Dress Evaluation: Paradox Magica Kaori
2023.06.10 08:58 katabana02 Dress Evaluation: Paradox Magica Kaori
Oh my, I have fogotten to post this dress's evaluation back then. a bit late but decided to post this anyway, for future reference. We'll definately be getting this dress's banner in the future anyway.
Kaori's
Paradox Magica dress is the 2nd entry for this series.
This is a Showcase Video(EN) /
Showcase Video(JP) that demonstrate the dress. enjoy!
Paradox Magica Kaori (UFIRE/HP): Skill 1: Attack 1 enemy. 75% chance to absorb 15% MOV.
Skill 2: Attack 1 enemy. 75% chance to remove all buffs. Reduce 25% MOV. Give ALL allies 2 turns IMMUNE. (MLB: Removes ALL debuffs from all allies.)
Skill 3: Remove 1 debuff from all allies if received AOE damage. Gain 1 turn. Activate once per turn.
Skill 4 (passive): Increase ATK & CRIT % for ALL allies (Limit Break >1, set as spot 1)
Appmedia Evaluation: - Rating: Demon Tower: 4/5
- At the time of implementation (22/5/22), the Sabbath environment was implemented as a countermeasure against the all-out attack dress, including Maiden Eliza .
- The HP status is 20832, which is the highest number ever, so it is useful when you want to increase your HP with a sub-dress.
- Basically, it is mainly used in Sabbath, but since it has valuable general immunity, it can also be used in Babel and high difficulty quests.
- (user review) The passive has a 2-turn recast, so if you take Maiden Eliza's attack and activate it once, the granted immunity will be canceled by Soso Hanabi, and there is a high possibility that you will not be able to move again. Durability is also worse than Chocolat Kaorin.
- (user review) the passive doesn't activate unless you take damage, so if you attach a beast barrier, the damage won't penetrate and it won't activate.
My Opinion: As someone who uses maiden Eliza, I would definitely avoid facing this dress in sabbath. skill 3 passive can counter aoe beast stun, remove invincible buff on maiden eliza, and give immune to allies. This means that unless opponent managed to reduce own team's MOV to 0, there is a big chance that you can reverse the situation even though you have lost in SPEED. It's easy to trigger her passive too since most sabbath damage oriented dresses are Aoe. I dont know why Appmedia only giving this dress a 3 stars in Sabbath DEF, but personally I'd rank this a 4 stars dress in Sabbath DEF. counter-able, but definitely strong in current meta.
Not so useful in other areas though.
New player: Not worth chasing after unless you really want a Sabbath defend oriented dress.
F2P players: A good defensive dress in current sabbath meta. Would help a lot in Sabbath Walpurgis rank climbing since Maiden Eliza is used extensively.
Here is an
index for future dresses that I have evaluated.
Extra: Banner schedule,
Mgmc dress skill DB,
Sanahtlig's future dress schedule,
Speed table,
magiwikia,
Official Magicami YT Channel,
Appmedia Event page,
Sinister 5 page,
Banner releasing schedule extra info for myself:
- For attacks proportional to XX, not only XX but also attack power is related to power.
- Attacks that depend on XX are not related to stats other than XX.
- brand = seal
- guts = will
- Helpful comment that summarized what dress to wait for

2023.06.10 08:56 Hopeful_Wrongdoer944 [NA] Silver 3 Jax Top Main 64% LF Jg/Mid Silver 3-1
Howdy, I'm a top main in need of a duo.
https://www.op.gg/summoners/na/Gas%20the%20Wizard I have been gold twice before but have been silver past few seasons. This year so far, I hit silver 4 after only 20 wins and peaked silver 1 so far. In 16 days, I went from s4 27lp to silver 1. However, I dropped back down to s3. Any solid duos would be freelo.
I play daily and am primarily looking for a mid/jg duo. Bot lane is too volatile so I am not looking for a adc/support, I apologize. Here are my winrates for the 2023 season so far:
+ + + + + + + + +
Jax 64% over 85 games (76% over last 25 games)
Singed 56% over 62 games
+ + + + + + + + +
Here are my winrates from season 2022:
57% Garen 127 games
55% Jax 83 games
55% Tryndamere 66 games
54% Kayle 56 games
54% Nasus 37 games
53% Singed 36 games
53% Olaf 35 games
+ + + + + + + + +
My gameplay top consists of freezing the wave early, then running down opponents when they overstep to farm. If I'm on Singed, my goal is to draw pressure away from the map towards top lane while I proxy then escape. If I'm on Singed and you are jungle, feel free to ignore my lane while enemy jg/mid comes top (use this as numbers advantage elsewhere). I am good at both snowballing and playing from behind. I enjoy rotating to objectives and team fights. I have good enemy jungle awareness and can call out warnings on voice comms before they gank. I enjoy splitpushing when needed. If you are a mid laner, I am happy to swap lanes and take your bad matchups for you. When I play mid, I enjoy shoving the wave and roaming if I can't kill my lane opponent.
I run on eastern standard time, 1-3 games a night. I game a LOT on Saturdays. I look forward to meeting you, good luck in queue

2023.06.10 08:53 Common-Piccolo-4767 Iam a new upwork joinee. Requesting Guidance. (Please dont be mean/troll)
2023.06.10 08:51 ThreeMonthsTooLate So, Iâm just going to come out and say it⊠I have some issues with how Brotherhood ended.
More specifically, I have issues with Edwardâs final transmutation to save Alphonse. Iâm actually going to break this down into a couple of different parts because my problems are both in the mechanics of how such a transmutation works as established in the story and the thematic implications of said transmutation on the overall narrative.
Part 1: Issues with the Mechanics of Alchemy and the Gate of Truth
First off, the metaphysics. I know that part of the point of literally any iteration of FMA is that Equivalent Exchange is absolute BS â on a moral level. Scientifically speaking, itâs an absolute truth. The problem that the brothers have is that they treat Equivalent Exchange as a moralistic truth of the universe as much as it is a scientific one. However, just because something isnât a moral truth doesnât mean that it still isnât a scientific truth that the characters have to abide by. As soon as Equivalent Exchange stops being a scientific law, then it stops being a narrative element to explore and just becomes Deus Ex whatever the Mangaka wants.
So, with that being said, what was Equivalent about this Exchange at the end of the series? Edward has to give up his ability to access the truth to pull Alphonse out of the Gate. Heâs not materializing matter out of nothing â Alphonseâs body was being held inside the Gate. If it were really Equivalent, then something of equal value (mass, composition, etc.) should have taken its place.
Mind, this is completely ignoring the fact that the original transmutation that got Alphonseâs body into that situation, to begin with, was not an equivalent exchange either. Almost explicitly so - Alphonse and Edward both accessed the Truth when they tried to bring their mother back, Edward lost his leg and Alphonse lost his everything. Where is the equivalence in that? The only thing I can think of is that a set amount of mass was required to be taken in exchange for seeing the Truth and the Truth itself treated Edward and Alphonse as a single entity with Alphonse taking the brunt of the exchange. However, the problem with that is that the brothers are objectively not one entity â they are two separate individuals. So, then why not give them the same treatment to begin with? All things being equal, either both brothers should have become trapped within the Truth or they both should have lost a limb (which is actually more in line with their mentor, Izumi). Mind, this is also the same story that has Edward canonically sacrifice his arm for his brotherâs soul, even though those two things arenât equivalent either (scientifically or otherwise).
And under that assumption, if Equivalent Exchange holds true as a scientific law, then when Edward pulled Alphonse out of the Gate, he should have been able to do so without having to sacrifice his ability to transmute. After all, if Alphonse got placed inside of the Gate because of an inequivalent exchange and the world does operate on the law of equivalent exchange (at least scientifically speaking) then the only way to make inequivalent exchange equivalent again is to undo it â releasing Alphonseâs body from the Gate free of charge.
Of course, on a meta-level, all this talk about the metaphysics of the Gate and the Truth kind of just feels like a bunch of theoretical nonsense anyways. A handwaved excuse bending over backward to desperately explain why something is one way and not another.
It's needlessly overcomplicated and thereâs already a perfectly rational explanation of where Alphonseâs body went from the very start of the series â that horrifying corpse thing the brothers made as a result of their botched human transmutation. After all, a body disappeared and something like a body then appeared. It wouldnât take a genius to put together where the body probably went.
In fact, this would also do a better job of explaining how Edward was able to transmute his brotherâs soul into the armor and why they couldnât do it for Triciaâs soul. Alphonseâs soul is right there, dying in a malformed corpse, but still alive, at least for the time being. Edward losing his arm could be chalked up to a rebound (hey, remember those were supposed to be a thing?) caused by him not really understanding what he was doing.
But Arakawa didnât want to go with that obvious route because of where it led. If Alphonseâs body was turned into that horrifying corpse thing, then there wouldnât exactly be a convenient way to restore Alphonse and get the happily ever after that she wanted for the character. After all, his body obviously canât be both trapped within the Gate and a pile of malformed organs on the floor, now could it?
And this, I think, leads into my other â more prominent - issues with Edwardâs final human transmutation.
Part 2: The Thematic Impact of Human Transmutation in FMA
I think my problems with the brothers ending in Brotherhood can really be summarized with a single scene:
Alphonse (at the end of the series, having finally gotten his body back): âHey, Ed. Iâve been thinking about something.â
Edward: âMe too. I think we should bring Mom back.â
Now, I know, I know. This is a non-cannon outtake made by Studio Bones meant to be taken as a joke. But as a wise man once said, âWhat is a joke but an ugly truth with a punchline?â And while I donât think thatâs always true, it certainly applies here.
Because hereâs the thing; the brothers â even up to their very last scenes â never changed. They never grew. They never learned.
The beginning of Full Metal Alchemist, starts off with a simple question about death â what do we do about uncomfortable truths? Whether it be the Manga, 2003, or the second episode of Brotherhood (the first one was trying to do something else entirely), every single iteration of FMA begins with this question in some way â whether it be Rose struggling between Cornelloâs lies and the ugly truth that her boyfriend is dead and will never return, or the brotherâs botched human transmutation to bring their dead mother back, or the Militaryâs genocide of the Ishvallan people, or the brotherâs reaction to learning that Shou Tucker turning his daughter into a chimera to retain his State Alchemistâs and that he had done the same to his wife two years prior, the story of early FMA was all about unfortunate and terrible truths and how people came to terms with them.
And how did FMA propose one to deal with such truths? Not through human transmutation, thatâs for sure. Whether it be Tuckerâs human transmutation of Nina to retain his State License, the brotherâs botched human transmutation, or them advising Rose against doing the same, the answer to the question is never human transmutation.
And that makes sense â human transmutation is effectively an erasure of that terrible truth that the transmuter is trying undo - an attempt to go back to before the character was aware of that unfortunate truth or else to write it out of existence. It is the narrative equivalent of burying oneâs head in the sand and closing their eyes to something they donât want to see. And any character who attempts to do this is rightly punished for their actions. Edward and Alphonse are punished. Izumi is punished. Shou Tucker is punished.
But if human transmutation is the failure condition of the FMA story, then why are the Manga and Brotherhood having Edward perform human transmutation and then rewarding him for it? That is literally the same mistake that got him and his brother into this predicament to begin with!
If Brotherhood had held the brothersâ narrative actions to its thematic consequence, then what we should have seen was Alphonse trade his soul for Edwardâs arm â which then materializes over Edwardâs auto-mail plate, causing the arm to be unusable and will need to be removed following the fight. Letâs say that Edward survives the ensuing fight with Father and defeats him, as per cannon, and then tries to bring back Alphonse by sacrificing his ability to transmute to restore Alphonseâs body to reality only for Alphonse to immediately collapse dead due to the terrible state that his body was in from being left in the Gate for so long, leaving Edward off both without his brother and the ability to perform alchemy.
Sure, itâs brutal and definitely a downer way to end the series off on, but it is thematically appropriate as the brothers ultimately failed to learn from their mistakes the last time around and ultimately repeated them. They tried to turn back the clock and undo a truth that they didnât like â which is what got them into their situation to begin with.
And really, when you think about it, thematically speaking, if the brothers could undo their past mistakes and restore Alphonse effectively from death, then whatâs stopping them from trying it again with others? Why not try to bring back their mother like the outtake pokes fun at? Or resurrect Maes Hughes? Or resurrect Nina? Where does the buck stop? And if they canât do that, then why should they with Alphonse? What makes him so special? Doesnât Hughes deserve to live a long, happy life with his family? Doesnât Nina? After all, weâre not exactly capable of resurrecting the dead in our world now are we? Wasnât this series supposed to be about accepting unfortunate truths? Whatâs a more unfortunate truth than
My point here is that Brotherhood tries to have it both ways â it both wants to be a story that says that you cannot undo the past, while also having the main protagonists that succeed at doing just that. It wants to be a story that pushes for this idea of accepting the truth no matter how ugly that truth might be, while simultaneously refusing to face the ugly truths that are being set up by its own narrative.
Part 3 : 2003
Now, you may be pointing out right now that 2003 had the brothers do the exact same thing as what Brotherhood did and yet Iâm not criticizing that series for doing so. And no, I am not. But thatâs because I think the way that series ended was making a point that the brothers had made the wrong decision. After all, the brothers end up separated and in much worse situations than they began with. Itâs an ending made with the understanding of the right answer is to their situation and purposefully choosing not to take it, whereas Brotherhood by contrast tried to cover its eyes and ignore said answer.
Part 4: Letting Go
And what is that answer? Well, Edwardâs actually already told us. Back in the second chapter of the Manga, at the end of the Liore arc, when Rose is left wondering what she is supposed to do now that she knows the truth that she cannot get her dead boyfriend back, Edward tells her to stand on her own two feet and move forward.
This is also reinforced in the lyrics to the FMA musical number âBrothersâ of all things. The lyrics themselves are framed as an interaction between Edward, whoâs apologizing to Alphonse for âshattering his [Alphonseâs] chance to liveâ and lamenting that âthere is no cure for death.â The final two lines of that song are âWhatâs gone is forever lost. Now all we can do is live.â
This is something that should have been the crux of Izumiâs character. With her philosophy of the One and All, she should have scolded the brothers for repeating the same mistakes that resulted in their situation to begin with and advocated for them to give up their quest for the Philosopherâs Stone and seek to restore their bodies. That is, after all, what she has done â to live out her remaining days surrounded by those close to her.
So, whatâs the thematically correct answer to the brothersâ problem? Itâs for Alphonse to die and Edward to come to terms with said death and not try to resurrect him. And yes, it does have to be Alphonse. Why?
Part 5: Alphonse Elric, the Golem
Alphonse Elric â as far as his character design is concerned - is effectively a golem. Almost as stock standard a golem as you can possibly get, actually. Now while most people just think of golems as being a standard fantasy monster, they actually have a deep lore with Jewish folklore.
How so? Well, generally speaking, a golem was a construct created from some inorganic material (traditionally clay) and was powered by the name of God being inscribed on either the tongue or forehead of the creation. Seeing the parallels with Alphonse yet?
Now, while there is a huge variation in Golem stories, they almost always have some elements in common â namely a.) they were created to fulfill a specific role such as defending a Jewish community or doing menial labor and b.) they are only ever meant to be temporary. Typically, a golem would have to be shut down or decommissioned on the Sabbath and a lot of Golem stories often about situations where the creator of the Golem doesnât do that, causing said Golem to go on a rampage and cause some sort of devastation, resulting in the creator having to destroy the Golem.
So, with this understanding of what a Golem is and the general lore of what makes a golem what it is, letâs apply all of this to Alphonse. And with that, Iâm going to start with a seemingly simple question â how is Alphonse moving around?
Well, if Equivalent Exchange still holds true as a scientific law, then something has to be powering Alphonse's armor to move. Now, for this situation, Iâm going to throw out Brotherhoodâs explanation that his body is trapped within the Gate of Truth because I think that answer is just a hand-waved excuse so that nobody has to think about the ramifications of what is actually going on. This is FMA after all, and FMA â as it introduced itself - is a story about facing and accepting terrible truths, so whatâs the terrible truth about this situation?
Ultimately, excluding Brotherhood, there are really only two possible answers here â either the power is coming from the armor or itâs coming from Alphonseâs soul attached to the armor. And the armor itself clearly isnât undergoing some sort of alchemical transmutation. And we already know that souls can be used as a power source in FMAâs universe. And it would certainly tie into Alphonse's connection with golems and their folklore.
And frankly, I canât think of a crueler karmic punishment for Edward than causing the destruction of his brotherâs soul because he couldnât accept the possibility of living without said brother and ultimately be forced to watch his beloved brother descend into madness knowing that he was the one to do this to Alphonse and that it ultimately falls to him to put an end to his brotherâs madness.
Needless to say, I know what my next fanfiction project is going to be! Full Metal Alchemist: Requiem, coming soon!
Part 6: Conclusion
In all seriousness though, I do think that itâs a bit of a letdown that Brotherhood is as thematically contradictory as it is. I guess thatâs what 2003 is for, but stillâŠ
Also, please donât take any of this criticism as me hating Brotherhood in any way. I do really enjoy the series, even if I am sad that it basically threw out its own premise in favor of ensuring that all the main characters got a happily ever after regardless of whether it made sense or not.
But what do you guys think about all of this? Am I onto something about Brotherhood and its use of Human Transmutation? Or am I just thinking about this way too much? Let me know down below.

2023.06.10 08:49 ayman678 15 Solo tips from 8k hour solo
I just randomly felt like writing down how I play just in case any other solos wanted some ideas since these days I feel like I'm consistently having good wipes and always stacked. Keep in mind these strats are made only for if you're playing solo and just trying to get blueprints on a high pop server. Obviously there are better ways if you have the man power.
So here are my main strategies as a solo for how to consistently get stacked:
- Trio servers are by far the best solo experience you can have imo (Rusticated US Trio being my favorite).
- At the start of wipe the very first thing I do is go to fishing village and do the fishing rod quest and fish until I have a small boat. Then I loot every tool crate on the way the way to my desired base location. Doing this stacks you up on bows, cross bows, pickaxes, salvaged picks, hatchets, sometimes a jackhammer as well as enough scrap for a tier 1 right off the bat.
- I usually base in between a fishing village and one of the oilrigs (highly prefer small oil) and if that isn't ideal then I base in between a fishing village and underwater labs. Basing directly on the water is imo the easiest way to get ahead as a solo.
- If it is force wipe then I will fish until I have enough scrap for a submarine and some torpedos to counter the first cargo off wipe since people are less likely to buy a mini to the first cargo. Theres a 50/50 chance they leave first cargo with a mini but I have gotten some pretty insane starts doing this. You just trail cargo until they drop down with the rhib and resurface the submarine and torpedo them. This works often enough to where its worth giving it a shot.
- If you're based near smoil you can take it with very minimal gear as a solo (compound bow, crossy, nail gun). I will fish for a blue card and take smoil with the goal of getting the elite in the blue room and hoping for a gun (this is a force wipe strat and isn't that worth doing if you have bps already).
- If playing on wipe day on some 500 pop server, going to smoil after someone has already taken it is very ideal because there are multiple crates that respawn decently fast and I would suggest camping smoil for roughly 20 minutes just doing this. I've never done this and not gotten something useful to bp once I get home because the crates respawn kind of fast when the pop is that high. Sometimes you'll get counters but I think this is still worth attempting on bp wipe.
- A somewhat safe way to recycle as a solo when you are far from outpost/bandit is if the map seed has the harbor that has the recycler that is close to the water. I use submarine to drive up right next to the recycler. You can keep an eye out and if anyone shows up you can quickly loot the recycler and jump down into your submarine. I usually build bases that include a boat base that can fit one small boat as well as one submarine. If you don't have a garage door bp yet just use double doors and take them off and put them back on when you need to enteleave.
- If the harbor method works well for you it isn't a bad idea to just focus on hitting barrels in the water and recycle until you have a tier 2 or even a tier 3. The fastest I've gotten a tier 3 with this method was 2.5 hours into wipe. If you have the patience you can also fish at fishing village until you have enough scrap for a tier 2/3, I find this really boring and don't usually do it ever but if you're decent at fishing you can expect 600-800 scrap every 40 mins doing this. I say every 40 minutes because that is how long it usually takes to break a fishing rod.
- On force wipe I'm not too worried about getting raided so half way through the day all i have is a honeycombed 2by2. Since I'm on the water I make a farm base on the water in the snow and this is usually a 1by1 with an airlock and maybe even an extension to the base where i can safely keep a single boat. I bring basically all my tools to this base any jack hammers i have salvaged picks, chainsaws, ect. and just farm until I have enough to make a good sized base.
- If all has gone well my base will be done and I will attempt to get a minicopter and start planning a raid. The best way to raid as solo is going top down with a mini since it is much harder for people to counter you.
- While doing all of this you should have a minimum of 2 furnaces at home running metal the entire time you're out of base pretty much have them running 24/7. Use a third one to run sulfur but metal is a priority for a solo on wipe day so you can log off with a strong base. Aim to have a base that costs 24-30 rockets to raid, easily achievable with a bunker.
- I usually strictly play solo because I really like the difficulty of doing all of this on my own but once I'm established I actually have a discord of like 30ish players I've played with over the years and if I need help with like a raid or something I'll just @ the entire discord and usually have 2 decent players for the trio server lend me a hand even if briefly just for a raid. If you play a similar way to me I recommend making a discord server with people willing to do this. I've played like this for years so it took a while to get a decent number of people who know the drill and will do this with me.
- If having a bad wipe you can always resort to just farming the ocean barrels and the sunken chests but I find this really boring and just join someone elses wipe if it comes to this. Though, it doesn't usually come to this. Doing this is a super chill rust experience though if you don't mind it.
- Contest every cargo even if you think there is a low chance of success. I will try to be the first person on and try to loot the elites and just leave if I get anything exceptionally good. If nothing good comes of the elites I will wait at the bottom floor and try to grub someone for a full kit and then leave with it if possible.
- If you're based near labs I recommend doing the fishing village quest to get a pump shotgun and then go to labs and if anyone shows up to counter I would immediately camp a ladder and wait for them to come up. Its best to bring a shotgun or an smg to labs, a semi rifle isn't that great here. Side tip: you don't need a diving tank to get into labs. Just bring flippers and make sure when you go underwater you are directly above the moon pool, you can do this without taking any damage and it also makes it harder for people to hear you come up.
That's pretty much all. I'm sure I missed a few things but this is all that comes to mind. I consistently get stacked day 1 doing pretty much just all of this.

2023.06.10 08:43 CExpat1234 W-2 as a freelancer question
Hello all,
So I did my research and understand what you're not allowed to deduct as a W-2 receiver vs a 1099-NEC. Basically I am starting with a new company that wants to give me a W-2 even though I will be more of a contractor for them (and only a temp). Their HR is quite corporate and insist on the W2 route.
My main concern and wanting to ask the community for guidance is this:
Since I live abroad and pay my taxes where I live (I am registered as a freelancer) - I am under the understanding that with the W2 I will have taxes deducted in the US? Is there a way to have 0 taxes deducted on the W2? Or will I basically just have to get the lowest amount deducted as possible and then file to get it back during the next tax year?
If you also have any other advice on the W2 as a freelancer bit I am very greatful

2023.06.10 08:40 ZiggyGasman New pedalboard build
After playing only a Rivera 30/12 w/ drive switch for 15 years, I have recently decided to build my first pedalboard. I joined the worship team at my church and needed a solution for generating the necessary tones/sounds/ambience/swells etc. I'm well aware of all the options out there, but I decided wholeheartedly to take advantage of this opportunity to build a pedalboard now that I have an excuse to do so. I haven't assembled everything yet, but after a moderate amount of research, this is the rig I'm developing based on the pedals and other equipment I've obtained (mostly used).
My conceived signal chain is as follows: Petersen tuner > Electro-Harmonix micro pog > Keeley compressor > Chase Bliss Audio Brothers > MXR Duke of Tone > Walrus Ages > Wampler Tumnus > Strymon Riverside > Strymon Sunset > Ernie Ball Vol Jr pedal > Walrus Julianna Chorus > Line 6 DL4 MkII > Walrus Slo > Strymon Big Sky > Strymon Timeline > Strymon Iridium
Some thoughts that went into this setup: I started with all analog using DOT into Ages, but wasn't getting the full range of overdrive tones I was looking for. I love the DL4 mark 2, although a little confusing to tinker with. I was using this primarily for delay and reverb combined with Slo reverb for a beautiful ambient soundscape, and this was great up until I couldn't dial in all the reverb and delay styles I was looking for. This was especially limiting during performance. It worked fine and the sound was adequate, but I wanted more range and control.
Honestly, playing with my own amp has been nice for the sound, but I am really tired of lugging the amp back and forth. Ultimately, I decided to spring for a MIDI control setup with some strymon pedals and the Brothers pedal from CBA controlled by the Morningstar MC6 pro. I bought the ML5 and plan to loop in POG, DOT, AGES, Tumnus, and the compressor (for the Keeley, mainly to dial in a few different sustain settings) for MIDI presets. I might get a bigger loop switcher later on to have control over the Julianna and the Slo, but for now I think I'll bring them in and out manually and use their sustain feature at times. Finally, with the Iridium I intend to plug into front of house so my only payload will be the board.
I have the isolated power banks I need to juice everything. I will send MIDI to all capable devices and use presets for each setlist.
Any ideas for ideal setup? Am I missing anything important?

2023.06.10 08:35 Muniyuki Stalker found my discord without me giving it to him
Itâs a long story, but this guy is out to get me. Our professor put us in a group project with one other girl and he ended up sexually harassing me, her, and eventually others in that class. I was the only one who reported him and he got in trouble, however he remained in the class. He went on to his buddies that he never did anything and just generally talked shit about me. Iâm very paranoid that heâs out to get me since he has a history of threatening girls. Thatâs basically the background story. Now onto the main issue. He found my discord without me giving it to him. We have no mutual friends or servers, which confused me even more because I know for fact itâs him based on the username. He does have my number and full name because of the project if thatâs the reason?? Iâve already tracked down most of his socials and blocked him but I just donât know what to do. Any advise??

2023.06.10 08:33 Salt-Theory2359 Is there some practical way of determining how much power is carried on each wire on the voltage puzzles?
The level of difficulty between the circuit and voltage puzzles is insane, and I think it's because it's fucking impossible to tell just how much power is being routed through each wire. All you can go off of is each plug is worth one or two points, and it's added together in some fashion, but without actual information being provided to the player, it feels like solving them is just guesswork while the circuit puzzles offer immediate and clear feedback if you're doing something right or wrong.
Like, sure, the wires glow brighter the more power is running through them - but if you're going to make it a math problem, THEN TELL THE PLAYER WHAT THE GODDAMN NUMBERS ARE. Feels like I have to save all my stupid logic bomb things just to bypass them after I've stared at them for 5 minutes and have tried every possible plug combination and gotten nowhere.
If I could just have numbers instead of vague glows, I'm sure I'd be able to determine where I'm going wrong and develop a solution.
Don't have puzzles if you can't bother to tell the person pertinent information.

2023.06.10 08:30 elnaman Utopia P2P is currently the best project in Blockchain
| Utopia is a revolutionary decentralized, peer-to-peer ecosystem that provides secure and surveillance-resistant communication, finance, and internet browsing. First developed in 2013, Utopia was released officially in 2019, and since then, it has provided a safe haven for individuals who value their privacy and liberty. The ecosystem consists of a secure instant messaging system, encrypted email, voice communication, and encrypted file sharing. 2023.06.10 08:18 Iron_Monkey Taiko x Loopring [L2 x L3] explained (and the future of Ethereum)
| A semi-simplified explanation of the recent news: Taiko is a type-1 (equivalent/fully compatible with Layer 1 Ethereum) zero-knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machine ( zkEVM) using zkRollups to scale L1 with trustless verification on Layer 2. Loopring was the first true L2 and also uses zkRollups, but requires a decentralised Application (dApp) to be specifically built for its protocol. Meanwhile, Taiko zkEVM can be integrated to work with any dApp already existing on L1 just by changing a URL in one line of code - unlocking 1/100th+ cheaper gas fees, instant transactions, and inherited Ethereum L1 security by bundling via zkRollups. Upon release, a switch to zkEVMs should be unanimous for current Ethereum dApps, as having various L2 solutions is a key aspect for scaling in the grand-scale Ethereum roadmap. Leading dApps that don't switch risk losing users/creators to the competition that will because increased L1 usage will only continue to worsen the current $5+ fees, and 10-20 minutes wait for final settlement. With zkEVMs, you don't even have to risk fund custody problems that come with sidechains trying to solve this scalability issue... so why wouldn't you? Taiko is a general-use neutral entity separated from Loopring and GameStop branding (despite Daniel Wang and Matt Finestone being Co-Founders). Type-1 zkEVMs are the hardest to develop, but also the most simple for converting L1 dApps. The success potential from having first-move advantage on something of this magnitude should directly benefit the integrated and highly optimised Loopring protocol, which acts as an extra amplifier running on top of Taiko L2 as L3: - Taiko (L2/zkEVM) retrieves the current state of Ethereum (L1) instantly due to being equivalent (type-1) and uses zkRollups to validate and bundle transactions made within the 'trustless middleman' Taiko service, in advance to them actually being fully settled later on the 'main' Ethereum L1 blockchain.
- Before this happens, dApps built on the 'trustless middleman' Loopring (L3) protocol can independently use zkRollups to validate bundling thousands+ of concurrent transactions from the Loopring protocol into one block, and then pass it onto Taiko (L2) to validate and bundle it as a 'single transaction' alongside other concurrent Taiko transactions into one block (intended for final settlement on Ethereum L1).
- Alternatively, dApps running on Taiko L2 but not further optimised on Loopring L3 would cause single transactions to consume way more space within each Taiko block.
- Rollups unclog the Ethereum network, making it cheaper and faster as everyone switches to L2 for commercial use; imagine if the only form of transport went from cars to buses, but with L3, a skyscraper bullet train transfer service happens prior to the bus - which compresses all of the arriving passengers into a single bus seat, and the bus is actually another skyscraper bullet train.
- Increased Loopring protocol usage by dApps -> APR returns for staked LRC go up / more transactions to bundle = cheaper + faster protocol -> more user incentive to stay within the Loopring protocol (internally existing DEX + dApps + L3 compatibility with prominent general Taiko zkEVM) -> performance gained from increased adoption attracts more users -> returns for staked LRC go up / more transactions to bundle [...] and so on
- The LRC token grants DAO privileges, and will provide higher APR on LRC staking when we see start seeing Loopring dApps with high frequent volume. Paired with the cost of operating an exchange on the protocol being 250k+ LRC (and any future utility implementation), we should expect a rise in the token's value likely after zkRollups benefits are realised across Ethereum via zkEVMs like Taiko (Q1 2024) - when new Loopring L3 dApps inevitably follow.
This feedback loop of the more adoption, the better the service, is like an inverse death spiral. Eventually the transaction fees are essentially free, with instant settlement, and no security compromise (apart from the centralised relayers for Loopring L3, which I'd imagine will become more distributed to prevent targeted DDoS attacks - and regardless, would only prevent further transactions from being made via L3 because only trustless verification happens off-chain and settlement is always on Ethereum L1). Condensing of transactions from dApps moving to L2/L3 creates a mutually beneficial relationship with L1 due to a decreased amount of settlement requests in the queue for L1 verification - reducing load on the max 30 transaction/sec limit - making it even cheaper for L2 + L3 to settle on L1. Other L2/L3s like 'Immutable X' and 'Polygon' NFT gaming zkEVMs will also enjoy better performance = more appeal for potential new users and creators, while holding a monopoly on NFT gaming market share % with this partnership. Where will items from these games likely be traded? The existing GameStop (x Loopring & Immutable X) NFT Marketplace! ...further improving the Loopring protocol - you get it? The increased number of users as a result of this upgraded system also attracts more validators, creating a more populated and decentralised L1 more resilient to potential attacks: reducing impact that hypothetical L2/L3 downtime would have on access to the underlying system - and rather only the cheaper fees + speed they provide. The entire Ethereum ecosystem benefits as one from these advancements; efficient bridges everywhere Endless hype from Byron (late 2021) did lead to some holders expecting immediate results with some sort of nuclear triple AAA partnership announcement, but the proof is in the pudding. The functionality we now have within the Loopring protocol: non-custodial counterfactual wallet(s), GameStop Marketplace, NFT minting, staking, on/off-ramp, dual investment, DEX with CEX liquidity (!!!) etc. is looking like a Michelin 3-star banana pudding. Taiko zkEVM mainnet release + proto-danksharding on L1 within the next ~6 months is going to make Ethereum a very efficient backend for a variety of systems, with Loopring primed to become the most optimised transaction service for the 2nd biggest blockchain. The moon spiral catalyst moment that comes with true mass adoption is soon. Banks: Entrust strangers to hold your fiat in a black-box system, who force you to wait several days to complete transfers etc. (+ any bank holidays/weekend delays), and use Visa/MasterCard for purchases which incurs another 1.5%+ in fees for merchants. Loopring: Personally hold stablecoins/ETH/wBTC in your non-custodial wallet in a trustless white-box service, 24/7 ability to send assets instantly and for free to anyone else using Ethereum (or small fee to quickly exchange to nearly any other blockchain), still partake in TradFi via non-custodial cryptocards w/ vIBAN - and your wallet is a passport/inventory for interacting with the growing Web3 space. đ€ đđŽââ ïžđ submitted by Iron_Monkey to CryptoCurrency [link] [comments] |

2023.06.10 08:13 Abyssal_Corps Judgement
CHaracter Profile I think someone like Botobai (Justice Hunter ) might gain this ability after providing justice to quite a number of people (but that seems wrong) or a person with a strong sense of justice. The activation condition that you suggested is pretty dicey. If anything that the user decides is a transgression. Then the effectiveness of the ability will not be that much. I was thinking that going into the straight laced person stereotype would be boring. so it rather would be guy who is neither bad nor evil but he just wants to test how much he can get past the justice system (as justice is blind)
Activation Condition The user will ask 3 Questions (Qs) (or rather Accusations) to someone. The question need not necessarily be through user only. Meaning someone other can ask the same question to someone else. But the first time the Q has to be asked by the user only. The person that is being asked "The accused" can either choose to answer the Q or ask the same Q to someone else. The user has to be around when the Qs are being asked or atleast know the answer that is given by the other person. The person asking the Q becomes the "one that is accusing" and the other becomes "one that is being accused" and thus a chain link is started. With the last pair of Accusing and accused (if the accused chooses to answer and a certain amt of time passes before he asks anyone else) The ability is activated.
ABility Then all the persons associated with the accused and accusing (not necessarily only the last pair but also everyone else involved) gets teleported to a court room. The Judge and the 12 jury are created by the nen of all the persons involved.
So everyone is put into a state of zetsu. The judge will explain the proceedings. The accused tries to prove his innocence for the 3 different accusations( the 3 Qs).
Since the jury is a personification of everyone's aura (so in a 1v1 situation this ability is useless as the jury is heavily influenced by one's aura). In a large setting of people the jury is not influenced by a single person's aura (Unless the said person has a large amt of nen that is greater than the collective addition of all other person's involved[its kinda like if you large sums of money you can influence decisions] or if anyone can gather a large amt of nen as a group[the group will considered a single entity, its kinda like the will of the mass] ).
**It's not necessary that a single person be accused of all 3Qs but rather the main user has to ask 3 Qs
Punishment If the accused cant defend himself from the given no of accusations. he will be unable to use nen for 30 days (subject to change) * no of accusations But if he defends all 3 accusations then he's granted immunity and the same ability can't be applied on him for 100 days (subject to change). The reward for defending is not so great as IRL you dont get any reward or such like that. There is punishment but no reward.
If he defends 1 accusations and fails 2 then 30*2 - 30*1 days= 30 days forced zetsu If he defends 2 accusations and fails 1 then 30*2 - 30*1 days= 30 days immunity from ability
NOTE: this is a Specialist/Manipulation technique where there is more emphasis on manipulation of words and information.
Pros
- This will lead to strict exchange of information
- As they are trapped in a nen court room they are cut off. Can serve a way to keep someone busy or just pass important time.
- You can force someone with a troublesome ability into a forced zetsu for a said no of days
Cons
- You have to make someone say the Q containing the target keyword (the accusation)
- The decision of jury and judge can be heavily influenced.
- The nen court room can be destroyed if someone identifies the main user and force them to undo it. (the main user will also be present in the court room)
Final Remarks So it will matter heavily how you are able to manipulate the people into asking the Qs and choosing the right last pair of accused and accusing. (that's the beauty of Hunter HUnter, fcking mind games)

2023.06.10 08:12 Instagram_Marketer What is Instagram Mother Child Method ?
The Mother Slave method, also known as the "Mother-child" method, is a highly effective and safe approach for growing an account without compromising its security. This strategy drives a substantial number of targeted audiences to a specific Instagram account, boosting engagement, views, generating leads, and ultimately resulting in sales.
The process is straightforward. Simply run multiple accounts to follow or interact with the target audience, aligned with the niche of the main "mother" account. Each support account should have a unique bio and a cloaked clickable link in the link section. Once a user is followed by a support account, they receive a "follow" notification and can check the account that followed them.
Liking posts of the target audience also sends notifications, prompting them to check the account bio and visit the main (mother) account.
Direct Messaging (DMs) is a critical aspect of this strategy. The message body politely requests the targeted audience to follow the main account. It also mentions the main account, enabling a direct redirection for the audience to follow.
Commenting involves mentioning the main account (@main_account) multiple times. It is important to avoid spamming and actions that may trigger restrictions from Instagram's filters and algorithms.
The combination of follow, like, and DM actions can significantly increase the volume of traffic to the main account. It is essential to adhere to the specified limits and rules mentioned above.

2023.06.10 08:09 Global_Relative_3177 Chapitre 22: Le nome de lâOccident
Bonne lecture.

2023.06.10 08:05 Humourkesh ICAI Campus Placement
Just a knowledge sharing post regarding ICAI campus placement and my experience (Since CA final results will be announced in one month) So after 1 week of CA final result, the placement site will be open for registration in campus placement. Last time result was on 10th Jan and last date for registration was 31st Jan. In the registration form, you have to fill articleship experience, location, no of attempts, other degrees, desired minimum salary, area of interest etc.
Companies shortlist candidates mainly on 3 conditions - No of attempts, Location and articleship.
So after registration, you can see in around one week which companies have shortlisted you in first round. In our case it was 7th Feb. i was shortlisted by 7 companies (multiple attempts CA here). You can see details regarding CTC, job description, Interview dates etc on site when companies short list you. Out of which you can give consent to 4 companies only. I gave consent to a big 4, a bank and 2 MNCs. There will be second round of shortlisting too if you are not short listed in first round.
Then interviews will start. HRs from companies you gave consent will call you and give you details. All my Interviews were on 23rd feb. Last time Interviews were from 21st feb to 8th March. I got selected in Big 4 which I was preparing for mainly. After you get selected you give a final consent to it and all your data gets deleted from the site. The company in which you get selected will contact you through mail/call after that for joining date, offer letter etc. The process is smooth but sometimes some companies shortlist and donât interview candidates. Thatâs a bad thing since candidateâs one consent got wasted. So select companies after giving a thought.
Tldr 1. Companies will short list you on the basis of no of attempts, location, articleship. 2. You can give consent to only 4 companies. 3. You get around 10 days to prepare for interview. 4. Last time minimum CTC was 10 lpa in 90% companies.

2023.06.10 08:04 ammodotcom Best 22 Pistol Ammo: Plinking, Hunting, Competition and More!
The humble .22 Long Rifle has remained one of the most popular rounds on the planet for many decades, and with good reason. Itâs used in everything from AR platform rifles to precision bolt actions to a mind-boggling variety of handguns.
Today weâre going to be focusing on the latter and taking a close look at the best .22 pistol ammo on the market today. Weâve done a lot of testing to find out what performs the best in the widest variety of .22 pistols we could get our hands on.
Our top overall pick is
CCI Standard Velocity because itâs a great general-purpose option that can do it all.
We also have more specific options for plinking, small game hunting, competition, self-defense (yes, from other humans), suppressed shooting, and a bulk option for those who want to have enough ammo to outlast the end of days.
Top 3 Ammo Picks for .22 Pistol
- CCI Standard Velocity - Best Overall
- Federal AutoMatch - Best For Plinking
- Winchester Super-X - Small Game Hunting
Now letâs take a look at our overall winner; then, weâll dive into our individual category winners and a buying guide to help you choose the best .22 ammo for
your pistol and the particular type of shooting youâre doing.
Specs
- Bullet Type: Lead Round Nose
- Bullet Weight: 40gr
- Muzzle Velocity: 1070fps
- Muzzle Energy: 323 ft-lbs
- Casing Type: Brass
Pros
- Affordable
- Feeds well in most pistols
- Cycles reliably in semi-autos and extracts easily in revolvers
- Available in bulk
Cons
- Not ideally suited for hunting or defense
- Soft lead projectile
Why We Chose It
Our top overall choice,
CCI Standard Velocity, worked the best in the most semi-auto .22s we tested it in, itâs very affordable, and you can get it anywhere that sells ammo.
Seriously, this was some of the most reliable ammo of the lot, and while it is a touch more expensive than some of our budget and bulk favorites, I think the greater reliability is worth the tradeoffs.
It was very consistent in terms of velocity, and we had a great time lining up some targets at the range and rapid-firing entire mags into the A-zone of a USPSA silhouette from 10 yards. The high initial velocity also keeps the projectile relatively stable in the air at longer ranges, for what thatâs worth when youâre shooting .22 LR out of a pistol anyway.
Itâs also fairly affordable at around $.12/round, which is on the higher side for .22, but nothing like what youâd pay for match ammo or anything truly high-performance. All in all, this is a great general-purpose option.
Honorable Mention: Federal Champion Value Pack. This is another great option thatâs a little cheaper but still runs like a champ (itâs in the name, after all). Great performer with a standard 36gr lead round nose projectile.
Best .22 Ammo for Pistol Plinking - Federal AutoMatch
Specs
- Bullet Type: Lead Round Nose
- Bullet Weight: 40gr
- Muzzle Velocity: 1145fps
- Muzzle Energy: 128 ft-lbs
- Casing Type: Brass
Pros
- Affordable
- Available in bulk
- Cycles and feeds reliably in most semi-autos
- Reliable primers
Cons
- Soft lead projectile
- Underpowered (may not cycle stiffer semi-autos reliably)
- Not great for hunting
Why We Chose It
Federal AutoMatch is another solid performer that works in a variety of semi-autos. It cycles reliably, and the primers go bang when you ask them to, which is honestly high marks for such cheap rimfire ammo.
Weâve all been stuck using our fingernails to pry an unfired .22 out of a chamber because the primer just refuses to do its job, which isnât a huge deal when youâre out plinking, but it does definitely put a damper on your day.
Especially if you have to stop halfway through a mag multiple times to fix a malfunction thatâs pretty clearly because of an ammo defect. With Federalâs AutoMatch, semi-auto pistol shooters will have fewer issues and much better performance, even compared to more expensive bulk pack options.
Honorable Mention: Remington Thunderbolt 22 LR ammunition is another reliable lead-nose round at a solid price.
Best .22 Pistol Small Game Hunting Ammo - Winchester Super-X
Specs
- Bullet Type: Winchester Power Point CPHP
- Bullet Weight: 40gr
- Muzzle Velocity: 1435fps
- Muzzle Energy: 183 ft-lbs
- Casing Type: Brass
Pros
- Excellent Small-Game Hollow Point
- The copper-plated projectile is harder and more consistent than soft lead
- Reasonably priced for hunting-grade ammo
- The 40-grain bullet is about the maximum youâll get with supersonic 22lr ammunition
Cons
- More expensive than more basic copper-plated hollow points
Why We Chose It
Winchester Super-X is a much-beloved line of hunting ammo that spans a variety of calibers, so we had high hopes for the .22 version. Thankfully, we werenât disappointed. It fed and cycled reliably, and Iâve personally used it to hunt small game and pest animals with great reliability.
It has a fairly high velocity for a .22 LR, especially at this kind of price point, and the copper wash on the hollow point is layered deep enough that it actually makes a difference in how the bullet performs vs. a standard lead projectile with a hollow nose. Sometimes, thatâs not the case.
Not all copper-plated .22 ammo is made equally, and that matters when weâre looking for .22 pistol ammo in particular because a softer lead projectile, or even a low-quality copper-plated projectile, can deform when feeding.
This can cause a jam that can really ruin your hunt if it happens when you need that key follow-up shot. For that reason, a well-made projectile is key here, and the Super-X Power Points have been very reliable on that front.
Honorable Mention:
CCI Mini-Mag is another great hunting choice and the option of choice for A&Eâs
Swamp People, so if you want something thatâs proven to work on at least gator-sized game (with proper shot placement), this is a solid pick.
Best .22 Ammo for Pistol Competition - CCI Pistol Match
Specs
- Bullet Type: Lead round nose
- Bullet Weight: 40gr
- Muzzle Velocity: 1070 fps
- Muzzle Energy: 102 ft-lbs
- Casing Type: Brass
Pros
- Match-grade rimfire performance
- Some of the cheapest competition-grade rimfire ammo
- Very consistent velocity
- Incredibly reliable primers
- Hardened lead projectile (antimony alloy)
Cons
- Still expensive
- Lead round nose bullet is still softer than a copper-washed projectile
Why We Chose It
CCI Pistol Match is one of the go-to options for target competitors around the world. This is the official ammo of a few major national and international .22 pistol and rifle competitions, so we had high hopes for it out of the gate. Thankfully, it didnât disappoint.
Velocities are very consistent, primers are reliable, and groups are as tight as you can expect from a standard .22 pistol. If youâre going to the Olympics or thereâs serious money on the line, there are some other more expensive options out there (Lapua Center-X, etc.), but for us average folks just shooting some steel challenge or what have you, this is a great option.
Honorable Mention: Federal Target Grade. Consistent velocity, good primers, and harder-than-average lead round-nose projectiles. Itâs also very affordable for a match(ish) grade .22 round.
Best .22 Pistol Ammo for Self-Defense - CCI Stinger
Specs
- Bullet Type: Copper-Plated Hollow Points
- Bullet Weight: 32gr
- Muzzle Velocity: 1640 fps
- Muzzle Energy: 191 ft-lbs
- Casing Type: Nickel-Plated Brass
Pros
- Some of the highest-velocity commercially available .22 ammo on the market
- Copper-plated hollow points feed reliably and maintain integrity better than lead
- Extremely high velocity for .22 LR ammo (approaching .22 Magnum speeds)
- Also very capable when hunting small game or varmints
Cons
- 32gr projectile instead of the more common 40gr for .22 defensive rounds
- Itâs still a .22 (not the ammoâs fault, just donât expect centerfire performance here)
Why We Chose It
You may not think of a rimfire pistol as your first option when it comes to self-defense, and in the interests of full disclosure, itâs not my first choice either.
That said, for folks with less than stellar hand strength, very inexperienced shooters, or for those who carry a pint-sized backup concealed carry like an NAA revolver or
Lifecard, then a hyper-velocity .22 is a great option, especially if youâre carrying
CCI Stingers.
No .22, not even
.22 WMR, is going to be able to compete with even the lowest end of defensive centerfire rounds like
.380 ACP. However, with CCI Stingers, youâve got just about the most velocity you can get out of the cartridge, coupled with nickel-plated cases that feed and extract more reliably than brass cases.
The other problem is that you have a 5-inch barrel or less on most .22 pistols, so the ammo you choose has to be very high-velocity. It doesnât get much higher than these.
Lastly, the high-quality copper-plated hollow point bullets reduce lead fouling, feed more reliably, and have a better chance of penetrating bone than a soft-lead bullet. In soft tissue, that hollow nose helps the round expand so you get the most out of the admittedly diminutive diameter of the round.
Overall, if it werenât for the cost, these would have been our overall pick just based on performance and the fact that theyâre accurate enough for target shooting and hit hard enough for self-defense, home defense, or hunting too.
Honorable Mention: Eley High Velocity is another hollow point that has enough speed behind it to be a decent defensive candidate in a pinch. Eleyâs rimfire ammunition, in general, is very high quality and a great option overall.
Specs
- Bullet Type: Black Copper Coated Lead Round Nose
- Bullet Weight: 45gr
- Muzzle Velocity: 1090 fps
- Muzzle Energy: 119 ft-lbs
- Casing Type: Brass
Pros
- Very heavy projectile
- Subsonic out of both pistols and rifles
- Very low muzzle flash
- Plated lead projectile for reduced fouling and better feeding
Cons
- May not cycle some guns
- Expensive
Why We Chose It
Winchester Super Suppressed is a great option for anyone looking to quiet down their .22 pistol.
Suppressing a .22 is a great idea in general, but having the right ammo makes all the difference.
The lightweight, relatively slow bullet makes it a great choice for suppressing, the low pressure means .22 suppressors are dirt cheap compared to something like a centerfire rifle caliber suppressor, and you have a variety of different types of ammo available based on what youâre looking to do.
Winchester Super Suppressed is one of the best-performing subsonic .22s weâve tested, and I can personally confirm that it fed and cycled reliably in my M&P 22, Browning Buckmark, Walther P22, and Ruger 10/22.
The plated 45gr projectile leaves less fouling, which is great when dealing with traditionally dirty .22 semi-autos, which get even dirtier once you add a suppressor into the mix.
Honorable Mention: Specs
- Bullet Type: Copper-Plated Hollow Points
- Bullet Weight: 36gr
- Muzzle Velocity: 1280 fps
- Muzzle Energy: 131 ft-lbs
- Casing Type: Brass
Pros
- Very affordable
- Consistent primers
- Copper-plated projectile
Cons
- Inconsistent velocity
- A little slow for dedicated hunting use
Why We Chose It
Winchester Target & Small Game, also informally known as Winchester White Box, is a perennial favorite among shooters who like to shoot a lot (or at least be prepared to). Itâs one of the most affordable options out there, is frequently available in bulk packs and cases of thousands of rounds, and actually
works even in cantankerous semi-auto pistols.
Itâs a great multi-purpose option that works well for both of its stated purposes. As a target round, it goes more or less where you tell it to, and it goes bang when you want it to, which is all most of us plinkers really need. For more serious target shooting, there are better options, but this is a great training choice.
As a hunting round, there are better choices as well, but Iâve still hunted countless small game animals with this stuff, and so have others. Itâs a solid performer vs. snakes, squirrels, and other varmints.
Lastly, itâs
cheap. If youâre looking to shoot all day, want enough ammo on hand to ride out a shortage (or the apocalypse), or youâre just looking to get some training in on a tight budget, this is the choice for you.
Honorable Mentions: Aguila Super Extra is another affordable 22LR ammo option that you can get in massive quantities without breaking the bank. Itâs a solid performer and one that I was pleased to find cycled well in all of our semi-automatics.
Blazer 22: Yet another affordable option for those looking to âbuy it cheap and stack it deep.â I tend to pick up a brick whenever I have a new .22 to test out, and itâs my go-to for those days when Iâm teaching new shooters as well.

best bulk .22 ammo options for more ideas.
This close look at all the best .22 ammo options out there should give you all the info you need to find the right ammo for
your gun and specific shooting circumstances, but if youâd like a little more info on .22 pistol ammo in general, youâll find that below.
.22 LR Ammo Buying Guide & Additional Info
When youâre choosing any ammo, there are a number of considerations to keep in mind. Weâre going to take a look at some of the specific things to be aware of when choosing .22 pistol ammo and answer a few frequently asked questions we see a lot.
Choosing .22 Pistol Ammo for Various Uses
First, letâs discuss the most common uses for a .22 pistol and how to choose the right ammo for each.
Choosing .22 Ammo for Hunting
When choosing
hunting ammo, the most important consideration is the ability to secure a clean, ethical kill with a single bullet. Now, you can technically kill anything that walks the earth with a .22, butâŠobviously, there are practical limits.
The reality is a .22 is only ever going to be an effective hunting tool for very small game and pest species. Think rabbits, squirrels, snakes, and the like.
For this type of hunting/pest control, you can probably get by with standard lead round nose (LRN) projectiles, but really youâll want a copper-plated hollow point of at least 32gr and moving over 1200fps if at all possible.
This will give you the energy to deal with small game animals and pests reliably and will reliably cycle something like a temperamental semi-auto as well.
Choosing .22 Ammo for Plinking
For plinking, probably the most common use for a .22 pistol, the chief criteria is typically going to be the cost per round. Fortunately,
bulk .22LR is probably the cheapest ammo on the planet, with some of the more budget-minded options coming in around $.08/round these days.
This makes it a great option for training as well, and is why you can get a .22 LR equivalent of most popular firearms, including AR-15s, Glocks, precision bolt actions, and more. This allows for some very affordable training with a very similar platform.
Is this type of ammo always super reliable? Unfortunately not, but for just blasting holes in old soda cans or exploding clay pigeons, that doesnât matter so much. On the training side of things, you could even look at a dud primer or failure to extract as a feature instead of a bug.
After all, it forces you to practice your malfunction clears. Of course, we donât want to spend all our time clearing stovepipes, but the occasional tap-rack-bang never hurt anybody at the range. Choose something from a reliable, well-known brand, and youâll be just fine.
Choosing .22 Ammo for Target Shooting/Competition
For serious target shooting or competition, we need to step things up a little bit, and the
bulk pack plinking ammo may not quite get the job done anymore. The sky is the limit here, and you can start getting ammo that costs $.40/round or more.
This is typically for something like
NRL22, which involves using a .22 rifle to hit 3â targets at 100 yards. Not something youâd typically do with a .22 handgun unless maybe youâre
Jerry Miculek.
For handguns, high-velocity match-grade ammo can be had for $.25-$.30/round because you really donât need the consistency demanded by something like NRL22.
That said, if youâre qualifying for a major competition or thereâs serious money on the line, maybe pony up for the good stuff, eh?
Choosing .22 Ammo for Defense
Lastly, and most contentiously, we have .22 pistol ammo for self and home defense.
I know, I know, it wouldnât be the first thing I would reach for either, but for certain shooters, it makes a lot of sense. My mother is in her 70s and has arthritis, and her hand strength wasnât super great, to begin with. For her, racking the slide on even a small .380 or 9mm isnât an option.
She can yank back the extended grab handle on Ruger Mark IV, though. And I personally agree with her that 10 rounds of high-test .22 are a lot more effective at stopping a human attacker than harsh language or appeals to their better nature.
There are also a host of backup/holdout/micro-carry .22 options out there, like NAA revolvers, the Lifecard, and other derringer-style guns that people carry regularly. If thatâs the case, and youâve only got a few shots of an already-underpowered cartridge, you definitely need them to be good ones.
In that case, I recommend getting the highest-velocity defense-focused ammo you can. Something leaving the barrel at 1400fps+, with a nice slick nickel-plated casing and a well-designed hollow point. The CCI Stingers we talked about earlier, or
Federal Punch ammo are both good choices.
