the long post in advance. I was hoping to give a quick history of my symptoms for the past six months and hear some of your feedback and/or questions.
I’ve been dealing with sciatica for the past 6 months, possibly caused by lifting a heavy desk.
The first month I didn’t really know what was happening and hoped it would pass.
It got worse so I went to my doctor after a few months and he said likely lower back mechanical issues, said he thought it was not disc issue, and sent me to physio.
Physio said he thought it was a disc issue and set me up with core strength, side plank, bird dog type exercises. I did them religiously and he increased their difficulty for 2 months but things were getting slowly worse week by week.
I did tell my physio 2-3 months back that it’s weird my left leg feels longer than my right but he didn’t think much of it.
There have been days where the pain is less, but generally I feel pain in down my left side only. In my buttocks 24/7, up into my lower back I feel it most of the time, and then down my hamstring, back of my calf, sometimes around the front of my lower ankle as well, both heels get numbness (probably more of a pins and needles feeling since I’m not physically losing sensation) and my toes as well, mostly left big toe but sometimes the other 4 on that foot too.
I was not seeing progress with physio and did read back mechanic a few times and my pain is mostly all flexion related.
Getting my left shoe on is very painful and challenging.
I did the big 3 in addition to my physio for a few days but I actually seem to be getting worse and really stopped all my exercises at that point because I was feeling near constant pain since then. I’ve been just resting and icing and light walking for probably 45 days now with zero progress.
Since it was not getting better I went back to doctor for imaging request plus new issue I noticed, alignment is bad in my back.
Two images of my poor alignment. My doctor felt my SI joint from behind (didn’t even need to look at me with shirt off like these pictures) and told me he is certain it is a problem with my SI joint.
What’s interesting is now that he has told me this the pain that I was certain was in my piriformis area really does seem to be directly on that SI joint.
next steps My doctor said he is very confident. It’s not a disc issue now and also that a CT scan or MRI would had no value.
He suggested seeing a chiropractor. Personally, I’m not a fan of chiropractors and I’ve never been to one due to some bias instilled in me throughout my life. I told him as much and he suggested he almost never suggests chiropractor either except with SI joint issues.
I’m still waiting for the hospital to get back to me about scheduling a CT scan but I do have a MRI scheduled for next week, so I’m hoping that provides some information one way or another.
The pain is pretty bad most mornings, mellows out during the day, and by evening it’s bad again. My doctor has offered medication, but so far I’m only taking Advil, ibuprofen, and more recently some muscle relaxers in the form of Robax usually in the evening an hour or so before bed.
What do you guys think about these images, the “diagnosis” thus far, thoughts on medication or not, injection for both pain relief or SI diagnosis (my doctor is always 100% sure he’s right just by looking, but I’d prefer a confirmed diagnosis and saw a surgeon speaking on YouTube about the injection method) and what would your next steps be?
Thank you!!

2023.05.31 06:16 Gcen What to do when the items you purchased fail to appear in your inventory and Pixonic doesn't respond to your complaint?
I paid for a special offer (Aether + 4 weapons) and while the payment went through, the items haven't been delivered till now. It's been more than 12 hours since the purchase. I contacted the support team, both in game and over email, but no one has it responded with a solution. The same thing happened with blackmarket chests. Two of the items I received by opening the chests have not appeared in my inventory yet.

2023.05.31 06:16 Rum_Al_Afariqa What would happen if the world were reorganized by dividing countries according to political ideology, so 1 country = 1 ideology, and people from everywhere just choose which country aligns with their beliefs and move there?
What would happen if the world were reorganized by dividing countries according to political ideology, so 1 country = 1 ideology, and people from everywhere just choose which country aligns with their beliefs and move there? So then there'd be some countries for liberal democratic republics, some with absolute monarchies, some with constitutional monarchies, some with democratic socialism, some with authoritarian Marxist-Leninism, anarchist regions with no country at all and only local communes, some with fascist or military dictatorships, some hyper-libertarian capitalist countries run by corporations, hundreds of theocracies for every religion in the world, and hundreds more for every possible political system yet invented with the only limitation being space on planet Earth (no rules, however, for space colonization.) Not to mention that it'd still be possible to divide according to culture/language, with different cultures each having many of the same set of options, e.g. monarchies for English, Spanish and Swahili speakers. Of course, at first you'd assume that within an hour they'd all start warring against each other, but let's just say that they've all agreed to a mutual peace agreement to respect the individual political wills of each person on Earth. How would society turn out?

2023.05.31 06:16 WeldAE The Success of Voting on Tesla Charger locations
Was looking through the Tesla charger map and noticed some of the new Tesla charging locations based on votes in the South East. What stands out is generally how good the choices are for the ones I have first hand knowledge of which is most of them as 7 out of 12 of them are near me. Here are my thoughts on the locations but I'd love to hear what everyone thinks, especially about the locations not covered by me.
- South East
- Appalachian Mountains
- Sylva, NC - Q4 2022 - Probably the most important addition to me personally but also to anyone that owns a Tesla in the greater Atlanta area. Anyone that lives in Atlanta tends to take weekend trips north to the Great Smokies National Park, Asheville, NC or north of Asheville to ski. There are two ways to generally travel north; Via i85 in the dead of night when the traffic is down to a dull roar or more commonly via GA-400 and then through winding mountain roads. I've yet to be able to take I85 without adding 2 hours to the trip because of traffic. It's a 209 mile trip with significant elevation changes. If you want to arrive with some driving around charge, or if you intend to head back the same day you need to hit a charger on the way in or out. There are zero chargers between Atlanta and Asheville unless you take the I85 route. To say this charger is needed is a huge understatement and it was 1st place in the first ever vote in Q4 2022 for a reason. How Tesla missed this in their own analysis over the years I do not know.
- Dalton, GA - Q4 2022 - This is the same case as the Sylva, NC just when going North-West. While MUCH less of an issue, you tend to avoid I75 for traffic reasons getting out of Atlanta and it fills in a nice gap. I wouldn't have voted for this one, it's just not a big deal that I can see but would love to hear from anyone that understands it.
- Helen, GA - Q1 2023 - This is a VERY popular day trip destination for all of Atlanta so no surprise. It's out of the way when going to Asheville so it stands on it's own as a needed charging location.
- Future - In general there is a pretty big hole north of Atlanta, home to 6m+ people so I expect more wins in future rounds of voting in this area.
- Florida
- Destin, GL - Q1 2023 - Big vacation destination location with limited ability to easily drive out to any of the locations on I10 for charging. You'll see more of these show up like this in FL where the barrier islands get chargers.
- Cape Caneveral, FL - Q1 2023 - Another barrier island location that really needed a charger. I personally have had to go 60 miles out of my way to Titusville and Melbourne, FL on many trips because there wasn't a charger in Port Canaveral, Cocoa Beach, Satellite Beach, etc. Super excited for this one.
- Okeechobee - Q4 2022 - Not hard to see why this one won.
- Key West - Q1 2023 - Having gone to Key West recently, I get why this location won, but it isn't 100% needed. I would have MUCH rather seen one in Key Largo or Islamorada instead. That said, I consider this another string in the 3 out of 4 in FL being on barrier islands.
- Future - No surprise here. More chargers on the barrier islands or peninsulas with limited access to the mainland.
- Eastern Canada
- Bromont, QB - Q1 2023
- Future ???
- North West
- Kalispell, MT - Q1 2023 - Seems very obvious, fills a massive hole. We really need more winners like this for sure.
- Future - ???
- North East - No Wins
- Future - This area of the US seems to have some of the worst lack of Tesla chargers. Not sure why they aren't winning more locations.
- Central US - No Wins
- Future - Lots of holes to fill but not a lot of population so hard to see them winning votes outside of maybe TX.
- California
- Lee Vining, CA - Q1 2023 - ???
- Morro Bay, CA - Q4 2022 - ???
- Big Bear Lake, CA - Q4 2022 - Came in 2nd place in the first vote Tesla held so very popular. It plugs a hole near a big destination but I don't have local knowledge on it.
- Future - It seems CA is well covered but also seems to have the most capacity issues. Maybe Tesla should add an option for adding capacity to existing locations in future votes?

2023.05.31 06:16 badgerr9 Returning Issues
I will try to keep this short, hello my gf suggested I look at this thread as it could help me. I found out I had adhd in elementary school and used medication for a couple years and then got off it in early middle school (6th grade ish). I never had any major issues through the rest of middle school or high school. Now I’m 24 and It seems like my issues have come back. I’ve been in denial about it for a bit but I realized that maybe it has gotten bad. I have mood swings where I could be perfectly fine and something (big or small) will “push me” and I’ll just have a downward spiral for the next few hours sometimes even the rest of the day. I have a lot of issues with dealing with simple rejection situations, being depressed, I have moments where I’m anxious and I have problems processing when people are talking to me. I tend to talk a lot, I have an obsession with music, movies etc and sometimes I never stop talking about that stuff. So much so that I get annoyed just listening to my own voice. It’s starting to take a toll on my girlfriend, she’s been nothing but supportive and she has helped me more than she can possibly know but something needs to change, she can’t spend her life looking after me and codling me with my problems. If anyone had any tips or advice for me to help deal with the depression spirals, the problems accepting rejection or anything I mentioned I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

2023.05.31 06:16 the_real_some_guy Chill Memorial Day at Verde Valley in Cottonwood, AZ
Shout out to Verde Valley Thousand Trails in northern Arizona. I think I’ve seen 5 golf carts here, none of them playing music, and three of them were employees. It’s so chill here. The weather has been fantastic. The area is gorgeous with plenty of hiking and some neat archeological sites. The park is clean. Everyone is friendly. I usually dread holiday weekends, but at risk of y’all booking my spot next year, this place has been great.
Last Fourth at the Batesville, IN TT it was a constant stream of golf carts blaring music. People just constantly going around in circles. Exactly the kind of thing all of us complain about.

2023.05.31 06:16 No_Dig_7017 RAM speeds for tabular machine learning algorithms
Hey guys, looking to benefit from the communities' wisdom here and possibly spark a bit of discussion.
Short version: does anyone know if the training time of CPU implementations of tabular learning algorithms (XGBoost, LightGBM, TabNet) depend on RAM speeds?
Longer version. I recently switched from an i7 12700KF CPU to an i9 13900k. Doing a somewhat heavy AutoGluon training (most time spent in the algorithms above) that takes 4 hours I got a 1.6X speedup from the newer processor which is great, training now takes 2.5 hours so more trials per day of work). My RAM is a 2x32GB kit of DDR4 memory that can work overclocked at 3200MHz. However while installing the new CPU it defaulted back to 2133MHz. At that speed, training was far slower, I don't recall the exact figure but something like 50% as fast. After overclocking to 3200MHz, the 1.6X speedup.
There's thousands of RAM benchmarks for games (where RAM speeds have a limited impact) but I've found none for ML. Closest I got was this video from LTT
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-WFetQjifc where he shows for some productivity apps it has a major impact but none of those are ML applications.
So my question is: are these algorithms training times sensitive to RAM bandwidth? More so for CPUs with higher core counts?

2023.05.31 06:16 NightwingBully This game is at its Worst when you try to Complete everything
Everytime I found myself having fun in GoW:R some absolutely bullshit exploration stuff ruined it for me. Allow me to explain.
I'm nearing the fight with Heimdall and do all the exploration I can beforehand. I realize I'm ridiculously low on Hacksilver, and the Muspelheim trials are difficult if your level 6 or below. I'm level 5, and can't upgrade until I get more hacksilver, which I can't get unless I either do the main story (which I THOUGHT was wrapping up, but I was wrong, I know) or do the trials.
Inevitably, I just do the main story, which is great. Then, I unlock the Crater, and get great loot and silver---Perfect. I try to fight some Berserkers ... Bad move.
Unless you're a level ABOVE any of the Berserkers they WILL 2-shot you, and since most are built for level 7 and 8, it sure wasn't happening for me.
Fine whatever, I'll just do Muspelheim again. I beat the 6 trial, great I did it!...Wait? 6 more? Okay no big deal. Hey wait, I did 1,but it's not tracking. No worries, it's probably just glitched....Nope. The "Final 6" trials are actually the final 8 trials, with 12 of them just being menial work you've ALREADY DONE, but in a different order.
Fine, whatever. I pop in a podcast and start....
Except I'm STILL too low level. Whatever. Fine.
I do some main story, and enjoy it, and start exploring some more trying to upgrade my gear when I get fucking stuck in the Abandoned Village in Vanaheim for like an hour because there's no Mystic Gateway in it until AFTER you beat the main story (for some fucking reason). Also, you can't just Fast Travel to a Mystic gateway so AFTER you do get the last Draugr Hole done, you gotta WALK all the way back.
Eventually, after scouring The Crater, I start hunting Berserkers (which are nowhere near as interesting as Valkyrie's, but I digress) and realize that one of them in in Applecore, a location which is so fucking out of the way...If you didn't set up a mystic gateway at the time, put on the radio and buckle up because it is a LONG trip out, by boat, elevator, mine tunnel, chain, cliff ledge----oh my god it was a bore. But I do it because I wanna be a completionist.
That's when I realize the last 2 berserkers (the unerring and the King) aren't even available until AFTER you beat the game. The reason for this is because the Squirrel doesn't give you the seeds to grow new gates until after ragnarok,naturally...okay, sure, but why is a side quest like this taking place AFTER the final battle with Odin. Like I get having g some quests set after the main story, like Gna and stuff, but why the Berserker King?
Anyway, I breeze through the Unerring, go to the King....And die. And again. And again....This goes on for 2 hours. You see, despite having mid-high level 8 gear, despite fully upgrading all my armor, despite synergizing my Relic, with my amulet and chest piece, despite having all 9 jewels of Yddrassil, and max level weapons, and all the riches of Muspelheim....King Hrolf still 2 shots me.
King Hrolf has 20+ different moves, used in previous Berserker fights. Some are unblockable, some are parryable, and some are just blockable. Here's the ticket though, you only get 0.25 seconds to figure out which it is. Oh look, he's jumping into the air, and glowing red, seems unblockable right? Well, if you hit him with Ranged he'll get stunned...Except if he does a spin first, that's a waste of time and you've wasted time you could have spent dodging and now you've lost half your health.
Oh look, now he's throwing lightning, you can block that....Except when it's in a line, that's something you need to dodge---and quickly, because ot tracks. Dodge too soon, it'll track you and change course, dodge too late and it's path is wide enough to get you.
Here's another example: sometimes he throws slow moving orbs of elements that either burn or freeze you. These need to be pop them with a Ranged attack...Except if you have auto-aim on, it'll auto aim on King hrolf, not his projectile. So naturally you fight the game pulling the aim to the bubble and in that half second it has either hit you, the King has punched you, or both, killing you.
There is no pattern to his attacks, save isolated sequences or three punches, then an unblockable, or occasionally doing 3 aerial dive attacks in a row (another unblockable you need to dodge, just not too fast or it'll be worthless.) It's RNG and honestly it feels so unfair.
I know there's like 5% of the game I haven't turned over, but I just don't want to in order to get the final upgrade on my spear or whatever. I don't want to have to do NG+ to get the best gear, or ram my head against the wall for another hour. I feel stupid because I've put 40+ hours into this game and even reducing this boss to the lowest difficulty I still can't even reliably get him to 1/4 health.
I simply don't understand why this nobody idiot is harder than Sigrun, Thor, or Odin.
TL;DR: If you wanna enjoy God of war, just stick to the main story and the side quests you want, exploration, Muspelheim, and Berserkers aren't worth the hassle, and will actively piss you off for "not doing more" or not "getting good." This game is Elden Ring I don't understand this insane Spike in difficulty on secret bosses.

2023.05.31 06:15 bodagetta Sinus Perforation Treatment after Upper Wisdom Tooth Extraction
| Wisdom Tooth Extraction Hole I had an upper wisdom tooth extracted in February. It was split in two and the extraction was straight forward done by my regular dentist. I've had a cough for months before the extraction that was attributed to some combination of GERD, blood pressure medication (Lisinopril) and post nasal drip. Medical treatment for all of those helped the cough but it is back now. I self-diagnosed a sinus perforation about 10 days ago (~ 2 months after extraction) and visited my dentist. She confirm the perforation by holding my nose and having my blow while looking at the extraction site. She put in a collagen plug and prescribed Antibiotics (Keflex) and told me to take a decongestant. I started Sudafed 12 hour extended release. I also discontinued an oral cancer medication (Cabometyx) that slows healing. After being off this med for 10 days I restarted it tonight. The collagen plug fell out on day 2 and I'm still having intense cough, mostly when laying down. I'm unable to get more than 1-2 hours sleep at a time because I wake up coughing, have to sit up and cough up some clear mucus then eventually try to get back to sleep. I have tried rolling up a kleenex and placing it over the hole (my lower wisdom tooth is intact and holds it there). I have a follow-up with my dentist tomorrow. Anything I should ask or tips for making this more bearable? I can feel this mucus in the back of my throat sometimes like it is coming from my sinus area. Is my saliva going up into my sinuses causing the post nasal draining or is the post nasal drip coming through the extraction hole and dripping down the back of throat? submitted by bodagetta to askdentists [link] [comments] |
2023.05.31 06:15 Fine_Ad7953 Talking/Dating Advice - I feel so lost
Hey guys, I (24M) have been single for around 5 months now. I've been talking to this co-worker (20F) that I really like. We've hung out for the past 3 days in a row after work, and made out. We haven't done anything else because we've only hung out 3 times in total, and I would also want to take this at a pace where we'd both be ready to sleep together and work together.
My last relationship was about 2.5 years long but for the last year of it we had serious issues where I was physically and verbally abused/manipulated. So it's safe to say that I haven't felt this type of "liking" and connection to someone in a while, and been sort of vulnerable. I'm not normally anxious about texting or rejection, as I'm generally secure with myself and confident in my social skills. She has already brought up about it not being awkward at work as what I think was an attempt to assure that it was, in fact, not awkward at work. We're going out to brunch tomorrow, and then continuing our movie that we never finished.
Am I tripping? I feel so afraid to get hurt for literally no reason, and I'm afraid to initiate texting even though I force myself to do it because I want her to know that I'm thinking about her. Not sure why I'm not chilling like I normally am.

2023.05.31 06:15 Darwinn1337 HELP! - How can I recover a domain from a 365 tenant that is inaccessible?
I am currently stuck between GoDaddy and Microsoft trying to recover a domain that I own, that is locked in a tenant that neither GoDaddy nor Microsoft have access to.
--- Background ---
Around 3 months ago, I purchased a domain through GoDaddy to start my new business. At the same time, I naively purchased 365 licensing through GoDaddy as well, not know the significant limitations when it comes to administering the 365 tenant.
When the 365 licensing was purchased I assigned it to the domain that I purchased, and an email account and GoDaddy 365 tenant were created. At the same time, I registered the domain in the GoDaddy 365 tenant.
Shortly after this, I came to realise the huge error I had made, and refunded the GoDaddy licensing. This deleted the email account that was created, and removed my access to the GoDaddy 365 tenant that was created, but did NOT remove the domain from the GoDaddy 365 tenant.
A couple of weeks pass, and I created my new 365 tenant directly through Microsoft, and purchased my licensing. I attempt to register my domain in my new 365 tenant, only to find that it is still locked to the old GoDaddy tenant.
--- Steps taken to try and fix this issue ---
When I tried to register the domain in my new tenant, I received the error message: -
"watchcollectorcorner.com was already added to a different Microsoft 365 organization, NETORGFT13085347.onmicrosoft.com, which is managed by GoDaddy. To add this domain to this account you will need to contact GoDaddy support and have it removed."
I spent the next 5-6 hours on the phone with GoDaddy to try and recover the domain, and they cannot do anything to help. Because the licensing was removed, and the email account deleted, there is no way to gain access to the tenant from GoDaddy's side. They say that somewhere along the way, GoDaddy's delegated access permissions were removed / deleted, and they now have no control over the tenant at all. They advise me that they can take steps to migrate the tenant away from GoDaddy to Microsoft, and advise me that I need to contact Microsoft directly to request that the locked 365 tenant be "un-federated". From there, Microsoft should be able to assist me with gaining access to the tenant.
I have logged two separate tickets with Microsoft now (Ticket numbers - 36290162, 35441447) and both times I get to the Data Protection team and they immediately close the ticket with the following automated response:-
"We were able to contact GoDaddy and explained your request for the release of the domain. However, they mentioned that as the services are being migrated from GoDaddy to Microsoft directly they need to be engaged by you once more.
They explained that the request that you need to make is to help you release your organization to Microsoft Direct. Which in turn requires releasing the domain from this account.
Due to the partner agreement in place, Microsoft will follow their advice and unfortunately will not be able to take action at this time."
Someone help me... I have no idea what to do next. I am stuck between Microsoft and GoDaddy both telling me that they cannot help.

2023.05.31 06:14 Grocery-Super Using a heat siphon pump to move new hot water into a storage tank - How to make endless hot water without electricity
| We will explore an innovative method of generating hot water using a thermal siphoning process. Whether you find yourself in a grid-down situation or simply want to tap into an alternative heat source, this do-it-yourself project can provide you with a steady supply of hot water without relying on electricity or expensive equipment. Join us as we delve into the construction and operation of this efficient hot water heater. Processing img uk7t168ov43b1... To embark on this project, you will need a few materials, including stovepipe, copper tubing, a coil (which can be made with ice or sand), and a water heater that can be salvaged or acquired inexpensively. The construction process begins by creating a coil using the copper tubing, which will serve as the primary heat exchanger for the thermal siphoning system. Secure the coil inside a stovepipe by drilling two holes on one side and adapting it down to a four-inch diameter. Connect the cold water source to the bottom of the coil, allowing the water to rise through the coil as it heats up. Finally, place the stovepipe with the coil near a heat source, such as a fire. Video How to make endless hot water without electricity: Processing video qubwh0muv43b1... Once the thermal siphoning system is set up and a fire is ignited inside the stove, the water inside the coil begins to rise, utilizing the thermal siphoning process. The hot water generated in the coil is then dumped into the top of the water heater, effectively heating its contents. It is important to monitor the temperature of the coil, which can reach up to 540 degrees Fahrenheit (282 degrees Celsius). Adjusting the airflow by adding or removing stack components can optimize heat exchange. As the water thermo siphons, it will gurgle and steam, indicating the generation of hot water without the need for electricity or a pump. To enhance the system's output, you can consider modifications such as using copper tubing with ice to achieve a more optimal shape for heat transfer. Increasing the diameter of the copper tubing from three-eighths to half an inch can also enhance the efficiency of the system, resulting in a greater amount of hot water produced. However, it is crucial to exercise caution when dealing with the high temperatures and pressure generated by the system. Ensure that the water heater has appropriate safety features, such as a pressure relief valve (Popoff), to prevent accidents. Take care when handling the hot water and steam to avoid burns or injuries. 2023.05.31 06:14 GuiltyMulberry5029 AITA for shitting in the school urinal?
It all started on a nice, sunny Wednesday when I (16M) was taking a geometry test. As a matter of fact, I was doing quite poorly, so I decided to take the opportunity to escape to the restroom for a moment. I received my hall pass and went on my merry way. As I arrived, I decided that I am not going to live as a regular, average person. I wanted to make a difference in the world (by shitting in the urinal). As my stomach grumbled and growled, I released the largest, steamiest shit in history directly into the urinal (weighing approximately 86 lbs., standing 3 ft. tall). Satisfied by my new weight loss, I zipped up and headed back to class.
Unfortunately, not everyone is supportive of pioneers of the progress of humanity in the beginning. The vice principal noticed the "stench" and decided to call the janitor, which is personally quite insulting as the creator of this masterpiece. Luckily, his efforts were put to a halt as he immediately projectile-vomited all over the restroom floor and proceeded to resign immediately. Within 3 hours, a biohazard formed as the delicious stench permeated throughout every classroom in the school. As a result, 16 students coughed to death and the building was evacuated immediately.
Although my artwork did result in various casualties, I still hold my opinion strong that it is one of the most beautiful sights imaginable. Besides, all of the students and teachers were appreciative of the rest of the day off. In addition, it encouraged natural selection to eliminate weaklings. Overall, I would consider my impact on the world positive. So, Reddit, am I the asshole?

2023.05.31 06:14 RealJaxx semi-fast 4 or 5 seater with somewhat low insurance?
Okay so long story short I’m in high school and I currently drive a 2000 jeep wrangler. I’ve been looking at the 350z as it’s fast and based on my circumstances has pretty cheap insurance, but the fact that its only a 2 seater is a big turn off for me. Any recommendations for a fast-ish 5 or 6 seater car (sub 6 sec 0-60) that wont require me to work 40 hours a week just to afford the insurance?
EDIT: Budget is around $15k

2023.05.31 06:14 Wildflowerwalking Self install transfer
I am about to pull my hair out after 6 hours of attempting a self install transfer. For reference my move in date was today 5/30/23 and my scheduled transfer time was today 5/30/23. My old account is still active so I cannot access the new account provided when moving. I got an email listing the order confirmation but never an email with the full new account number and security code. No matter what I try and do my devices will not connect to the internet. There may or may not be a service outage in my area as it’s unclear if the notification came from my new apartment or old one. Any advice before I start crying like a baby? Edit: for clarification both the router and modem have solid blue connection lights, signifying they are on and online which is confusing.

2023.05.31 06:14 backpackwayne Joe Biden and Steve Ricchetti are master-negotiators and have pulled of the deal of the century
In an extremely difficult negotiation situation where republicans were using almost terrorist tactics by holding the economy hostage: - Biden got McCarthy to not only agree on a debt ceiling deal this time, but eliminated having to do it again next year. He demanded and got a two year deal
- He not only got McCarthy to agree to raise the debt ceiling, but to eliminate the ceiling altogether for those two years.
- Biden used the debt ceiling negotiations to strike a deal on the annual budget negotiations which would have had to be completed by October 1st.
- He has basically made three deals in one:
1: ----------This year’s debt ceiling deal
2: ----------This year’s budget negotiation
3: ----------Next year’s debt ceiling deal
- The $80 billion for the IRS which Kevin McCarthy and the GOP demanded be eliminated, was only reduced to $70 billion which is still the largest increase to the agency in history
- Then Biden will take that $10 billion and spread it across areas of so-called spending cuts to neutralize those spending cuts.
- Republicans had demanded 18% spending cuts across the board in all government programs except the military. They got none of that.
- And though Biden is clearly the winner in this battle, but he can not claim victory…, (yet being the key word). Otherwise the republicans may change their mind on voting for it. He is clearly letting them think they won. Well at least that they didn’t lose.
- Biden made it appear McCarthy had a victory by “forcing” Biden to negotiate. And got republicans to believe that. In reality they got nothing. They only achieved the appearance of a win. Biden didn’t care how it made him look. He just gave McCarthy something to claim as a win.
A just a couple hours ago, the House Rules Committee controlled by republicans voted 7-6 to allow the deal to be voted on tomorrow. As a personal guess, I think a secret deal made have been made to have democrats save McCarthy from getting voted out in the battle that will most definitely occur after the deal is passed. I have no evidence to support this. It's just my prediction.
Joe Biden and Steve Ricchetti are master negotiators. Never in a thousand years could we expected this to end better.

2023.05.31 06:14 Alive-Hawk8671 The Fabian Strategy: The Art of Patiently Battling Online Spam
Hey guys! I have seen recently that many people are falling victim to online scams. So I have drawn parallels with my experience in the military and how everybody can battle spamming attempts. Check it out!
Introduction: As we weave our way through the labyrinthine strands of life, we find the whisperings of strategy, harking back to antiquity, echoing in every nook and cranny of human endeavor. Strategy, in its most distilled essence, is the master plan—the overarching blueprint that delineates the path to success. Whether it's navigating the blood-soaked plains of ancient battlefields or the binary-coded universe of cyberspace, a good strategy can mean the difference between victory and defeat, safety and exposure.
Our focus today revolves around an intriguing military strategy, borrowed from the vaults of the Roman empire, with an uncanny application in the battle we wage daily in our inboxes against an implacable foe—spam. Ladies and gentlemen, presenting the 'Fabian Strategy'!
Define the Military Strategy: Fabian Strategy The Fabian Strategy, named in honor of Quintus Fabius Maximus Verrucosus, the Roman general celebrated for his tactical patience and guile, offers a unique perspective on how to engage with a formidable enemy. Abstaining the thrill of direct confrontation, Fabius Maximus, also known as the 'Shield of Rome', introduced a military doctrine where patience was valorized, where battles were not always won by drawing swords but by biding time and striking only when the enemy was at its weakest.
In essence, the Fabian Strategy champions a war of attrition, patiently eroding the enemy's resolve through continuous harassment and avoidance of full-scale engagement. It recognizes that rushing into a face-off against a stronger enemy could lead to swift defeat. Instead, it endorses a slow-bleed approach, waiting for the enemy to overstretch, make mistakes, and present opportunities for decisive strikes.
Military History: The Second Punic War Let's roll back the clock to the Second Punic War, a time when the Roman Republic and the Carthaginian Empire were locked in a brutal struggle for supremacy. At the heart of the conflict was the Carthaginian general, Hannibal, a man of remarkable military acumen, who threatened the very foundations of Rome. His tactical brilliance and battlefield victories had left the Romans scrambling for a response.
It was in this dire hour that Fabius Maximus entered the scene. Rather than engage Hannibal's forces directly, Fabius chose an unconventional path—he decided not to decide, not to give battle. Instead, he shadowed Hannibal's forces, employing a strategy of constant harassment, disrupting supply lines, and employing scorched earth policies. By doing so, he effectively stretched Hannibal's resources thin without putting his own forces at risk.
This approach was met with heavy criticism from the Roman public and Senate, who expected a swift and aggressive response. However, Fabius held fast to his strategy, his eyes fixated on the long game. In the end, his strategy paid off. Hannibal's forces, unable to sustain the campaign indefinitely, were gradually weakened, turning the tide of the war in favor of the Romans.
Personal Development Application:
The Patience for Spam Prevention Now, one might wonder, "How can a military strategy from ancient Rome possibly have relevance in the digital realm of spam prevention?" But herein lies the brilliance of the Fabian Strategy—it's not about the literal application of warfare tactics; it's about the underlying philosophy of patience, of playing the long game.
Let's delve deeper into how we can 'out-Fabian' the cyber hordes of spam:
- Don't Rush to Open Emails: The first tenet of the Fabian Strategy in dealing with spam is the practice of restraint. Picture each new email notification as a potential battlefield. Now, would Fabius Maximus rush headlong into an open field against an unseen enemy? Hardly. He would study the terrain, assess his opponent's strength, and gauge the right moment to engage. Similarly, don't leap to open every new email that buzzes on your phone. Exercise patience. Scrutinize the sender's address and subject line before opening the email. If it seems suspicious or unexpected, it's likely better to ignore it.
- Watch and Wait: In the digital war against spam, information is your ally. Keep a keen eye on your email account's security settings, spam filters, and keep abreast of the latest online scams. Much like Fabius Maximus, who understood the importance of knowing his enemy, you too must be aware of the tools at your disposal and the strategies employed by spammers. Regularly updating your spam filters and adjusting your security settings can go a long way in thwarting spam emails before they even reach your inbox.
- Strike When the Time is Right: Once you've identified a spam email or a phishing attempt, the time for patience ends, and the time for action begins. Report these incidents to your email service provider. This act of retaliation not only helps improve spam filters but also disrupts the spammers' operations, much like Fabius' harassment tactics against Hannibal's forces.
Case Study: Jane Doe's Comprehensive Battle Against Digital Spam Let's walk through the digital life of Jane Doe who I met online in a subreddit of cyber security. She is a modern-day digital person who, like many of us, once found herself beset by spam from all directions. Be it her email inbox, social media platforms, or even her mobile phone—spam was ubiquitous.
Jane's battlefront was not just her email inbox. She found herself dealing with spam on social media platforms, online shopping sites, blogs she frequented, and unsolicited text messages and calls on her mobile phone.
Here's how she adopted a comprehensive Fabian Strategy against digital spam:
- Emails: Jane began by scrutinizing every email she received. She did not rush to open each new mail but instead took her time to verify the sender's details and the email subject. Emails from unknown sources, or those with dubious subjects, were left unopened. She regularly updated her spam filters, reported suspicious emails to her service provider, and never responded to any spam emails—thus not giving away that her email address was active.
- Social Media: Jane was an active user of various social media platforms, which unfortunately exposed her to a barrage of spam messages and friend requests. Instead of instantly responding to these requests, she followed the same principle of patience. She carefully reviewed the profiles behind such requests and messages. Profiles that seemed fishy or lacked adequate details were ignored. She also made liberal use of privacy settings on these platforms, limiting who could send her messages or friend requests.
- Online Shopping Sites: While Jane enjoyed online shopping, she was aware that it also opened up a new avenue for spammers. She made sure never to make purchases from sites that lacked secure HTTPS protocol. She was also cautious about sharing her email address. Where possible, she opted out of marketing communications to avoid unnecessary emails. In cases where sharing her email address was unavoidable, she created a separate email ID just for shopping purposes.
- Mobile Phone Spam: Jane's patience and diligence were also extended to her mobile phone. She did not rush to answer calls from unknown numbers. If they were important, the caller would leave a message. She followed the same cautious principle with text messages. Messages from unknown numbers, especially those containing links, were deleted. She also registered her number with a "Do Not Call" registry to minimize unsolicited calls.
- Comment Spam on Blogs: Jane maintained a personal blog, where she often found spammy comments posted. She took the time to moderate comments, not publishing those that appeared promotional or irrelevant. She also implemented CAPTCHA and comment approval to keep spam comments at bay.
- Educating Herself: Above all, Jane prioritized staying informed. She frequently updated herself on the latest digital security news and spamming tactics. By understanding her enemy, she was better prepared to guard against them.
Over time, Jane noticed a remarkable change. The flood of spam in her digital life had reduced to a trickle. Her careful, patient approach, coupled with timely action, helped her create a safer, spam-reduced digital space. Not only that, but her experience also helped her friends and family, as she shared her strategies and tips with them, raising their awareness and helping them combat spam.
Conclusion: The adoption of the Fabian Strategy in the realm of personal spam prevention is a potent reminder of the wisdom of patience and vigilance in our increasingly connected world. In the face of persistent and evolving threats, a strategy of steady resistance and watchful waiting, coupled with decisive action at the right moment, can turn the tables on even the most relentless spammers.
The Fabian Strategy isn't merely a military doctrine—it's a philosophy, a mindset. It's the recognition that not all battles are won in a blazing glory of immediate victory. Sometimes, the greatest victories come from the quiet perseverance, the patient endurance, the deliberate choices made in the face of adversity.
So, the next time you find your inbox besieged, remember the tale of Fabius Maximus. Remember that patience, combined with the right actions, can thwart even the mightiest adversary. Whether on the battlefields of ancient Rome or the digital frontiers of the 21st century, the principles hold true—patience and persistence can, and often do, win the day.

2023.05.31 06:14 Whole-Photograph9147 Hooray?
2023.05.31 06:13 Darwinn1337 HELP! - How can I recover a domain that is registered in a tenant that is inaccessible?
I am currently stuck between GoDaddy and Microsoft trying to recover a domain that I own, that is locked in a tenant that neither GoDaddy nor Microsoft have access to.
--- Background ---
Around 3 months ago, I purchased a domain through GoDaddy to start my new business. At the same time, I purchased 365 licensing through GoDaddy as well, not know the limitations when it comes to administering the 365 tenant.
When the 365 licensing was purchased I assigned it to the domain that I purchased, and an email account and GoDaddy 365 tenant were created. At the same time, I registered the domain in the GoDaddy 365 tenant.
Shortly after this, I refunded the GoDaddy licensing.

2023.05.31 06:13 SacraficeMyGoat Can I get a prescription for my cat online/through a video appointment with a vet?
We're moving in the next month and will be driving with our cat for approximately 30 Hours in total. She is anxious and can be a little skittish at times. She has only ever been in a car 1-2 times in the past and pretty much meowed the entire time (poor kitty.)
I want to get something prescribed to help ease her anxiety in order to make the trip as comfortable as possible for her. I'm also going to get some Feliway spray, as I've heard that can help them feel more comfortable.
I would love to get this prescription through an online provider if possible, I don't mind going to pick it up in person. If you know of any places I can do this, that would be great. Also, if you have any other tips/suggestions on items to purchase to make this trip for comfortable for her, please let me know! Thank you!

2023.05.31 06:13 Due_Efficiency8729 I (23f) am moving 22 hours away from home to boyfriend (23m). How do I deal with the anxiety around moving?
I am a 23 year old female. I have lived here in idaho my whole life. I love it here. I love my job, I love how close my family is, the mountains every aspect. I met a guy last September who completely flipped my world upside down. I love him so much but he lives 22 hours away from me in the mid west. I hate the area he lives in. He can’t move away because of his job as a farmer. I want to be with him but don’t really know how to cope with picking up my entire life and starting a new one there. Any advice would be much appreciated.
