Hospitality staff are being forced to escort frightened tourists or visitors back to CBD hotels as the state’s liquor watchdog extends takeaway alcohol sale restrictions until the festive season. Authorities are battling alcohol-fuelled violence and anti-social behaviour blighting Adelaide’s most popular areas amid reports harassment and petty CBD street crime is still a “big problem”.

A special state government safety body, which endorsed the ban extension, last week heard how city anti-social behaviour was still a “big problem”, particularly around the Adelaide Railway Station on North Tce. Senior officers told the Safety and Wellbeing Taskforce that numerous calls were “needing police attention” despite early results showing restrictions maybe working. Police, who have boosted patrols to troubled hot spots through Operation Paragon, and bureaucrats have further heard how security guards at a popular city pub were assaulted in consecutive days in the past fortnight.
Reported problems involve indigenous groups, record levels of homeless people suffering through the cost of living crisis, significant mental health issues and drunken revellers. Politicians and staff working late at Parliament House have been warned to leave in pairs and to avoid long waits for buses amid violent incidents, including assaults.

Episode 3 Photo Perfect: When T.J Detweiler and Jose Caroilica read up on a news article about a famous gay couple (Gladstone Gander and Roy Fox) getting married at the hotel, the picture of the couple’s first kiss is estimated to be worth $600,000. Episode 4 Sick on the 25th Floor: T.J Detweiler is stricken with a severe case of chickenpox and has to stay home for three weeks. With Darryel and Scratch of all people watching over his recovery. Meanwhile Anne and her friends partake in the girl’s soccer team and wins the national championship
Episode 5 Baseball Drop: Peter Prickly takes T.J, Jose, Wander and Sylvia to a Dodgers game and when Wander catches the baseball that wins the Dodges the game, Wander becomes the most beloved person in L.A. Meanwhile Candance Flynn and Anne Boonchuy are selected to co-host this year’s Oscars awards but Candance is nervous about this having stage fright so Anne assists Candance get over her stage fright.
Episode 6 Rumor Mill: When Anne starts a rumor about Candance and Jeremy getting back together and they go on break, in response, Candance spreads rumors that Anne and her parents support hardline Republicans who support machine gun legalization (repealing the NFA), enacting a federal 6-week abortion ban, hiring 870,000 ICE agents to deport entire families and massively expanding the fossil fuel industry. Then Anne spreads rumors that Candace and her parents support hardline progressive Democrats who want to make public utilities publicly owned and it’s employees government workers (making them eligible for union benefits), make the rich pay 94% in income taxes, a 65% wealth tax and make campaigning and elections publicly funded. Meanwhile T.J and Libby are selected to represent Third Street School at the Week in Washington program.
Episode 7 Heck’s Kitchen: When Fox News’ Greg Gutfield and Tyrus arrive for a stay at the Boonchuy Plantar Hotel, it’s all hands on deck, things take a turn for the worse when Emeril Lagasse (voiced by himself) is out sick. Vince LaSalle with his cooking and his parent's party affiliation impresses the host so much he offers guest spots to him and his family on his show. However this concerns Anne as Greg Gutfield and Tyrus are both Republicans and that Anne and her parents align themselves with Democrats.
Episode 8 Bowling Team: It’s revealed that Vice LaSalle possesses a gift for bowling and enrolls in the school's bowling team.
Episode 9 Detweler x Davenport: After T.J spends some time with Andra Davenport, he introduces some of his favorite hobbies and she introduces him to her hobbies.
Episode 10 Frightmares at Room 208: Lawson dares T.J to spend a week at Room 208 inhabited by Frghtmears and in order to make it through the week he convinces Ollie to join in.
Episode 11 Christmas at the Boonchuy-Plantar Hotel: When a major snowstorm snows in everyone at the Boonchuy-Plantar and with that comes delays in presents, T.J reminds everyone that Chrsistmas is about spending time with your loved ones and is the greatest Christmas gift of all.

We're just back after our first trip to DLP and also our first trip abroad with our 3 kiddies between 4 and 11.
I've read some comments here regard issues with heat exhaustion and wait times etc. Or issues where they needed to get buss or Ubers. Personally we had no issues... But for advice to anyone going, here's what we did and would do differently next time.
Bring kids juice bottles and refill at water stations (there's one on your right just after you enter Disneyland Park)
We got to do the popular attractions due to great advice I found online.... between 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm when people are getting lunch and dinner really worked a treat... Spiderman was only 15 minute wait, same with Ratatouille and pictures with Antman/The Wasp.
Bring comfortable shoes,sun cream, hat and sunglasses.
If you have your usn stroller bring it, it gave us that little buffer to keep the littlest one comfortable and out of the cranky tired zone. And it was of minimal inconvenience bringing it.
Bring a little bit of cash just incase, I did because I read card machines go down...didn't experience it but just in case I suppose.
We did not need passport/ID to verify our Park tickets at the gates.
The shuttle for Hotel B&B, Explorers Hotel etc picks up at Stop Q. Users collect from Five Guys area out by the exit near Disney Village (Walk past Disney Studios on your right and Village on your left and keep straight)
Get familiar with Disney App and Uber app etc if you aren't already familiar.
The shuttles away from the parks to Hotel B&B were unreliable time wise, they didn't go as frequently as advertised/suggested during our stay. Also they were consistently packed like sardine tins regardless of time.
Do not use the Taxi Drivers offering their "Great price taxi, only 5 minutes" they are quite intimidating and get close also at time, there's lots of them at night and nobody uses them, I read they charge crazy prices and get aggressive if you dont pay the crazy price.
My own opinion on my top 5 experiences of DLP.

1. Ratatouille (was so surprised at how much fun this was)
2. Avengers Flight Force
3. Disney Fireworks
4. Mickey and The Magician show
5. Parades (Lunch znd evening) were brilliant.

All Other attractions were great, from Peter Pan flight to Pirates of Carribean were all brilliant.
Personally, I'd stay at a hotel in Disney grounds next time, shuttles ran every 5 to 10 minutes and only looked half empty leaving the parks, I was envious of this whilst standing in a cattle mart queue and having to fling my kiddies onto the shuttle for our hotel 🤣
TLDR: Based off our own first time visit with 3 young kids, what we did, enjoyed and would do differently.

This is a little word of advice for getting to know a partner before commitment ensues. I am a 34M and been in and out of the dating world. These are the few things I’ve learned in my experiences:
1) Always be patient and take your time to learn about someone. It doesn’t happen in 3 months, 6 months or even within a year. Confessing your love for someone 2 months in, love bombing and expressing that you cannot live without them will scare the living hell out of healthy personality types.
2) Expressing your traumas and fears are a part of learning someone. Always be under the understanding that not all people can handle other peoples traumas or personality traits, no matter how “right” or “amazing” the feelings are while being with this person.
3) In the first 6 months, don’t push to get to know their family, friends, kids or social network. Focus on them, focus on who they are with you, what they bring to the table and how you both can mesh each others needs in a relationship. Before this is solidified, nobody should be meeting anyone’s extended social network.
4) Learn how to communicate. Everyone communicates different and lots of people have different personality traits, which include, anxious, secure and avoidant attachment styles. In order for any relationship to succeed, both parties need to make sure they are comfortable with the way they are able to communicate their feelings, frustrations, issues and ideas to the person they want to be with.
5) Do not try to change yourself or another person to fit the relationship status quo. They may be gorgeous, intimate, attractive, but changing your likes and personality to suit someone else’s needs or wants will end up in disaster. Be yourself, let them fall in love with who you are not who they want you to be.
6) Do not use sex as a distraction from the issues that stem from a relationship. Sex can be amazing, you may feel this person is so attracted to you and can make you feel amazing. But, the second arguments or disagreements are put under the rug and sex is the main priority, it will blow up later on. Trust me.
7) Most people are aware of what manipulation and toxicity is. Do not be offended if someone removes themselves from your life if you are portraying toxic behaviors or emotionally abusive tactics.
8) Most breakups hurt the most because people fall into this cloud of “love” that because you love this person they would do nothing to hurt you even if they have expressed their issues with the relationship. The only way that gets fixed if you deal with the issue at hand. If one partners issues keep going undiscussed or stone walled, expect the other person to pull back due to the lack of respect when bringing up important things.
9) Nobody is responsible for your happiness but you! If you are recognizing unhealthy behaviors when starting relationships, step back, get some therapy and love yourself before you love someone else. You will thank me.
10) Do not stay in any relationship no matter how amazing if you feel unsafe or walking on constant eggshells no matter the reason. Life is to short to waste.
Edit:
11) When one partner deicdes to call it quits, give each other the respect and time to heal. Even if you don't think you should be apart, time = clarity. DO NOT contact their friends, their family, or anyone on your partners side regarding your emotions or to get info on your ex. Its toxic, if you ever have a chance to get back together, this will truly destory it.
12) Understanding why the relationship broke down is important. It helps you understand who you are, what changes to make moving forward and being grateful that you had the chance to learn from all this. DO NOT beat yourself up, FORGIVE yourself for it, because you are 1 in 8 billion in terms of humans in this world. You’re leaning, just like everyone else. 8 billion other people are also going through the same roller coaster ride and learning who they are. Be kind to yourself, be patient, there is no perfect way of doing any of this. Relationships are meant to break down, its how we get back up that makes us who we are. Love yourself.

- Today is Jun 10th, 2 weeks after the date on the approval email, still nothing. No email that my passport is dispatched, nothing.
- I have seen so many people on this subreddit submitting biometrics to VFS on the same day as I am and they have all received their passport 2 weeks ago or a week ago.
- I have rung UKVI and even they are confused as to why I still hvn't received my passport. I've gone up to VFS, they say they don't have my passport either.
- I have thrown so much money away extending my stay here in HK and it is honestly anxiety-inducing. Going into this next week, I am still unsure if my passport will be dispatched.
Anyone has any idea what I should do next? I am stuck and any help is much appreciated. Thank you so much

Story is going to be long, please cope with me! I, 27 (f) have an elder sister, lets call her Sarah (32 f). Sarah always wanted to go out with friends and make any excuse to not share some time with me. I understand this, because of our age gap. She would always make excuses to NOT go out even on a simple walk with me... She would call me when she need something from me - help her write her homework done, when she needs a 'canvas' to put makeup on and pretty much 'play as makeup artist'. Of course I was happy to help, that was my moment to share with her. I was a young child and have VERY sensitive skin until this very day. That didnt stop her for putting low-quality makeup on her baby sister. This was the time we spend together as siblings when she was at highschool.
When she went to Uni it wasnt way different - she went to another city. I call her on the phone, to just talk - shes busy or doesnt answer. At some point, I started calling her from our mom's phone, since she would answer her. The moment she finds out im the one calling - she would put the phone own, making any excusses. I was turning 16 at one point and instead of being with my friends, I wanted to be with her - that was my wish. So i visited her in her city for days - her sweet roommate knew how old i was turning and even had the care to buy me a pwush. My sister, on the other hand, mistook my age.. we had 2 fun days, going out, watching some videos at her place - her roomate went to her bf's place so i could have her bed.. i still keep the plush and adore her for what kind person she is...
Time goes by, my sister finds summer job at the seaside. I went to visit her for about 5 days, claiming i wanted to go to the beach, but i really wanted to spend some time with her, show her that ive grown up and have better topics to talk about with her... Once, I saw her looking at a man in specific way - i knew at that moment she was all over him, but got all shy and didnt even talk to him more that 'is the job here done?'... So i decided to use my 'childish' charm and pretend to be dumb and stopped him while he was passing our table while asking things like 'oh, do you also work here?' what do you work?' and so on. We ended up being invited for a drink - turned out he was also shy to talk to her... I remember them thanking me for doing that, because they both talked as friends to each other since then. I was happy for her. They ended up being married and having two kids. Years go by, me and mostly my mom go visit her, to help with the childcare and housework. She didnt work, but raising a child even without a job is NOT an easy task. I had my own life - I was at Uni, I had a bf, he even once came along to babysit. Things were serious between us, we even lived together at one point. We broke up, went our ways, I had to focus on University more than ever, because as years passed, the material got harder to understand and learn. I had 2 subjects, the hardest ones that i didnt pass 2 times in a row... Not passing it for a 3d time could mean a dropuot for me or at least paying more taxes... Having to study even harder, homeworks going on and on, along with the projects - i had NO free time for myself... During this time, my mother was also working at my homecity. My sister was in a 3d destination, se we were all split up.
Sarah decided it was finally time for her to get her drivers licence. My mom couldnt drop out from work, so that left me to go and help with babysitting. So the only free month i had during the summer (because of the exams i didnt manage to pass 2 times in a row) I spend at her place, taking care of the 2 kids, one going to kindergarden, the other staying at home cuz its still a barely walking baby. I had to take care of ther animals as well - they lived at a village, that allows people to have animals, lucky for me chicks and a dog only. Had to clean everything up as fast as possible, the house, the outdoors, everything, we had to go for walks, had to clan up the baby and pretty much everything a mom does in her daily life.
Sarah was able to cook before she went to her instructor. She came back home, quite late, so usually i would be at her place, helping out her husband with his stuff and playing with the kids so they wouldnt be bored. I didnt mind any of that, because i went there to help her and love my nieces. It was summer, it was boiling hot - i had to keep in mind on what and WHEN to plan it during the day, since the kids are usually even more sensitive. So i did all and im happy with myself. My mom told me she could come and help, already, so i was happy, because i still needed to focus on my study...
I was at my sister's place for a whole month and when we said 'goodbye' to each other, she said 'well thats a short amount of time you coped with it, but i guess, good enough.' and I lookead at her, trying to understand what she just said. She realised i wasnt understanding her, so explained: 'you coped with my kids and house for a month, but thats nothing for me, i have to cope with all of that on daily basis'.
I've felt as a second hand human for quite some time, since people call me whenever they need me, but are almost NEVER there for me when i need them. And the few times they were, they would give me not just any advice, but usually a non-practical one... Since that moment I spent the next 5 YEARS not going to her place at all. I went this year once, they still live in not-wash-to-be-for-years rug. You can imagine the rest. Yes, she was a staymom for 10 years. Her kids are spoiled and have no knowedge, nor good behaviour.
She still hasnt bothered to wirte me a single 'how are you doing? are you doing okay latelly?'
Soon she needed help again, i was the only one who could manage it, because our parents couldnt and her husband DIDNT WANT TO get bothered with her stuff. So i did it yet again and i could get seriously fined if she hasnt done all the documents as she should have. But thats another topic on its own.

2023 was first attempt with full year of prep. Not scoring enough to clear GS cut off. After seeing the strange prelims paper I decided that I don't want to extend my gap year after masters (already spent 2 years unemployed). So did some job hunting and fortunately got a well paying job in a good organization. Now I definitely want to give 2 more attempts. Some people are saying that there was no need for me to get a job since it was only my first attempt. But the lack of a backup was scary, so I really think that I don't wanna stay at home and prepare. I'd rather try to manage studies with job.
What do you guys think, should I go ahead with the offer or extend my gap with another year without a job at hand?

Having my wedding in a hotel and we are planning a "farewell" brunch the morning after. Curious to know if anyone has observations on how many people actually attend a morning-after brunch after RSVPing "yes". Much of our crowd is out of towners staying in the hotel, but I have to raise an eyebrow at the locals who are staying in their own houses 20 min away. (Are they really going to drive back in and pay for parking?) And even with the folks staying at the hotel, I imagine some of them will prioritize sleep and packing in the end.
Curious about this because a family friend recently held a post-wedding brunch and wasted thousands of dollars due to no-shows.

I’ve been saying this for a while, I am not in the camp of wanting to trade Jaylen. I love (and sometimes hate) this team and I would be perfectly fine trying to run it back with this group.
That said, if we were to trade Jaylen, there are very few guys to get back that I’d consider, but Jaren Jackson Jr would be a great (semi-realistic) fit to get back. Here’s what I’d propose:
Jaylen & timelord for JJJ & Clarke.
Memphis desperately needs a wing like Jaylen, who would be a great fit there since he would be the second option after Ja. However, if they are giving up JJJ they need another big to anchor the defense, so we sweeten the pot by adding in timelord in exchange for Clarke.
From the Celtics standpoint, timelord is expendable at that point because JJJ can do almost anything timelord can (especially defensively) but a lot more. He provides a pick and roll partner for Tatum (and smart/white/Brogdon when Tatum is out), he can space the floor and score in the post, and is an elite versatile defender who can guard the post and be a “rover” blocking shots off the ball like timelord. You then re-sign Grant and go with a double big lineup most of the time, except when you go double big with Al and JJJ all 5 guys can shoot so you kinda get the best of both small and big. Without Jaylen, White, smart, and our other guards could pick up more of the slack with ball handling and running the offense when Tatum is out, which they’re capable of doing especially with a great big like JJJ to run pick and roll with. And most importantly, JJJ is only 24 and under contract for reasonable money (like $25M per) for 3 more years.
And Clarke I don’t know as much about but he’s a solid 4th big on a reasonable contract (like $12M per); could always reroute him too, he’s not integral to the deal.
The biggest hurdle (other than Memphis likely being pretty attached to JJJ) is Jaylen would have to commit to extending with Memphis cause no way they’re doing this with just 1 year on Jaylens deal without assurances he’ll stay.
