I feel like over and over again I have to shut people down when they try and provide the same advice I've heard thousands of times.
I don't have any interests or hobbies worth dealing with constant bitter malice for. I've tried finding other ones, and I cannot enjoy anything enough to live. Stop saying that I "just need to find the right hobby", I know what I do and don't want to do, and unfortunately there's very little of the former.
I've been on 6 different antidepressants, gone through 8 different counselors, and none of them have provided any useful advice. I've tried meditation, I've tried exercise, it doesn't work. The problem is that I'm too good at isolating the thinking part of my brain so that no matter what, I always am thinking of how lonely I am. Whether i'm good or bad at the thing Im doing or how involved the activity is. Sometimes I'll have music, youtube videos, and two video games open at once just to distract my brain from lonely thoughts for 0.5 seconds every hour.
It's been like this since childhood. I don't know what being happy feels like, because I constantly have to ask "should i feel happy? is this a happy feeling?" and it never is. I'm supposed to feel happy in certain situations, but I never am.
I am a genius, in a twisted, meaningless way. I can think about so much, I can see through all the hypocrisy in people and society, I can connect every minute detail in my life to something else, but it is the source of utter insanity. i can understand every element of the human psyche except I lack the ability to feel empathy.
I have no purpose. I am utterly dependent on other people, who can never fulfill my desires because they're impossible and no one would ever want to be close to someone so apprehensive, but I can't stop being apprehensive until someone loves me enough.
I am not a bad person. I always act with other people in mind. I do nice things for my friends. I am the friend that I want to have because I acknowledge the hypocrisy depression brings. I deserve happiness. I deserve to feel something towards something alone that makes loneliness bearable, but I don't.
Someone here, give me the agency to die. Please, do a stranger a favor and tell them that they're right, death is the only choice they have. I know it is, but I need to hear it.

Imagine how powerful AI will be in a few years.
There are a few risks to the survival of humanity, that I don’t see talked about often enough. Normally, I like the idea of open source, technology, technology, where everybody can see how it’s made, and can make sure that it’s fair, for example, I like the idea of Twitter being open source or social media being open source. For the first time ever I’m now against that. Here’s why:
Imagine what AI in 5+ years might be capable of. Can it code? It already can and will get better, fast.
Risk #1: If some guy in his basement can have access to more powerful AI, that doesn’t have regulations or laws around it, he could have it hack the systems to turn off the coolers inside food storage areas and effectively throw society into a frenzy due to a lack of food. He could have it shut down gas stations and grocery stores across the country if he’s crazy enough. You could basically have it write a code that dismantled the systems we live by.
Risk #2: He could probably also have a build a chemical compound or give him instructions on how to do so that is very dangerous to humanity (maybe a capability more than 5 years off, but we see hints of this today).
Risk #3: what if this AI is capable of doing tasks on a website, )which will be coming soon), you could have it manipulate stock markets, and dismantle the financial system, which will not be good for any human despite what Reddit seems to think.
Risk #4: what if you could have AI post on social media, which would be incredibly easy to achieve, you could have it flood forums with social manipulation and propaganda to manipulate society into thinking dangerous things.
I feel like a broken record, but honestly, I don’t think we should give every human with the internet access to a tool this powerful.
In fact, I’m not even sure how you prevent it with technology as it currently is, as weird as this sounds, I think you need a powerful AI tool, that somehow actively prevents other AI tools from being accessible to everyday people. This main AI would be regulated with strict laws decided by democratic processes and could still likely provide society with the benefits that AI will bring, and still help us all individually, just with controlled measures.

I just made a few more stock photos of food and I just wanted to come here to express my appreciation for AI stock photography. I feel all warm and giddy inside every time I make a new food stock photo for my business, because I know I am depriving a copyright troll from a potential pay day.
I have no respect for copyright trolls.
I used an otherwise free for commercial re-use photo with a 1900 word terms in German. At the time I wasn't even aware of the terms. I got it from a commercial re-use source.
It was a lame photo of a bowl of meatballs that I used on my business Facebook three years before the troll even approached me. It was attached to a post that got 5 likes. He bought it off of someone in Guatemala for $3 and then turned around and tried to charge me thousands for it on a technicality.
He harassed me for months to give him 2.5K for his low value meatball photo, or he would sue me.
It turned out that he was a notorious troll that had extracted millions from the US and Europe from small and big businesses and he even shut down charities because of his lawsuits. He filed over 100 lawsuits for his otherwise free commercial photos that he plastered all over the internet waiting for people to mess up on the terms.
He actually did an interview bragging about how the four hour work week is possible...ughhh because he made a living on extortion.
I never paid him, but it was super stressful. I immediately went to AI photos and never turned back.
I have made so many photos photos since then, and you know they look way better!
Can't wait for the day AI puts every troll out of business.

My take from the cheap seats is that this lawsuit became "REAL" once CohenMilstein (CM) was able to negotiate the $1B settlement with Wells Fargo on behalf of WF Shareholders. The defendants realized that CM was for real on winning another big finacially related lawsuit. Before this it was the standard legal BS being thrown around by the defendants' lawyers. The defendants will of course try every technicality to get this case thrown out. I guess you cannot blame them given what they are facing in the accusations.

So DCC was my running audiobook, like I would do my morning runs slowly making my way through the books. But I also usually play it on my drive to and from work too. Recently I just finished book 5 and was looking for something new. A friend recommended me Dungeon Devotee and I really like it.
It's being VA'd by one random dude but the quality is pretty damn good, not to the standard of DCC by Soundbooth but I really like it. It somehow reminds me of DCC besides not having anythibg similar other than a dungeon they have to dive.
Best of all its free on audible its in the podcast section strangely.

We're flying in an out of Edinburgh and figured we would rent a car to explore the highlands (day 4 to day 10). We were also considering renting a camper van, since we have friends who did that and really enjoyed it. Any thoughts? Is it easy-ish to find parking?
We're still figuring out what sites to see in Isle of Skye, so any suggestions welcome.
We're looking for a mix of city stuff (restaurants, pubs, museums, music) and outdoor time (hiking, nature walks). We tend to like downtime too. We'd love to spend two nights in Glasgow, but unsure of what to cut to fit it in.

Last year in September 2022, I had to give my 5-year-old male cat away due to our home being sold and in the place I am currently living, cats are not allowed. Thankfully, my friend decided to take him in. However, she lives with 2 other cats and my cat was already used to being an only cat. One of the cats she has is an orange cat. Her orange cat is a bully and she has tried to calm them down by using hormone sprays, adding more litter boxes around the house, separating the litter boxes, etc. Now even after all this time my cat has continually had a problem of peeing in places like the bedroom, the kitchen, the sofa, on their shoes, laundry, and refuses to pee anywhere but the litterbox. He has to be kept behind a cage wall with his bed, food, water, and litter box inside. Only occasionally to be let out to play with, especially when the other cats are no in the room. Even after almost a year, he has refused to make friends with the other cats (is this normal?) I've tried even taking him to the vet to see if maybe he has some urinary problem, but the results came back fine. We think it's anxiety due to either A) the bully orange cat or B) still hates the new place, and wants to go back to his original home (problem is we no longer live there), it could also be a combination of the two. Cat nip has no effect on him, and I have already tried Feliway, which also does not work on him.
I appreciate my friend's patience immensely and would like to make this easier for her. What can I possibly do to help her? Vitamins for my cat? Hormone collar? any brands? I appreciate your guys' input.

Can’t queue with my friends because it just searches for a game for hours, solo queue and I get kicked 5 mins in on resurgence when I’m getting high damage starts. “Disconnected from server” but it’s only when I’m on a heater.
