I don't think this game is bad. Like, I don't think it sucks. But it isn't a great game and I really wish people would stop acting like it is. It also isn't "polished" and I really wish people would stop saying that.
Just look at all the top feedback. It's requests for some of the most basic and obvious things that everyone naturally expects to exist in a game like this. The fact that these things do not exist is something people should be really interested in and you should really think about it before trying to defend the game super reactionary style. This is just a small selection of the most common and obvious grievances
Seriously, though, try and put yourself in the position of someone who is working on this every day for years. You are part of a team (or set of teams, really). How do these items never come up in discussion ever? How is it possible they consciously decided to not have ANY of these things?

First of all, glad we agree it's not "polished." If your bar for "polished" is that you were able to actually play the game when it launched, well you should maybe look inward on that one as to how hard you've been gaslit over the years.
Second, this is one of the most succesful game studios in the world. They have the absolute most money and (theoretically) talent to throw at projects like the next iteration of a flagship product. Contextually, this game should be considered universally unacceptable.
They should be setting a standard, not failing to live up to one that already exists and has been surpassed by other much smaller studios.
I dunno why everyone rides Blizzard's dingledong so hard and then turns around and shit talks EA. They are the exact same. It's time to move away from these companies.
Anyway, I don't think this game is very good. I think it's overpriced for what it is and largely annoying to play (hur hur we can make it "harder" by just stacking CC mobs to chain disable players, because not being able to play your character is what makes things difficult! lol). Most of the mechanics are annoying. The end game gameplay loop is not fun at all. I am very tired of taking bloodstones to the pedastals. Just let me kill stuff.
But that's just like...my opinion man.
I would heavily encourage people who like these types of games to sincerely consider Path of Exile, Undecember, or Last Epoch. All three of these games are miles better than Diablo 4 in nearly every respect. They are all F2P as well.

Just look at all the top feedback. It's requests for some of the most basic and obvious things that everyone naturally expects to exist in a game like this. - Completed Quest Log. You have a quest journal. It does not have historic entries. So it's not a "journal" then...IS IT...
- Mark items as Keep instead of Junk
- Buff/Debuff Timers (like literally every other game)
- World Boss / World Event Timers and better announcements/notifications
- Finding yourself on the map should require zero effort (generally the map is bad and bland, needs to be polished...)
- Group Finder / Matchmaking
- Search functionality in stash and inventory
- Loot Filter
- Item Enchantment is a black box, unlike D3 where the system is literally copied from
- Gem Pouch / Sigil Tab / Stash Woes in general
- Nightmare dungeons aren't worth it, and having to travel to them is ridiculous
- Bosses should not be the easiest mob in the dungeon

Hi! So in the past days used SillyTavern and self hosted Pygmalion 6b and now 13b with the 4 bit quantization mode on my RTX 3070 8GB and I must day these are impressive! I used AIDungeon and NovelAI back in the day and as much as the AI generation definitely takes longer by me self hosting (ranges of 8-16 seconds on Pygmalion 6b and 18-26 seconds on Pygmalion 13b) it's still impressive how reactive and how good quality the AI's responses are! However I have heard there's many other models and that also Poe seems to be web hosted, which sparked my curiosity as in it might help me save generation times and VRAM usage for other things like the SileronTTS or Stable diffusion and I have yet to try Poe but for those who have tried both Poe and Pygmalion how would you say they compare and what are each best at? I don't mind doing edits on the AI's output to have consistency but I don't want to constantly have an uphill battle against it, so the model that can climb alongside me is preferred.

it sounds horrible. i know, but hear me out. i (20F) have been tasked my whole life with taking care of my severely autistic brother (16M). growing up, my parents worked very abnormal jobs with abnormal schedules, leaving the care of my brother to me and sometimes my younger sister (19F) since we were about 8 and 7. my brother cannot speak full sentences. he can only say tv show characters names and “yes” and “no”. he cannot dress himself, feed, or bathe himself. he is very destructive. my entire family has been covered in bruises and scratches from him throwing stuff or hitting us. he doesn’t sleep either. he screams and cries through the night, every night. i have lost so many hours of sleep lmao. but to make matters worse, he makes people feel very uncomfortable. he will get naked in public, and inappropriately touch girls (including me and my sister, since i could remember, and honestly i was way too young to even know what was happening). all this has lead to destruction of our family (parents divorced when pandemic hit), my childhood being robbed from me by watching him all the time, and both me and my sisters mental health being compromised. since the pandemic, i’ve moved away to college, and things seemed to have gotten better with my brother. my mom got a great job and a great helpful partner who my brother loves, and we moved to a place with better resources. i haven’t watched him since i moved away to school. i go to a nice private university out of state where i have amazing friends, the best boyfriend and good grades, but decided to come home for a week and a half in between leases. i was originally only supposed to be back for a that time, but my mom has now made me stay for over a month to be a full time care taker for my brother. it has been a nightmare. i have to take him out every hour to the same 4 places in which he screams at random people in public, throws tantrums 24/7 and i had to run to prevent him from touching a young girl in a swimsuit at the beach today. he is 16 and huge. i’m big and strong but he will over power me. i get so many looks of discomfort from people and i can’t take it anymore. i don’t have a job to pay rent at my house i’m supposed to be at with my friends, instead i’m at home feeling the same horrible shame and uncomfortableness i’ve felt my whole life. i can’t wear half my wardrobe bc to don’t want to be touched! my mom and her partner both work a stressful busy job, and she does everything that she can super well and i understand they need extra help but he is not my problem. he needs professional help. i let my mom know about all my concerns but she hits me with the fact she can’t afford a full time care giver and that i’m a horrible family member for not doing my part. he’s not my problem. i’m an adult with a completely life over 1000 miles away from home. i can’t drop everything to relive trauma that i’ve worked to overcome and move past. i know if he’s ever placed in my care permanently i will immediately put him in a home. am i the asshole for feeling this way???

I (F16) and my sister (F23) have always been really close. Often we'll come to each other about our problems relating to basically everything but as of recent she handles most situations without much empathy (or at least I think so). Today I was telling her about a situation I've been having with our stepmom. For context, my stepmom is super into healthy eating and is currently on a keto diet - as such, our household is usually stocked up with foods that I don't particularly enjoy eating but I'll usually eat anyways - our household is void of anything containing flour or sugar e.g., bread. I always make my lunch for school, and this diet has changed the food around quite a bit (often repetitive or not as tasty as the original in terms of bread) so as of recent, every now and then I'll buy lunch at school with my own money when the opportunity presents itself or sometimes I just wont eat. The lunch I made in turn, goes back into the fridge for me to bring the following day or if someone else wants it. After my my stepmom confronted me about how I sometimes don't eat my lunch, she decided to stop purchasing the only snack that I did enjoy eating which my sister has also been relying on as a snack when we get hungry (a snack which doesn't typically fall under keto). So, when my sister got home I was explaining to her about why we wont be having the snacks anymore and I started off by telling her about how sometimes I'll buy lunch (I didn't wanna get into my avoiding meals) and she immediately told me off for doing so because I don't have much money of my own and I told her that she doesn't understand because she doesn't have to eat what I eat everyday (she has more of an opportunity to go out for lunch/dinner and she has a paying job which means she can afford it) which I admit was quite a stuck up sentence when isolated of context. Anyways, she went on to saying I sounded like a brat, and when I got upset that she did she told me to suck it up because not everyone in the world would be nice to me. I did end up explaining what I meant when I said the sentence but she told me that next time I should just apologise for wording it the way I did. I thought her explanation didn't justify her calling me names especially since I wasn't trying to pick a fight and I thought it was unfair for her to group herself with 'the world' and justify her actions because we're sisters and how we speak to each other will definitely differ how people who don't know us like we know each other would. I did end up apologising for how I said what I said but I thought it wasn't fair for her to speak to me like that.

And I've decided that I want to take a weekly progress picture with my new kitten. So I can look back and watch her grow up as I go through my transition.
Week -1 turned out super cute. She's so small she can just sit in my hand. And you can really tell I started laser hair removal, went to the local pride parade and got a new kitten today.
